We offer you the opinions of people who consumed the services of Kham\'s Thai Cuisine (Restaurant) in the state of Vermont.
At the moment the business gets a score of 4.4 out of 5 and this rating is based on 183 reviews.
As you can see its rating is high, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the valuation is very credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to give opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Thai restaurant.
I would recommend this place to anyone who either has never been to a Thai restaurant, or anyone who loves Asian cuisine. The staff is very polite as well as efficient, from my first experience there after you order their isn't much time that goes by before you get this beautiful plate. I was impressed by this restaurant as it is a high class looking place at moderate prices. A lovely place for a first or second date, as well as a nice quaint place to meet with an old friend.
Very good overall. It is a nice cozy place with a pleasant atmosphere and the service was exceptional. I ordered the spicy seafood combo , but had to have them do it without squid as I am highly allergic to it. It came on a shallow plate and cutlery was a fork and spoon but no knife for some reason. I was offered chopsticks which was nice. It also came with a small cup of steamed rice. Considering the dish alone is 17.95, I expected more food for the money. The food was good but I was still snacky for something more substantial. Truth be told I was offered dessert, but I was looking to fill my belly not satisfy my sweet tooth. If I am ever in the area, I will be looking to come back and try their curry and a few other items.
Nice menu. Wide variety of options
To be honest, I have been in many Thai restaurants and never had the real Thai food. Just by tasting them I can tell that those who cooked the food are not Thai. But Kham has the real people who actually know how to cook the real Thai foods. I think this is my favorite Thai restaurant that I have ever been. I don't even want to throw away my last chunk. I love Kham. If you wanna know what is actually Thai food taste like, go to Kham. You will not regret if you like Thai foods.
Delicious food! Good prices. Great for a date.
Pleasantly surprised by this joint tucked in scenic mountains. Nice balance of spice, heat and tangy Thai flavors. We had Spicy Fried rice and Tofu Red curry. Both of the dishes tasted fresh and the curry sauce is definitely made from scratch. Worth a stop over!
Lovely, fresh food, terrific flavoring. Really special!
I like the food, but the vibe is a little off.
This is one of the best restaurants in the area. They have a excellent lunch special.
Great place for mid afternoon.
Awesome food large portion
One of my favorite restaurant ever!
Great food, good service!
Consistently awesome food. Friendly and helpful staff.
I liked this place. Honestly though, I've liked every Thai restaurant I've eaten at and they've all had basically the same menu. The pineapple in the panang curry was a nice touch and the protein options were bit more diverse than other similar places I've visited. In addition to the standard chicken, beef, shrimp and tofu you expect, they also served squid, scallops, and fish in their dishes.
Very disappointed in the food we ordered. Firts off I ordered thai noodle soup, recieved won ton. Broth was beef bullion flavor to an almost exact match. Drunkin noodle with beef was a giant let down. Vegetables were skimpy and not of the freshness previous post had stated. Want a really good thai food experience, travel to newport and try Dusit Thai. Food you won't forget! Sorry but could not have been more disappointed.
Excellent food and service.
The food was great. There appeared to be only one waitress so the service to check out was a bit slow.
Best food in st Johnsbury hands down.
One star only because we waited for our food for MORE THAN AN HOUR.
Fantastic Thai, in the least expected location. The entire menu is delicious and very affordable.
Bestist and only-est Thai food in the NEK
I ordered sweet and sour pork with white rice. My wife had the shrimp egg rolls (I don't think they were actually called that but it was like a non fried shrimp egg roll) and a beef noodle soup. My wife said the shrimp rolls were OK but lacked the extra Ingredients that had nade them really good in the past like mint and some other herbs (I can't remember exactly what she said but they weren't as good as they use to be). My sweet & sour pork dish was OK..a little too sweet but OK..the big negative was the bathroom. It's a mess...
We had a great meal... garlic shrimp and general thai chicken. Food came out promptly, hot and delicious. Service what very efficient and sweet. Would definitely be going back.
Good food, atmosphere and service.
Awesome food, never disappoints. When I go out for business the reps always ask to go. The only thing that they could be better at is having diet soda and bottled water. Being diabetic and allergic to the stuff put in town water their are many times they don't have something I can drink.
Food is pretty good, portions could be larger.
Excellent food and atention, it is comfortable to share with the family and friends. I recomnend you
Dined in. Picked out the chicken pad thai, and my girlfriend picked up the drunken noodle with crab rangoons as the appetizer. The food was great, but the service was poor. The young lady didn't seem to care too much about quality service, and barely said 2 words to us after we received our meals. Just very cold. But again, the food was stellar.
Red curry. Get.. the .. red.. curry. I wish I knew this when I went the first few times. It wasn’t until I went there for lunch, and heard every single person around me order the red curry, that I finally knew what was up. It’s the best, and kinda addictive. And if you order the lunch special, you get to pick your main dish and get a couple egg rolls and crab Rangoon. Also comes with a small soup. That and a Thai iced tea and you are all set. No need to go back to work, your life is complete.
Between the three of us we had the red curry, the green curry, and the yellow curry. We were like a traffic light, LOL! Of course we all three sampled each others, all three were very good. My favorite was the red curry, just a little bit of heat. The yellow was a little more sweet. Had some coconut ice cream for dessert, very tasty also.
THe food was great. ordered take out online and picked it up. The waitress loudly argued with someone in the back while I waited for food to be brought out, creating an awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere. Had I not taken the food out of the bag to sort it, the ordered soup would have spilled all over my truck. Hesitant to return due to this experience
We come here all the time and the food is incredible. The service is too!!!
Food and service were great. Their "mild" is in fact very spicy.
Food was great!! I will definitely be come back again and I will be recommending this restaurant to all my friends.
Love this place. This Thai restaurant, one of the few in Vermont, is as good as any I've been to in highly asian populated areas. And it has duck!
Good Thai food in a cold and small place in North East.
Food was excellent needed more wait staff it was busy and full of patrons!
Best Authentic Thai food in Vermont! Beats many of the Thai restaurants you get in the city. Fresh vegetables! They even have Brown Rice options and the owner / chef is from Thailand!
I dream of the Thai Lad Nar and Tom Kha. Great service, well-portioned, excellent food.
The blonde hostess/cashier was very unfriendly. It looked like one of the waiters was crying when we arrived. The place is dated and the floors were disgustingly dirty. We ordered online, otherwise we likely would have gone elsewhere. The "medium" heat selection was ridiculously hot to the point you couldn't finish the selection. The other food was bland and certainly not what we would consider Thai food in PA. It was maybe a plaza Chinese restaurant quality. I'm not sure how they had such a high rating when googling the restaurant, but I would suggest elsewhere.
Really good Thai food and friendly staff. The service was very quick too. Their lunch specials are a good deal. The style was more Chinese than Thai it seemed. I expected more fresh flavors that are typical to Thai food.
Amazing meal! No complaints about anything. Food was great as wel as our waitress.
Good food and service.
Excellent duck, great service, great atmosphere.
We ordered four appetizers which were ok - chicken wings, steamed dumplings, fried tofu and fourth one was disappointing (fresh spring rolls).
A little jewel of a place. A pleasant surprise in St. J.
The food is amazing and the service is awesome would highly recommended
It's nice to have some ethnic variety in a meat and potatoes kind of town.
Off the chain delicious Thai food at a great price! Everything we've had has been wonderful. The staff is great, the restaurant is warm and inviting and the take out is just as good!
Excellent curries, good portions, affordable price, and really friendly staff
My husband and I are a fan of the Crab Rangoon,Spicy Bangkok wings, and the Spicy Crispy duck. The veges are fresh and the spice just right. The service is always great. I do think they could work on the appearance of the dining room. It is very dark and the curtains really need a good washing. Atmosphere goes a long way!
Loved every bite and can't get enough
Food was average, there was to less chicken. Plus AC was not on we ware boiling inside. Destroys the feeling of enjoying the food if all you want is just leave the restaurant.
The food is always phenomenal and the service is impeccable. I feel more than welcome here.
Favorite place to eat in St. J
What a great place! As usual, the cuisine was just amazing. We felt like we were being taken care of by friends, not just "waited" on. I try a different dish each time I go and am NEVER disappointed. Can't wait to go back.
my favorite food
Great Thai cuisine made fresh and as hot or mild as you like it. Very open to customizing the dish to add what you like best. Ask for the fresh roll with chicken and basil. The seafood salad is fantastic and the Thai curries...wow. I highly recommend the spicy basil and the drunken noodle dishes, but everything we have tried has been great.
Great Thai food good service
If you want to experience authentic Thai food, avoid eating in small towns like St. Johnsbury, Vermont. I would rate the spring rolls similar to what you would find in any American Chinese restaurant. But, at least they had Singha Beer which you will find anywhere in Thailand.
Arrived in town late, but found Kham's open. Food was ok. We had the chicken satay, drunken noodles, and massaman curry. Food was fresh, had good flavor. Service was friendly. Recommend if you are in area and hungry for thai.
Never had Thai food before. It was very delicious. I'd definitely go back again.
All the food here is amazing! A few of my favorites are the Pad Thai, Thai noodle soup, tom-kha with tofu, fresh spring rolls, sweet & sour with chicken and the best crab rangoons / Thai iced tea I've ever had! The staff is very kind and always a pleasure to visit. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family.
Must try!! It's a little slice of Thailand heaven!!! Delicious doesn't explain how good it really is! I'm a vegan from Virginia Beach visiting and came here twice!
Food so fresh that every bite is delightful!!!
great, fresh, hot thai food - best in the area!
This Thai restaurant is the best of the rest.... food is awesome.
I ordered vegetable spring rolls. Nothing special. Would not order it again. For entree I ordered the Masaman Curry. Excellent dish, ! Fresh ingredients and the right amount of heat make this a good dish.
The food is DELICIOUS. The portion seems a bit small, because I just wanted to eat more! The waitstaff is pleasant and knowledgeable.
Quick, tasty & fresh
Good food, fast service, weak English but got my order right.
I've ordered here nearly a hundred times, and never been disappointed. Food: 10/10 (+) Home-style Thai food. It's not the typical restaurant-style Thai. It can be very spicy! Do NOT order hot unless you are fully prepared! But the …
Ordered the lunch specials (~$8.95) came with soup of the day along with what's on the plate. Very happy with the quality and flavor of the food. Ordered the spicy fried rice and drunken noodles. Total about $ 23 with tip.
Love the food, Love the service and the price is no higher than anywhere else for quality!
Super good food as always and the service was better than ever!
The food is great
Amazing food and really great staff
Great food fresh perfectly cooked and it's always consistently good there is really no other place to get good Asian food I'll give it six stars
Great food! Fresh and well-made. Attentive and friendly staff.
If you like spicy get the four star volcano chicken. Amazing food small place. Great service there too.
Randomly ran into this place during our roadtrip across New England. So glad we found it because it was so tasty and delicious to end our night.
Totally lacks authenticity. Frozen vegetables in most every dish. Prices are too high. Sure a few local friends and family members submit their biased reviews. Want to try great Thai in Vermont? Try the Royal Orchid in Montpelier....AWESOME!
First time eating here and by far some very tasty food. Better then the local Chinese. Will come again.
Had another great meal at Khan's. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive to get there ! :)
Delicious food!
Amazing authentic Thai food, which was unexpected considering the region. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu selections.
Good lunch specials.
I cannot rate them high enough. Always hot, fresh and worth a trip, for their crab rangoons alone. They can get pretty busy, but it's worth the wait. One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to.
Awesome Thai food.
Great fresh ingredients..meals are delicious and preparations excellent. Service FABULOUS. Staff is very customer friendly. Atmosphere cozy and delightful.
Crispy duck , seafood drunken noodle, and beef with ginger sauce all excellent! Arrived on a Saturday at 7:30. Half of the restaurant was filled. Service was great. We finished at 8:35. Price is reasonable. Portions not huge, but filling
Love the place, great food, quite atmosphere
Beat beat best owned by a family from laos and thailand
Great food and great people... Very consistent food! Love it!
Wonderful staff. The food was very good. We had not tried Thai and will be back to try more.
Good food small portions
Food had a strong taste and the smell of fish sauce was bad. My family was afraid it's spoiled. Service was not bad.
