Great, friendly service and amazing food! Tin Riof has a great atmosphere and isn't loud even when it's busy. The cheesecake here is to die for. Our waitress told us the blueberry sour cream is the best flavor ever and she was right. Definitely coming back for another slice!

The food is consistently good. The service is prompt and friendly. A varied menu with something good for every palate. Patrons are asking"so, what was that?" as food being served "passes by" I have never wanted to order meatloaf in a restaurant, but theirs looks so gourmet! I may just have to order that next time.

The food here is very good. The place is small, but it has a very cozy, comfortable atmosphere. I docked two stars, because the service is poor. I had to wait 25 min AFTER I was done eating for my waiter to acknowledge my existence, and get my bill. He seemed to take care of other tables frequently, and pass me by time after time without acknowledgment. It made me feel like I didn't matter because I was dining alone that night. I'll be back again I think, but I'll take my order to go.

Stopped by for Mother's Day Brunch. Everyone had a nice meal. I did not like my shrimp scampi pasta. It was a bowl of olive oil topped with cheese. I had a difficult time eating it. The shrimp had good flavor and none of those went to waste. Will come again but will order something else.

Food was poor in quality. I went with a group of three people and we all got dishes with stale bread and dry food. Their biscuits and gravy had a weird spicy orange gravy. The barbecue sauce tasted like a spicy ketchup. Overall, not a great experience.

This is the first time we’ve gone here and likely the only time. We didn’t get the pizza which other commenters seem to rave about. The food we had was basic and bland. We hoped a slice of cheesecake would perk us up, but that was a major letdown too. It was dry and a little like rubber.

Not sure if they just had an off night, but it was very disappointing. The bacon on the BLT was close to bacon jerky; tough as leather and inedible. Steak on the white bean pizza was the same. My guess is the bacon and steak were cooked earlier and just put under a heat lamp. It never should have been plated, let alone served. Speaking of the white bean pizza, the menu lists red onion as a topping. However, there was so much red onion on this pizza that we only ate a slice because it was so over powering, and it was the only flavor you could taste. Friendly staff, but I don't see us going back.

Very good food, we were not thrilled with the service, and the kitchen was pretty slow, but overall it's still a nice place with good food. The croquettes are awesome, we got buffalo chicken and they were the highlight.

Every birthday and christmas i ask for my gift cards to my place. I no longer live near by, but when I am around sandy and have my gift cards on me....somehow i always find myself sitting at a table. Friendly staff, awesome owner. a variety of different types of foods that are all good.

Our first time visiting The Tin Roof was an amazing experience! We came down from Wyoming for date night and to try something new. I had the Shimp $ Bacon Mac n’ Cheese and Micheal had the Salmon fish and chips. We shared a bottle yummy Moscato and a Raspberry Key Lime Cheesecake Definitely a do over! Our server was Kimm who was so professional she anticipated our needs and provided without being asked. The Tin Roof has a fun environment with delicious food that was better then the great reviews! Very Happy!

I was skeptical when I saw the microwave from where I was sitting, but luckily I did not see them use it the hour that I was there. The food was cooked well but a little bland. The soup of the day was fresh and delicious and the lettuce wraps we're pretty good. Overall a better food spot than most others in this area. I will for sure be back to try their brunch menu and desert menu.

We came to the Tin Roof Grill to celebrate my best friends birthday. Everything we ate here was delicious. The cheesecake was good, but the creme brûlée was AMAZING. There is citrus in it that made it just so unique and different. Also the pasta we had was really creamy and rich with shrimp and bacon in it

Just finished the Raspberry Charlotte cheesecake and I really enjoyed it. The staff were great and very accommodating with special requests. We enjoyed the entrees and I highly recommend the fries (steak fries but they were nice and crispy). I saw some great looking entrees go past to other tables and I have to come back to try them too.

Tin roof grill is amazing! We had the pizza and the crust was perfect. Now depending on how you like a pizza will determine if you're going to like this pizza, but this crust wasa thin pita bread type cooked right on a stone. Crunchy outside but chewy all around making it so it didn't soak up all the sauce and become soggy but the cheese could stick to it around the edges making perfect seal. And the cheesecake! Rich creamy, just perfect. Just make sure you bring your wallet cuz $18 a plate and $6 a desert will start to add up.

We live nearby, and REALLY wanted to like this place. After 3 visits, I can heartily recommend the desserts, but we won't be going back for food again. The Alfredo was very runny and bland. The marinara had decent flavor but was watery. The croutons on the salad was a very strange texture and flavor. Desserts are great, but I'd recommend going just for that.

Even on a busy night the service was fast and the food was delicious. I got the Pesto Chicken sandwich and it was cooked to perfection. The Pesto sauce was amazing. My girlfriends and I love coming here.

Honestly it’s 4.5 stars. The atmosphere is friendly and I love that you get to seat yourself. They even have seating outside so it’s perfect for the evenings. The service is always good and the food is delicious. It’s average price maybe a bit higher but worth it. It’s my go to for yum. The drink menu is pretty good too.

I went out with my in-laws and Glade was our server and he was both pleasant and helpful. He offered suggestions, and when we had a problem with some of our food, he was quick to fix it. This is a great place to visit if you want to try something a little less mainstream. The White bean and steak pizza was fantastic and the corn chowder was a table favorite.

We arrived and decided to eat on the patio as there were a number of big parties in the main restaurant. There were two other small parties on the patio as well. Service was extremely slow. One server was more concerned about clearing tables and arguing with another server than taking our order. When we had a server she was pre-occupied and having words with the other server. Our server was MIA and we did not see her for the rest of the evening. We sat for 20 minutes to pay our bill. Not sure we will be back with the lack of concern and service

I loved the food! However... I am worried their cooks aren't current with food handlers permits because I watched one of the pick up raw fish and put it on the grill, then pick up a raw hamburger and put it on the grill, then using the same bare hand that was full of cross contaminated meats pick up the top of someones hamburger bun and slide the plate out for the waitress to take to the table. He was not wiping his hand on anything other than his very dirty apron. It was a work treat and I ate free so I can't complain but that would keep me from ever coming back. The food was good but it's not worth getting sick over.

Come for the cheesecake, stay for everything else. I have not been disappointed with anything here yet. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is misleading. Setup like an old greasy spoon but the food is fantastic. Make sure to leave some room for the blueberry sour cream cheesecake. The key lime is good too. And so are others. Just get one of each and decide for yourself.

If you ever hear bad things about this place, it may have just been about the restaurants it used to be a while ago. This place is much better and has an amazing little vibe to it. I am mad at myself for not going here sooner but I'm glad I finally went. Great food, great place, great staff!

I've been here a couple of times for dinner. During peak hours it is definitely noisy. Food is slightly above your regular diner fare quality, but for the price point I don't find it particularly special. I feel that there's a pretty strong scene for gastropub and new American food in SLC that outshines this establishment. I do enjoy their drink menu, however, and their cheesecakes are killer.

This is our first trip to Tin Roof Grill. Friday night and it was very busy. We had to wait about 10 minutes which wasn't bad considering. We ordered the Fish & Chips and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the entrees. Very fast from ordering to our table. The Haddock was a complete 1 sided Filet and was cooked Golden Brown, very delicious. Great experience and we will return.

Really good food. I enjoyed the restaurant but my wife couldn't find anything on the menu she could eat. A vegan option would be nice. She gets sick when she eats white flour, white rice, or dairy.

We decided to try something new tonight and went to Tin Roof Grill for the first time. It was very busy but we still got right in and all five of us in our party got something different and after being served quickly, we all enjoyed sharing and trying each others delicious food choices. Despite being crowded, our waitress, Alexis, was attentive, friendly and recommended some fantastic menu items. Our overall experience was definitely 5 stars and we'll be back!

Husband loved the fish and chips, sister had salmon said it was awesome..I had roast beef loved the sauce and pitatoes but the roast was dry in parts and tough.
