Damn dude. Best fried chicken I've had beside Crown Fried Chicken in Brooklyn. Idk why that isn't their top seller, get that fried thigh. Burgers are good too, actually cooked medium rare with no temp given as opposed to 90% of places just going for well done automatically. Only crave and Five Guys have a better burger up here outside a sitdown steakhouse. Everything is awesome fresh, not too big on their popular wraps/sammiches because they're a bit soggy when they get to you delivered. Bangin' bites were disappointing. The nuggets are all white meat. Some people dig that, I like dark meat because white is kinda dry but that's personal preference Overall, the quality is far above what you'd expect for the price. Their chicken is particularly good. This should be a national chain, except not because then the quality would drop for sure. Seriously try the fried chicken, it's fantastic. Also, I can't speak for dorm deliveries, but round town they are always quick and friendly. May have something to do with consistently tipping $3+(take note LIDS) but seriously, best drunk food for the price in the area.

Googled Chicken Joe's & "Chicken Joe's Albany" came up with an option to go straight to the website & order online. One of the options was a choose 3 lunch special which was perfect for ordering for the office. Was called by Chicken Joe's to say that it was an old menu & they were not honoring that option any longer. I responded that this was the only menu to choose from DIRECTLY from their own website but the site "manager" said they have a new combined website now and he was "unable" to key it in. Funny, it's not accessible through Google! I hope the owners of Chicken Joe's know that their "managers" do not put the client first. Nice customer service. Perhaps it would be prudent to take the website down as you're probably paying to have it hosted. It's unfair to your customers & it's disappointing how little you value our patronage.

Love this place but had a bad experience today.. Tried to call in a order ,explained to the lady I wanted a grilled Chicken Wrap she asked what was the name of the order and I wasnt sure. Didnt have a menu on me as I was driving , explained it was the 1 with Bacon and Ranch and she said that doesn't help.. I told her I would just come in and order ,once I got there I seen the Dane on the menu and ordered it with Grilled Chicken.. I received my order and left, come to find out 10 mins later that it wasnt grilled it was crispy.. I was Pissed , besides that I've always enjoyed there food .. Still giving 5 Stars

Some of their good is okay and some is not. Some days the chicken breast chunks are very dry. The best thing I've eaten from there is the French Fries. When they first opened I was excited because I live in the area. But now I very rarely go there. Plus, they pollute the environment with the grease that constantly leaks from under their fence on the side of the building. They try to cover it with kitty litter but the sidewalk is all stained. I won't go there again.

If calories and getting fat isn't a concern of yours, then this place serves up the best deep-fried decadent food imaginable. If you can get over the bro-y/fratty staff and upcharge for sauces (even ketchup), this place is near perfect.

Ordered the 4 pc chicken platter with slaw and tater salad, and 'The Dane' (basically a grilled chicken BLT, which also can be ordered as a wrap, like all their sammiches). The chicken was hot, crispy, meaty and very tasty - for Yankee fried chicken (I'm a Southern boy). The only [slight] negative was the saltiness of the house spices on the chicken. I was warned about that when I ordered it, and she was right. If you're on a low salt diet, pick another of their many options (naked, bbq, ranch, hot sauce, etc.). The slaw was simple but very good. The tater salad was good, but this is where I got homesick for some good ol' Southern cookin'. We make tater salad with onions and pickles and a little mustard. Apparently you Damn Yankees just use mayo and vinegar or something. Tasty, but boring. ;) The Dane was awesome, with perfectly grilled chicken, a toasted roll, and crunchy veggies. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu. They are open late and filled my order in 20 minutes during peak hours. Call ahead if you're ordering around midnight, or they will deliver for $2. The staff was super friendly and helpful to this first-time customer. Overall, a great little neighborhood fried chicken joint. And this Southern boy is thankful for it!

This 1 star is soley on the service. I haven't eaten any of my order yet. I arrived and ordered my food and waited about 15 20 minutes only to come to find out they gave my order to someone else. I understand mistakes happen and wasnt upset about the mistake only the handling of it. The server acted like she couldnt care less and then after waiting another 30 minutes and still not getting my order I asked for a refund only to be told the person who can do the refund cant come off the food line and I would have to come back. This highly irritated me because its not like we can get our food first and then come back later to pay for it. When the original server was told that I wanted a refund she gave an attitude like I was in the wrong for not wanting to wait any longer for my food. Within a few minutes after asking about the refund all of a sudden my food was ready and was handed to me by the original server still with an attitude.

I had a delivery tonight(07/29). I payed for 2 breast,and 1 wing. I received 1 breast,and 2 wings. I was asked to come downstairs to the lobby once delivery arrived.(why ask for room # if u only delivery to the lobby). Now the fries were stuck together,and HARDER than the bones in the chicken. The chicken was by far the worst chicken I've ever taste,and it was very overpriced. I did NOT EAT THIS TRASH,i put it where you put things that are No good to you or for you.. I PUT THIS CHICKEN JOES OLD HARD CHICKEN IN THE TRASH... YOU SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR SELLING THAT POISON ......

I always love coming here! Their chicken is so different than anything you can get at a fast food place. The quality and service is always great when I come here. In cost it ends up being about the same as McDonald's if you were to get a meal offer with fries and a drink (about $8). Every time I have been here they have made it fresh! I have yet to go to the Troy location, but hope to soon!

I don't know what possessed me, a 31 year old man, to try chicken joes. The food came cold an hour and a half after ordering. The potato cones were a tasteless mess. My dog seemed to enjoy them more. The chicken was slightly better but, still pretty awful, since the name chicken joes implies their staple item is chicken. It was mushy and tasteless. I suppose if i were a suny student blackout drunk on keystones, this may be appealing, otherwise chicken joes has no redeeming qualities. I am full of regret and bad food.

I visited this place on a Tuesday afternoon. Not very busy. The staff were friendly. They didn't know what hot chicken was though LOL. I ordered a three piece with fries. I was offered the option of having the chicken seasoned or not, so I said sure, then I was asked if I wanted the fries seasoned as well and I said no. I asked if they had any sauces to go with the chicken and then pointed out a bunch on the menu I ordered a middle-of-the-road "Joe's special" sauce what I was told would be spicy but not too hot. I had my order within about 5 minutes. So I took it out to my car. first thing I noticed was that they packed the fries and chicken separately in foil bags but left the foil bags open. That's the smart thing to do because you don't want the fries or the chicken to get soggy, which they would if you close them because they would steam. The chicken with a golden color but not very crispy. Mind you it took about 30 seconds to get from the front door of the chicken place to my car so the aforementioned steaming didn't even have time to take place even if the foil bag was closed. As far as flavor goes the seasoning was kind of salty. I tasted a bit of garlic in there and some onion which is very typical, was also a little on the gritty side which would suggests to me that they fried the chicken first and then tossed it in the seasoning. This is a smart move on two levels one if the chicken was a big greasy the seasoning would hide that. And 2 you don't burn the garlic or onion which would give a bitter taste. I have to hand it to them, they know what they're doing in the cooking department. The chicken was juicy without being under done. The fries are a whole different story. Although they were crispy, which means they were fried at the right temperature for the right amount of time, and not left to sit around to get soggy, (again props to the cook) they were pre-seasoned fries. In the industry we call them textured fries. They're becoming more and more common. They have sodium and a bunch of other "seasonings" like cornstarch and msg added to them in the blanching process. This insures uniform texture and crunch. It kills the taste of the fries though so there's that. Not a fan of textured fries. As for the coleslaw, it was creamy and crunchy at the same time it taste like it came from a jar though. Not necessarily a bad thing. And "Joe's special" sauce taste like pineapples there was no heat whatsoever no other flavor other than pineapple maybe some honey. Anyway, at $9 and change for a drumstick, a wing and a thigh, fries and coleslaw it's not a bad deal at all. I probably wouldn't return unless it was 11:30 at night no place else to go when I was drunk but that's not a bad thing.

Was one of my favorite places to order from, the food is good. I’m upset because out of nowhere I call to get my sandwich and my fries and now they don’t deliver to my area? I’m 6 minutes from the store and have spent good money with them. Also I live in a nice area so it’s fine, they just lost a loyal customer. The driver also said it wasn’t far and I am closer than other places they deliver to.

First time ... I ordered the sage chicken sandwich with the loaded fries. The fries were hard and the sandwich was a disappointment. The bread was tough, there was a hard stem of lettuce on the bun, and the chicken nuggets were unseasoned. Second time ... I ordered the spicy bbq wings with the mashed potato cones, and the high school special with fries and a sweet tea. The wings were good but the mashed potato cones were not. They were bland and tasted like old frying grease. The nuggets were still not seasoned so I’m assuming they don’t use any and expect the dipping sauces (HM Ranch BBQ etc) to make up for the lack of flavor. It doesn’t. The sweet tea is a joke. I drink a cup of earl grey every morning, plain with nothing added, and that’s exactly what their “sweet” iced tea taste like. Iced earl grey. The fries were softer this time around but like the cones, they tasted like old frying grease which is pretty disgusting saying as how that only happens when the fryers aren’t properly cleaned. All this to say, the place is over hyped. I’m assuming it’s major consumers are drunken college students who don’t know how to properly provide for themselves and thus resort to binge eating nuggets and fries as a cheap alternative for adequate macronutrients. I won’t order again and wouldn’t recommend it because it’s literally garbage food. Sorry but I’m not sorry.
