This my guilty pleasure. I love Chinese food -- I have eaten Chinese food in almost every country I have ever travelled and never get tired of it. The buffet at China Moon has a good variety, is always fresh and never ceases to please me. The staff is very helpful and always there should not see your favorite available. Great please to take a minute and enjoy.

The food was not very good. The lo mein and crispy chicken were the only two things I liked out of the 25 dish selection. They also had calamari and sushi at the desert table, not a good mix. Besides the food, the waitress was nice, so I will give them two stars for the hospitality; one for the food. Will not be returning.

Food is good when it's hot. Best to go at the beginning of the lunch time or dinner times not the end. Friendly enough staff but they always seem to be staring and never really speak English unless speaking directly to you.

Very dissatisfied, lunch price goes till 3:30 and sign on door says in small print must be here by 3:15. We arrived at 3:13 and was told that it was now dinner price..Food was left over from lunch and was cold and sparce.. Just honor your adervertising and respect your paying customers.

Rude staff and they over charge us. They change there prices everytime we eat there. $53 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Kids were all under 5 (which they had told us last time is supposed to be free) not worth it. Food is alright but terrible service. $20 price difference in just a week for the same amount of people and amount of plates.

This is my all time favorite place to get Chinese food. They easily have the best selection at their buffet and everything is always hot and delicious. The staff doesn't say much but they're quick and courteous and you never have to wait for you bill or for someobe to take your used plates. You can also get take out which is done by weight so fill up a container with whatever you want and take it home! The possibilities are endless and delicious

Food is great for buffet. Stuff doesn't sit out very long. There is a language barrier with almost all the staff. But it doesn't affect the taste of the food. They offer dining in their restaurant, or walk-in/carryout. Also an array of cheap jewelry and knickknacks at the front counter.

Most food is very greasy. The floor around the entrance and buffet tables is very slippery. Went there for lunch on Valentine''s day and was charged $12.95 per person without knowing. They would not refund the money. I won't ever go back.

Average food, typical buffet style restaurant atmosphere, staff is quick to offer service, but replenishing the food was slow. Not a large variety of foods offered as in other buffet style settings. We felt rushed when dinning as we did not get quite finished eating when the young lady tried to take all the plates and hand us the bill.

Best AYCE in barre/montpelier. Food is quality for a buffet. Definitely more of quantity over quality but best quality for money. Lunch buffet during the week is the real deal. Cheap quality Chinese food. Service is nice. One of my favorite places in the area.

We arrived at 4:15 pm the food was hot and fresh with plenty of variety and trays where full overall very good quality buffet food that was cooked just right. As for the staff 50% happy and pleasant the other 50% down rite grumpy.

Mixed review on this establishment. The food is very hit or miss and not worth the dinner/weekend prices. There is a women who stands by the buffet and is not friendly whatsoever ever. The food is usually fresh if you hit the lunch buffet and affordable (under $7 I believe)

We took a whole group here the other day and while the food was ok it wasn't great. Then my consumer had some ice cream and he said it was sour so I had him stop eating it. He ended up getting sick all the way home so we won't be eating here again.

OUR GREETER was very rude! She acted like her shift ended ten minutes before we walked in, she was pushy and did not want to be bothered. The buffet was cold and the food was scarce . We arrived some where around one-o'clock. There were maybe 4-5 small tables already seated. Everything Was cold and to be honest it just sucked also was pretty pricey $17.00 for two. I have eaten there twice and the second time was as bad if not worse than the first.

Always happy here. I believe in all the years that I've been going here I've only been disappointed once. The service is good and the food is excellent. Especially for the price. Would recommend it to anyone looking to get the most for their dollar. Mon-Sat. Sundays good. More variety but more expensive by about $5.00 per person.

The last time I went there the roof was leaking down into the walls and into our booth. There was mold on 3 walls. Pointed it out to the waitress and was told they know about it. The floor around the buffet tables is always greasy and the waitresses stare like they want you out. One went to the point of repeatedly leaning over my shoulder .

I love going to China Moon Buffet. The price for lunch and Dinner is very fair. They offer so many different kinds of foods. They also have a Salad bar for vegetarian, with salad, soup, veggies, breads, fruits etc...It's a great place to sit down with your friends, family, co-workers etc...China Moon also has an ice cream machine, which is my favorite part. I love the gift section in the front of the restaurant, there are some pretty cool things for sale. I bought my husband this really cool Desk Top Welding Magnifier for Christmas and he loves it. There is a woman that works here and she is rude and disrespectful. She stands there and stares at you while you eat. I went up and got a couple crab legs and she came yelling at me that I wasn't supposed to eat them. There was no sign saying I shouldn't. Because of that she charged me way extra for a couple legs! After she shames me in front of people. Terrible and disrespectful!!!
