Terrible food. And beer is disgusting on draft. Clean the taps. Put pride in your food. Microwave slice of bacon on top of a giant jalapeño. Really. Terrible service. 4 people in the place and the bartender forgot to send through our wing order. Much better places in Burlington worth driving the 10 minutes. Nothing is good on north ave.

Great local pub to grab a drink or bite to eat. It's a local's favorite for people in the NNE as there usually isn't much of a wait on a busy Friday/Saturday night, but there are plenty of people around to provide a good atmosphere. The last year+ has seen a great improvement in service and quality, especially now that Smitty himself is running the joint.

Fried pickles were terrible, and the chili had about a tablespoon of salt in a small cup. Given that it's close by I wanted to like it but you don't get much for your dollar.

Really enjoyed an evening here. Booked for 17 no problem on Saturday night. Food and service was good and nice and hot. Recommend the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Also a really nice porter to go with it.

My husband and I had our first date here, and we keep going back, but probably won't after our last visit. Not sure why, but my meal was served on a paper plate??? Granted, it was an order of sliders, but a paper plate?? I am at a restaurant, not a barbeque! The quality has gone down a bit over the last 4 years or so. Not great service on that night either, and only one or two other couples. Waitress was too busy discussing personal stuff with other patrons than getting our order.

I had a nice time here recently, was visiting from Canada with my mom. Great food and drink specials on local craft beers. Service was good too. People were friendly and easy to talk to and they even appreciated my Blue Jays tee shirt. If I’m back in Burlington, I’ll call in again.

It was my first visit, myself with 4 adults 2 kids. Our server was training, and the trainee was fantastic! However, the server gave us quite a bit of attitude about our request to split the check. Is that a Vermont thing, no split checks? We are from out of state. All 5 adults at our table have spent many years each as servers, so we were surprised and put off a bit. Great fish tacos though..

When I walked I was asked if I wanted to sit outside. I told them yes. My friend and I sat outside at a table with no menus and no greeting. We waited about 10 mins and left.

9/15/19 Just finished hiking the 2,670 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail (I kind of look like I could be homeless living in the woods for 5 months and all) and flew into Burlington from Vancouver, BC to hike the Long trial. I stopped here to watch a football game, eat some wings and have a beer. I'm HUNGRY, from living in the woods and all. The bar tender took one look at me and made up his mind about me. He essentially would not serve me. "Can I have a beer please?" Nothing... "Can I see a menu please?" A head nod and yet no menu. I finally recieved one after asking several times. I waited for 45 minutes to place an order. "Are you sure you want to order this, it is not on special?" Insinuating I could not afford it. Meanwhile he is serving everyone around me with great enthusiasm. I left. I know I look disheveled but this is not how you treat people and this is not a great way to represent a business. Shame on you for judging me.

Just moved down the street yesterday, went to grab good because our boxes are still in the truck. Wa load in, great live lusic,,, psyched, sign says seat yourself so all 5 of us did. Server comes out says you c ant sit here then says kitchen closes in 10 minutes, time was 9:35. Said we couldn't eat. We left and we are now eating at Sweetwater. I am a Certified Chef, the people with me include a catering company owner, 2 servers, a bartender and restaurant co owner. If my server ever said go away when the kit hen was still open shed be fired on the spot. I thought this was going to be my local hangout. Really dissapointed!

Just visiting Burlington and we stopped in here....we were going to go in for a beer and some food. I asked the waitress if they had hot tea. She said No but the bagel shop down a couple doors does. I then asked if I could bring the tea in with me if my husband was ordering beer and we were getting food. She said "Oh No...you can't do that" How silly is that!

This awesome bar + food spot has got a great "home town" feel. Local family owned, super friendly and amazing staff!!! Lots of great draught beer choices--I usually go with a local IPA. Atmosphere is comfortable and features local and regional sports pictures and memorabilia. Excellent spot if you're looking for a break from the craziness of downtown.

I don’t know what happened to this place. It had good service with good food. The last time I visited the service was terrible and the food and portions were very poor.

Fam just moved to into Burlington and wanted to get a small bite to eat and few cocktail to celebrate a new life in beautiful Burlington Vt. The date is 3/31/18 and we walked in and the server said she couldn’t serve because the kitchen closed in 10 minutes. We are all actually in the food industry and understand that it’s aggravating when people come in at th last minute. To tell patrons that they at closing in 10 instead of already closed is soo rude. That lady definitely has to learn some customer service skills. It was 9:35 and it just seemed off 9:45 to close a kitchen. If it was my restaurant I would definitely be upset that this ladies lack of commitment to her job just cost the owner over 200.00$ in sales. Zero stars WB
