You may have noticed that its rating is very high, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we can say that the score is quite reliable. If people have bothered to value when they are happy, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Mexican restaurant.
Complimentary chips and salsa, amazing! Drinks, perfect. Food was SO good! All prices are totally reasonable, and our service was prompt. Had our pup with us, outside, and they brought her water. Will be back...great place!
Awesome..
Wife loved her taco. My shredded pork taco, not so much.
We were looking for outdoor seating and this place was perfect. The Margarita, guacamole and chips paired beautifully with the sunny warm day. Fun place for the whole family.
The restaurant could use a food runner and bar back. Food was good.
We just could two very simple meals but they were both extremely good. My wife’s Mexican Cobb salad was large, super fresh and loaded with tomatoes, avocado, eggs, and bacon. It was top with bleu cheese and homemade cilantro ranch dressing. I got the Cowboy burger (with Mayo instead of BBQ sauce) but honestly, it was one of the best hamburgers I’ve had in a long long time. Thick and juicy cook perfect with plenty of Cabot’s cheddar, guacamole, and bacon. I got the house salad for my side and it was excellent too with the homemade cilantro ranch dressing. Highly recommend...
Pleasant cafe, we dined outdoors among many plants and flowers. The food was tasty.
Awesome food and even more awesome service. Great beer selection.
Great lunch! Grilled shrimp in "hard taco". ( Great taco, crunchy but didn't fall apart)
This honestly may have been the best food I've ever had the honor of eating. I never leave reviews but this place was something next level. I got the shredded chicken tacos and every ingredient was as fresh as they come. We ate here on a whim just passing through Manchester on our way to Dorset and were beyond impressed! 11/10 would eat again.
Popular place, nice people. Food quality not so good.
Friendly accommodating staff. Food was great.
Have always loved this place except for the flour tortilla chips ... Now you can request gluten free corn chips!!! Hallelujah.
The food was terrible, it wasn't even hot, it was barely even warm, I got a seafood enchilada and the shrimp wasn't peeled and the fish still had skin on it!!!
Good food and great service.
Authentic mexican food, great place to meet friends!
Great Mexican food and drink, but the price of the Ultimate Margaritas was almost $20! That being said it was a strong drink. I would recommend this restaurant and maybe just get the house margaritas.
Fresh and good quality
We've eaten here three times now, because it seems to be quite popular. However, I've always been disappointed. I would call the food Mexican-inspired but not really Mexican. In addition, the acoustics lend themselves to a rather noisy dining experience. Nevertheless, if you want to try something different, you might enjoy it. It offers various unusual "signature" dishes plus outdoor dining in the summer.
I stop here every time I'm in the Manchester area. Love the margaritas, the pulled pork is great and the chips and guac are fantastic. It's a must stop if you're coming up any time of year. The outdoor seating is nice during the summer months especially if you have a dog who likes to sleep under the dinner table like ours.
Quick, extremely delixcious mexican food. Try the fajita bowls or the steak and shrimp fajita
Good place for southwestern food in Vermont. Try the wings with Jacks special sauce on it really good.
Food is not bad,not brest not bad but charging a side of jalapenos and 44 bucks for a pitcher of sangria with more ice than wine!! Shame on this place!total disappointment!
The atmosphere is great, the decor is great, and the service just fine. They had some great beers too. Too bad the food is so bland it doesn't quite pass for Mexican food. The black bean soup had no taste, and the guacamole had no salt or spice. This is something they could change very easily.
Food was good. Our waiter was great but still was not really satisfied. Walked by the restaurant yesterday and asked if we needed reservations for dinner, was told “no”. Then went back last night and they asked if we had reservations. So we went somewhere else for dinner, as they could not seat us. Decided to try again this evening and called today for reservations. When I called I was put on hold for almost 10 minutes by a Dan. Dan never came back so I hung up and tried again. Made a reservation for 7:00 with a Julie and asked to be seated outside. Was told I could not make a reservation for outside so I said ok not a problem. Got there at 7 and the hostess said she did not see our reservation in the book. The hostess handled the situation well and they sat us in a side room, which was fine. The young male waiter was very attentive and polite. When we left we walked through the patio and saw a sign that said “reserved”. I don’t know if the girl who took our reservation just didn’t know what was going on or maybe she was new but we were a little perturbed by the situation. It was a beautiful evening and would have loved to have sat outside, since we called for a reservation I don’t see why we would not have been allowed to reserve an outdoor table. Seeing that someone else had really just rubbed me the wrong way.
Excellent place if it's Mexican food you crave this is it!
Never thought I'd say Vermont has some of the best Mexican food I've ever had but this is it! Amazing!!! Best chips and salsa too
Disappointed in our experience last night. I ordered smoked pork enchiladas but recieved tacos instead. When the waitress asked if we needed anything else we requested sour cream which she never brought us. We were never offered any refills on our drinks. The ac unit that was above us was leaking onto my fiancee and when we mentioned it to the staff they applogized, but did not offer to move our table over.
Good food, watered down drinks and overpriced for the product.
We both really enjoyed the food. It’s an American take on southwestern food and it was delicious. The house is pretty cool too, adding to the overall ambiance.
Out of 3 things we ordered 2 were okay but enchiladas were very sour lacking the taste. The seating was difficult to get. We waited for more then 1 hour. We were told they had only 1 chef working 3 shifts. The server was nice but a bit absent minded. We could give them one more try...
Great food & jalapeno margarita, great service, very clean & reasonably priced !
Excellent salsa! Interesting and tasty menu.
Nice and cosy
Food is good. Service isn't great.
Excellent service. Great food.
Great atmosphere. Huge portions. You won't leave hungry!
Good food choices. Great bar menu and tequila selection.
Our family stopped here for a late lunch following a visit to the craft fair. Everyone enjoyed their meals which included the quesadilla special of the day, the burritos, 1 with pulled pork and 1 with grilled steak which was cooked a perfect medium and enchiladas in a mole sauce. The pulled pork was rated fair. The meal started with a house quacamole which was enjoyed by everyone. I would have given this place a higher rating had the service been better. We had to wait too long to order our entrees and had to repeatedly remind our server to bring additional condiments to the point our meals became cold. The margaritas were good but a little small considering the prices. Although this place enjoys good reviews, our experience will not lend us to return.
Good food and service. Great menu variety.
This place is pretty good. Comfortable atmosphere and OK Mexican food. I don't eat here very often, but I have used their catering for several events recently and it is very reasonably priced and very good.
always ask for jakob!
Good. Food
Terrific food and service! Very aesthetically pleasing surroundings, too!
Great Mexican food and drinks! Friendly service. Relaxing atmosphere. I had the Barbi Shrimp Quesa' Dizzas. There is something for everyone on the menu. A nice lunch option in Manchester.
I think it's a good Mexican food place, it has a good variety of foods and is family friendly.
Good and delicious. You must try the smoke chicken wings. It is so smoky and tasty.
Kind of high priced but homemade tortilla chips and amazing salsa. Everything was amazing. Server was a little"bland"
No warm welcome here. If you don't have a reservation don't waste your time walking in, even on a cold day. Hostess not too welcoming...
Chips were chalky, salsa tasted like can tomatoes. Ordered chicken mole enchiladas. The chicken tasted old. I tried to eat it but the aftertaste got worse with each bite. Bf ordered burger and fries, he said it was ok but I noticed he drowned the burger in salt to give it flavor, I tried the fries and they had no flavor at all, maybe in the freezer too long. Would not recommend.
Requested second fiddle, was given fiddlehead ipa in a short glass. Underwhelming
I like this place... the bars fun, the staff is fun and the food is very good!
We had the fresh guacamole, a chicken bowl, and veggie bowl and it was all very delicious! Great specialty margaritas too!
Wonderful place! Best guacamole I have ever had! The bartender Dan W...best bartender in Vermont.
Good food , good service , guacamole was excellent!
Great sweet potato fries and guacamole.
Good food and good place
The vibe of the place was great but the food lacked flavor. I had a pulled pork sandwich and my husband had a steak fajita.
Excellent margaritas, unique and authentic menu
Bartender was friendly and helpful. I try to be as gluten free as possible and dinning at Gringo Jack's makes that easy. Hard cider and tacos, you cant beat it. Bathrooms are up some steep steps on the second floor but clean! Great place to stop, don't miss it!
Quick service and great burgers and Tex Mex. They're dog friendly and will bring water for your doggo if you don't want to leave them home alone. I came it at lunch today and told them I might need to leave suddenly- they took my order and gave me the food and check within 10 minutes. Only criticism is not to order frozen drinks without alcohol- they're sweet enough to mask tequila, so without the tequila they're just a sugar kick to the face.
Nice atmosphere. Fish tacos were solid. Service was fine not exceptional.
A clean spot for sure, but our server was a little inattentive, doing the bare minimum. When it came to our dining experience, the margaritas? They were good, but my pomegranate one didn't taste different from a regular one. Food? It depends. We started with the guacamole which, tbh, needed a creamier element. I just learned that some people put sour cream or Greek yogurt in their guac to help it taste creamier and keep it from browning and I think that'd benefit them here, but it did taste better as time went on. My aunt got a chicken taco and two beef tacos. She liked the chicken one enough, but the beef tacos were really under-seasoned and the meat almost seemed like it wasn't beef. We found it odd that there was no option to go without cabbage in the taco, because it was mixed in with the lettuce. Our server said there was "only a little" but there was quite a bit in there. My boyfriend and I split a "smokin three" with pork as our meat, and we really should have just gotten the tacos because that pork taco was the best thing we ate. That pork and the saved this rating from being one star. Very moist and delicious. The mini burrito and enchilada included in the smokin three weren't as good, they became indistinguishable except for the beans in the burrito. Overall it was kind of overpriced for the quality of the food. If you put some actual spice into this food, or at least included that as an option, it'd be so much better.
I ordered the chorizo burger. It was quite burnt and my fries were very undercooked. The service was slow and the meal and drinks were expensive, even disregarding the quality. I don't like leaving poor reviews but it was just an awful experience.
Service was excellent
I didn't hate it, it was cute anyhow. We waited a long time for any acknowledgement of our existence. We waited a long time for our food, which was not good. We were from out of town, and made to feel it. Locals icy stares.
Decent food. Good staff.
Great Mexican food. Very fresh. Fun to sit outside. Definitely worth a visit...
A local favorite. Homemade chips. Homemade dips. Great decor.
Love this place, go every year we come to Vermont. Great margaritas great food
Best Mexican food I’ve had in a while, get the chimichanga with chicken. House margaritas are tasty but lacking alcohol content.
Changing a business name from something cool to literally your own name doesn't improve the food or experience it just ruins it. Used to be amazing like most places in Manchester then someone must have died because they are horrible now.
I have been here 2 or 3 times. I have been less impressed each time. The chips are the best thing they have. The guac is a bit sour. The cheese in their dishes is stuff from a package at a supermarket. The tortillas were bad, and my chicken for the fajita was a bit bland. My mom enjoyed her enchilada, and I remember enjoying mine more than the fajitas the last time I came here.
Excellent Southwest food! Tasty and authentic!
Great food and service
Great value and fun place to eat
Place was great. Food was excellent, staff was very accommodating
The waiter that we had was excellent. The food tasted wonderful as always. I did however, feel that the portions were extremely small for the amount of money we spent.
Delicious meal! The salsa was very fresh, the chips need a little work kind of soggy. We had the pulled pork quesa-pizza and the Vermonster burger, both very good. Definitely a must try restaurant if you are in the area!
Good food good service
Really enjoyed the experience, the chips and salsa are homemade and yummy as was the food. Cool setup in the restaurant as well
Love this little joint! Very rustic, and the food is fantastic. Try the guacamole as an appetizer, you won't regret it. We spent about 5 days in Manchester and we're here three nights of those 5 days with our industry. The staff is friendly, the food comes out hot, and it's a great place to sit in a corner and just chat.
Great stop after a hike; delicious food and drink, awesome host & waitress and a dog friendly outdoor patio.... what more could you ask for!
Fun place. We had fajitas and frozen margaritas which was the perfect combo for dinner on a Saturday night. Our waiter was first rate too.
Have been going here for years. Very good food , Bar and 2 rooms to dine in, Outside seating. Very good Staff.
Great Southwestern Bar+Grill!! The slow cooked pork is AMAZING!! Chicken-cilantro-lime fajitas, were delicious!! Mojito recommended :)
Great Food. Loved their TACOS and The Margaritas. The South Western Decor is Wonderful
Sat outside it was a very nice experience. The waiter was very pleasant and patience with our children.
First time going to this place. Quiet and nice inside - but it did take awhile for the hostess to sit us when no one was really there. I ordered a burger asked for medium. It came out dark pink, had no flavor. My brother ordered a burrito with chicken but they gave him a beef burrito. My boyfriend got chicken tenders. Waitress said it comes with 6 tenders. When his food came out, it was 3 tenders but cut in half. Other than that, the waitress was really nice and apologized for everything and even took the burger off the bill. Would come back again but hopefully it’ll be better next time.
Salsa and chips out of this world.
The Tex Mex was good, a little pricey.
Great friendly service. Food just OK. Mild, not too firey. Good beer choices. But I am from Texas, and I don't expect top shelf Mexican food in Vermont.
Great atmosphere, wonderful food and kind staff.
There salsa is great and there steak tacos are even better..
Good food
Pretty good food, pretty good beer selection. 4/5 because one of the beers they were out of one of the beer selections I tried ordering
My waiter Jacob was pretty fly... always ask for that dude.
Decent food. Certainly hits the spot when craving Mexican food. Service has been really poor and unwelcoming. We'll continue to go back for the food but have been disappointed in the service twice.
Tasty food. Recommend the salsa, quinoa and avocado salad, and the half-smoked chicken.
Tasty food with just the right amount of kick. Helpful service.
Excellent staff & bar, but no longer close to real mexican nor tex-mex food.
Great authentic Mexican food and awesome ambience. Have eaten here a number of times and have never had a bad meal. The Chipotle sauce is fantastic. Food is always fresh and the guacamole is very unique and not the run of the mill standard green mush. Give it a try if you are in Manchester, VT. Can be pretty busy during the weekends. Casual dining but has a nice "high end" restaurant feel to it. Dining along the street in front is very nice at night. You will not be disappointed.
Fresh delicious Mexican food and drinks.
Food is consistently good. Service may vary. Chaco Tacos are delicious.
All good. Food, service, atmosphere.
Always a dinner experience when in town. Taco salad bowl was an excellent choice this time.
Food was delicious, plenty of options. Service/staff was quick and friendly. Both my husband and I would recommend this place to family and friends
