The service is kind enough. But with the amount of business it feels more so like a lower end restaurant. Not as classy as I hoped. From my experience this restaurant feels like an average Italian family restaurant. Nothing special. The prices however insinuate a certain polish which was very lacking. My waiter comped my salad after I stated it wasn’t to my liking, which was considerate. But I didn’t have the heart to state that not only did I not like the salad, I didn’t like every dish I received. Extremely disappointing as when I first walked in I was extremely excited to love everything.

Perfect atmosphere, the interior of the restaurant is styled superbly. A great selection of drinks, mainly wine and also beer. The food is unreal. You can taste the freshness and quality in the ingredients they use as well as the meats/cheeses they have and make. The shrimp and mussels we had in one of our dishes was arguably the freshest I've ever had this far inland from the coast. To top it off the pistachio gelato is a must. Honestly one of the best dining experiences I've had in Burlington and I've lived here sampling various restaurants downtown for the past 3 years. The waiting staff was super attentive and pleasant...granted I was grabbing an early dinner so it wasn't too crowded. All in all, I'd highly recommend this place for an intimate dining experience. You won't be disappointed.

Great gnocchi!! Made in house! I highly recommend this. Good service but we had to sit at the bar since we didn't have reservations. It was packed on a Saturday, even at 6p. Nice atmosphere. Prices are a tad bit high

Amazing food. Highly recommend this place if you want to mix it up from pub food around Church St (the pub food is good, but sometimes you need something different!) Make a reservation online and don't leave your table to chance. The space is not huge. The pastas and bruschetta we had were amazing. They bring you fresh bread with herbed butter. My only regret is we were too stuffed for dessert!

My go to restaurant on church street. I have ordered so many different meals from here and have never been disapointed. They ran a 40$ dinner for two special for a while which made for a perfect date night. The beer selection is fantastic as well carrying a lot of vermont craft beer.

Food was outrageous. The butternut squash appetizer was off the chain. Flat breads were out of this world!! The topper to this meal was drinking a Dominick the Donkey their rendition of a Moscow Mule. It was incredible and warmed the chilly night away. Great experience. I will be back!

We had dinner outside last Friday evening. The food was delicious....calamari was exceptional . We did feel the pasta entrees were very nice as well. The portions were a bit small for the price, however.

Love this place! We took the kids here after going here on a date night a few months ago. The chicken parmagiana is flavorful, even if the breading looks like Tyson chicken nuggets. However, everything tastes great and the ambiance is relaxing and intimate.

Quality is top notch and comes through in the delicate flavors of the food. Are there other italian places around town? Doesnt matter. This is where you want to be.

I was not disappointed by Pascolo! My friend and I did the weekday special of 2 for $40- two appetizers and two entrees for just forty dollars. I ordered the arugula salad and the funghi pizza. Both were molto delizioso! I also recommending trying the maple breakfast stout, one of my favorites. There are a lot of options to choose from while dining at Pascolo.

I very much enjoyed dinner here. It has a classy atmosphere that still has a casual and cozy vibe. It's not stuffy at all. The service was great. Very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. We had the antipasto sampler which was delicious, although I was disappointed that the caprese salad wasn't in season yet. Though, I do respect that they only use local, heirloom tomatoes and that was why. Their take on a Moscow mule (the Mafioso mule) with blood orange was a creative take on a classic. For our entrees we both chose the house made papardelle. One plate of the lamb ragu and one of the smoked mushrooms. Both were flavorful and had great attention to detail. The mushrooms were cooked through while still retaining a good texture. For dessert, cannoli and tiramisu with coffee. All of which were thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend all of it for an enjoyable special occasion dinner!

Food was delicious but the service was horrible! Waited over 40 min for dessert and check. They gave us our check before we got the dessert we ordered. Waiter didn’t have a clue and couldn’t multitask at all. We had no water for the entire time after our meal. Manager didn’t say anything to us, we finally stopped a different waitress and she apologized for everyone else. We are pretty mellow people from New England.. not high maintenance at all. The night Started off ok but by The end of the night we were ready to walk out because of the disappointing experience.

The food was great but the 5:05-6:55pm wait for my food wasn’t ok. The manager blew me off, gave me a hard time, and muttered expletives about us after as we walked out. Is go back again but make sure he wasn’t a amanger first. Forget my food, ok, admit it. Do not treat me like dirt and ruin my night.

The appetizers we had were good. We had the calamari and the muscles. The bread from the Red Hen Bakery is very delicious. Especially when dipped in the sauce the muscles were in. The flat bread pizza was decent, but there are better options around. Expected a bit higher quality and taste for the prices they charge. But I guess part of the price is being right on Church Street. The beer selection were mainly IPAs. If you're not a hop head and want a good non-IPA VT microbrew you may need to go somewhere else.

Staff was willing to give me a half size portion because I was afraid of getting too much food. I went back the next day and the waitress remembered our orders. We promised we wouldn’t go to the same place twice on our trip to Vermont but couldn’t stop dreaming of Pascolos!

Food was good and service initially was good. Ordered a pasta dish which was very good. After a bite I was hoping they had bread. Looking around I saw all other tables had a basket including those sat after us. Mistakes happen and I asked the hostess if we can have a basket. She said sure and went inside. After 10 + min she came out and informed us that they were out of it but fresh bread from the oven should be out in several minutes. After another 10 minutes I inquired again if it would be soon since our meal was half done. She said she would check. 10 to 15 min later we finished our meal and asked for the check. The hostess said she would tell our server. The hostess brought our check with a basket of bread and an attitude . I told her not to waste the basket and save it for someone else since we are finished. She said ok and tossed it on our table anyway. When she returned with the receipt she was very cold to us. To me a restaurant is judged how they respond when a problem arises. Nothing free should of been given , except for acknowledgment of the mishap and especially no attitude.

Would give 3 stars were it not for the atmosphere of the place. It used to be a restaurant called Three Tomatoes, which had a few locations throughout the state that sadly all closed down. Food is good, albeit slightly expensive. But, that's to be expected if you want good Italian. This establishment is located underneath Church Street and has a very intimate, almost cozy vibe to it while still feeling formal.

I must be missing something. The first time I went was a few years ago when it first opened. I wasn't impressed and never went back. Decided to give it another go last night for my 19 year wedding anniversary. Although the staff was great and the flavor of our dishes was wonderful - I won't be back. No quality control of the dishes going out. Our arugula salad was a plate full of wilting yellow arugula with that slimly black stuff greens get when they get really old. It was disgusting and I have no idea how no one noticed that. I was going to let it slide until my husband's $25 AGNELLO dish came out with black rotting mint leaves on top. I asked the server if that dish was one that went into the oven before it came out. I was told no. So basically someone decided it would look ok to put rotting mint leaves on top of this $25 dish and walk it out to our table. It was disgusting. The waitress was great - wasn't her fault. She didn't even deliver the dish to us. She was a pro at handling my complaint and I thank her for that. She took the salad off our bill. I was just so disgusted that someone in the kitchen let those two plates get served. I'm done. I got the eggplant rollatini and it was very good. The flavors were wonderful! I do think they should put on the menu though that it is breaded eggplant. Made the dish almost too heavy and made it seem like cheap frozen breaded eggplant. Maybe it wasn't, but it seemed like. I won't be back. Too expensive for what it is.
