Bustling place popular with locals as there aren’t too many nice dining options here in Montpelier. Some good main dishes, some so-so...so I suggest you come 2-3 times and find what YOU like. The Salmon Cucina with capers and a great sauce was my favorite!! Pizzas are generally great and crispy thin but if the cook of the day is fairly new it may come out burned a bit!! Great drinks and wine (and desserts if you are into sugar highs!!). Service is very prompt and generally not pushy to rotate your table!! Try getting a table on the covered back balcony winter or summer with a great view of our Winooski River!! Very busy at peak Vermont eating frenzy times (5 to 7 pm) so call to book a table so you get seated quickly!! After those times you can get a table easily! Overall a great dining experience and for watching natives in their element!!

Sarducci's is a lively restaurant with a professional menu and staff. I do love the pizza, but that's not what draws me. It's the rest of the classics-plus menu. Get the risotto! I love the way they do the salmon in the light white win caper sauce, which is just so good.

Food was great BUT I ordered the seafood alfredo and they gave me seafood penne instead which was still really good but it only had 2 shrimp and 2 scallops I felt it lacked a little seafood but tasted amazing.

First restaurant my wife and I have been to in the Stowe, Waterbury, Montpelier area in which we had good service. And the food was great. Marsala had tons of flavor, price isn't unrealistic either.

We decided to drive through Montpellier while returning from Quebec city. As we were hu hungry,started searching for restaurants and this one came out as a top choice. This b turned out be a correct choice as the Italian food here was authentic and very tasty. Antipasti was definitely ab highlight. Pasta was good and Tiramitsu was exceptional. Good food great service and good prices. Overall a great experience

Lovely italian place situated by the river. They have seating overlooking the river but it can only accommodate parties of 4 ppl, not more. We are vegetarians, they had good variety to choose from and happy to accommodate. Staff serving us was very pleasant and helpful to make choices. Must visit if you are in the area.

First I will say my dinner was good. But I found the rest of my experience lacking. I did not care for my cocktail. The bartender was concerned more for his tips than he was for his craft and the hostess that seated was unfriendly and rude. I don't think I would go back on my next visit to town.

The ambience is Italian rustic, the food is very good. Our table ordered chicken piccata and wood-fired pizza. My only complaint is do not plan on having a conversation that doesn't include yelling. The acoustix are terrible and its very very loud and noisy.

Honestly, the best Italian food in Vermont. A friend and I discussed this, and she believes it is the greatest Italian food in New England, and I see her point. There are still a couple of very nice Italian restaurants in Boston and Providence, but it's hard to beat Sarducci's.

Staff were lovely despite being busy 5/5 Went with the family recently and it was severely underwhelming. The wait wasn't too bad considering it was a Friday night dinner service but our food came out cold and under/ over done. We got a congealed and mushy risotto, and all pasta dishes were undercooked far beyond aldente (party of 6) I expected a lot more from one of the most popular restaurants in town, especially for the price point. Used to enjoy going some years ago but its definitely not what it once was.

My boyfriend and I were in Vermont on vacation. We were looking for a nice Italian place to eat. We asked the locals for advice and everyone said hands down to do to Sarduccis. The locals where definitely right, the food and the service was amazing. My boyfriend got salmon and he said it was cooked perfectly, it came with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus. I ordered the chicken with pasta, tomatoes and mushrooms in a white cream sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked and had a Smokey taste which added extra flavor to the dish.

Location, aviance, and food quality. This place had it all! The Mediterranean chicken was perfect in every way. And the tiramisu . . . My God. .. let me tell you about the tiramisu!! You can TELL it was homemade and fresh! I've never had tiramisu like that before. 10/10 would reccomend again! We will definitely be returning!!

I just went to Sarducci’s for the first time. I don’t think I would ever go back there again. The food was tasteless, shrimps and pasta were over cooked while scallops were undercooked. Alfredo sauce didn’t have any taste except overload with cheese. For the price I’ve paid for tasteless meal I could’ve cooked cheaper and tastier pasta at home.

Food was very good, however, very loud. At times I had trouble hearing the person across from me. Also they have a booth next to the giant wood burning oven. YOU DONT WANT TO SIT NEXT TO THAT in the summer. A different must go. The only reason for the 3 stars instead or 4 or 5 is the oven and how loud it gets. The food and service are 5 Stars.

It would be hard to argue that this is not one of the best restaurants in Vermont's state capital. Their Italian food is wonderful and the view of the river out their windows is truly beautiful. The ambience of this restaurant is 1st rate and the prices are very reasonable. A great place to visit on a date night.

Best food and service around. By far our favorite restaurant in central Vermont. Italian food done right with everything made from scratch like it should be. Full service bar with a variety of cocktails compliments the atmosphere by offering consitently delicious beverages. BEST RISOTTO EVER!!!

The hostess was very friendly and the ambiance was very cozy. Our waitress wasn't as friendly, we chalked it up to maybe a long shift (we were there close to closing). We ordered the bruschetta with all the extras, the taste was ok, didn't love the bread and the crust was slightly burnt. My husband ordered shrimp and scallops in cheese sauce, the sauce tasted great but the dish had exactly 2 shrimp and 2 scallops. For $15, a bit more seafood would have been nice and balanced out the rich sauce better. I got chicken parm and it was a little disappointing. The chicken was soft (I prefer a crispier batter) and the sauce had something too strong, didn't care for that. All in all we had a nice experience but I don't know that I'd recommend the restaurant based on our experience.

Excellent food, to start. I went on a summer evening, a Monday and without a reservation only had to wait 15 minutes for a table. The real selling point though was the seating area overlooking the river with the windows open. I'm sure those tables aren't always available so your mileage may vary but in this night it was perfect for a night out.

Sarducci's has a marvelous location and some of the very best cuisine in Montpelier. Often, we've seen such very notable people dining there! Senator Patrick Leahy is a regular visitor. And we love Sarducci's brick oven pizza! :-)

Fast, friendly service. Really good food and big portions. Our server was really sweet, although I don't remember her name. We sat down and the restaurant was packed but we got our food incredibly quickly. Not in the "they stuck this in a microwave" type way, we all got things that were fast cooking items and they were obviously cooked fresh, but usually that doesn't make a difference when a place is completely full. It was a very pleasant surprise as we had waited too long to go get dinner and were starving :) Next time I would order the pizza, the people across from us got one and it looked beautiful- perfectly thin and crispy with a nicely charred crust. You could also see the cooks (on the pizza side of the kitchen anyway) working nonstop and really hard, which was nice, so extra props to them for kicking it out like champs.

Lovely as always. Haven't had the smoked chicken dish in years (got hooked on the eggplant parm) and is as delicious as remembered. Shrimp and scallops also excellent. We both opted for the GF pasta, cooked perfectly. GF bread was pretty good, too. They are very accommodating of special requests. Altho locals we moved away 5 years ago but I make it a point to go to Sarducci's every time I'm "home".

My family had made a reservation 3 months in advance to have dinner at Sarducci's the weekend of the Norwich University commencement for 6 people. Three week prior to the reservation we called to modify and add one extra person to the reservation. We were placed on hold and then the line was completely dropped, called back again and the same thing happened again. When we arrived to Sarducci's the night of the reservation not only was the table for 6 not ready but after explaining that we had tried to add another person to the reservation we were told that the reservation would only be accommodating the original six and even if the call did get through we would have been told no. This interaction was with hostess and manager Krista Simon. I work in the service industry myself and have for the past 7 years and have never been treated so poorly by someone than Krista treated my family. After uncomfortably battling this woman to seat our one extra guest, we finally were seated for our party of 7. The dinner was lovely and so wasn't our waitress but the completely distrustful interaction we initial received from manger Krista Simon totally put a bad taste in our mouth and we will never be going back to Sarducci's. I called the Monday after this poor experience to provide feedback and spoke directly to Krista and all she had to say was "Thank you for the feedback, have a great day and hung up the phone". No apology or effort to fix the situation. I am disheartened entirely.

I find most Italian restaurants to be overrated and sometimes obscenely overpriced so I was skeptical about this place. The food here was actually good. The seafood in particular was fresh and the antipasto was, well, appetizing. For the amount of food we ordered, we paid just more than half of we'd usually pay at Italian restaurants. Service was friendly but not particularly speedy.
