I'm still pretty confused about their website having an "order online" menu for takeout that doesn't actually work. And mind you...you don't find this out until you actually order everyrhing and can't find the "order now" button they speak of. I like the food (sides are terrible) but everything else is super lacking.

Agave is great, bottom line. They have fresh food, good service, and free cotton candy! I’m so confused why people are complaining about the prices in here... surely it’s not chain-restaurant pricing, but the quality of the food surpasses anything in this area. Great ambiance, too. If you’re a picky eater, they totally customize things as well. Overall a great eat and a great experience!

Eh.. I've tried to love agave, I really have. The food just isn't what I call great. Mind you, that's my opinion and I feel that northern Vermont in general cannot do ethnic food well. This is no exception to that rule. The atmosphere is cool, the wait staff is nice, but the food is bland. Its a quick stop before a movie, but that's about it. Give them a shot, maybe I'm just picky :)

Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Agave tries for something more trendy. Chips and salsa are "extra" so that tells you right away you're in a restaurant that's trying too hard to be "a cut above." We just wanted a nice margarita and some nachos after our movie, but what we got was something more akin to soup, and very positive there was no actual cheese in the queso. Oh, and you also have to pay for salsa (doesn't come with nachos? Seriously?). Margaritas were good, though.

Fun ambiance and nice service, but a lot of work needed in the kitchen. It tasted like the only seasoning they had back there was salt. We tried several dishes, and I had three different a la carte tacos, and there was just no flavor to any of them. Blah. A little cumin, garlic and variety of typical peppers would go a long way here! Even one of the "special" margaritas was bland.

Locally owned. A great option for individuals, up to large groups, who want Mexican food in Williston. Ample parking nearby. Full bar, brunch on Sunday, inventive tacos, friendly staff, and you can usually find a seat without a wait. Best of all, they are on the Localvore Passport app so I saved $$ while supporting a local business.

My husband optimistically describes this place as “having lots of... potential.” I ordered tacos with a side salad and cornbread. My husband ordered tacos with cornbread and Spanish rice. The chips and guacamole to start were great. The cornbread, ground beef, and barbacoa tacos were DELICIOUS. The chicken tacos were so-so, the Spanish rice was dry, and the side salad greens were old and slimy. We had to ask our server for napkins, then ask additionally for silverware. However, there was no wait for Sunday brunch, the atmosphere was quiet and the service was quick.

A below average restaurant experience. Water came with no ice. Food was luke warm. Stale tortillas reheated. Fried food was undercooked, raw batter inside. Waiter wasn't personable, bear minimum courtesy. I wouldn't be excited to go back.

I have been here twice now. First time was solid and the second time was really disappointing. Our server Nate was great. I showed up on a Monday night with my family of 4. I was told we would need to wait 10-15 for a table but there was a table for 6 available. The hostess was going to let us leave rather than offer us the table when I had to ask twice before she would seat us there. I don't know what is going on in this young ladies life but on that night it would not be the face I would put out front of my business. The steak fajitas I had were soaked in a odd syrupy sauce that was not great, though my wife enjoyed her salad. Also, I was disappointed that their shuffle board table was nearly devoid of sand and very nearly unplayable. Either keep it up or get rid of it. Nate is the only reason they got three stars, otherwise it would have been a two.

Seems like they're stepping up their game if I'm comparing my experience with previous comments. They now offer Taco Tuesdays for $3 tacos and the portions and quality were great! It's a little slow, but when I saw the food it was worth it. They don't skimp on their tacos, and the sauce combinations are great. The February specials also looked awesome. I would recommend taking advantage of their special offers for a better price.

Pricey and small.portions, limited menu but creative food, tasty, and fun artwork and decor. Check came with origami crane and blue cotton candy! Cute detail if not Mexican. Think California not Mexico and you will probably enjoy it here. $9 avocado toast appetizer. As a vegetarian there were a couple taco or burrito options, salads and some appetizers.

I grew up eating Mexican food and this place was a giant disappointment. They somehow managed to make hot sauce, salsa, and Queso bland and flavorless. All the food had no real strong flavor and was just covered up by sweetness. The salsa tasted like liquid sugar. Staff was friendly and nice. Overall most likely never to return.

We googled Mexican and this restaurant came up. It was a very clean restaurant including the bathrooms. The service was excellent and the food was to die for. We had a 3 taco plate with rice and beans our appetizer was their Nachos and they were the best we have ever had. We had 3 Margaritas that were very good and strong no skimping here. I told our waiter the only thing that would make our visit better was fried ice cream he told me they had that so I ordered it and it was huge as well as very tasty. The whole meal was about $50, I highly recommend this place and even the manager Jamie stopped by to ask us how everything was. Truly a place to come back too. Which we will !!!!

Really enjoyed our first visit here. Felt the value of the food and drinks were pretty standard "market price". Food and drinks were tasty. Is it authentic Mexican food? No but it's solid Cali style Mexican especially for being in Vermont. Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back and are excited to have a place to get tacos that doesn't involve us having to deal with Burlington parking.

Have gone on multiple taco Tuesdays when all tacos are just 3 dollars. They have a lot of taco options, some of my personal favorites being the Baja shrimp tacos and the pork belly tacos. Plus they have a cotton candy machine, what's not to love.

I'm right in the middle... Food just just ok for me although some things were good some weren't. One of those situations where you can go and order a few items and a couple will be good and a couple your money wasn't so well spent in my opinion.

Pretty good! I ordered battered shrimp and battered fish tacos, which ended up being a lot for me, and and the aioli on both was quite heavily applied. Will probably only get one taco in the future and get the aioli or sauce on the side. The queso is decent, not spicy, gonna take that home. I'm here on Cinco di Mayo and there's a guitar guy playing on the patio and a bunch of people hanging out and enjoying the warm weather, a margarita, and the jangle of a singer/songwriter.

Great waitress, mediocre drinks, horrendous food. Drinks were ok. Entrees - chimichangas, tacos and enchiladas: Bland, soggy, and sloppy presentation. This isn't Mexican or even tex-mex... it's mierda. Dessert - Churros: had to be sent back twice because the dough was completely raw. There are far better options in the area than this place - costco has better churros.

Had a good night out with my girlfriend here. Lots of tequila options, reasonably priced drinks and the food was delicious. The plan was to get a quick bite before heading over to Majestic but we ended up just hanging out at the bar. The bar, btw, has some pretty cool steel work hanging above it. The food was incredibly good, and the drinks were awesome. I had a raspberry watermelon drink which was amazing, and a buffalo chicken and Bleu cheese quesadilla which was phenomenal. The server I had was friendly and nice. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We love the new decor and menu! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, fish tacos and pork belly tacos. My faves were the chips and salsas and shrimp tacos. The fried ice cream was good but not as good as Mexicali’s. Our server Chris was great and we remembered him right away from Mexicali Grill. Next time we’ll try dining outside and margaritas! So happy you’re there!

First visit was amazing, went back expecting the same but every plate on the table had an issue including a mix-up where my vegetarian guests were both served meat dishes and my Chile Relano were prepared (and served) blown open, full of fry oil with no batter. How this made it to a plate and past the expiditer escapes me. The manager took the time to come over and apologize, and hand out 20$ in meal vouchers, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be coming back for more. I'm giving them three stars instead of 1 star because of my previous experience and the attentive and professional front of house staff.

I absolutely loved it here. The decor is lovely, our server was fantastic, our food was amazing and drinks were delicious. I guess I can understand if you're looking for authentic Mexican and didn't get that experience here but, it is Vermont and all... regardless of those other unhappy reviewers, I enjoyed every bit of this place and cannot wait to go back. Next time I hope to get in on some of that apparently "on the house" cotton candy though. Just be sure to check out the menu on the website before going in if you're not into "different" twists on Mexican cuisine.

Our visit started out with a prompt and very friendly host; that was the end of our positive experience. Six tables had to ask for napkins and silverware, some after their main entrees were served! The chips were served dripping with oil (again, no napkins). The tacos (soft) were so small that one could not pick them up without the filling spilling out. Each of the tacos, all different, tasted about the same. We couldn't wait to get away from there. Too bad, the decor was beautiful and the host friendly....

Great little Mexican fusion place in Williston. Prices are nice for what you get, and the portions are very filling. I'd recommend the salsa trio, as they swap out one of the salsas on a regular basis.

We enjoyed the food here. Fresh and tasty. Good service and clean location. We had a party of 8 and that can be a bit of a challenge here unless you can do high top tables. A bit challenging with an 18 month old but worked out.

The food was beautifully presented, and the employees were helpful and enthusiastic. However, the meal itself was like someone had seen pictures of Mexican food, but had never tasted it. The carnitas were extremely dry, the Verde sauce was overly acidic and sour, as though the tomatillos were under-ripe and doused with vinegar. Most strangely, the green chilli cornbread was served with a cloyingly sweet cinnamon sugar butter that was closer to frosting. The carne asada was actually quite good, but was ruined by being covered in terrible Verde sauce. Very disappointing meal that was a new low in already poor "Vermexican" food.

After watching movie at Majestic, we were really hungry when we thought of giving this place a try. It's at the back side of Best Buy in Maple Tree Place. Cozy, clean and modern ambience. The staff was courteous and they were kind enough to customize the bowl order because I'm a vegetarian and there were limited options for me. For drinks, I had Strawberry Basil Lemonade which was good but a lil too sweet for my taste. Once we were done with food, our server informed us about the complimentary cotton candy :) Yaayy .... It was just melt in mouth !

Delicious food, great service. If you order a flight of mimosas it's amazing but be prepared for a lot of mimosas! We had to walk around the plaza for a while before our buzz was gone! Again, delicious food.

Service and timing of when they bring out the food is inconsistent. We got ceviche and it was good but they served it out of a glass and would have preferred it in a bowl. Drink specials are hit or miss.
