Excellent pizza I loved it so much I may get another tonight. The bacon is wicked good and I am pretty sure it's from the Wallingford locker as their cobsmoke bacon is to die for. It was a welcomed change from the mass produced pizzas from the usual places.

Food is very good. Some of the best food I had in the area as food was very bland in the area. The inside of the restuarant does not reflect how the food tastes. Stop by if you are looking for good food in the area.

Coming from Long Island, New York where they make great pizza, i was told that I will not be able to find anything close....well I have to say Sal's is pretty darn close. Crust was nice and thin and crispy. Sauce was delicious and as my son said the "meatballs are to due for" will definitely be coming here again...

The food was so delicious from appetizer to entree, everything was great, the only thing that I found problematic was the flies also trying to dine with me. A contradiction of sorts but nonetheless, the food was extremely satisfying and delectable.

As a "real" Italian, Sal's is the only Italian restaurant in the area that makes genuine Italian specialities with that authentic, old world taste like Nana used to make !

Heard this place was good. Decided to go with 11 people. Turned out Terrible! We ordered wings extra crispy, came out still Frozen in the middle (my kids and the other kids better not get sick) ordered pitcher of soda, came out Flat, ordered Ceasar Salad, Never came, ordered a beer, Never came, waited an hour after ordering food to have anything come out and when it finally did, it was spaced like 5 to 10 mins apart. Pretty simple order, wings, pizza, kids spaghett, salad(no show). It took 45 minutes for a glass of wine to show up that was ordered when we first got there. Worst part, when we were leaving and we were walking to the car, all the kitchen cooks were sitting and standing outside the back door smoking and joking literally, while people are trying to have nice meal. The cooks shouldn't be allowed to have time to smoke and laugh and hang out in a group out back when people are in the restaurant. One at a time should be the policy. On top of all this, the place was out of several basic pizza toppings and blue cheese. It's a shame that the owner puts his waitress in this position, she did her best under the circumstances. The owner should be embarrassed to even attach your name to this business.

Talk about humanity going down the tubes. Now I understand that it wasn't the prettiest site but. A homeless man and his dog sat out front of Sals south in Wallingford not bothering any customers just trying to get a ride. And instead of the employees asking him to move on they called the Sheriff. What has the world come to that people just can't show a little kindness. Had to say it sorry. Hope that poor man and his dog Miller are ok. God bless you sir here's hoping things get better.

Sal's is great, hearty, delicious Italian food. Keep in mind that this is casual dining and straightforward (not fancy) food. We frequently do take-out from Sal's and the portions are huge which makes for plenty of leftovers. Love the Penne in Creamy Tomato Sauce with Chicken, and also the Chicken Parm and Eggplant Parm. As with all take-out, check your bag before you leave -- make sure they have not forgotten to pack up the bread with your order -- it is delicious!
