REVIEWS OF Misery Loves Co. IN Vermont

Andrew Evans

Fun and creative eats and drinks. It is entertaining to sit at the bar and watch everything be prepared. The staff are always pleasant and appropriately engaging. Check the menu online; it is ever-changing but seems to stay up to date there, thankfully. I've been a few times and I have never been disappointed.

Kate Castonguay

Also delicious with great service. I appreciate Misery because they are always changing their menu so it's fresh. Both drinks and food are on point. I had a Winooski Sour which was what I'd expect from a sour but rarely get. Tuna tartare was also very good with their twist including capers and cheddar. Oyster special on The Happy Hours is excellent.

Abhishek Davuluri

Amazing eggs Benedict. Amazing service.

Trevor Luce

High end seasonal fare. Changing menu but very consistent quality

Thin Mint

My eggs Benedict was great, the mimosa was good, but I'll come back because of the awesome beardy server man! Outdoor seating was great for my dog to chill.

Jason Alström

Ridiculously over priced for what you get, tried to pass off inedible pieces of fried chicken back/spine as something "new & hip". $38 for Fried chicken and two sides (small). I'm all about using all the animal, nothing should go to waste but it was a lame attempt and I get that some people do see it as a part to cook and pick away at. Unfortunately the bits that are usually there were not there, coating was near impossible to eat off the backs unless you wanted a mouthful of bone / cartilage. A lot of the other small plates were tasty but great if it is just a table of 2-3 people. Beer selection was tight, perhaps the only thing that was not over-priced. I recommend this place if you have a very small appetite and like to spend more money than you should.

Bill Kreisher

Love this place. Understaded "elegance". Not quite the right word, but you'll know what I mean. Go there.

Clem Yazdani

Good use of local ingredients. Went during restaurant week, lots of food, everything was creative and delicious.

Samantha Holland

Great food and atmosphere! We had a late reservation and the staff was all very friendly and we never felt rushed, even being one of the last tables! Such a good place to share plates with friends.

Aaron G

Oh my word. This restaurant is the best in Burlington. We had a very special anniversary dinner here. I mentioned it was an anniversary when I made the reservation and the whole staff was keyed in that it was a special evening. The owner even stopped by our table to say happy anniversary and check in. I highly recommend eating here.

Teigen Pillsbury

These guys make some super creative and delicious food, only caveat is the portions are on the smaller side. Waitstaff is super friendly and helpful, and the drinks are excellent.

Lucia Volino

The best food in all of Chittenden County. Very diverse and creative menu and great service.

Aislinn Doyle

The fact that we didn't get seated for our 8pm reservation until 9:15 could have ruined our evening, but the bartender and server (and a free appetizer and free dessert) helped to make up for that. Food was good, atmosphere was nice, and music was excellent. Still, as a Winooski local it's not my first pick in town. I miss the food truck and bakery!

Ryan Mccue

One of the best restaurants in Vermont, with the highest commitment to local sourcing and living wages for its staff.

Jessica Bartolini

The wait staff was accommodating and friendly. The food and drinks were unique and delicious. You will not be disappointed!

Jane Swift

Reservations recommended. Really helpful wait staff. I had really lofty expectations which were mostly met. Fantastic wine list and waiters recommendations were delightful. The cheese plate and bread & butter as snacks were maybe the highlight of the meal. Small plates are definitely small so if you are hungry don't think of them as a full meal! The scallops had some complex tastes that were really good but it was a soup dish which wasn't what I expected and they were cold (I am sure intentionally) which isn't my thing. It was still really tasty but just not a hearty, satisfying main course. Real foodies would probably love it. The biggest disappointment was the fries. I love salt but they were over salted/seasoned even for me. The mousse for dessert was definitely redemption! Much heavier and rich than a traditional mousse - almost a flourless chocolate cake. Lastly, the ambience is very cool. We called and got a table last minute so we were in the middle of the restaurant but even still there is a romantic/hip vibe. I will definitely go back, armed with more knowledge!

Kristen Reid

The friendliest staff in town and some of the yummiest, creative food and cocktails in the area. Everyone rushes to Burlington to find incredible dining, but this gem in Winooski is out of this world good. As Southern transplants, I also have to say that we have found their fried chicken to be as good if not better than what we were used to in the South. Nom, nom, nom!

Donald Hefferon

Amazing food! Romantic atmosphere

Mark Poirier

Misery Loves Co. is one of my favorite restaurants to visit when in the Burlington/Winooski area. The small plates are innovative and fresh. The bar crafts unique cocktails and has a great beer / wine offering. Highly recommended!

Forrest Hedden

Winooski staple for brunch everytime I come from NYC to visit

Andrew Peet

Left hungry. Entre was good, but small and expensive. Didn't bite on the $6 bread and butter. Waitress was rude when we didn't order any starters or drinks. The place is a dime a dozen trendy chic where trust funds go to die. Best for one visit to say you went there if you're into going to lots of different eateries. Parking was tough to find.

Andrew Bronson

best place for brunch, or anytime your hungry never had a bad meal when going to this restaurant a must go if your in the area

gary daluisio

Stellar food, stellar staff; bartenders, host, waitstaff, chefs in open kitchen are all warm and wonderful!

Leah Chernovetz

Went here for the first time on a date yesterday. Prices were a little higher than our usual outing but staff was friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Our steak was perfectly cooked and I loved it. The seasoning on the fries was wonderful and the ricotta cake with lemon ice cream was to die for.

Craig Corliss Jr

Great food and great people I can't recommend MLC enough.

Mike Kelley

the fried chicken was baller

Steven Davis

Best restaurant in Vermont... possibly the entire Northeast region. Unique menu that offers new eclectic dishes each day. Casual atmosphere that has outdoor sidewalk-seating in the warmer months. The chefs in their kitchen obviously love the art of cooking. Playful experimentation with fresh herbs, sauces, and spices. If you love exciting recipes that are built upon a comfort food foundation, try this wonderful eatery.

Michael Bogin

Really cute place with very fresh choices but a limited menu Good cocktail selection ( they make whiskey doors the right way... With egg whites) Probably the best fried chicken I've ever had. Super friendly wait staff.

Jake Mostov

At this resturant you do not pay for quality or quantity, but instead for the experience. Every meal is a bouquet of flavors combining into an adventure that is either horrendous or wonderful to the literal sence of the word. Enjoy at your own risk

David Kennedy

Ate here twice. Dinner one night, and brunch the next day. Both times had a wonderful meal. Fabulously attentive staff, great drinks and food, this place is a keeper.

A W224

Whoa that's all I can say. The cocktails are well made, well thought out tasty concoctions. The happy hour menu is small but you'll find something. Oysters are delicious and fresh. "My Uncle Oswald" is a delicious drink. Looks fru-fru but don't let it's looks fool you.

Walter van Dusen

We had a wonderful experience with our meal for eight people celebrating my daughter’s graduation from UVM. The service was impeccable as was the food. We had the fish, fried chicken and vegetarian lasagna. The suggested wine was a perfect accompaniment to the fish. The in season asparagus and fresh baked bread were fabulous. We highly suggest dining here if you are in the area.

Deneé Jones

The service was phenomenal - educated and articulate and exceptionally friendly employees! And the food was beyond expectations. 10/10 would recommend!

Best In Class Moving & Storage

Great food with good service, very happy

Dash Porter

Get the fried chicken! You will not be disappointed.

Ken Crites

This is the best high-end restaurant in the area, yet it's actually cool and casual. Love this place. The menu changes frequently, the happy hour drinks are awesome and the staff is surprisingly friendly for such a hip place. I love bringing out of town guests here to show that VT has the same culinary hot spots as the big cities. Our Chicago friends love it. Bring back the bobby fries!

Andrew Lutzuk

Very nice brunch with some unique choices and interesting takes on classics. The vibe was definitely very hip, they had a DJ spinning, but it still retained a local favorite charm.

Drew Bennett

Great food, but too cramped.

Eben Proft

Atmosphere is really nice and relaxing food seems to be very fresh, high-quality And is absolutely ............well kind of amazing in freshness and quality. Anytime I am in northern Vermont I go out of my way to eat here and would not hesitate to drive from southern Vermont just for dinner. And wait staff are very professional and just real genuine people. THANK YOU MISERY FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO AND HOW YOU DO IT !!!

Evan Teich

Fresh food, very tasty, great service and rock n roll who can ask for more.

Chase M

3.5 Stars. Their food and drinks are great. However, 90% of the time I've gone there, the music has been too loud. Many of their menu items are over priced for the amount of food you get. e.g. ~$35 for aged beef ended up being a plate of two small pieces of the main ingredient (2-3 bites each?). I left hungry after spending $120 on what ended up being a 4 course meal.

Mark Sanchioni

Food is very well prepared, quality ingredients, and nicely priced. Service is quick, but still pleasant.

shaun connelly

just so good. we dropped in for a light bite in downtown Winooski. was not prepared to have such innovative and thoughtful attention to the three little sharing plates we ordered. the gazpacho was on point. the smoked swordfish was a welcome note to this standard summer soup. the roasted eggplant was perfect. the skin was blackened and carmalized. never have I enjoyed this veggie more. the star for me was the casserole of veggies and cheese. lots of flowers and berries lent the presentation a whimsical beauty. however, everything on the plate seemed to serve a good purpose. nothing was superfluous. staff were inviting, helpful, and gracious. atmosphere was chill but not dead 5pm Tuesday. good place to be happy or miserable.

Matt Mulligan

Fantastic food. Friendly staff. Chef owned. Go!

Grenie

One of the best brunches and beignets I've ever had. And their own Irish cream served chilled… OMG it was just like coffee ice cream! YUM!!!

Patrick Harvey

A must eat spot in the greater Burlington area. They have a rotating menu, typically french inspired dishes...all delicious!

Keith Longmore

Found them online and ordered a sandwich Stopped in to pickup takeout ordered by phone, only to find out it was a dinner priced meal: 4 pieces of chicken, overly cooked veggies and a salad with no dressing. $38. bucks.

Monica Schiksnis

Awesome food and great service!

Max Ernst

The food is incredibly unique and often phenomenal. However, some nights the meat will be too salty. My main issue is that the price per portion is the most expensive in town by far. If they charged a fair price, they'd be great.

Laurie bouyea-dumont

Amazing food, drinks and service.

nathan trombley

Delicious food, quick service, and outside seating. Great place for brunch and mimosas.

Lubos Simon

Very tasty meal. I have tried steak with scallions. Really delicious. Expensive and small area inside.

Annette Seidenglanz

Choose from inventive and tasty small plates and full entrees, nice wines, great on tap selection. Cozy, local vibe. Noisy but nice.

Sean

Really great brunch and other menu items. One thing I would say is consistency wasn't very solid. I went back for the brunch because it was so good, the next week we went and service was spotty (they always seemed annoyed) and the Benedict had a scallop that tasted like it had turned that I had to spit out in my napkin. Not sure if it was a fluke but none the less had to affect the rating! Putting seafood broth in a Benedict that has once nicely toasted English muffins and making a soggy mess is a fail. I'll try again one more time and update!

amanda farrell

Great food and atmosphere. Great brunch menu. I love the Bloody Marys. The cheddar biegnets are amazing. I always get the croque madam. Amaging as always. I love when they have Craig Mitchell spinning for disco brunch he always brings down the house. I tried a side of the tater tots they were incredible. Love this place! Never disappoints.

Adam Stoddard

Creative and tasty , worth a stop if passing through the Burlington Vt area.

Martha Jensen

I love the drinks here.

Benefsha Mohammad

Their coffee had a really weird after taste. Their entrees are small and expensive. The taste is just OK. My dish was supposed to have smoked salmon on tater tots but it was just practically cooked salmon on potato patties. Def not coming back here, again.

Jesse Gaboriau

We got the oysters and pate during happy hour. Both were excellent. hen of the wood offers better condiments but misery does a better job preparing their oysters. The pate is delicious and we will absolutely order it again. Despite being disappointed by their barreled beer we enjoyed their cocktails and their regular craft and draft selection were good.

Jason Powell

Fried chicken is very good. Try the rough Francis fried chicken sandwich! Brunch or happy hour. Oysters for a dollar after work too. Great staff, great food, definitely give it a try for one of the better meals available around Burlington

Scott Stillman

Nice eclectic menu. Loved the house pickled items. Entrees were very good. Pork a bit under seasoned but nicely done.

Gail

I would have given them 5 stars but their expensive home fries were like a greasy sponge.

Ellen Wiegman

Fantastic brunch spot.

rj r

Good brunch on weekend, always friendly professional service.

Julia McDaniel, DC

Food was pretty good, but service was terrible.

misssophiamae

Really lovely staff, nice setting and vibe. We had a salad, tater tots (these were some next level potatoes), steak tartare, a waffle and everything came out wonderful, fresh and delicious!

Bryan Clay

Loved the fried chicken!!! We also thought we had great service and highly recommend it.

Tim Hennessey

Go there for supper, prices are a bit high but the food is well worth it.

Barbara Shatara

Our food was excellent. Innovative and perfectly prepared. Portions are small. Prices high and the menu makes it hard to order enough food without spending a lot. Cocktails were interesting but none at our table would have ordered them again. Excellent wine and beer list however. I came away from the meal feeling less satisfied than I expected. The ordering experience ended up seeming like I was being gouged. I've had excellent and expensive meals at other Burlington/Winooski restaurants where the experience was much more enjoyable. Note, MLC is not airconditioned. It can get rather warm and uncomfortable even with fans.

Jesse Ruiz

Sick atmosphere, love the open air tapas feel. Food was excellent. Will be returning.

Philip Famiano

Great Cocktails

Brian Story

Excellent modern food. Their drinks are also inventive and really great.

Piero Bonamico

First trip back home to Burlington with my new girlfriend. There's opportunity to have one meal (lunch). Where do we go? Misery Loves Company. It did not dissappoint! The menu is creative, well executed and supported bby excellent cocktails and desserts. One of Vermont's finest restaurants!

Michael Webber

Great brunch, didn't expect shrimp and grits this good this far north. Excellent coffee.

Chris Frothingham

great location, great vibe. food was ok. forgot to bring our drinks, but still had them on the bill. they took them off the bill withnout issue and apologized.

Susan Connery

Great local nice atmosphere attentive staff Good food

Danica Kennedy

The drinks! The drinks! Oh my lord the drinks are amazing. Hand crafted by god, I’m sure of it. We would spend all of our days here, had we not responsibilities. Thank you all.

Joey Palumbo

Great place to go for special occasions. Expensive but well worth the price. Service is quick and spot on, the ambience isn't pretentious (thank God), and the food and cocktails are incredible. Go! Get here!

Kasia Thomas

we sat at bar facing the kitchen and enjoyed a delicious dinner. the food was seasonal, fresh, and exciting. we were very happy with everything we ordered, especially the fiddleheads and the kale raab. our only qualm with this restaurant was the inconsistent service. in addition to the exorbitantly long wait for our table (even with a reservation!), the wait staff and hosts lingered at guests’ tables, chatting away with what must have been regulars, while we waited upwards of 20 minutes for our order to be taken. all the staff was very nice and friendly, but we felt as though we were not as important as other guests.

Don Jones

Absolutely loved this place. Very accommodating to every dietary need. They love to customize their creations to meet your needs; the chefs love the creative challenge. My wife's has sensitivities to gluten, dairy and fat and they created exactly what she needed and she loved it!

Charles Cyr

Moderately pricey but excellent food. A good value.

LauraLee Graffman

Some of the most creative and interesting dishes in the Burlington area, with a great wine list. Can share lots of small plates or enjoy full sized entrees. If you enjoy mixed drinks they have a very extensive and interesting cocktail list.

jonathan abodeely

Inredible food. Great service. Absolutely one of the best eating establishments in Burlington area. Bravo.

Michael Carty

Cheddar Beignets were amazing!

James Irvine

How do I review this? HORRIBLE wait time on the food(over an hour), very limited menu that's too expensive for what you get, wait time on the bill was close to 30 minutes. This was not a great experience and I will never return. The waitress was friendly...they also gave us fries on the house for the wait(meh).

Derek Rycewicz

Best fried chicken in Burlington, hands down. Good service, friendly staff, rest of the menu is excellent. We basically come here as much as possible.

Lumenaria 1821

Food was good, although very pricy. Service was a bit lackluster.

david slominski

Amazing people. Amazing food!

Donald Tinney

One of the best places in Vermont for brunch. Have the tater tots. Seafood Benedict was superb. Disco music was delightful.

Alex Protell

Great local aesthetic, mixed with a vibrant commitment for farm to table dining experiences.

Fiona Griffin

The food is always innovative and delicious. The restaurant is super laid back but also proefssional. There servers are excited about the menu and very knowledgeable. The cocktails are interesting and approachable.

Michael Robinette

I really wanted to like this place. We went on a Friday night at 8:30 - just after the rush. The appetizer and first round of drinks were a little slow to come out, but the conversation was good so I didn't think much of it, and all was worth the wait, but then it took another 45 minutes to get another round of drinks and the main course out. "Handmade pasta" was super al dente. Also it was quite dry. My wife's steak was not rare but rather barely cooked. 130 dollars later I was sad. There is much better food to be had in Burlington.

Alisson Richards

Food is ALWAYS spot on. Eclectic, local, fresh and delicious. The oyster saam is one of my favorites and cocktails are unique and have an old timer feel to them. We love the atmosphere and we always make a reservation ! Cocktail is My Uncle Oswald!

Duncan Goel

Stopped in early on a Sunday afternoon at the end of a weekend stay in Burlington. Seating was prompt, and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy. Started with the cheddar beignets, fluffy and delicious. The honey glaze really makes it. Out entrees were the croque madame and The Vonnegut, a pork belly sandwich, with a side of eggs and a side of tater tots (highly recommend). Phenomenal timing, fantastic food. The wait staff was attentive and extremely pleasant. I would live to come back the next time we're in town!

Corey Birtles

What a great treasure this place is. The staff as super friendly and the chef does an amazing job with fresh flavors and impeccable presentation. Love!

Jonny Finity

Phenomenal attention to detail. Always a go-to for a world class meal with a fun, relaxed vibe.

Dayna Ford

My wife and I were there recently on our trip to Burlington, this was our favorite spot. Everyone was super nice and very attentive. You cannot go wrong with food or coctails! Our favorite was the fried oysters with kimchi! To die for. We will be back on our next visit definitely.

Sam Crawford

Went in with my two kids because word of a great fried chicken is like an irresistible magnet to me. As a random tangent to the review, I take my kids to lots of places on the road and I'm always curious how a place will handle me walking in with my kids, and I have to say, though one lady seemed to glare at me continuously (could have been wrong though) the staff was excellent about that situation. It's small and cozy, more grown up and romantic than a good spot for kids; however the kids are used to that situation and handled it fine, as did the staff, in particular our server, which was truly appreciated. There are high chairs and crayons magically appeared so they are clearly prepared for the situation. That being said, by virtue of it being small and cozy, I wouldn't take a young'n having a bad night in there as it would be uncomfortable for everyone. Restaurant wise, this is an absolute must try. The fried chicken didn't disappoint, it is an absolutely solid traditional fried chicken. If you love fried chicken, well, there's is reason enough to visit. All the remaining food was delicious, in particular the hangar steak which was declared by the table as 'amazing.' My guess is you really couldn't go wrong here. We had to bail quickly, nothing to do with the restaurant, but what a wonderful place. If you enjoy a restaurant experience and food done right, this is a must try.

Michael Meehan

Love this place

Steve Welgoss

Friendly, attentive service for our brunch trip here. Nothing bad, but nothing special either. Wouldn't be opposed to coming back, but would prefer to try new places first.

Josh Neilson

Almost awesome. Salty. Served with attitude...

Jennifer Tran

Super friendly and helpful staff. Good food, good vibes

Martha Richards

We ordered the Trout soup on a cold October day as our meal. The cost was $12 per bowl. We thought it pricey for s bowl of soup but figured a bowl of soup would satisfy us. What we received was approximately 6 oz of soup. We asked if that came with crackers and bread but were told it did not. The soup had a good flavor but not the best I’ve ever had especially for the price. They should include the bread. We left very disappointed . Our bill was $26 . Will not return again. We left still wanting the bowl of soup we were craving for.

Anja Jones

Adorable little space right off of the Winooski river. Had the steak tartare with chips - delicious and the perfect portion size. Service was great! Would definitely come here again!

Curtis Lezama

Absolutely the BEST food we've had in a very long time. Misery is a definite MUST place to visit. The food was excellent and so delicious. We sat overlooking the chefs preparing the dishes and it was a truly unique experience. The menu changes everyday as all meals ingredients are from local farmers (farm to table) and everything we tried was very flavorful and so mouth watering. The staff were really wonderful and engaging and ensured we were comfortable. It was a true culinary experience.

Daniel Bonola

The food and drinks were fantastic, however the wait between the time we were seated to the time we were served was over an hour. I understand the kitchen staff may have been busy, but maybe it's time to hire more folks? 5 stars for quality, and attentiveness, but 1 star lost for food prep time.

eli jager

Far and away my favorite restaurant in the city. Their menu changes frequently, and always in ways that are surprising and delightful. Their cocktails are on point, The atmosphere is good, The staff and service are legendary. Just go, Go!

Starr St James

The food here is always simply amazing and the service is the same. In the running for my favorite restaurant. The steak tartare makes me very, very happy. But I haven't eaten anything here that didn't. If you want a classy and romantic date, go here. It's magic. Get the oysters. Always get the oysters. I had the perfect First Date here almost a year ago and while the company of course had a lot to do with that, the beautiful food and attentive but low-key service was a huge part of it. And the dessert they threw in on the house for us was a particularly nice touch

Andrew LeValley

Misery ❤️'s Co has a unique menu which is delicious. Their cocktails are excellent, and they have a decent beer selection. The staff is always friendly, and the vibe is casual and stylish.

Douglas Yriart

Eclectic atmosphere. Awesome shrimp and grits. Good service.

Gary An

Went for brunch, ordered too much food. The cheddar beignets were fantastic, more like deep-fried popovers. The shrimp and grits was very filling, but very good, smoked and salty with grits almost like corn pudding.

Margi Swett

Limited menu and fairly pricey but great staff and food well made

Eric Jarrell

Go there full because if you don't you'll leave hungry and will have spent $50 for a drink and entré. Over priced for the portion of food is certain. Also wait time isn't the best. Once we asked for checks it took about 10 minutes for them to be brought to us. It's definitely a one and done place to go to to say you've been there.

Bumblebee Butts

Pay $30, receive two tiny bite-sized burgers. What the hell lol?

Peter Jacobsen

We had a lovely, cohesive, thoughtful meal tonight, as we do each time we go. These great people care about good food. What a special treat.

Athena Kush

The restaurant is gorgeous and the employees are wonderful. Avoid visiting in the summertime, the dining room is stifling hot, the air conditioning is just for show. My partner and I ordered the fried chicken for two and the Korean Ssam, our appetizer was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten but our main course was overdone and quite bland, difficult to get through. I know they're capable of better but especially for what we paid all in all 3 stars is generous.

Jeremy Psaute

Their menu is always eclectic and delicious. Their waitstaff is nice and mindful. I think of this place as a food adventure rather than just dinner. Quality over quantity is what you should expect with commensurate pricing.

Travis Nagle

Good atmosphere, nice Waiter, but the dinner menu is pricey. If you go be prepared, skip the cocktails, it will help lessen the financial blow

Kevin Peirson

The eggs Benedict may be one of the single best breakfasts of my life. Everything was cooked perfectly and the balance of flavors was just right. I could tell a lot of care went into the creation of that dish. I also got to try the shrimp and grits and it was equally well done. If I lived in Burlington I would probably go here for brunch every weekend!

Adam DeMasi

Misery loves company is consistently one of the best restaurants in the Burlington area, the black spaghetti haunts my dreams, their Bloody Mary's are perfect, the staff is kind and attentive, the food hits the balance of filling delicious and elevated. It's spendy but totally worth it!

Pedro Gregio

Best restaurant in town, very friendly staff and amazing food

Ryan Donaldson

Misery loves company is a great place to eat that many locals hold in high esteem. I have been several times over the past few years and it never disappoints. Their pastas are great and the cassoulet I had was second to none. The cranberry curd on the pavlova dessert was very nice as well. Small but cozy, shareable plates.

Jason G

Fantastic

Thatcher Friant

Always great food and interesting cocktails. The happy-hour with dollar oysters and other apps is awesome. Great place to sit outside.

David Tepper

Nice people. Good food. A bit overpriced, but you get what you pay for.

N Patrick Pierce

Only drank at the bar. They have some creative cocktails they made up using obscure Italian liquors. Also, the bar staff is chill and attentive.

Michael Dumont II

Just an amazing place! The staff is eager to please. The food as well as their cocktails are made with ingredients local and often organic. Upon closer examination you'll notice the care everyone places in to the food and the facilities. I often note it as a laid-back Hen of the Wood for comparison. The Bloody Mary is a must for brunch!

stefan otto

Wonderful food, service, and location on the Winooski circle. Must visit!

Adanna Chinyere Onuh

Amazing and friendly staff who can give great recommendation for food or drink based on your preferences. Small venue, reservations are strongly recommended but walk-ins are welcome. Stopped here for dinner one night on the drive up to Montreal. I believe the menu rotates on a weekly basis. I will visit here again on future visits to the Burlington area!

Katherine Kibler

Great place to sit outside! Very delicious steak tartare

Jim Woodard

We had a great Sunday brunch with oysters, bloody mary, orange juice, great coffee, bengets and chicken with waffles. Served by an attentive and personable staff, delicious creative food, and great company. We will be back as this is a must place to visit.

Heart Of the Village Inn

What a delightful place! Our experience at Misery was fantastic - a cozy setting, wonderful folks all around, and a fascinating variety of eclectic gourmet dishes. Everything we tried was perfect, truly a journey of the palate. Their Steak Tartare, Pheasant, and Pavlova are outstanding. Highly recommended!

Bob Leidy

The atmosphere, food, and especially the servers are the best in the region! When we take risks and have something new, we are always suprised in a great way.

Beau Cameron

As they say, All good things must come to an end. What once was my favorite place to eat for lunch and dinner has slowly begun to disappoint me. I've supported Misery through it's evolution, having spent into the thousands $$ at this establishment, I've dealt with it changing it's "find a chair" style, to a sit down restaurant. Recently discovering they no longer serve lunch... I was ever more disappointed. Where can I get my big reds? So I decided to go to dinner to get the once phenomenal Fried Chicken. Had a decent dinner, the chicken was dry and over salted. The potato salad was the best I ever had. If memory serves me (and sometimes it does not), you used to get two sides with the meal (albeit it was $3 more in the past to get the two sides). Now, you do not receive any sides. Having been a loyal customer at Misery since it's inception, it saddens me to say that it's pretentiousness has gotten the best of it. No longer will be I be visiting Misery.

Brian Coe

My favorite restaurant ever and I’ve been all over!

Clover LI

Never disappointed!

Glen Miller

Fantastic brunch! Great prices and a very friendly staff.

stephanie busch

A few friends and I met at Misery Loves Co. in the Winooski traffic circle for brunch one Saturday. The restaurant opens at 10am on Saturday. They have a decent drink menu including group mimosa, bloody Mary's, and Irish coffee designed to share. They have a select, but delicious menu for brunch. We had a herbed crustless quiche, and fried chicken and waffles. The waffles were light, and fluffy; the chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. MLC is a good place to meet friends and get brunch.
