Changed to 4 stars from 3 after enjoying leftover fried chicken breast 2 days later. Chicken breasts are the most difficult to get fresh, juicy and tender when cooked with the other parts. That's exactly what they achieved with crispy & flavorful seasoning! Not sure if the secret was to fry each piece separately. Whatever it is it worked! My brother chose Chicken Charlie's for his birthday dinner & ordered the Family Feast with rotisserie chicken, chicken wings, rolls, mash potatoes, Montreal slaw & French fries. Everyone seemed to enjoy & noted the wings were spicy! I had the fried half chicken which came with 2 sides, roll and gravy. Fries, Montreal slaw plus extra Mac and cheese. The slaw with vinegar was my favorite. This is counter service and then meal brought to your table with very little wait. Pretty typical fast food atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. Have had take out for work lunches, but this was my first time eating in the restaurant.

I used to love Chicken Charlies until one night I got harassed and insulted repeatedly over a delivery order that I never recieved. The employee who said he was "the manager" (that evening) repeatedly insulted me by calling me names and making nasty comments. When I would hang up he would immediately keep calling me right back trying to insult me over the phone and wanted to get me to keep continuing his fight and anger. I had to repeatedly tell him to stop calling my phone. It was awful and after that I can not trust ordering from this establishment again because of the threats I recieved. It was awful and I really hope no one ever has this happen to them. :( Really sucks because I always had such good experiences until this.

I've been going to Chicken Charlie's in South Burlington for 3 years now. I usually don't get any chicken, not because it isn't good, but because I love the Pulled Pork Poutine specialty so much. It was the first thing I ever ordered there 3 years ago and remains my stand-by. I've eaten in the restaurant, picked up for take-out, and ordered online and had it delivered. The service is always good and I've never left hungry. I definitely recommend.

Waited over 90 minutes for an order that I was told would be ready in 20 minutes. After patiently waiting for an hour I gently approached the counter to see if there was an issue with my order. I was ignored, and not given a reasonable explanation, instead the woman who is always at the desk and usually kind turned her back. This level of customer service is unacceptable and deserves at least a reasonable explanation. I have been a regular customer for quite a long tim but will think twice and consider alternative options in the future. I’m not upset with the wait, had they told me to come in 2 hours l would have. I am upset about the blatant disrespect and lack of acknowledgement that I’ve been sitting here for an unrealistic amount of time. No one offered any update at any point.

Placed an order for deliver at 6 PM. Received most of the order with cold fries and onion rings at 7:30 with the cheesecake missing. Called them right away to let them know the cheesecake was missing. At 8:30 still hadn't received the promised (and paid for cheesecake), called them again and they said the "driver had left with it 10 minutes ago [8:20 PM]". Now 9 PM and still haven't received the cheesecake 3 hours later. Occasionally decent food, but don't count on it. Quality has been hit-or-miss lately and when the delivery service is also sub-par, take your business elsewhere, as we plan on doing.

We went there twice, one day apart and both times they messed up our order. On day one we ordered a chicken sandwich and got an order of onion rings instead ( they tie all the boxes together so we didn't check until we got back to our hotel) and on day two we again ordered a chicken sandwich and they put extra toppings we did not order. Good takeout spot where you can see the chickens dancing in the rotisserie before your very eyes. A number of great sauce options, but I find myself always going back to the maple bbq. Great sides - Mac n cheese, etc. but I think the menu is larger than necessary. I liked the poutine a lot better the first couple of times before I found out they don’t make their own gravy, but it is what it is.

As a resident of South Burlington, we're always looking for good restaurants that deliver that are more than the normal pizza and Chinese. Chicken Charlie's fills this role to a T. Not only is anything they make of chicken absolutely delicious, but you can also get a solid burger and even a steak if you wanted to. Some of my favorites are the roasted club sandwich and the cajun ranch burger. Also, the gravy is one of my guilty pleasures. To top this all off, you can order online, which is often a deciding factor for me if I'm going to order delivery.

Not enough positive things to say about this restaurant. I absolutely love coming to this place, from the friendly workers, to the amazing food. I can honestly say that there isn't anything on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. The service is wonderful, they have a lady at the front named Jen who is as friendly as can be and always has a smile on her face. I really enjoy seeing her when I come in. The food is wonderful, if you are thinking that this is fast food you are mistaken. This is a more sit-down atmosphere and the food quality shows the same. Their chicken is so good! I have gotten the tenders, the rotisserie chicken is full of flavor and is so juicy. Let's talk about sides for a second. Their potatoes are made each day and you can tell how fresh they are. I would say if you have the chance, Go!

If you like your chicken enthusiastically greasy, Chicken Charlie's is the place for you. It is NOT a restaurant to take your date to, nor a place to come after the senior formal. But as far as picking up a big to-go order to take home and enjoy while drinking copious amounts of domestic American beer our of aluminum cans and watching football, it can't be beat.

Called this place to order 18 wings was told I could only have two sauce I had asked for three. I told them I would pay extra for the additional sauce which is in reason. I was told there was no way they would do that. really? So I called buffalo wild wings I ended up getting the three sauces I wanted and it was four dollars cheaper. This is no way to build your customer base I will never call or come into your place of business ever. It won't be long if you keep treating your customers like this you will be closing your doors. You need to take care of them not push them away. Oh yeah they told me just go ahead and order somewhere else wow if I was the owner I would want to know why this is happening

Oh my gosh the wings at this place are spectacular – I am in love with the Vermont maple glaze and the classic Buffalo!! Oh, and I just saw that they're introducing habanero mango, Which I can't wait to try. We like to order online and get the food delivered. This is very handy for us and is a great alternative to pizza. We like the soup, the mac and cheese, burgers, ribs and chicken tenders. I don't think there is anything we don't like here The prices are reasonable as we always seem to get enough food to last 2 or 3 meals.

My last experience with chicken charlie's was awesome! I ordered online, and even though I had to drive about 40 minutes round trip, my food was still piping hot when I got home! I ordered the Jumbo chicken strips, coleslaw, and pasta salad. Everything met my expectations, But I gotta say, the pasta salad was really good. I'll definitely be ordering that again.

We have to date tried: their Ribs (tasty but small), burgers (delicious and big), amazing maple bbq wings, fried chicken (crispy and tasty), chicken strips ( huge and dripping with great flavor glazes), and a vast selection of great sides. Thier gravy is beyond reproach, the rotisserie chicken is moist and flavorful, and their prices are very reasonable.

Stopped in with friends for a late lunch. Ordered a wrap with a side and a chicken tender platter. Cost was less than $30 for two people. Husband said chicken tenders were great, but I found my wrap to be a little boring. The sauce seemed concentrated on the ends of the wrap so the middle parts were a little bland.

I was made to feel like it was my fault and was informed there would now be a delivery charge. No apology etc... Why would I select delivery and enter an address for a pick up? Once again, I’ve forgotten to take a photo before eating what I’m going to review haha! I had the Asian mango wings, 1/2 lb. chicken tenders with the sides of creamy slaw, dinner bun (with gravy?), and mac n cheese with bacon crumbles. I ate the dinner bun first and dipped it in the gravy side. It was an interesting combination and was slightly spicy, I’m not sure I was supposed to dip it or not, but it seemed to be the right thing to do. Their slaw was creamy at first, but it may have lost its flavor after I had my chicken. The Mac and cheese lacked cheese, but somehow still tasted like cheese-I know, it sounds like a conundrum! I had the bacon bits added on top because I saw it on their website-it wasn’t really worth the extra buck and quarter. For my drink I ordered a chocolate milkshake-for 2 reasons: in case the sauces were fire breathers and well, I like ice cream of all sorts. The milk shake was well balanced and excellent. I would recommend trying to get it a little bit more creamy and serve it in a foam cup during the summer because it truly keeps it cold. I had 5-6 wings in the Asian Mango sauce and 3 tenders in the Vermont Honey BBQ. The wings were served with blue cheese-perhaps the BEST blue cheese I’ve ever had! Not sure how to rate the tenders as I’ve never had them in such a qualitative state, so perhaps 5/5 stars? The Vermont honey BBQ had a nice kick to it, but not too much as to make you choke. The wings also had a delicious sauce, but I wish that the meat of the wings were a bit more juicy on the inside, although they were not dry, so I’d have to give them a 4/5. The customer service here is excellent. They were friendly and accommodating. In the atmosphere of their small diner they played country on the radio. Although I’m not a fan of country, country music goes well with the type of food being served. I would come here again to try more of their meaty menu...and another shake : D

Wow! So good! I was really impressed with my food here. The ranch dressing is FANTASTIC! It has a lot of dill flavor which complements the Hot Buffalo sauce super well. The wings are juicy and the Hot Buffalo sauce has a really solid kick to it. I also had a chicken ceasar wrap which was super super yummy! The dressing was strong enough that although I forgot to ask for extra, it turned out that I didn't need extra. And the chicken was extremely flavorful and juicy. Definitely the best chicken ceasar wrap I've had around here! Service was super friendly and they had a nice standard selection of local beers at good prices!

Chuck's is fantastic. I order carryout from this place at least two or three times a week. The food is always hot and delicious. The portion size is quite large too, which is perfect for me. My favorite things on the menu include the half chicken dinner, chicken tenders, grilled chicken tenders, wings, and Charlie's club chicken sandwich. The sauces they offer for their wings and tenders are great too - love the garlic buffalo.

I've been a customer at this restaurant for many years. The food is always perfectly prepared and served hot. They have the best roasted chicken and chicken wings in the area. Their fries dipped in their gravy are debaucherous and so good. Salads are fresh and big. Montreal slaw is highly addictive. Burgers and ribs are solid. Why wouldn't you eat here?

I typically order for delivery, and they are always on time and some of the best delivery staff that I have encountered. Price is very fair with a solid value for what you get. A great choice for a quick meal. I highly recommend the sandwiches, of which there is a fantastic selection, and the Montreal style slaw. One of my favorite places to get food from in town.

Decent chicken for the area. Or at least a monopoly on it. Tell me where else you're going to get fried chicken around here? KFC or Popeyes? The sides are generally horrible though, and taste like they were made a week ago and then microwaved to order (has anyone ever received non-congealed mac and cheese?). At least chicken is decent. Phone orders are hit or miss. Either someone professional or someone too stoned to take an address or remember what's on their menu (asking if they just stopped carrying something will usually jar them into looking it up). Delivery is a whole other story. I think they're cycling through too many drivers with too many orders at once. Confused drivers bringing luke-warm and soggy food is an unfortunate regular occurrence regardless of time or day of week.

Food was good. Called my order in for 11:45. For some reason they thought I had said 1:45, so I had to wait 15 minutes for my order. Defeated the whole point of calling it in.

My favorite chicken spot. Been a fan of their chicken for quite some time, whether rotisserie or fried. Food is consistently good and the Montreal slaw is really excellent. Prices are a little high but you do get what you pay for in this case. Give them a try.

Horrible service. They've messed up my order a few and one time the food was uncooked. I was promised on my next order they would have made it up by giving a free whatever I ordered. On my next visit I told the young lady at the cash register and she TOTALLY IGNORED ME! NOT even acknowledging what I said just the old silence treatment. Let's just say I'll never order anything from that place again.
