Even on a busy night, service is good, and most nights are busy. Sweetwaters has been a staple of the Burlington downtown for decades and every time I have gone since first arriving in VT, I have never been disappointed. The menu isn't stagnant, the quality is reliable and the atmosphere is great for a quiet meal for 2, people watching from outdoor tables in warmer months, or a great place to take a break while shopping on Church Street. Highly recommended.
My husband and I love Sweetwaters! We come down once a year for our anniversary. Always get sweet potato fries and pulled pork nachos! They are so super good and the leftovers are great for the kids
Awsome service and food
It's nice to be back so these 4 stars are emotional before I've done anything but sit and order a Shed Mountain Ale. Sweetwater's is a staple, possibly THE staple of downtown drinking and dining. Great, classic feel, pleasantly greeted and quickly served my beer. Not crowded on a Wednesday night but so what. I recommend this place for the history and ambiance alone. I'll review the food and service after I sit to eat.
Very good but not great. Service was great, beer was great, people watching was great, prices were great, food was good.
Good comfort food here
Food was great! Loved the atmosphere! Service was outstanding!
Food and service was awesome !!!
Truly a gem in the heart of Burlington! From the food to the waitstaff, you'll love it and be blown away by the quality. This is a MUST to visit if you're ever in Burlington.
Great outside dinning experience!
Great happy hour style food, scallops were phenomenal
Went there today and had the brisket dinner. It was a good half inch thick and fell apart into bite sized pieces as soon as it saw my fork. Corn bread was outstanding also. Got it on waitress suggestion and very happy I did. Very helpful and pleasant staff and excellent food.
My new fave place in Burlington! Great beers, better food, best service!
Nice drinks!
Great food! The pulled pork nachos were awesome. Big and yummy burgers and great root beer too. The service was quick and friendly and best of all, very dog friendly!
Absolutely awesome food, atmosphere and phenomenal service! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and warmness of our server.
Great food and a gluten free menu. Cool restaurant!
Great spot on church st food is good staff go out of there way to much sure you have a great time
The service was great. Food was very sub-par. Chicken on both the sandwich (which was very fast-food-like) and the caesar salad was extremely dry, not sliced, and a meager portion. Sweet potato fries were flavorless and shriveled.
Went for dinner with a group of 16 on a Saturday between a Lyric show between the matinee and evening performance. Was part of the Lyric crew and Sweetwater's accommodated us beautifully. We were able to all sit together in a side room. Had Shrimp with Pesto & Pasta. Delicious! Side garden salad with raspberry vinagrette to start. One of my friends got sweet potato fries for the table. Everything was wonderful. Our server, Emma Rose was knowledgeable and friendly. She got us our meal, then our individual checks very quickly. Thanks for the Lyric discount during Show Week!
Good food and drink inside and outside. Friendly efficient staff.
The food is good but the service was so long and the waitress made so many mistakes that I tought I would sleep there....
They food was good but as others have mentioned, it’s a bit expensive for what it is.v The service was alright but it was obvious the waitress didn’t want to be there.
friendly staffand good food. beer was a bit disappointing. rep: Yes I know. but it did not taste fresh..
Good veggie burger and sweet potato fries. Great server.
Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. We were approached right away, seated immediately, and our server was very pleasant. The food came out quickly and was quite tasty. And on top of it all, they had Heady Topper.... Pretty much a no brainer.
Per my waiters recommendation, I ordered the Misty Knoll Chicken Pasta and it was absolutely delicious! As if it couldn’t get better they had one of my favorite deserts, a nice warm brownie with ice cream on top large enough for two! Awe-mazing! Service matched the quality of the food!
Fantastic!! Food was absolutely amazing & so was the service. Beatriz, our server, was top notch. I'm a restaurant manager from Atlanta & I could not be more impressed with Beatriz & the deliciousness of every dish we had. The mussels were some of the best I've ever had, the shrimp pasta left nothing desired & the maple cream brulee was better than perfect! Will definitely be back during my next visit.
Just had dinner here with the family. They have a very nice selection of local beers and everyone enjoyed their meal. Nice spot!
food was simply delicious .
Excellent food in a charming pedestrian mall. Nice outdoor patio and parking available.
Excellent service from Meghan
Terrible Food, fish & chips were burned, salad wilted, burger overcooked.
Good food. Good service. Very nice atmosphere seating outdoors is alot of fun people watching.mussels were great, fresh. Clam chowder was average. Fish & chips with beer batter was delicious. The steak was good if a bit over cooked for rare. Tasty anyway. Worth a visit in the middle of Church street. Pricing average .
The food was delicious and staff was wonderful. My granddaughter has celiac and had a great menu for her..
The service was good. Unfortunately it stops there. Food was far below expectations and the biggest disappointment - a dry burned to death burger. Free WiFi is a joke as the network isn’t even connecting to the internet. So may be go there for a drink but that’s it.
Had a family dinner here with three generations. Everyone enjoyed their meals
Great restaurant!! Our order got confused a bit, but the waiter & management were very apologetic and made things right. Everyone at our table loved their meal selection. The burger was fantastic, best I've ever eaten. I highly recommend.
Pulled pork nachos were amazing!!!
Poutine! Fantastic
Food was awful, bartender was busy on her phone and chatting it up with the staff instead of checking on us. Beautiful beautiful place and great layout but if they could only improve the menu it would be perfect.
Excellent service (Matt). DELICIOUS meals (6 people 6 different dinners). We shared 1 dessert which was plentiful!
Great pub. Had a few beers and something to eat. Was pleased by the meal and the service. Church Street is, I think, one of the tourist spot, so you can see lot of us. Doesn't remove the charm of that pub.
This is one seriously great place to eat. American Food with a lot of creativity. Wait Staff was amazing. They had a water bowl for your dog, since people bring their dogs to Church Street. The bathrooms are clean. We sat outside and it was really amazing, inside is an old bank that is pretty cool as well. I had salmon and it was cooked perfectly, my daughter tuna and it was amazing as well. My Great Grandson had a delicious pasta with cheeses and basil. We shared Calamari and it was so tasty. The prices were right in line with the quality of the meal. I would definitely go back again.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere here - sitting out on the patio people watching on Church Street was great. The service was a bit slow getting our food, and the food itself was pretty forgettable other than the fries, which were great. My salad was pretty good but nothing outstanding. This is a solid choice for reliable food in a good location.
Friendly staff and good food. The Poutine with Pulled Pork starter is very large and more than a meal for the average diner.
This cozy bar/restaurant located in the center of downtown Burlington is the perfect dinner spot. We started with a hefty plate of pulled pork nachos that blew my mind with flavor. The service was great and it was nice and warm, perfect to get out of the Vermont cold. definitely coming again.
Steak was on special the night we ate there. Ordered it and it came on a bed of rice. The steak cost $34 and tasted like a $5 flat cube steak. It was so fatty and even more chewy. Rice was undercooked and hard. Waiter didn't really care too much. I'm a local and have eaten here a few times and I think this place is a rip off and a tourist trap. If you want good food for top dollar go to the farmhouse.
Agreeable place. The bison burger is good and the root beer too. The service is nicely.
Highly recommend the French Onion Soup! We ate on the patio with heaters. Really good for people watching.
After a 45 minute wait for our burgers both were over cooked!! We both ordered the naked burger I wanted it medium and my husband rare and when it arrived both were well done....almost charred. The only reason I gave two stars is the server was very responsive and the manager apologized for the error and offered to redo our orders. We refused as we didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes and he ended up giving us a discount despite the fact that we said it was necessary.
Excellent spot in the center of town. Have to sit outside to appreciate it. Turkey burger without that poultry taste.
Church St was a planned stop on our motorcycle trip and one of our guys wanted to go back to this place as he has eaten here before. It is a little pricey, like most said here, due to it's location and tourists. Can't blame them on that business decision. The pulled pork nacho appetizer was really good, the French Onion soup was okay, and the chicken macaroni dish I had was nothing special. The staff was attractive and nice. Again, can't blame them for that business decision either. Overall, a good tourist stop.
We only stopped by to sit outside and enjoy a drink while people watching on Church Street. The service was pretty slow and since it was towards the end of the night a lot of the beers were out. It is a great location to enjoy the fun on Church St but the service was pretty lacking and made it hard to get that second beer.
Ok place food was so-so drinks were ok.
Has a pretty good menu at a pretty good price. Its definitely one of the best if you are on Church street
Always delish! Friendly staff!
What a great lunch, and great service! Thanks Beatriz
Good food. Right on Church St .
All American Burger was delicious.
Fantastic dining in a gorgeous building, served by incredible individuals.
Delish
Great food and even better service (Alyssa). We traveled from Rhode Island and I can honestly say I've had the best margarita here. It was not too overwhelming and paired nice with my meal( mussels, smoked wings) Thank you!!! I would definitely recommend the Rum-Rita margarita.
Food is awesome. Better food for your money then most of the places around. Never found anything bad to say.
I always enjoy my food here. Reliable spot on Church Street. Their hamburgers and calamari are my favorite favorites. The outdoor seating area is perfect for days with nice weather. They make good cocktails as well. Usually eat here on my visits to downtown Burlington. Definitely recommend!
Had a good meal. Soup and fish and chips. Good beer selection.
Great place for food and drinks downtown.
As always, food was good, atmosphere good but not a wow experience.
A nice place with a hood beer selection Prices are quite reasonable. poutine was quite good. Sitting on the patio in the winter was great.
Great place to pop in and get a bite. The nachos are amazing. Great burgers too. Service is very friendly.
All of the food was very good, service was great. Nice location. Dog friendly. :)
Having gone after rush hour my friend and I thought we would served. Instead, we received no service, no respect and no acknowledgement we were even paying clients. After serval minutes of being ignored and treated as if we were scum, we left. Never in all my years have i been made to feel like I was worse than scum simply because of the hour. Happy birthday to me
Had an amazing lunch here! My first trip to Burlington and was walking by, saw the menu and had to stop in. Great service and great food. Had the pork belly tacos with kimchee and it was fantastic!! If I'm back in the Burlington area, I will definitely be going back.
Good service.
Great food and excellent beer selection.
Great place to eat/drink and people watch! The kitchen needs to get it together, been there 2 times and both times long waits for the food. Waitress was on point.
Nice food ... I love it
Best Nachos in Burlington. I get them every time I come home.
The French fries were wonderful. Crisp on the outside and tender in the middle. The fish was delicious. My only negative comment is that the fish was a little overcooked.
The view was nice and calming, service was nice, food was okay.
I have never seen a more efficient bartender. I wish I remembered his name. In addition to being great at his job, he was extremely knowledgeable about the local breweries, other restaurants and sites. He made a killer drink too!
Was here Valentines Day weekend, from the Boston, MA area. I got pulled pork nachos which I thought tasted good at time but had bouts of food poisoning that night and the next day. This was also my first ever food poisoning and it wrecked the rest of the weekend. Surely was a Valentines Day to remember and not a good one. Will not be returning if we ever go back.
Great food and atmosphere
If it's a pleasant day/night to have a meal. Go here! The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. Sat right on Church street where we could hear live bands playing as well as a calm, consistent white noise of chatter on the street which added to the ambience (No cars on the street helps). Our waitress Mia, knocked it out of the park. Wasn't too expensive either. Highly recommend.
Nice staff. Very accommodating to special diets. I'm celiac and they have a pretty substantial gluten free menu.
Good food at a decent price
Such a great experience. The staff was attentive, but not overbearing. The atmosphere outside was a real treat. And the food was amazing. I truly recommend the brisket. A must visit when in Burlington.
We sat outside and enjoyed the energy of the area. We split pork nachos and each had a salad. There was plenty of food and it was all delicious. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful.
Busy night food took a little while but arrived well cooked and delicious
Good beer and food. Nice vibe on church st.
I tried a salad with pears on it. Muy delicioso.
Place was good looking, food is ok. It took 35 minutes to receive our glasses of wine, they forgot my dressing for the salad and they finally made a mistake for the dessert: I asked for the crème brûlée, got a chocolate cake.. (it was good btw). Service was on point.
A good place. It was hot and we just wanted some drinks. The beer selection is very good. The appetizers we ordered came fast and tasted great. Nothing fancy, but that is not what we were going for. Service was excellent too.
Love the view from this place! A great place for a drink and appetizer with a special friend.
I really loved the cocktail. Highly recommended!
Fantastic restaurant with a history behind it. Typical bar & grill food, but it's all great. Make sure you try the root beer too, they make it there!
Great food and very accommodating of my sister who is celiac and also can't have dairy. They consulted with her and turned her sandwich into a tasty salad. Really good service! I got the barnyard chicken sandwich which was awesome!
Shirtsleeve is lit. Fries are lit. Coleslaw was lit. Great place to go for good food. Will always go back!
Great food and service!
You're paying for the atmosphere here which was nice with a live band, and outdoor seating in the summer, but the food was pretty unimpressive and the staff was ok.
Tourist food and tourist prices. The food is fine, there's nothing wrong with it per se, but you're going to be paying a 25%-35% premium on the same food that could be had off the promenade.
I like their french fries. Service is great
Friendly waitresses, awesome sidewalk seating, and excellent food. Highly recommended!!
My friend used to work here and they told me how the servers would pick food off of the customers plates and eat them right before serving them their food. They would also put dirty silverware into napkins and serve them to their customers. I would not recommend eating here unless you want food that has been already touched and very unsanitary.
Ugh. Underseasoned food blah
Great food and atmosphere
Fantastic food and peeps!
Great food. We sat outside on a beautiful night with our dog. Servers very accommodating to our dog, bringing ice water in a doggie bowl.
The service was slow and inattentive and after waiting an hour an ten minutes (no joke) for a burger ordered medium, this totally well done burger showed up.
Came here after the Christmas tree lighting on church street. The hostess said 30-40 minutes, but it was more like 20 minutes. So I would say to anticipate a shorter wait than what they say.. The portions were also huge!! Not many restaurants offer that amount of food. The burgers were great!
Great beer selection! Went for an appetizer before dinner and ordered the chicken nachos. Delicious and would have loved more!
Good service, nice beer and amazing food
Not too different from what you would find in most tourist locations. Fairly average menu, but has kid options.
Amazing restaurant. We frequented this particular restaurant an estimated three times. The staff was very nice. There are places to sit indoors, under a covered patio and at uncovered tables. Great selection if food and beverages.
Surprised by how good the bison burger was. Service was very meh, however
Amazing Food with Fresh Ingredients and Outstanding staff. We had a great time while enjoying the food
Fish was overcooked, but the pulled pork Mac and cheese was delish. It was a jazz night, really good music.
Nice restaurant and bar. The calamari is very good and the selection of draft beer is excellent.
Food is very good and desserts are fabulous!!
Excellent food, service and ambiance
Under whelmed, thier food used to be good, and the waitress skirts were embarssingly short , we were given a free show a couple of times.
Always a pleasure to spend some time in Sweetwaters.
Decent beer selection, good bar service, lacking service outside. Bit costly for the quality bit a few solid appetizers if you are looking for a snack. Don't expect a quick in and out of you sit outside but the seating is a nice church street view if you're not in a hurry.
Great food and drink options. Gets busy but the outdoor area is well worth the wait if you just want to relax on a fair weather day.
Decent food. Nice staff. Dirty silverware & food on the floor near table/wait station. Service not fast.
Great pulled pork nachos!
Double bacon burger special was awesome.
Great! GF options!
Never had a bad meal here and service is usually good. A very touristy spot
Food was not worth the long wait
Great spot .right on church st. The French onion soup is wo. see wonderful
Loved the chicken caesar salad, the bacon wrapped scallops, caprese sandwich. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent, and we will return
Food was delicious
I'm having a hard time reconciling all these positive reviews with our experience in this restaurant last Saturday evening. Our visit was anything but enjoyable. When we arrived we were told 20-30 minutes wait, I gave my name and watched the hostess type it in on her tablet. We headed to the bar for drinks. Over an hour later still no table, when I went to check with the hostess to see what was going on, she didn't have me on the list at all. They said was a "glitch" with their wi-fi. 10 minutes later they seated us in an patio type setting outside of the main restaurant. It had glass garage doors and despite big heaters hanging on the walls above the table, there was a cold draft coming from the garage doors. Essentially the heaters were roasting our foreheads while below the table our legs were freezing. My wife put her jacket back on because of the draft. I went back and asked the hostess if it was possible to get a table inside the restaurant because of the cold, the "manager" came outside and did a little pirouette and said she felt the temperature was the same in the restaurant as it was where we were seated. She actually caused a bit of a scene, the staff and nearby patrons all stopped to watch. She offered for us to come back in and wait for a table inside. Embarrassed and not wanting to wait more (we were starving, we had arrived at 7:00PM and it was now 8:30) we decided to just eat with our coats on. I ordered a bison burger and asked our server if we could update a side of fries to a side of poutine (which is normally an appetizer), and she said unfortunately they would have to charge for the full appetizer, I said no, that's fine and just ordered a side of gravy. When the food came she said that she managed to get it upgraded to a poutine. The food was OK (aside to chefs: please visit Quebec some time so you know what real poutine tastes like, sprinkling cheddar onto french fries is not really the same), and when the bill came our server apologized and said that her manager was insisting on charging us full price for the poutine appetizer. So I said I better talk to her because technically we didn't even order poutine... and over comes the same manager that made us feel like whiners earlier for asking to be moved inside earlier. When she spoke to us this time, she crouched down at our table, and actually acknowledged how cold it was underneath the table. She made no apologies for our overall experience of the night, we were the ones being unrealistic. She was condescending and rude, and our server actually apologized on her behalf after she left. End result was she only charged us half price for the appetizer we didn't order. She truly seemed to think I was upset about a $12 appetizer.
Love there food.
This is now a must whenever I'll be walking around Burlington. Great food with a fantastic staff to match. Well worth the waiting time for a table (even when it's up to an hour!)
Friday night, the weekend before Halloween, my first visit to Burlington and Sweetwaters was closed. Can't give it one star, because it was highly recommended by a friend and the hotel I stayed at. I can't rate it higher because Yelp, Trip Advisor and the hotel all showed they were open until 2:00a.m. I ended up eating pizza in a noisy bar.
Best brisket I've tried
Delicious!
We made a reservation online. We were immediately seated by a very pleasant hostess. Service was outstanding (thanks Lee-Ann and the others who helped you)! Food was outstanding! Ambiance was outstanding! This was our second time eating here and both were great experiences!
Food was bad pub food
Extremely disappointing. Very little on the menu for vegetarians. I ended up settling for a Caesar Salad - yes, I know it’s not really vegetarian - and the leaves looked as though they were cut up sometime in the previous week, already starting to turn purple at the cut ends and a bit wilted. Not much flavor. Would not return.
The service was excellent here. They didn't miss a beat getting us seated with a small child at an outside table. The beer list is very long with some great local choices. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly and had great recommendations. The portions were large.
Good food, fiendly staff and a great patio for people watching. Centrally located.
Great food and atmosphere
Took a second for food to get delivered, but hey, I was in a party of 7. Totally worth the wait, the food was Devine
Nice atmosphere, great service and good food!
Mediocre food. The calamari isn't bad and the drinks are decent. There's pretty much always availability though so it's not a bad place to go in a pinch. I think the older crowd really enjoys it
Prices are really good. Dinner salads are excellent. My son rates the burger with the local beef high.
The food was very good and flavorful (I had the Brick chicken, seen below), although it took quite a while to come out (25+ minutes). Not quite sure what happened, although it was moderately busy at the time. Lots of good local beers on tap as well. Like others have said, excellent place to people watch!
Excellent food!
Poor service and mediocre food!!
The food here is great. The french fries are some of the best I've ever had, the mac and cheese is wonderful, and the chicken tenders are to die for. The service is what can be hit or miss sometimes! I recommend visiting during their nonpeak hours. The two times I've gone during slow hours, the service was fantastic. I went, with a reservation, on a busy Saturday night, and our meal came out two minutes after our appetizer and it really just felt like they wanted us gone so they could flip the table. It is on the pricier side; the food is totally worth it, though. Just go at slow hour so you have the chance to fully enjoy the meal without feeling rushed or like a nuisance! I recommend the food, but for a late afternoon snack rather than a romantic date night, especially not on a weekend.
Good food but awful service ruined the whole night. I understand that the restaurant was busy but we made a reservation two weeks in advance. We arrive early and told to wait for a table only later to be sat at the worst location, right by the cold swinging door and the loud hostess booth where we can hear them speaking with incoming customers. The table we were sat at was not cleaned, rags on the floor, and no utensils or napkins. We ordered our food and then decided to take it to go. However our poutine arrived and we were asked to stay and eat our appetizer until our entrees were ready to go. Problem was our hot gravy covered poutine was served with no utensils or napskins so we just sat there. Hard to get our waitresses attention or the attention of the hostesses who were more interested at speaking with each other than assisting us. Our food finally arrived after more than an hour. The worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. This is not the service I expect at a restaurant like this.
I got the chicken Caesar salad, and it was good, but not great. It just lacked any kind of pizazz. Very basic. The chicken breast wasn't even sliced. If it hadn't been right on Church Street, I would have given it three stars.
Courtney was sweet, thanks for the great service :)
Great atmosphere with good service..good food, we started with the grilled scallops and bacon..4 stars because of the high prices for the portion size..only 3 small scallops for $11. Fish and chips were good and came with an amazing coleslaw. Also had the seared tuna with cucumber slaw and was cooked to perfection and very tasty..ended the meal with chocolate lava cake and mint chocolate chip ice cream, it was good but in my opinion the ice cream was a little to minty for me. Overall good restaurant and would recommend
Food great eat inside
I attend the Thanksgiving dinner every year, the food and service from the volunteers is outstanding. Thanks again looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Sweetwater's is always a great place to visit in the summer months when Church Street is bustling with activity. I bring my out of town guests here regularly and am never let down by the food or service.
We liked the food but the wait for the food was super long. It’s good for people watching.
Great food! Great service! Thank you!
Reservations strongly recommended!! Made a reservation for 730, got right in. Walk-in wait was 60-75 mins. But for the quality of the food, I’d wait that long too. Had the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese, AMAZINGGGG
Fun atmosphere, great service, reasonable prices and fantastic food!
Absolutely AMAZING
Great food, but a bit overpriced. One has the impression of paying for atmosphere rather than menu. But it's a great atmosphere. A good place to go when you need to impress someone without breaking the bank.
I went there to eat and the service sucked and the food was wayyy over priced.. rice was hard steak was super fatty .. for 34 bucks it tasted like a walmart steak .. would never go again
Cool place had to return my sandwich but they took care of it.
Great food local feel and right on Church Street
Great find!
We came in on a late evening on a Friday. The waiter was very nice, although not very attentive. We had to wait to get our food in order to get another drink order, it was another server who brought our food, then told us she couldn't get us drinks but would let our waiter know. Then we had to wait again for a while before he returned to the table so we could get another drink. We were drinking beer and mixed drinks as well, so as a server, the more attentive you are, the better the bill will be and the better the tip. The food was excellent, we were very impressed with the GF menu. Prices are fair for being on Church Street and the quality better then some of the other options along Church Street. I appreciate the variety of options with both beer and food.
Good burger and beer, and generally good service although a long wait initially.
Good prices, food and attentive service. Wonderful ambiance!
Food and service was wonderful. Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere and their burgers are phenomenal. Ask for Matt to be your server, he's very attentive, polite and on top of everything. Next time I'm in town, I'll be sure to visit again.
We were seated for dinner by hostess and sat for approximately 15 minutes. A waitress served two other tables nearby during this time but she never greeted us, meaning she totally ignored us. We didn't know who was taking care of the area we were in. We told the hostess that no one from restaurant stopped by our table and she immediately addressed this. Shortly thereafter, the waitress mentioned above finally stopped by our table and took our drink order. Waitress didn't mention anything to us about our wait before she took our drink order. Even after we placed our order, service from waitress was extremely slow. My rating is only for the cheeseburger I ordered for dinner.
Great brunch!
Had the Beef Brisket dinner. Probably the best beef brisket I have ever ate. I travel for a living and try different restaurants brisket. This hands down won. It's tender and great consistency. The sauce is amazing.
Enjoyed it very much. We had a great lunch. Very cozy, and tasty
The overall ambiance was very pleasing and the portobello Campanella was made very well. The apple crisp desert was good as well and my friends and I enjoyed our meals, would go back again.
We had a excellent meal and drinks !!
Sweetwaters is a nice restaurant at the intersection of Church Street and College Street along the Church Street Marketplace. The staff there are very nice and friendly and would strive to serve your food and beverages in a timely manner even if they're busy. The food and beverages are pretty decent and you wouldn't be disappointed.
We've been here 3 times now in as many days. Clearly they are doing something right. Food is great. Drink options are good. Wine list is more limited. But they readily fixed our drinks twice so they deserve kudos for that as well. Cheers!
Delicious food in a cosy atmosphere.
Sweetwaters has beautiful ambiance indoors and on the patio. In the good weather, you can also sit on Church St and people watch. Great beer list, wines and cocktails. Kid's menu is decent too. The food is mostly just ok but the salads are really wonderful, especially the salmon salad. Keep this one on the menu, guys! More chicken or fish entrees would be welcome as the menu is full of mostly heavy food like pulled pork and burgers. Only issue you may run into here is that the bar is very slow- it is really too small for the space- and drinks take longer than one would expect to arrive. Otherwise, a lovely place to relax and enjoy Burlington.
you really have to have a reservation here, otherwise you're going to wait a lot. We reserved a table for 8pm for 2ppl and got one as soon as we went in even though there was a line. Great food although there was some under-cooked oysters. The dessert was the bomb! We shared one because we were stuffed!
Delicious food, superb service by Cole on a very busy Friday evening.
I am adjusting my comment because I did not express the entire picture. We came in for dinner and were seated in the front atrium. We ordered drinks, they came half hour later. Our food arrived, no silverware, had to go inside to the hostess to get silverware. They handed it to me instead of bringing it over. My son wanted another drink, our waitress never came to check on us. Second time I had to go to hostess to ask for help. The hostess should have sent a manager over to check on us. WORST SERVICE EVER.
Wonderful outdoor sitting right on the street of downtown or nice indoor seating with a wonderful and tasty menu. Accommodated a party of 10 easily.
