It fit the needs for my husband. It was ok. The Chile Verde fries needed to be fried longer they turned to mush. The large combination was placed wrong the tostada was under the chile verse so it was soggy and lost. My husband wanted enchiladas so he was a happy camper.

Not impressed... we are from the South and have realized Mexican food out here is VERY different than back home, but we will not be coming back here. The soft chicken taco is just boiled chicken and melted cheddar cheese. No flavor at all. The chicken and cheese enchilada have no flavor either. The red sauce is covered with a mass amount of cheddar cheese and even looks nasty. We were hoping for some good Mexican food, but definitely disappointed.

Great food! Would give them five stars but last time we showed up we waited for quite a while after their opening time and they were still closed with no signs of life. Hopefully that was a fluke but we are rarely up that way anymore so I don't know. If it's close to opening time, call before going.

Granted. My review goes way back. I lived in West Valley City from 1987 to 1994 and this was my husband's and I favorite place to eat. We discovered it one day going home fro. A day of paying bills went in and fell in love with the service and great food. It was the one that had the cantina with it and would have dances on the weekend. When they put the one in West Valley, we were ecstatic. I really miss the food and it is on my bucket list to do before I die. LOVE IT!!!!! I highly recommend this place as my friend tells me it is still awesome food.

If your hours of operation says open until 9:00 pm on Sunday's they you should answer the phone at 8:30 pm for a take out. Instead you let the answering machine get it. I understand everyone wants to get out, cause im a server but its bad for business. I live two minutes away. You lost a great paying guest plus tipper. Ive noticed you do this a hour before you close. I know the owner very well and have never opened my mouth until now. Your hurting her business.

Smothered chile verde with pork burrito was very tasty...just as I expected. Ribs in a special spicey sauce were really good, meat tender & fell off the bone. Great rice and tortillas. Server attentive. Overall- great dining experience. Definitely will be back.

What has happened to you La Frontera? Service was poor. Took 45 minutes for food. Waitress was horrible. Food was not right. Salsa was off. Ordered a to go burrito before we receives are food. We waited and waited and finally asked the waitress where is it. She said "oh its been upfront for 20 minutes" on a seperate ticket. We decided to pass and left. Ive been coming here for 30 years. Not anymore.

I went with myself and enjoyed a smothered Chile Verde burrito topped with cheese. A Coke light ice AND their famous chips and salsa. It was all cooked to perfection. The chips were light and crispy, the salsa just right hot and my coke was delicious! The pieces of pork in the Chile was cooked perfectly and tender. The Chile Verde was exceptionally wonderful. I hey have really inexpensive lunch and dinner specials, come on out!

These places used to be great. Maybe they still are and my tastes have changed. But it seems like they have gone down in quality. The salsa isnt spicy at all. But maybe people like it better that way. Just seems like they are more concerned with the quantity of people served then the quality of there food. It is kinda of disappointing because there really aren't many places I know of that still had spicy good "mexican " food cheap. Hope it's better for you. I've tried 2 times. Going to hope for a better experience one more time. Maybe it was just a fluke. Crossing my fingers. **can only hope, right?**

Hello La Frontera, For two decades we frequently visited your store and others in the Salt Lake City area. We are great fans. When we moved to St. George we were pleased to see that La Frontera had opened a restaurant here. But unfortunately, the proprietors have not been good business people nor very committed to the restaurant. They have closed the store twice in the past five years. They say that they cannot find reliable cooks, but that is not true because there are dozens of Mexican restaurants in our area and all of them are doing just fine. I suspect that the La Frontera folks just didn’t want to pay enough to attract and good chef. Also, their wait staff was generally not very reliable (probably for the same reason). When they re-opened two years ago they put the store in an obscure corner of metropolitan area, not on restaurant row where nearly all other quality restaurants are located. The man was more interested in doing construction that running his restaurant. And the woman really didn’t want to be saddled with it. Hence, they have now closed the store again. My question is whether you folks intend on opening up a restaurant again in St. George. Surely there is somebody in the organization who would want such an opportunity. St. George is the fastest growing city in the state. We are great fans of your food and hope that you have not just abandoned St. George.

It was pretty good. I got spoiled going to my usual place. Will probably go again if out in that area. Kids really enjoyed there food which is a plus with 2 picky eaters. They got the hamburger and cheesebuger though.

It was my son's Birthday lunch, he chose La Frontera 3300 so. I have a very sensitive tongue so I asked the person who took our orders if the smothered Chileverde burrito was spicy & she said "NO" When we got it home, I took one bite & it burned my mouth. I called the resturant & spoke to Jose the manager & explained this to him & he said, "We have many Mexicans come in here & they never say its spicy." I told him ,"Ok, I'm not sure what that has to do with me but still it was too spicy so maybe the person taking the order should know that to some people it may be." The manager said, " Maybe you should not go to Mexican restaurants if your not mexican." ????? I have no reply except maybe the racist card was in his hand.

We got an order to go. Because of the way things are packaged, EVERYTHING was soggy and had fallen apart by the time we got home. I know now that we have to specifically ask for separate boxes for everything when it's a to go order. Their prices have also almost reached ridiculous status. On a positive note, they still make the best guacamole in the state IMHO

Use to go to this place a bit as a kid so it has a nostalgic feeling when I walk in. The food though has seemed to remain fairly consistent which is helpful. You know what you are going to get. It’s also great to get take-out if you are in a hurry. You can call ahead and have your order waiting. Much better than waiting the 15-20 while the food cooks.

The last place I saw my parents perform their famous duet, it was tragic because months later my mom had her throat closed after it was ran over by a 1995 Pontiac grand am, and my dad's face is fine he is just a little shy on stage by himself, if you are willing please contact him about replacing my mom on stage. I've always liked this restaurant. The food is good, consistent and we'll priced. They advertise a daily special that is available all day, every day. Two cheese enchiladas for about $5.99 which includes rice, beans, Pico de gallo, chips and salsa. Awesome!

I guess since he was only 2 he don't need his own, however he eats to much to just want to share! However the problem was fixed so not a big complaint. This place is bigger however we prefer the smaller one up on 400 much better!! Even though it's a chain the food is not the same in both locations.

Wait staff was fantastic!!! Loved them. Food? Awful. Nothing had any seasoning or salt at all, and very bland. Took 30 minutes to get fajitas. Sent them back because they were cold... I held the cast iron skillet and barely felt any warmth cold. Got them back charred and inedible, and STILL cold. Oh, there was ONE piece of chicken. Flan was great, probably bcause they didn’t make it. Kitchen staff was arguing with and cursing out wait staff in Spanish the entire time I was there with my wife. First time ever that I didn’t eat the food at a restaurant it was so bad. Won’t EVER be back again, I’ll stick to the West Valley City location where the food is good, hot, and the atmosphere is inviting.

The food is good, but when i called in an order for pickup, I ordered flour enchiladas, I was given corn enchiladas. I didn't realize until I got home, when I realized the mistake I called to ask if I could have the flour ones made and offered to buy them, the girl on the phone argued with me that I didn't order flour initially. Finally I just admitted fault so that she'd just make my order correctly. I was given a lot of looks and some attitude from the staff upon picking up my correct order but they made it for free.

They were understaffed and it took forever to order and receive our food. The waitress was pleasant . The air conditioning was not working and we were forced to leave early because it was so uncomfortable. The bathrooms are a disaster and there were no paper towels. The food was just ok. I will not go there again .
