Stopped in for breakfast with my bridal party. The ladies working were rude and upset they had to put tables together for us. My friend found hair in his food. Not a good experience. Wouldn’t recommend.

Service was friendly. The food is very good. Prices are very reasonable. Excellent over all. We had omelettes, and added extra bacon for .50 cents more, which was well worth it. Everything was very fresh.

Small, family oriented, no frills restaurant within a short drive from lodging at Lake Bomoseen or Castleton University. Homestyle cooking with a friendly staff. Prices are really reasonable and the food is always served promptly. Servings are plentiful and the specials are more than anticipated. The meals are all well prepared and tasty, varied menu to please even the pickiest eater. And not one meal is over $20. The breakfast menu is wonderful as well. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and will accommodate any request. Our go to place, love the chicken and biscuits and prime rib.We only wish they were open on Sundays!

Love this !! Food is delicious home cooking that you don't have to cook. Staff is always very friendly and efficient. Place is clean and tidy.

I haven't eaten here in about two years... and now I remember why. The food is awful!! The home fries were steamed poratoes that they throw on the griddle to "brown up"... the result? Scorched potatoes... any idea what that tastes like? Try burning a potatoes on your stove and they taste like they smell. The omelet was worthy of dogs, but not my dogs. Do yourself a favor and stop at the gas station for a slim jim... higher quality "meat" than the sausage served here and better taste than the food at sunrise. The one exception was the sourdough toast.
