REVIEWS OF Tadka Cuisine of India IN Utah

Sierra Aranda

I don't particularly like Indian food AND I'm a vegetarian but I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the options were. It tasted authentic and I felt I got full for the money we spent. Would definitely come again

Sarah Bell

Good food!,sad I got sick..but nothing to do with the food.

Carlan Smith

Awesome Indian food.

Matris48

The staff was friendly, the food was so authentic and amazing! We'll definitely go back and take others. If you love real Indian food, you will LOVE Tadka!

Carli Balogh

Very good, fresh and flavorful Indian food, and very friendly service. I didn’t expect much because it’s in a small town, and was very pleasantly surprised! I’ll be returning.

Brady Ericksen

Amazing food and well worth the price. The staff and owners are friendly and want you to have a great experience. Best Indian food I've had in Utah.

Cameron Wilkinson

Tadka is awesome! Food is excellent, service is amazing and they are so friendly. Nothing but good to say about this place.

Jaisha Sego

I am highly disappointed. When I was younger I would come to Tadka with my parents and I loved the food! I visited as an adult and did not get the same service. From the moment we walked in, I felt like they did not want us there. When we were seated, it took them 20+ min to come take our order even though there was only 2 other people in the restaurant. The food was still decent but over all it was just not a great visit.

Ethan Miller

I love the food. Whether it is fresh or day-after left overs, always good.

Jerem SCHUSTER

This is our favorite date night location. The food is great and the service is pretty awesome.

Jesse Carrillo

We LOVE Tadka. The owners are so friendly and the food is amazing. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Makenzie Candland

We tried this place for the first time last week, and everything was so awesome. Best indian food I’ve had. It’s family owned, and the staff was so kind and patient with our 2 little kids. Food was AMAZING! Butter chicken is our favorite. We came back again tonight, and ordered the assorted snacks (pakora, and samosa), and the paneer pakora was SO GOOD!!!!! Service was fast, and Sandeek made us feel important and taken care of.

Tammy H

Love this local place! Staff and owners are great ! Food excellent! Love the lamb Curry but have tried other items on recommendation and really enjoyed!!!

Cynthia Scott

Excellent food and service. Highly recommend!

Stephanie Cooper

The food at Tadka is delicious and so good for the soul! The ambiance is incredible and the service is wonderful. Sandeep and Ginni have made a magical place- a little piece of India for us all to relish! We will be going back often!

pedro vargas

The workers are nice and the food is excellent.

Mukesh Jethwani

Found this Indian Restaurant by mistake. We dropped there and loved it. Best authentic Indian Food (coming from an Indian) and great customer service

Kyle Payne

Great price for food this good! We love coming here. The buffet never disappoints, and the entrees are incredible. Also, try the assorted snacks appetizer. You won't regret it

H. Clarence Bentley

Very good food! Great service too. I am a bit confused why they ask gratuity instead of tips. Better hand the waitresses your tip personally to make sure they get it

Travis Thomas

Always great. Very nice people. Great food. A great alternative to the 11 Mexican food restaurants in Payson

Aaron Green

It was the best Indian food I've ever eaten!!

Derrick Stoebe

Oh my gosh! Tadka is my new favorite restaurant! Went for date night with my wife and started by sharing the Tadka Snacks App....so good! You get a sampler of most of the appetizer options and it is the best way to start your meal. We then shared the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Curry (ordered both on the spicy side) and they were both so fresh and flavorful! Added a side order of Rosemary Naan to finish it off and it was a hearty, delicious, flavorful great experience. Will be returning again and again!!

Spencer Baum

Lamb was awesome, chicken was good, pineapple shrimp was bad. Service was great.place was clean.

Jenniferlita Weber

They took good care of us. The veganized all our food and made requested changes. Food taste awesome. Place is sweet and clean. We are always happy to order here!

Casey Wilson

We came and tried the buffet today. The selection was slightly smaller than a standard Indian buffet, but the quality was quite good. I was very impressed with the chicken dishes in particular, along with great sauces, the chicken was cooked and seasoned expertly. I docked one star for service. My wife wanted to order off menu instead of buffet, but was told when she tried to order that "you can't order yet, I'm going to fill the water cups on that table first." So after waiting a couple minutes for the waitress to return, she gave up and got the buffet. Also docked one star because she charged our 2 year old a "discounted" buffet rate... He's 2! I don't think the couple spoonfuls of rice and soup should have been charged at all considering we already spent $12 each as adults. We will try them again and adjust the rating if the service improves.

Robert Aitken

This place has a great assortment of Indian cuisine! One plus is there lunch buffet less choices but still amazing flavors! My 18 month old loves the lamb curry and any vindaloo!! Butter chicken is also top notch go and enjoy

aygd Hf

Great food and service.

A. Mckay

The Food is amazing! I personally don't care about anything other than that fact. My favorite dishes are the Butter chicken, paneer masala, lamb saag, chicken coconut kurma. It's a tiny family owned business and I hope their business only grows. I won't stop supporting their business. The food's too good. If you're adventurous there's even more great items to try, I hope we'll eventually try them all. But it's hard not to get those fave items. My mom loves the chicken pakora too, I like the vegetable pakora more. And the chutney they come with!

Emily Bartholomew

You know those restaurants where you love the food so much that you’re willing to put up with less than stellar customer service? I’d consider this to be one of those places. The food was so good and the lunch buffet was well worth the price in my opinion. But the waitresses are inattentive (they didn’t even ask us if we wanted to order anything other than water) and can be pretty rude if you accidentally spill something (we learned that the hard way). Anyway I give the food 5 stars, but the customer service is more like a 3.

Ashlee Bierer

Tadka is freaking amazing!! I could eat here everyday! The service is incredible and the food is even better! My favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala or the Butter Chicken. Oh yummy in my tummy!!

Kirsten Paustenbaugh

Absolutely love this place! We have them on speed dial for takeaway! Have yet to try a dish from here that I do not love!

Melina Ylinen

We love this food!!! We get the butter chicken and some Nann (tasty Indian bread, great for dipping in your Curry). The restaurant has a great feel of authentic India. It's a great place for a romantic dinner. The food is great for sitting in or ordering take out. They serve alchoholic drinks to make a cheers with your dinner. A great family-owned establishment.

Mark

Fabulous food. The owner suggested dishes, including coconut chicken and better chicken , and our group of 4 of us loved the selections. We all agreed we are coming back.

Allison Roberts

Best restaurant in Payson and they're so nice here!

J Stanley

Super tasty

Mawla Boaks

Great food. Will go back again.

Jedidiah Kane

Not like Bombay House. Locals kept comparing this restaurant to Bombay House in Provo- I even heard a patron saying to the waitress behind me that "the food here is just as good as Bombay House but cheaper!!" This is completely inaccurate. It's like saying Olive Garden is authentic Italian or McDonald's is just like a gourmet burger. If people like it, you might like it too (I'm not judging) but if you're looking for Bombay House quality Indian food, this is not the place for you.

Sidnee Killian

Service is great, food is DELICIOUS! What ever the occasion they can accommodate. They're always happy to see you.

Jeff Yates

It took a while getting our food out to us. The wait was worth it.The food was very good.

Kimberly Smith

Love this place, all of their food is amazing. Last time we were there, we decided to try two completely unfamiliar dishes (Chicken Saag & Chicken Madras) and they are now our new favorites! Highly recommended.

Raymond Salley

If you like Indian food then this is the place for you. This is a real gem in a small town. Nice and cozy, great food and great service. I have eaten Indian food in many places and this was some of the best that I've had. A must try if you like Indian food or trying a new adventure for the first time. The great state will walk you through the menu. Don't be afraid... You can order just about everything in the spice levels. Give it a try.

Gabrielle Ray

Favorite Indian Restaurant. I like the value of this place. Delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend trying the Taj Mahal beer with your meal. Wonderful and friendly customer service. Always been taken care of right away with every visit. My favorite dish is the butter chicken. Even my picky little boy loves it here!

Lauren Webster

Fabulous authentic food, nice quiet clean cozy atmosphere, and super friendly staff. The waiter (owner?) explained the food to us and gave us recommendations based on our likes & previous experience with Indian cuisine. It was delicious and we will be back! Super impressed!

toxXavior

Excellent indian food. We got plenty of food and the price was decent for what we got.

John Wollenzien

Need some curry in a hurry? No worries! This place is delicious and it's never so busy that you can't get a seat. Prices are fair and the service is great.

Shooting Utah

I've been a customer since they opened and have never been disappointed! Great food and service. The owners are super nice!

Janna Paul

The service was fabulous! Great interacting with the Manager and staff. The food was presented in a wonderful fashion. And tasted as great as in the way it was arranged. Loved the big elephant in the entrance. All the way around it was a super experience.

Chad Bangerter

My wife and I really enjoy going here. It is probably the best restaurant in Payson. The staff is always friendly, and everything I have ordered there is tasty. Eating here will almost let you forget that you are in a small town that has a terrible dearth of good food.

C Hinton

Very unprofessional staff and one especially rude waitress. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and when I walked up to the counter to ask if we needed to be on a wait list or something the lady rudely told me that she is trying to figure something else out and she would deal with us after. We sat at our table for over 1 hour and still hadn’t gotten our food. Everyone that sat after us ordered and got there food before us. We walked out after waiting over an hour at our table for our food. We used to love this restaurant and we won’t ever come back.

Olivia Stevens

We LOVE Tadka. Every dish we have ordered is so flavorful. The staff is quick and so friendly. Definitely a favorite!

Vanessa

Definitely a new experience than everyday American life. I highly recommend it! It's clean, and very good service.

Jo Buit

Great, friendly service and absolutely awesome food! This is our new favorite restaurant!

phillip wassom

People need to learn how to handle your food. Servers hands where touching the food when serving it and also when they refill your water by grabbing the top of your glass. Nasty.

Jacob Warner

Excellent food with even better service. Very fun atmosphere and great variety. If you like Indian food this is definitely the place to go. If you don't like Indian food this is definitely the place to go to change your mind.

Taylor Wiscombe

This is our go to for Indian food in the area! The staff is amazing and the food is awesome! Definitely recommend Tadka

Joy McCulloch

I liked the lunch buffet. The food here is almost as good as Bombay House.

Janelle Cluff

An unexpected gem in such a small town. Fantastic, delicious food! We had the Rogan Josh and the chef special with some naan. If you like Indian food, I definitely recommend the drive to Payson to visit Tadka.

Michael Underwood

Fantastic! Savory! Tasty! Satisfying! Just a few words I think of when I think of Tadka Cuisine of India! One of my most favorite places to eat. The ambiance is great, and the staff is friendly. Thank you for bringing this gem to southern Utah County.

Jenny Morgan

Went to the lunch buffet and loved what I ate. My only complaint is the small selection for the buffet. I feel like they have room to expand and offer more selections. From what they did have though, I was very pleased. The tiki Marsala was my favorite. The Nan is garlic and I wish they had the option of plain as well. I'm still happy with my experience though and will return in the future.

Dave Wilkinson

Great food! Very underrated!

John Rodriguez

Enjoyed the tandoori chicken. Came to the table sizzling hot. Lots of flavor and everything was very fresh.

Greg Foy

To delicious food, Pleasant environment, lunchtime Buffet, overall an amazing experience

Hester Elaine Engle

Good food good service.

Etienne Beaulac

Very good people, they welcomed us warmly (we were 6 + newborn) and we asked for a picture and they tried really hard to take a good one. Good price, good food. Buffet is totally worth it, especially if you like curry and Tikka Masala.

K S23

Our favorite restaurant in Payson ! Excellent costumer service in the restaurant and wonderful take out experiences every single time. Definitely recommend!!!

Seth Walker

Very nice. And good food

Iliana Aquino

I recently visited this restaurant with friends. We placed a couple of orders of the chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori, the chicken coconut curry and the naan bread. The rice that came with the dishes had herbs and a bit more oil but it still tasted good. I loved the chicken tikka masala, the chicken tandoori was a little dry for my taste. I only had a bit of the chicken coconut curry because I kept eating the chicken tikka masala. All the dishes were very flavorful and you could taste the amazing spices found in Indian cuisine. The manager that helped serve our table was very friendly and kept asking us if we were enjoying the food. The person serving our drinks forgot to check on our table to see if we needed water, we had to ask her to bring us water at the end. Overall, the food was delicious and the price was reasonable in comparison to the other two Indian restaurants I have visited in Utah County. The atmosphere, the staff and the food made our outing enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back again.

Scott Price

Sultry spices and amazing service close to home! Let's face facts: Outside of major cities it can be difficult to find proper Indian cuisine. So I was pleasantly surprised to find Tadka was so close to home here in southern utah county. I went the attitude of, "Beggars can't be choosers." because hey, *any* curry is better than no curry, right? Well choose I did, and it wasn't easy. Tadka's menu is impressive, edging out regional competitors in options by about 10-20%, some of which I'm sure were their own design. I chose the Rogan Josh (accompanied with the optional basmati rice) because it's a tricky dish to get right and it would give me a good idea of the restaurant's skills. They offer a heat scale of 1-10, not "mild, medium or hot" as most Indian restaurants do. I liked this because it seemed that they genuinely wanted to personalize your experience. I chose 7. For appetizers I went with samosas, chicken pakora and onion bhaji and for naan I chose the bullet chili. I then asked if they could make a bit of hot sauce for me. As brutal , *but* as tasty as they could make it. Again, this gives me an idea of their skill. Anyone can dump peppers in a blender and make me go into respiratory distress, but the hotter a sauce gets the more difficult it is to balance it with enjoyable flavor. They blew me away. The Rogan Josh was savory, earthy and not at all gritty. Mixed with the basmati it was magnificent. Tadka really nailed it with subtle nuances making it a familiar dish, but with a unique touch of their own design. The appetizers were bang on. Each item was Fried perfectly, the Bhaji was crisp on the outside and chewy delicious (especially with the tamarind chutney) samosas tasted like little comfort-food meals and the pakoras were tender and saturated with flavor. The bullet chili naan was amazing. It had a savory garden flavor with some heat followed by a beautiful buttery taste. Dipped in the Rogan Josh it was heavenly. Their hot sauce I asked for? Face melting and transcendental. If you're a heat fan, have them whip you up a batch. If you're traveling through Utah on I15 or live nearby just go. You'll be impressed.

Leslee Lundgren

Chicken Tiki Masala is AMAAZING!! So good. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that the naan bread wasn’t my fave. Other than that, my group got several entrees and they all were so good!!

Abby Cantrell

I liked it. Not too great. We got the buffet so I didn't look at the menu. But it was $11 for a buffet with literally only 8 different options of things to get and then some "salad" and our waitreess only checked on us once and it was because she was cleaning the table next to us and it was at the beginning of when we got our food. I didn't have any water for like 20 minutes. The food that they did have was very good. The mango rice pudding was awesome.

David Steinkuhler

Been three times now, love it!

Derek Lontine

I've had mixed experiences here, but overall, the food is tasty and that's what keeps us coming.

Jessica Mortensen

The best Indian Food in Utah! Sandeep is always welcoming and gives such great service! Highly recommend it!

Ashley Durffee

I was blown away at how good this place was. The best Indian food I've ever had!! The staff was friendly and quick to get our order out to us. I will be going again. So great to have good food in a small town!

Ty Johnson

Best Indian Food I've ever had! Very nice friendly staff and fantastic service. I came in after hours not knowing they were closed, and they kindly seated me and served me anyways. If you are reading this, I highly recommend Tadka!

Meg P

I love this place. It's a little loud at times, but it's one of those type of environments. The other patrons seem to be enjoying themselves and there's no need to keep the children hushed. The food and employees are fantastic.

David Dye

Super great food. Fun owners

Janine Ottley

YUMMY! When I'm craving something fantastic, I only have to drive down the street a mile or so in order to enjoy this hidden gem! It was one of the first places my husband and I went on a date when we moved here 2 years ago. The food is authentic, well made, seasoned perfectly, and the owner could not be more friendly and happy to see you. The buffet (a bad word in most cases when it comes to food) is actually delicious and we have enjoyed lunch there many times for business and for fun. Tadka also has the speediest takeaway that I've ever had! No matter what we order it seems, its ready in 10 minutes and we're always eating quality ingredients, you can certainly tell that. Would highly recommend to all!

Knocchio A

Pretty good Indian food. You'll find all the classics and not so classic dishes. Price to serving size ratio is about 20% too high. (You can get the price down via their frequent Groupon's. Must buy at least 24 hours in advance) Service is pleasant but routinely uninspired and slow. Decor is campy but oddly charming.

William Stocks

The buffet was delicious and affordable. This is the best Indian food I've had in the valley!

Brett Allen

Ok Indian, good service, outside looks a little sketchy but inside looks much better. For Utah and Utah County not bad. Almost gave it 4 but was shamed by an employee for bringing in my 1 year old daughter because she was well, a baby doing baby things. I always tip more when I bring kid or baby because their is going to be a little mess after.

Dell Brown

We stopped in here last Friday after the movies. It was late, but the chef took the time to cook up a nice meal for us. It was delicious. We are foodies and love Indian cuisine. The proprietor of Tadka was a chef at the Bombay House in Provo for many years. The food is delicious and the service was great. What a pleasant change to find good eats in the south end of the valley!

April Ashland

We had lamb Vindaloo, Malai kofta and the tadka snacks appetizer, as well as a mango lassi. The appetizers were delightful - we loved the vegetable pakoras the most but all were good. The main dishes were good, but not incredible. I asked for medium heat and couldn't even detect any in the kofta but the vindaloo had a little heat. It would be worth going during lunch buffet to try several different dishes instead of just one or two at dinner. Staff was friendly, didn't bug us while we ate, but were there when we needed them. It's really cute and cozy inside, I like the decor, it's fun.

jake wilhelmsen

Malai kofta was delicious and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

daniela flores

The best Indian food I’ve ever had. The chicken Tika masala is my go to. Good prices. Good service and nice atmosphere. Love it here and they serve beer! Yay

Bobbie Webb

I would give it 10 stars if I could! Amazing food! I've had Indian food in Manhattan and this is so much better!!!

cesar maradiaga

Food was excellent service was outstanding!

Ben Wilson

So delicious! Loved the tikka masala and butter chicken. Highly recommend.

Derek Blad

Awesome Chicken Tikka Masala!

Michael Aslanian

Friendly staff and very good food, I liked the butter chicken and naan a lot, the vegetable coconut curry, and the fried onion chickpea thing. Also was a really fair price

Samuel Bowcut

Best Indian food in Utah valley. Sandeep the owner is always right there welcoming you and they all work so hard to make sure you have the best experience possible. I would live here if he’d let me.

Jane Harlan

The food was good. I would say that Bombay House in Provo is definitely higher quality, and you get more for similar prices. My main complaint was the service. I am generally not a complainer, but the girl at the front desk had some attitude - she clearly did not care to be there. Any questions were met with choppy and curt answers. Our water glasses remained empty the entire meal unless we specifically asked for refills, and we finally had to take our bill up to the desk to pay. Even though at one point we were the only diners in the restaurant, we felt completely neglected by the waitstaff. To be fair, the other gal that actually served our food was kind and attentive. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. I would rather wait in line at Bombay for 45 minutes for slightly better food, and significantly better service.

Tushar Shah

Excellent Indian Food, Very friendly, Fast service . Good environment.

Megan Whatcott

Just went here tonight--ordered takeout actually. The staff was professional and very helpful. Everyone we spoke to was very nice. And the food was absolutely great! Love this place! Will definitely be eating here more often.

John Reid

Excellent food great atmosphere and really good people. Love the place

Davin Perkins

Solid place for good Indian food. We live in Spanish Fork, so the drive to here is only a few minutes. I admit that I like Bombay House in Provo a bit better, but this place is way more convenient for where we live and still really fantastic. I heard rumors that the chef here used to be the head chef for Bombay House. I don't know if that is true, but it seems plausible as there are some similarities. I think I liked the CUCUMBER RAITA here a little better, and the MUSHROOM CHICKEN was fantastic. We also got the CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA which was really good. The rice was delicious and the VEGETABLE PAKORA was great. As a whole, I would say all the food we tried here was a bit sweeter than at Bombay House which for us is a drawback but I recognize that many people might like that more. The food really is flavorful and delicious. One of the places where Tadka really shines is the interface for ordering on their website. I was caught off guard with how easy to place an order on their site and do takeout. One of the best I have seen. I am anxious to try their lunch buffet in the future, but overall Tadka has a very kind staff and excellent food and is totally worth coming back to again and again. We love everything we have ever eaten there. The service is so friendly and accommodating and we love the vegan and gluton free options.

Erika Rasmussen

Me and my boyfriend are big fans of Indian food and have been to a lot of Indian restaurants in Utah County and this is one of our favorites! We love the atmosphere and the service is great! Our favorite at the moment is the buttered chicken!! If you like Indian food this is a must try!

Gus German

Very delicious with excellent variety and friendly service. Can't wait to try the buffet. Well worth the drive from the freeway.

Thomas Leake

Loved the food. We had Rogan Josh and Shrimp Vindaloo. These meals had more depth of flavor than I have tasted from any other Indian restaurant. The vindaloo sauce was deep reed almost a burgandy and it carried a lot of great flavor. The Rogan Josh was even more amazing. Deep colors and lots of flavors. This food was also lighter than most Indian food I have had.

Irene C

Great food. Nice staff. Good find outside of civilization. Haha

Prabhu Pep

Service was good but taste of the food is not so good

Melissa Smith

Wonderful, personable service. We love the chicken tikka masala and the chicken coconut korma. So good!

Jason McWhorter

I had never tried Indian food prior to my first visit to Tadka. I was a skeptic, but now a believer! Fantastic and very filling meals. Can never finish an entire dish, but these dishes are some of the best reheated meals ever! Also love the people and atmosphere. Sandeep, the owner, is always incredibly friendly and very attentive. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

Allan Hallett

Perfect atmosphere, food and service. Menu has something for everyone. Drinks are delicious.

Doug Welton

Great food and environment! This place is a gem. Highly recommend!

Marie Remkes

Decided to check out this restaurant because of the awesome reviews. We were not disappointed. Food and Service were excellent; and great atmosphere. The owner (I think) came and visited with each table before they left. Nice people. Will definitely go back.

Kinz and Kate Reeves

I can't stop thinking about how amazing the food was here!

Erin Devenish

Best Indian food we've had in Utah! Excellent food, extensive menu, reasonable prices, and attentive, kind service. Well worth the drive to Payson!

Wigger Nuggets

Great people and service. Butter chicken is like... budda! Ask for medium on the spice at least, especially with cream sauced dishes. And the leftovers (if there are any) are just as good. My sisters-in-law's friend from Washington D.C. said it is as good as anything she has had there.

Ben Biesinger

Gluten free options galore. Dairy free and gluten free! So glad my wife and I found this place, I could not recommend Tadka more. Amazing food, seriously the best Indian food I've had (and I have been to quite a few places).

peter wayman

Really good authentic food. Their level of hot is actually pretty hot!

Melinda Claunch

Great selection of tasty vegan and gluten-free options.

Brian Johnson

It never disappoints! Just as good if not better than Bombay House. Fast and friendly service. Vegetable samosa are so good. Butter chicken is very good!

Eddie Rose

The dishes here are good with some distinction over other traditional Indian restaurants. Although the Chili Chicken isn't made like most restaurants, I liked the additional flavor and ingredients. The Korma had too much coconut, but was still decent. It wasn't crowded but the restaurant is popular and is a fresh addition to the cuisine of Utah County.

Dayna Sorensen

My favorite place in Payson. Always fast, friendly and flavorful food! Great options for vegans, vegitarians, people who dont eat beef or pork, those who dont consume dairy, or who cant have peanuts. Glutton free options in stead of naan. I love the rose milk and the mango lassie.

Aleasha Hancock

The best Indian food within 20 miles. The staff is so friendly and accommodating.

Brad Barrick

Great food and service!!

Becky H

Tadka is some of the best Indian food I’ve had in the U.S. The owner is awesome he always makes sure you’re happy. I’ve never tried anything I didn’t love but that Saag is my favorite. I’m a happy girl withTadka in my belly!!

Lynda Williams

Food is delicious and the family that owns it are charming and personable. I only wish they were open on Sundays! Payson does not have very many decent restaurants. It is so exciting to find one with good food and good people!

Kandace Hardee

Loved the coconut lamb, great flavor balance. Overall a lighter, silkier curry than the dense ones I’ve had before at other Indian restaurant.

Nancy Lee

Amazing! Super happy with our dinner. Chicken tikka masala and garlic naan.

Beverly Eister

This was my first experience with Indian food and I was pleasantly surprised. I did not think I would enjoy it but I found it a wonderful sensory experience. I would never cook with cinnimon or raisins in anything but a dessert but enjoyed all of it

Natalie Henderson

Love it everytime!!

Anna Elliott

The atmosphere was wonderful. The food was great overall. This is just a reminder to everyone to check your total amount. They had already added a 30 percent tip to our total amount and we ended paying an extra 20 percent tip. Learn from our lesson and double check your total amount no matter which restaurant you go to.

Erica Blair

Love the food!! Staff is great!

Ryan Burraston

Great Indian food and friendly service. I'll be back.

Kimberly Redd

Delicious food! Naan Bread and rice is the best! Chili chicken is fantastic!

Danielle Christianson

Food was really yummy, but we had to wait 45 minutes to get our food and all the tables around us arrived after us and got their food before us and were done eating by the time we got our food. We had to stop someone to remind them. It's not fun being forgotten. They offered us one free piece of naan on the house. Whooptie doo.. We saved $2.50. People were really nice, just probably won't be back.

Ryan Petersen

This place is great. Great food. Awesome service. Definitely recommend this place!

Gregory Devenport

Food is delicious! Staff is less than friendly.

Austin Hone

First time I’ve ever had Indian food...after this place it will NOT be the last. Great, friendly service. The staff informed us on what was popular and the heat level that would best fit our taste buds. The butter chicken was phenomenal! What a great experience and change from the normal weekend dinner. My wife and I will definitely be back!

Kiersten Nelthorpe

This is seriously the best Indian food I have EVER had (and I've had a lot in multiple states and countries). Absolutely delicious food and truly incredible service. My toddler started to get a bit fussy and they actually brought him a lollipop and an extra bendy straw to play with. They just noticed what was going on and immediately helped out. Overall, we had a lovely and pleasant experience. And we will most definitely be going back!

Jon Shupe

Really good food. Friendly and helpful staff.

Traci Watters

Great staff. Awesome staff

Queen V

I love the buffet. Great price for hot and fresh dishes.

Rachael Woolsey

I just ate at Tadka for the 5th time in 4 weeks. I cannot get enough! It is so good, I can't stay away! For lunch, they offer a buffet. I do not usually like buffets but I LOVE this one. The food is always fresh and warm. The presentation is consistently clean. Items ordered from the menu are equally yummy. There are too many great dishes to name them all. I encourage you to check it out if you're close or driving through (quick access from I-15). I've eaten at other Indian restaurants along the Wasatch Front and this is, by far, my favorite! Always delicious!!!! P.S. Not familiar with Indian food? The employees are super nice and very willing to help educate.

The Butter Chicken is for real. Great food, good price, wide selection. Definitely deserves all the positive reviews. Can't wait to come back for all you can eat buffet lunch!

What a surprise in Payson. I am not a fan of most curries, but have recently found I love coconut curry. Their tofu coconut was outstanding. My wife had the vegetable coconut karmu. She was just as pleased. On any occasion I am in Payson, Tadka has my business!

Best Indian food in Utah! The lamb saag is top notch. Great food and amazing service!

Service was slow and it took a long time to get our food. After we paid, one of the workers (an owner?) looked at our receipt and commented on the fact that we didn't tip 18%. He said that they show respect to us so we should show respect to them. I was shocked that, first, he would so blatantly grab our receipt to look at how much we tipped despite not being the one to cash us out and second, scold us for our tipping amount. We weren't satisfied with how long it took to get our food and our tip reflected that.

I truly hate leaving negative reviews- but sometimes they are necessary. My wife and I tried Tadka, and were extremely underwhelmed. If you like Indian food, there are vastly superior options in the area. When we arrived, our server assumed we were there for the buffet. While I generally steer clear of buffets, I thought that I should at least take a look at the spread before declining. The buffet was sparsely populated with very few options- and the main event included only two chicken options. That’s it- no other meat “entree” options at all. It was a hard pass. I requested regular menus for my wife and I. We received one menu to share. Ordered drinks- and were told that they were completely out of our requested lemons and limes- a staple of Indian cuisine. We ordered Shrimp coconut Kurma and Butter Chicken. Portions were small (and expensive for what it was) and insufficiently spiced. Shrimp were obviously frozen and small. Both dishes were bland and unexciting. Basmati rice was flavorless. Service was poor, we waited an excessive amount of time to order despite the place being near empty. Staff seemed more concerned with cleaning tables than serving customers. Wait staff never checked in to ask if we were happy with the meal, or to offer refills on beverages. We had high hopes for our trip to Tadka- it is much closer to home thank other Indian food restaurants and they have great hours of operation. After our visit, it is safe to say that we will not be back. I highly recommend sticking to a sure thing for Indian food. Just go to Bombay House in Provo. I’ll see you there.

Outstanding food, and great atmosphere. This is as authentic of Indian food as you will find anywhere. Love this place!
