I’ve been here twice, fairly disappointed! The food is OK, serving is extremely slow, even with reservation, we had to wait for a while. Servers are very friendly, not so sure about the owner. Learn to be more organized and perhaps get more help in the kitchen.

Chris Honnon

Food is amazing, staff is terrific. 4 stars instead of 5 only because they are often understaffed thus a bit slow and almost always busy, just have to plan on extra time for a meal. Still worth it.

Christopher J

Authentic preparation, high quality veggies and average quality seafood. Fast kitchen, good service. Great flavor. Red Curry stir fry with Shrimp, mussels, scallops, little lite on the seafood, but simple fast healrhy lunch Nice family run restaurant.

One of the worst tasting Thai food I have ever had around the world. Most of the dishes (curry, stir fry, pad thai) are unusually SALTY, as if the entire box of Morton salt was dumped into the pot. The salt over powered the rich complexity of flavors that makes Thai food desirable. The service leaves much to desire as drink orders were forgotten and 2 of 10 meals were missed. I am lost for words on reading all the positive reviews.

Not impressed. I was the first one in on a week day evening. My presence seemed to annoy the matriarch. She seemed like one of those people that yells at employees a lot. Anyhow, after my grunted welcome I was seated up in the window. I had this wonderful feeling of a nice quiet dinner overlooking the square. Before I'd ordered another customer came in and was say down right next to me - in an entirely empty restaurant! There were probably 20 empty tables and the two of us were nestled together in this nook by the window. So close the chairs touched and the angle meant you had to work to not be essentially eating with them. When my food arrived my avocado maki had a large brown spots throughout. No love in that food. The other things were fine. Not bad food I guess, but I'd never go back.

Delicious food!

It's a good place but the food is really greasy, at least from what I had. There wasn't enough vegetables in it to balance out the meat and noodles. The Thai tea is much too sweet and would have tasted good had it not been. Otherwise the atmosphere is great.

I stop here for lunch if I'm in the area and I never regret it. I usually get an avocado roll and a tofu pad ki mao and I'm always impressed by how fast it arrives, steaming hot from the wok. The veggies are good quality and cooked perfectly, and the servers are attentive. I'd say it's my favorite Thai restaurant in Vermont (but I haven't tried them all yet).

Best Thai Restaurant in Vermont !!

Lyndon Dominique

Fabulous food and great service. Many thanks!

Great Thai place! They have a large menu, good wait staff, and the food is delicious. It's good for couples or groups up to about 8. Prices are reasonable as well.

Roy Minton

Great food. Service was excellent

John

Excellent food, the best Pad Thai I've had in Vermont. Little loud depending on the patrons when you are there but overall a friendly great experience!

Russ Reilly

Wonderful local Thai restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff and the food is delicious.

Chris Mazur

Came here for sushi and it was fantastic. The specialty rolls were huge! They should probably list on the menu how many pieces come in each roll for newcomers. i think each had at least 12 pieces, so we had a _lot_ of sushi

Nicole Rabiega

When it's good, it's great - my favorite Thai food in Vermont. I've had a few poor experiences but the good times far outweigh the bad.

Alex Smith

Non-sushi Asian restaurants (I know that's a big category) have such a hard time with decor, and this place is no exception. The environment is just strange, but, the food is mostly good. With a typical everything-under-the-sun Americanized southeastern Asian menu, there are bound to be some hits and misses, but it's typically pretty good. Much better than the other Asian options (Rice Middlebury). If you're in need of a egg roll and Pad Thai fix, this is your joint.

Had a chance to visit for lunch on a Sunday. Friendly service, the egg rolls and pad Thai are excellent. Medium spicy is just enough to feel the burn, but if you don't want it the mild would be perfect. Excellent price as well, 2 people with apps and dinner for less than $40. Well with a stop if you are in Middlebury!

Annie Voorhees

Good food. Consistent. Good place to meet a friend for lunch.

Lily Brown

The food was fantastic! Service is alittle spotty but they were very busy and apologized for the wait. I had chicken with mixed vegetables and oyster sauce.

Debbie Sturt

Good amount of options yet not an overwhelming number of choices. I ordered the cashew nut stir fry with chicken. Yummy. Fresh vegetables, thin slices of all white meat chicken (no chunks of fat or questionable meat) served with jasmine rice. Super friendly waitstaff.

Claire McEachern

Takeout was a good choice for my agenda. Service was prompt and food was very flavorful. The pork belly ramen and two lovers special had plenty of flavor and generous sized portions.

Michael Williams

The food was excellent! Ask for Jen, she is wonderful.

Josh Carter

Good authentic Thai in a casual atmosphere. The food was moderately priced and the portions medium sized.

Dana R

Horrible slow downright rude service, the waitress literally kept running off during the order and I had to yell my order across the restaurant. Worst sushi I’ve ever had, you can get better at Hannaford. Bland food. Not a place I’ll be back to.

Miguel Perez

Food was amazing, although it did take a while for it to come out

Shayla Culver

Overall a good experience, wait staff was polite and attentive. Food was good, there was just a slight flavor I wasn't a fan of.

danyrama

Decent food, good prices, nice service. I'll go back!

Mitchell Wulfman

Try the "fresh rolls"!

N Edwards

Having been to Thailand a number of times, I would have to disagree with the folks who didn't feel it was authentic enough. Fine Thai food and good at adjusting the amount of "heat" you may want.

Geoffrey Ginos

Great food at reasonable cost with excellent friendly staff!

jjglidden84

There is no possible way this Thai restaurant is a 5 star restaurant or even close unless you really just don’t know any better. Granted I’m writing off of my experience today, which was my first time and I won’t be back to see if it gets any better. In short the food was so so and the service was terrible. The waitress was rude and messed up all 3 orders On top of incredibly slow service. 2 stars is just me being nice, only way I would ever give 1 star is if I got food poising.

Elise Shanbacker

This place has really upped its game since last time I went. Went on a Monday night and it wasn't crowded which probably helped the service. We had really good salmon sushi and a spicy tuna hand roll, yummy potstickers, and decent pad kee mao/spicy eggplant. Better than you'd expect for a small town.

Rick Pollack

Delicious!

Lisa Spartana

Good at accommodating to the spice level of your choice, quick to bring food, very nice atmosphere.

Anja Wurm

Tom yum soup was so delectable!

Tracey McFerran

I had lunch here on a visit with my daughter. We we're both very pleased with the dishes we ordered. The sushi was fresh and the curry was primo, serving sizes were quite generous, especially considering we were there for lunch. The only downside, which is actually an upside, was trying to choose from the large menu!

Delicious food with plentiful portions. Attractive and large dining room.

MARK

Apparently they like reservations due to staff shortage, but web info did not say required. Gave us a table, but woman gave us a "frustrated face." Waitress was great. I believe they forgot our order as it took an hour for appetizers and we arrived about 10 min after they opened for dinner. Waitress apologized and took them off the bill. We never asked or complained. Just one of those things. Nice little place. Will definitely go back. Great food. Make a reservation if you want a table. It's a busy, popular place

John Fear

Extremely long wait for takeout Pad Thai that was mediocre at best. Was hoping for a good Asian alternative in Middlebury...this ISN'T it.

Ilkyu Ju

It was my first time trying Thai dish and I loved my pad see ew. The restaurant has a very good vibe and we even saw a couple in an inappropriate relationship. But don't order banana something salad because my friend ordered it and it was too bad that she couldn't finish it.

Ioannis Kipouros

Good food. Great service. Not the most traditional Tai food.

Doris Moyles

Amazing Pad-tai

Kyle Loveland

Great food

Chad Phelps

Always enjoy coming here for great food!

John Leonhardt

authentically satisfying....

gamiam99

They used to have good sushi. They took it off the menu July of 2014. Without the sushi, its just expensive mediocre Thai food. Sadly.

M Reeves

Excellent Thai food. Glad to see the return of sushi! Good local beer on tap. Nom nom!

Dean Pierce

My daughter--oh she of the sophisticated pallatte--loves this place. I enjoy it too. Can take a while to be seated, especially during busy times at Middlebury College. But worth the wait.

Robert Obee Tower

Good Thai restaurant, nice atmosphere. What a gem to find in Middlebury! Pad kee mao and Pad Thai were yummy but very light on heat. Mussuman curry was different than I have traditionally had but tasty. Egg rolls were greasy but tasty and plentiful. I will definitely be back any time I am in the area.

Relief Quinn

Great authentic Thai food and the best sushi in Vermont. Nice atmosphere, fast, attentive wait staff and reasonable prices.

This is my favorite place to eat in town. I love the peanut sauce on the pot stickers. The menu is easy to read and the prices are reasonable. Over all the service is good, but when making orders over the phone they tend to rush you. The owner is very nice. I always leave satisfied!

Judy New

Being from NY we have a great selection of Thai restaurants but Sabai Sabai put them all the shame. We had a catered event for my family with a selection of many of their menu items. Every single one of us loved it all. It could not have made our day any better. The owners are warm and kind and really know how to prepare their food. Thank you for making our day a little bit brighter. Judy LaBerge New

Nadia Wieda

i loved sabai-sabai. i go there all the time with my dad he loves it too. i am a kid and the servers are really nice to me and other kids too. you need to go there and you will have the best time.

Likity Spliff

Amazing sushi. And great food

Nick

Not bad, but portions were small and I was never asked for heat level which left my pad Thai lacking the flavor I like.

The best restaurant in Middlebury

Cameron Hay

Overall: Great tasting thai food in a simple (though effective) loud setting. Appearance: From the outside, the restaurant has a nice appeal. Inside, the high ceilings and tiling gives a quaint feeling. The layout of the restaurant and design of the building is appealing, though the lighting creates no ambience. Service: I highly recommend reservations. It is unlikely you will be seated within 15 minutes of walking in ever (even for a party of two) during dinner time any night of the week. They are definitely understaffed, but for the most part all of the employees were kind and observant. The manager though was a little rough around the edges. Taste: Awesome! I highly recommended any of their seafood dishes, along with their curries. The flavors are wonderful. You won't find "americanized" asian food here! Very authentic. The sushi was also very good. I debated on getting the fried ice cream to top off my meal, but the portion sizes were large so I did not have room. Price: The prices are fair, but still plan on spending $50+ for two entrees, waters, and an appetizer.

Kierstin Kemmerer

The food is so good! Can't go wrong with anything you order!

Luke Kikukawa

Good thai food, decent sushi

SCORPONOK

Good lunch spot

Service was good. The food came out fast and was great.

Smithi Skunnawat

inauthentic flat (instead of multivariate and layered) flavors. thai food is sweet sour salty and spicy all in one and this place really lacked

Vania A Nettleford

Very much impressed. I decided to come here based on the other reviews and a recommendation I received from a local Chef. The food here is very authentic and has great flavors and presentation. Every time I come into town this will definitely be a place to visit!

Ryan Buchanan

Wow. Just w0W. Much delish. All tea. Some food. Spice perfect. P I N E A P P L E

Seckin Dulger

It doesn't look clean but sushi was amazing!!!!

Will Frazier

Basil duck is pricy but the best thing on the menu!

tim king

Consistently excellent!

Audrey Hickton

Warning vegetarians! I ordered Pad Thai vegetarian and it was so fishy we had to ask. They said they consider fish sauce vegetarian. Couldn’t eat it. Curries were okay, and so were the spring rolls and egg rolls. Sabai salad was good.

Eduardo M. Rodriguez

Delicious and friendly staff.

Laura Laraway

Update your website! It says you’re open on Tuesdays, and your NOT!!!

Really good Thai food and pretty cheap too. Great atmoshpere.

DD Vasseur

The restaurant is really lovely. I did hear from the locals, that it was some of the best Sushi in the area. I'll try the Thai food on my next visit. I tried the sushi and it was delicious but I'm spoiled. Toro Sushi has spoiled me for life. It's in Cheshire CT.
