Relaxing atmosphere, super friendly Bartender Tammy. Ample choices of everything in the menu. We tried the Nachos appetizer and it was really good. The plate is big, perfect for sharing. Awesome Burgers.Only thing (and is not that important) is the appetizers took a while to be served, and the entrees came like 10 minutes later. The rest was perfect for a first visit. Give it a try!

Excellent place great food, great price.very friendly kind staff .they really care that you have an enjoyable experience..my brother and I have been traveling through the area on business for the last 6 months about once week..and stop to rest and eat..all the staff are great we have come to know Stacey and colleen they are awesome..real down to earth people and very professional..we are so glad we found this place ,and stop every chance we can ,and look forward to the next time..we would advise you stop in and give it a try ,you won't be disappointed...

The service was good, and the food was okay. The prices were a bit steep for the medium quality of the food. I got a taco salad (pictured) that had probably a whole head of shredded iceberg lettuce underneath the toppings, and not nearly enough meat to compensate for it. The buffalo chicken quesadilla was good.

This location is new to the Rutland, VT area. Nice to see this place not vacant anymore. We decided to stop by for lunch, as we haven't visited a Ground Round in awhile. Walked in, nicely greeted and seated to a table of our choice (high top). Our waitress, Jocelyn was AWESOME and very attentive. Hubby had a beer, which he told her that it was flat, possibly being the "first pour of the day". The staff went over-the-top to satisfy on this matter! Very nice! The food was ok, but the service was excellent! Nice to see the parking lot of this place full! I wish them great success in this location!

I was so happy to learn of a Ground Round in this area. Unfortunately, the ribs were fatty and had little taste, so we had no interest in asking for more. The waitress was friendly, but I really didn't want a long chat. Oh, well...gave it a try.

First time I had the French dip. It was okay but nothing that I could see other than the meat and the dip. The meat was okay but it was hard to bite off the meat. The second time I had the chicken fajitas special. It was a lot of food for the price. It was tasty.

We always sit in the lounge and usually Tanya or Tammy waits on us,we can't remember her name she is an awesome Bartender and is always so professional, well we had karli and she did a good job but no one compares to your Day Bartender. Great food and always the coldest beer.

The food is GROSS!!! Ordered potato skins a burger and Turkey burger. Our appetizer came out the same time as our main courses ... Umm why? Everything tasted as its been sitting in a freezer for who knows how long. Fries were good that's it. John the host/server is rude and needs a attitude adjustment. The 1 star is for Dianna our server she was amazing and has nothing to do with the food part but was very kind.

We enjoyed trivia night last Monday. The wings were large and tasty. A great deal. I had a French Dip burger, sooo delicious, cooked just right. My drink, wasn't perfect, but they fixed it, though it was a busy night.

I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the steak i got here. I expected a mediocre steak but it was better than the last few ive had at some other chain steakhouses recently. The night i went was a tuesday and they have a buy one get one free burger special, which is an amazing deal. The menu seems a bit smaller than i remember this chain having in the past though. It was a good experience, Ill definitely be back.

I'm unfamiliar with `Ground Round`, but as it appeared a reasonable choice in grabbing a bite to eat, I figured I'd give it a try. The overall inside appearance was desirable, clean, proper lighting & staff were friendly, as others have described. Quality of waitress was lacking a bit & felt she needed to `step things up a bit`. The waitress assigned to my table was Diana A., overall she wasn't too bad, but lacked some in customer care. In receiving only 1 glass of tea during dining and failing to check back regularly, played a part in the amount of gratuity she could`'ve received. I chose to order the special ( Rib Night) which was tolerable, but unfortunately to `my` tastebuds, failed in producing a favorable rating. To many, they may fair excellently so won't elaborate as I expect many of the other multiple selections would prove excellent, and as we're all aware, everyone's tastes are different.

First visit was a disaster my sirloin tips were tough, my side dish of vegetables had so much water it ruined the rest of the dish. I played it safe and ordered a bison burger was very good. Tonight was the 3rd time we had dinner at the Ground Round. The first two times, everything was very good - the service, food have been very good and the bar area is decorated nicely. Tonight we ordered burgers; as soon as the waitress put the dishes in front of us, the smell of the hamburger hit me - it was cheap/inferior meat and I could not eat it. I told the waitress but there was no response from her or the owner/manager. Very disappointed in the lack of response. We will probably go back again, but we will never order another burger.

Service was good, food was AMAZINGLY BAD !!! I remember going to Ground Round in Denver in the late 70's early 80's, it was a treat to go out but sadly the food quality went downhill and they closed. It has been over 25 years since I ate (well tried to eat) at this resturaunt, maybe its just this one location but my god if your going to advertise BBQ ribs serve BBQ ribs not boiled half to death slathered in some sort of funky cheap sauce ribs.... It was bad...the coleslaw not much better but the fries were good. Hopefully in another 20+ years they will get their poop in a group and stop serving it to their customers.

After a bad experience when they first opened, we decided to give Ground Round in Rutland another try. The food was great and our server (cant remember his name. Scott maybe? He works at Petco too) was fantastic. While at GR we witnessed a couple that came in and gave two female several a really hard time and they were really rude and condescending. The female servers handled it professionally and very dignified considering the way they were being spoken to. I have to commend the staff on a great job. I don't know if I would have been half as nice as the servers were. My husband actually stopped on the way out and gave the servers all Kudos! Great job dealing with a tough situation.

Lunch time. The popcorn machine has been broke for a few days, they are out of onion rings and cinnamon crispers. Inexperienced kitchen manager?? Potato skins we're bland. Wings were delicious. Cooked just right. Waitress was pleasant.

Went here in May for "All you can eat ribs". I had great childhood memories of going to a Ground Round with my parents, so I was excited when this one opened. I ordered a beers and the ribs and my wife ordered a chicken sandwich and coke. After seeing ribs come out to others around us over the next 45 minutes, we asked the waitress/bartender to check on our food. She came out and said they had run out of ribs and did not offer any apologies or even a suggestion for another meal. She then told us they only had a chicken patty and not the crispy chicken for the sandwich. We were visibly annoyed since we weren't told anything until we asked and said we would be leaving. She then gave us the check for the beer and soda. We gave this place another chance about a week ago. The bartender was clearly overwhelmed so we asked a server for popcorn twice, but never got it. The food took almost a half hour to come out and was just okay. Needless to say, we don't plan on going back.

Wish we could have enjoyed our experience here because all the Ground Rounds in Ny closed 20 something years ago and it was exciting to come across one while being away, but the staff here completely ruined our fond memories of the restaurant chain for us. The lack of knowledge of their menu items, the inexcusably slow service during a quiet buisness hour, the unprofessional behavior of the staff and manager on duty and food not being prepared as ordered as well as not receiving food items that were ordered were all factors. Worst of all they did not acknowledge any of their mistakes or try to make an effort to fix them or even offer any sort of apology to us. Hopefully someone at Ground Round corporate reads this and cleans house because that's what needs to happen here

Got there shortly before close on a Saturday night after visiting from out of state. We were the only ones there presumably since it was after 11p - but it was a Saturday. The nachos we got as an appetizer were fantastic - some of the best I've had anywhere - but my burger, ordered to be cooked to medium, was way overdone as were the burgers of all in our group of five. If it wasn't so late - we had an hour+ drive ahead of us to our motel - we all would've sent them back. Very disappointing visit. Five for the nachos - one for the food - service was average = 3 stars

My daughter and I had been driving for 5 hours and decided to stop for a bite. I met my wife at the ground round before it closed in Rhode Island over 15 years ago so this stop was somewhat nostalgic. I wish I could review the food but nobody ever bothered to acknowledge us. We sat for 11 minutes in a booth and we're ignored by multiple members of the staff. We walked out.

I eat there frequently and partially enjoy their burgers, ribs, fun atmosphere, specials, free popcorn and watching sports on there 8 large screen TV's. Hillary, our waitress was beyond the best and this place makes the best damn food and that's saying a lot for me because not only am I particular and picky, I have been in the food industry for years and know what I should be getting and this place does it well!!! I usually give a 20% tip, but I tip based on the service I was given and I gave almost 30% last night! Thanks so much for all your hard work!!!! Makes me want to go back to Rutland just to go to Ground Round!!! Also what a great selection of Beers on Tap. Great Job who ever handles selecting the local beers.

Came for lunch. $12 and up for a burger I pretty steep so I went with the lunch portion of chicken Alfredo. First complaint -an extra $1.79 I you want broccoli in it. Second - there is absolutely no flavor in the sauce. 3rd -the chicken is dry and needs to be soaked in sauce to get it down. The bartender seemed distracted by the new waitress and was not very attwntive.... until he was ready for me to be done, at which point he checked on me several times.. in a couple minutes. I only big it a 2 because Monday had $0.50 wings and they are alright. I'll stick with Monday wings.
