REVIEWS OF Grub Steak #1 Steakhouse in Utah IN Utah

Rod Gullo

Excellent steak restaurant. Great selection of prime steaks, plus bison and elk sirloin options. 45 item salad bar with soup. Friendly staff. Fair portions and prices.

Jordan Frank

Steak was overcooked, they agreed and brought me a new one. Pretty good overall. Great salad bar. For the money I think I prefer Ruth's Chris however.

Rachael Plack

Best steakhouse ever! All of the cuts of meat are so tender and juicy. You can't go wrong with any of the meat selections, they are all delicious! It is expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. The sides dishes are also delicious and the salad bar has so many options that even the pickiest eater is bound to find something that they like. I like that they have other types of meat besides steak like fish, chicken, prime rib, elk and more. The indoor aesthetic of 1800's decor is fun and interesting. This place is definitely a must see for any meat lover!

Tabitha Borland

What an experience at Grubsteak! The drink menu was great - and they make a perfect margarita called The Spicy Cactus. The steak cut like butter, and the basil pesto sauce that comes with the sirloin is incredible. They also have a killer salad bar. Who doesn’t love that!? 1000 stars!

Alyssa Godwin

It's alright food. Friendly staff. The menu is somewhat limited (you can get the same at Strap Tank but better at half the price). But what took 4 stars to two is they had live music, which was pleasant until the musician decided to whistle, cowboy whistle, into the microphone. It set off a migraine (he did it twice) because it was so loud and shrill. Will NOT be returning.

Justin Wright

3 star restaurant, 3 star food, 3 star service, 3 star ambiance. 4-5 star price. Drapes don't match the curtains?

Christian DeHaas

One of the better steak dinners I've had. Pricing was a little high though

Ms. Media

OMG if you ever get a steak anywhere in Utah, get one here!!! Literally the best prime rib ever!!!

Fox Hound

Service was outstanding, atmosphere was great. Food is sub par, not worth the price. I asked for a medium rare steak, was totally pink when received. Sides were good but not worth the $80+ for the meal.

Chase Vaseleou

High end steak house that is comfortable for the whole family. I had the famous Tomahawk! This 38oz gift from the gods stretched right across my table. Now keep in mind this isn't my first rodeo with the Tomahawk, but Grub Steak's selection, paired with the way they prepare this steak sent my taste buds into ecstasy. Hands down my new favorite!

James Choi

I've visited nearly every steakhouse in Salt Lake City from Fleming's and Ruth Chris to Carvers in Sandy. While they all have their merits, I have been most impressed with the down to earth Western vibe and the incredible attentiveness and service of this steakhouse. The prime rib I had was incredible. Cooked perfectly med-rare and flavorful. The unlimited salad bar that came with it with fresh baked bread and whipped butter a great addition and the rum sauce bread pudding??? I'll definitely be back as much as I can.

Jacob Jensen

We go here every other week. Food is always good. A little pricey, but worth it of you want a great steak! The prime rib is to die for!

Stefan Spich

Expensive but worth it. Professional service, very nice food, tasty salad bar, good menu. All the things a top steak house should have. We had a fun evening here...

Natty P

Great service! Staff was very knowledgeable about type of meat we would like best! Would definitely go back!

Casey A.

Save yourself A LOT of money and just go to Texas Roadhouse. These people are terribly rude and entitled for no reason. The steak is burnt and the customer is never right at this place.

Jason Ramsey

Fantastic food and excellent service. Try the prime rib, it’s really good. Don’t leave without ordering some bread pudding!

Joachim Baier

Decent salad bar, but the prime rib that my wife had was disappointing. I had the elk steak which was pretty good. Not sure it’s worth the price, but it’s a reasonable choice during ski season.

Shane Adams

The service makes you feel like family.

Michael Zelwin

Grub Steakhouse has a lot of personality. One of the best features of coming to eat on a Saturday night is the live music that plays. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff are all friendly. As for the meal, there are plenty of options to choose from that are standard to your typical steakhouse. When ordering an entree, you get the choice of a starter, which I recommend the 75 item salad bar, and a side (baked potato, mashed potato, rice, vegetables). The food in all is mediocre. For the same prices as a NYC steakhouse, the food didn’t seem like the same quality. Felt rushed in preparation. My medium rare steak felt more medium well than medium rare. While the service in the restaurant were friendly because of the size and number of people there, the staff weren’t able to be as attentive for our table. Overall satisfactory experience. The personality makes up for the food.

Annabel Phillips

Best prime rib I've ever had.

Irena Jovanovic Zerba

Amazing place . The best value for money in Park a city. Great service , Prime rib is their specialty and is delicious, Steaks are great , they even serve bison ! We loved it . It’s also family friendly. We will be back .

Anthony Liston

By far the best steak I have ever had. This place is awesome. Amazing staff. Everyone in our party loved their food. Portions were perfect. We came all the way from ogden to eat at the grub and it didn’t disappoint.

Zachary Towne

Steak was extremely charred and barely seasoned. Take the salad bar as a warning, definitely not the #1 in Utah as they claim.

Robert McMillen

Very good meal! Great dessert. Music, attentive waiter. Great evening.

Russell Townshend

Rather average American steakhouse. Meat (steak and elk) was decent but a quite a bit tougher than expected, under-seasoned and only showed char on one side. Server was very accommodating. Prices were not bad for Park City.

Sarah-Beth Hansen

LOVED eating here! went here for our anniversary and has a great time! Loved the salad bar, prime rib, new york steak, and bread pudding! Service was great! super attentive staff and very kind. Live music, great atmosphere overall!

Anna West

We are staying at Hotel Park City, same building where Ruth’s Chris Stake House is, but decided to venture out as the web menu prices at Grub looked more reasonable. They might be if you compare their prepackaged menu of stake and Caesar salad or stuffed chicken breast and Caesar salad ordered before 5:30 PM to Ruth’s actual dinner menu after 5:30 PM. I find it very dishonest that Grub does this: publish low prices on web menu. The actual menu prices are significantly higher for dinner. Also, I see another customer submitted a 3-star review a few days earlier and management is doing the same misleading thing in their response to that review: comparing their prepackaged menu before 5:30 PM to actual Ruth’s dinner prices. They must think we are all dumb. We ordered two New Zealand elk stakes, one buffalo filet, and one cottage pie or something like that. We asked for one elk stake to be medium and one medium rare. Both were unsalted, not very flavorful, and completely undercooked: 100% bloody with a plate full of blood at the end of dinner. My buffalo filet was also not very good. I had buffalo many times and I make buffalo at home and this was not a good flavor. Baked potato was so dry. I never thought one can actually mess up a baked potato. I feel like it was heated and reheated several times until it had no moisture left it in. The other potato with butter and sour cream in it was drowning in butter and sour cream like soup. I don’t know how you can mess an easy thing so badly. Mushroom soup was good. We all liked it. Atmosphere was good. Service was good. There was no bread or anything offered prior to a meal.

Justin Howery

We love this place, we're sure to stop by everytime we're in town.

Winner-Timothy Bolorunduro

Had the new York steak and it did not disappoint. If you're not sure of the side to have, go with the rice, you'd be glad you did

Marcy Bigelow

Excellent food, service, and music! A real treat!

William Roberts

Good local place for big steaks. Nothing too fancy but decent quality and nice staff.

Sara Crawford

Very good food. Top of the line service. We were a big group who got a private room. The service was impeccable, friendly, and attentive. Our meat ended up overcooked, but they fixed it quickly and the rest of the food and the service more than made up for it. Definitely a great place to eat. Well-worth the price, just for the service and the food was delicious and well-portioned. It is a lot of food, though.

Matt J.

If I only get to eat one meal while in PC, this is the place. You won't regret it.

Ruth Zemke

Absolutely love this place. Nestled in a less touristy area of Park City, the food is exceptional and the experience is exactly what you’d expect in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back!! Prime rib was incredible!

Randy Santos

American food, yeah, yummy. the bill was appropriate for the quality.

Catherine Zillgitt

Great service. Everyone loved their steaks, done perfectly. Dessert was amazing. Even my daughter's soup was tasty. I thought a place with a salad bar would be lower quality, but quite the opposite. The fresh salad bar was just a bonus. Highly recommend.

Jenny Mccabe

Used to be our favorite restaurant. Came back and the prices have practically doubled and serivice isn't near what it used to be. We've always been blown away by the service, this time it was less than decent. We used to make excuses to make the drive just to come and now we probably won't be returning.

Devin Dalton

Was pretty good, just a little bit pricey for what it was though.

Briana Strelko

Food was delicious but service was okay. When we first got seated, the server wasn't so attentive as he was to older customers, as we were younger than most people there. As soon as we ordered some of the most expensive items on the menu, his whole attitude changed to much friendlier. Overall, the ambiance, decor and food were great so if ever in Park City, we would eat here again.

Intermountain Concrete Specialties

Want a great Steak? Go here!! Ribeye was amazing and Zepp gave us the best service.

Marc B

The food overall was very good. The service was good not great as you'd expect for the price you pay, but certainly not bad. The prime rib was very good, one of the best Ive had. They have a nice salad bar and a good dessert selection as well. Overall was a nice dining experience with good food. Would return again.

jennifer houdeshell

We eat here every visit to park city.... The salad bar is great with fresh, warm breads. Good for large parties. Service is always great. Reservations are needed....it is crowded more times than not.

NDLlama1

Overhyped but pretty good steak. Ribeye was cooked to perfection, but the cut itself was mediocre. Just don't order drinks, I've never seen a "barbie pink" old fashioned before and hope I never see one again.

Wendy Worrell

This place is amazing!! Will definitely go again when we are back in this area!!

Scott Overmier

Bison and elk steaks were great. We didn't have reservations but were able to be seated once the host staff figured things out, they seemed a little clueless. Probably best to have a reservation to be sure you'll have a table.

Kly Yu

I always tell everyone that Grub Steak is a must when they visit Park City! The prime ribs are cooked perfectly and the salad bar is the perfect appetizer. Never had an entree there that I didn't like

Frank Luongo

Excellent steak. However they had much more. Good drink offering; nice wine selection . Very nice selection of sides and appetizers. Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Overall excellent place for a meal with friends.

Neil Sullivan

The food and service are outstanding, my filet was perfectly grilled. Be sure to make a reservation as they fill up FAST.

Travis Warr

Just said grubsteak for the fifth time and it is awesome. Highly recommend this place DJ our waiter was great and had amazing recommendations.

Nathan MacCarter

The 'finest steak and seafood' that Park City has to offer, but might be a bit of a let down. I was underwhelmed with the last century cuts off 'wet aged' beef. Also tried the king crab legs (2) which were unprepped, meaning I spent a lot of time cracking and digging. Salad bar was blah, as was the beer/wine selection. The only thing authentic was the cowboy playing guitar.

Courtney Wilbur

My husband and I came up to celebrate our birthdays and we were blown away by Grub Steak! The service was perfect, attentive but not pushy. The staff in general was wonderful and welcoming. The steak was incredible. I had the New York steak with pepper on top and my husband had the Prime Rib. We were both very happy with ours. They were perfectly cooked to what we had asked. The salad bar was great too - so many options! I would recommend coming on a weekend when they have live music. It was a great touch to the atmosphere of the evening. I would also save room for dessert. The bread pudding in particular was amazing, and our favorite that we tried. Needless to say we will be back!

Phil Stevens

The bison was very nice and my wife said the salmon was good, too. The salad bar is complementary with an entree and had a wide mix of vegetables. The price was reasonable for a very good dinner in a resort town.

Bob Bobarian

Service was excellent and the steak was pretty good. My only complaint and it is definitely me was the constant country music playing throughout the restaurant. It really through me off. Instead of it just being ambient I was constantly asking myself what the...

Patrick Anderson

This is an overpriced Sizzler worth supposed alternate proteins. My buffalo tenderloin reminded me of the little tenderloins you get at the grocery store with a piece of bacon already wrapped around it. In fact, it tasted just like that. So if you want to save $200, got to any grocery store and drop $4 on that tenderloin and grill it on your own. If you mess up, it will still be about the same. Also, bring you drink recipes with you, as if you order any mixed drink not on the menu, they will ask you how to make it. This is a grade A tourist trap. The locals all know to not go there. It does have a nice fireplace and decor on the walls.

Dan Wilding

Wow! This was an excellent steak! The atmosphere is quite casual but the food is top notch. I had the rib eye, but they offer all types of steaks including fillets, new York, they even offer a tomahawk steak for the huge appetite and the huge wallet. Additional dishes include sea food and chicken. If I remember right, I think they also offer a peek dish. They offer a salad bar, which if broad and fresh, and side dishes are fabulous. I highly recommend the Grub Steak.

b iwi

Great steakhouse! Had the New York steak and was very happy with my choice. It came with a great salad bar and full loaded baked potato. They had other appetizers and sides I will have to try next time and I will be coming back. We came on a Friday night and they had a live band that was a nice touch to dinner. I had the dessert sampler and the bread pudding was the best!

Pam McNew

Wonderful food and our server Zepp was the best!!!

Thomas Kaminski

Loved it. Live music. Great food. Nice place for entertaining business partners.

Sami Mansour

If you're looking for a good place to host a large party definitely check this place out. The food here was delicious! I had the tomahawk it was cooked to perfection. Our host D.J. was more than accommodating for our party of 27 thank you soo much!

JC LaVerde

Just meh. For the price and 1 hour wait to be seated (even though we had a reservation ) the steaks were just ok. Nothing special.

Justin Belliston

Pretty good. Server while trying to be helpful was a bit pushy. Really liked the seasoning on the prime rib and the mushroom soup. My favorite item was easily the calamari. Will be back for Sundance when I go up to PC again.

Karlie

D.J. provides excellent service to go along with the magnificent food! He was very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to our needs. If we could give Grub Steak 6 stars, we would. Amazing food and superb service from the beginning to end. The live music was an added bonus to make our evening even more memorable! We would absolutely recommend.

Kyong Sun Lee

The meat was so tender and soft. Excellent Food and friendly service.

Laura Bascom

Food was excellent. Atmosphere and staff was wonderful.

Robert Gregory

Very good steaks & the bartender Saturday night was awesome. We ate in the bar, she was very attentive & we enjoyed her conversation.

PC SkiBum

Good hearty food. Great salad bar. If you walk out hungry it's your own fault.

Reiley Chase

All I can say is; they claim the best steak in Utah! After the porterhouse steak I had, I AGREE! That was the best porterhouse steak I've eaten in my life. My husband's prime rib, out of this world!!! Our new favorite restaurant in the park City area!!!

Travis Owen

Perfect spot for a date night, surprised my girlfriend for new years, we enjoyed the Kansas City steak & a fully loaded baked potato - don't forget to save room for dessert, we loved the sampler!

Bella Scott

Awesome

Reed Mohorn

A staple of a true Park City experience. Grub steak offers a nostalgic atmosphere that anyone would like share with their family while on vacation. This is where u need to go to find some of the finest meats and salad bar that will leave u feeling refreshed. I’ve been going to this location since 2002 and am always looking to go back. Thank you for the memories grub steak.

seth humphries

Great salad bar. Great meat

Jeff Longtain

Enjoyed a great meal with an employee. The Rib-eye was excellent as was the salad bar and fresh baked bread. Enjoyed the live music and excellent service.

Kimberly

Different than your regular steakhouse with a salad bar and unique decor, however the steaks were excellent.

Christian Alvarez

I am here in vacation and of all the places my group and I have eaten, this place was the most underwhelming. We had a 7:30pm reservation, got seated just after 8:30pm. The waiter was polite but very innatentive. I place the blame on a waitstaff that appears too small .They also pack people and tables in like sardines. I went to the front bar and there was a woman taking drinks and another man at the cash register taking orders and making "tickets". The woman behind the bar looked very stressed but was working very hard to keep up with all the new orders. The man taking orders didn't do anything but just stare at her while she fullfilled orders. I eventually walked away with no drink. Hey the bread and honey butter at the salad bar was good! I had the tenderloin filet, 8oz and ordered calamari as an app. Calamari was rubbery and tasted very old. Probably microwaved .I also had a desert which was "ok" .the filet was cooked to the right temperature but for 44 dollars I expected much more flavor or something to warrant the high price tag. The mashed potatoes were good Overall this was just your typical overpriced steak house trying to maintain an image with a nice interior design and extreme prices. I wouldn't go back here again.

Daniel Call

The food here is generally delicious. I had a prime rib with baked potato, which was outstanding. Others in my party enjoyed the strip steak, but the halibut was not recommended. They presentee desserts on a tray, which was fun (and a sure way to get you to order!). The cheesecake was very good. The salad bar was underwhelming, with wilted lettuce and very basic toppings.

Rachel Wilson

SO good! The steak was thick and delicious and so juicy, cooked perfectly! My mouth is watering just thinking about it again and I’m so full from just eating it! TRY the house BBQ sauce it’s homemade and amazing! Every side and salad and everything was just delicious. I’m totally in love with the building and the ambiance. The live music was so perfect and i was so sad when we stayed too late and he had to go home

Jose Olvera

Great steak house. The staff is easy to work with. I liked how well cooked my steak was. That tomahawk ribeye is worth the money. Every bite was juicy and well seasoned. No hassle to be seated. Highly recommend.

LaMarr Hess

Excellent atmosphere and the food was too! Recomend for a great dining experience.

Alex Jennings

Fantastic place. Fun rustic decor made us feel at home, live music was perfect for the ambiance. The division between booths made it feel very private. The salad bar was great and the baguette was the best I've had on three continents. The prime rib was good--a little fatty and seemed overly raw until they grilled it a tad more and then it was flipping exquisite. Definitely recommend splitting a single meat plate and paying for the split charge for salad. Makes it an incredible value for the best steak I may have ever had. Thanks for making our anniversary dinner so perfect!

Alice Glidewell

We had dinner here recently. It was not our first experience as we try to eat here every time we visit Park City. After having difficulty with the online reservation system, we still got a table within 30 minutes. The service was exceptional and the food was great. Our server, Zepp was outstanding, as well as the hostesses who also checked to see if all was well. We felt pampered. Thanks for another wonderful evening.

Justin Ferguson

Best stake I have ever had in my whole life. Worth every penny spent sooo good

Rachael Smith

AMAZING experience, amazing food. The customer service is incredible. Bryon served us and was so excellent. The managers came and talked with us more than once. The live music was exceptional. Would recommend to anyone coming to Park City.

Emily Everson

If you're getting the prime rib, go for it. If your ordering much else it's not really worth it. The calamari was not freshly cooked. It was quite rubbery and all the breading was sliding off like it has been sitting out for some time. (I order calamari at every restaurant I go to that has it and this is the worst I've had) The salmon was cooked very well but had no flavor (and I mean NO flavor, I don't think there was even salt on it) and it was incredibly small for $29. The cooking seems to be very inconsistent as my baked potato was almost char it was so overdone but my husband's was perfect. The prime rib was quite good, well cooked, decent flavor, large portion. The service was good, my water glass was never empty and the staff seemed friendly and helpful. However I honestly would not return as the cost of the food is much higher then the overall quality.

Angela Burgess

My husband and I had dinner for the first time at Grub Steakhouse in Park City, Utah last night. It was a great dining experience. We started with the French Onion Soup. You must try it! Lots of onions, crispy croutons and the cheese...crispy on top, perfect for a cold evening! We plan on going back tonight to hang out at the bar, listen to the live music and have French Onion Soup! Yes it is that good. I also had the New York strip which was grilled perfectly to order with a nice char. My husband stared with the salad bar which had a long line of fresh choices, including a bowl of fresh fruit and hot breads. He is entree was the slow roasted (18 hours) prim rib. It was very juicy and tender served with au jus and horseradish sauce. It was cooked perfectly... I will order it next time. He ordered the loaded baked potato which is a meal in itself... and did I mention the crispy bacon on top? This is a steakhouse in ever sense of the word so you will not leave hungry. We will have desert tonight too, they are shareable and looked delicious! The service was impeccable as we did not have to ask for anything it was brought to our table automatically. I give Grub Steakhouse a rating of 5, and hope you enjoy it too.

George Franklin

I can’t say enough good things about the dinner, dessert, service, or atmosphere. Both steaks came out quickly and perfectly cooked, they had a unique and fresh salad bar, the dessert menu is rotating and all I tried were great (recommend getting the sampler!), and there was a gentleman playing the guitar and singing above the bar. Lastly, shout out to our server Sue who really was the cherry on top of the experience. We will be back. PS would have posted a picture but by the time we put the fold down it was gone...

lynn Chapman

This may be the best filet I've ever had. Incredibly tender piece of meat. Simply prepared with a perfect baked potato. The salad bar is excellent. Dessert that we shared was the bread pudding. Very good, but the sauce was a little too sweet for our tastes. Lovely ambience. Not fancy, jeans ok. House wine was wonderful with my meal. The reviewer who said the meat was Costco quality is way off the mark.

Mary Goss

Great steaks, service but alittle pricey.

Kevin Wolters

This was my first time dining at Grub Steak and I was pretty impressed with the service & food. This restaurant capitalizes on Park City's rich mining history. My wife's family (entire family...invading France sized family) & my wife & I enjoyed live music while still being able to have great conversations with one another. The only thing that didn't impress me was the price. Hamburgers starting at $21 and steaks at $37 (as high as $87), is not for the faint of heart.

Diana Jackson

We are not meat eater so we were looking for a restaurant that had a extensive salad bar and we found it here. They have most everything you could possibly want including fresh baked bread. It was all fresh and wonderfully presented. The service was also excellent! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Carmella Brown

Great old school steakhouse. My husband and I shared a 40 oz tomahawk steak which was cooked to specification. The entres come with a salad bar and a side. Mashed potatoes were pretty good and my husband's baked potato had plenty of butter on it. The bread pudding was very tasty. Service was very attentive and everyone was friendly and hospitable. I'd definitely eat there again.

chris brady

The food was fantastic. I had bison steak wrapped in bacon. Salad bar was good. French onion soup was amazing. Service was excellent as well. Recommendations suggested. If you are feeling hungry there is a 40oz Tomahawk in the menu as well.

Javier Renteria

Had the Kansas City Steak medium rare. Likely the best steak I ever ate.

Jim P

Wow. Quite an experience. In SLC for work and was told I should drive to Park City for dinner and see the mountains. Looked up a steakhouse there and found Grubs. First off, the two dollar sign rating in google is incorrect ($$). I would place it somewhere between three and four dollar signs. The reason I say between, is because although the entrees are expensive, it includes unlimited salad bar. The food was freaking amazing, the staff was knowledgeable and prompt, and the owner was very nice as well (shes from the town I live in 1340 miles away). I definitely recommend this place, just know dinner for two will not be under $100 unless you dont jame steak.

Roman Gitis

On the upper end of cost for a steakhouse. Bone-in ribeye steak was extremely fatty, with a full 1/3 of the steak being fat. Slightly disappointing for the cost of the cut. Sides were good, broccoli, rice, badges potatoes. Deserts were also good.

Matt Meyer

Not a prime rib guy really, but it was excellent here. Not much else to say except that they execute the classics very well. Service was good too. Oh yeah, also got to watch this older lady at the table across from me drop a

Ronald Beard

Always eat there when in town visiting our son and family. Great salad bar.

Jodi miller

Oh my gosh, this was some of the best food I’ve had! I decided to try the elk sirloin & it was so tender and flavorful. My husband had the prime rib, our son had the ribs & our daughter the tenderloin filet (they’re 16 & 17), with mashed potatoes, baked potato, the enormous salad bar and a side of “Oscar”. We had the sampler dessert too, (creme brûlée’, mud pie & bread pudding) & they are all made in house and they were out of this world!

arp Ken

Very good food and service. The environment is comfortable as well. All of us enjoyed this Mother's day dinner.

Attilio Di Marco

Based on the prices, the bison meat was quite interesting. Service was just average.

Kimberly Tosti

Mother's Day brunch is always fabulous and never over packed. A great local secret - now exposed!

Dara Morgan

Delicious food and excellent entertainment! Highly recommend.

Justin Newman

Best steak place in Park City, hands down! Everything on the menu is amazing as well.

Desanirain

Great service and the medium rare prime rib was the most tender we have had. I can't help but think that it is like a A5 grade steak!

Jan Ostebo

Ok so we were here earlier in the year and it was wonderful. This time they had like either new MGMT but it was a little freaky with all the wait staff looking at you all time also the prices we at least 20.00 more than the prior time too. The prime rib was ok not the best should have been stellar for 36 dollars! Will not probably come again due to changes in cost as it's listed $$-$$$.and was more like $$$_$$$$.

Oliver Kim

Amazing food, service was incredible! Would recommend.

Jeff Bunker

Really nice people and excellent steaks. The salad bar is a must

K Bryant

Really really good steak. The trout spectacular! Wonderful atmosphere. Owner even came up and greeted us after we got our food to make sure it was satisfying. But, my 3 stars is for the waiter. We ran out of water twice. Once before we got the main dish. After we got the food he ignored us. We were done eating (except the person taking some home) by the time he came to fill water (2nd time empty). We asked for a box for the extra. We waited 5 min. for the box. Then after a longer wait and several attempts to get his attention, he came to clear the table of plates and asked if we wanted dessert. We said no, just the check. We then waited again... over 10 min. (The live music made it seem less long, but I was watching the clock, because we had other plans after dinner as well). After assisting the table next to us, I finally got his attention and asked for the check again, but before I could finish getting the words out he said "it's coming". Then walked over and got our check to bring over to us. It wasn't because they were over busy, several times I almost asked other waiters around for help. Some standing over at the side observing. I wondered about walking over the front and asking for help, but decided to ride it out to see if things would improve. I saw our waiter visiting with others a couple of times. I felt very unimportant there. The food was great and the steak worth the price, but I probably won't go back. Other places have amazing steak and meats as well.

kathy gates

Lots of good food and great salad bar!!

Rick Camp

Probably the best Prine Rib I have ever had. Loved the food. Loved the service. Loved the atmosphere.

Cody Keisel

Great western atmosphere and food. Hard to beat.

Sam Mezger

Outstanding food and service. The young man on the guitar is a prodigy. Go there.

Evan Wilt

Great attentive service, awesome portion sizes, and fun atmosphere. Steak came out perfect

Brad Flores

Excellent food. We went for my wife birthday. We had amazing service from Zepp. We all had a great time.

Stuart Mossop

Grub steak has fantastic steaks, an expansive salad bar, and a wide selection of wines and beers. I would happily eat there again next time I am in the area.

Mike T

While staying in Park City for the weekend and reviewing steak house options I noticed this place had the highest number of positive reviews by far and was not located in the heart of main street which translated to ease of parking. We were greeted pleasantly by the hostess and were fortunate enough to secure the last available booth. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the food was above reproach. I enjoyed the porterhouse with prawns while my wife loved the prime rib. Highly recommend the asparagus with hollandaise, fresh beer bread and rice. Wonderful experience - - highly recommended.

Tanner Berkson

We had a great meal here it is in the more expensive side. I would list it as $$$ not the 2 it shows. They primerib is top notch and I had a couple ribs that were delicious. Friendly staff and great service.

Dan Snyder

Absolutely great place, very comfortable atmosphere, steak was wonderful! Wife cannot eat beef, but can eat bison so enjoyed a bison tenderloin prepared very well. Service was prompt, but not hurried. Jill was great, always there when needed and very helpful with menu choices. Celebrated 30 years of marriage with great food. Thank you!

Shannon Millard

What a dining experience. The food and service were phenomenal. Reservations are recommended. We had the prime rib and chicken. They were amazing!!! I highly recommend this place.

Great service and amazing food! Thanks D.J. for taking care of us!

Reviews don’t match this place. We were sat down at a table and we asked for a booth then the snot nose waitress said they are only for people who have reservations. After ordering our food another customer group was seated next to us at a table they asked for a booth and she said no problem. The food was okay it’s like a grade above chuckarama. Good quality meat cooked okay. By far does not match reviews. I would not recommend. Besides bad parking lot situation.

The meal was sufficient, the desserts were excellent. The location, price, and clientele leave something to be desired. The live music was a nice touch.

Great steaks, excellent service, Sue made sure we were happy

Amazing steak with yummy sides.

Without a doubt the food is very good, cooked well, seasoned adequately, nice presentation, most everything you'll want out of a good steak. But, the somewhat sad reality is, that for the price you pay for certain items on the menu, you expect a certain wow factor in the food, and it just wasn't there. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, but honestly when the flavor, texture and just overall goodness of the sides are more profound and memorable than the $70-$100 steak itself, you kinda feel like you might as well have fired up the grill at home and went to the butcher's for a good cut. Also, don't fall for the fancy add on "jumbo prawns" that sound delicious in description, and again aren't bad by any stretch, but are literally just some basic grilled shrimp, that aren't really that jumbo and aren't really any better than, dare I say it, shrimpfest at your local red lobster. It's good food, it's just not worth the premium price tag attached. With other places in the area that are either way less expensive and just as good, or just downright better tasting food, and in quite a few cases even both, I cant say I'd bother spending my lunch money in this line again.

Best prime rib I have had in years

Food is good comfort food but the best thing about our visit was the music entertainment. Young kid with HUGE talent. Future Eddie Vedder. Kid just oozes cool. What a great night!!!!

We had dinner at Grub on our last night in Park City. We had a party of seven, including a couple of older teens. Our waiter DJ could not have been any nicer. He was very attentive and personable. Steaks cooked exactly as ordered. The salad bar, with bread and butter, was great too! The live music was a fun addition. We all agreed Grub Steak was a great finish to our trip. Thanks again DJ for a great experience!

I have been going to the Grub Steak for more than a decade. I always liked the ambiance, and the salad bar, but thought the steak was just ok. In the past year, it has greatly improved.

Riles Anders

Umm..... Wow! I mean it is expensive but shesh that was amazing! Best way to eat is get the 58oz and spilt with someone. The food was amazing! Can't wait to go back soon!

We ordered chicken and steak and unfortunately it was not great. Dry and not very flavorful... must have been an off night. Chris the manager came and spoke to us about it unsolicited and made things right. The prime rib was excellent as well as the dessert. Service was great and they read us well in order to take care of the problem. The first half of our experience we were very disappointed but the service by Chris and our server will make us come back and try it again! Thank you Chris, I really appreciate good service and the ability to read your clientele!

A favorite place for special occasions. Salas bar has a great selection, the steaks are top notch, and the sides/appetizers are delicious too. Make sure to save room for the mud pie with homemade whipped cream! Sometimes a mud pie craving is the special occasion needed for a trip to Grub Steak!

Great ambience. Excellent steak. Would recommend.

Me and my wife went up to park city to visit and get out of town for a bit for our anniversary. We love the area and scenery of park city. I came across this restaurant because I was looking for some steak and I'm glad I got so lucky to call and get a spot in for reservation. (Make sure you get a reservation) Food was pricey but worth it. Great flavor and healthy sides.

One of my favorite places to eat in Park City. We used to live here and would eat here frequently. 2 years ago we moved out of state. We were back this weekend for a visit and I decided I wanted my birthday dinner to be at Grubsteak. I love the elk sirloin, the prime is always great and the French onion soup is delicious. Add to that a fantastic salad bar and the only thing I could wish for was a better Malbec on their wine list.

Benjamin Bell

Good food all the way around. Awesome flourless chocolate cake!!

Brianne Larsen

We had a truly wonderful dining experience here last night. Not only did our family LOVE all the food, we also enjoyed the authentic rustic, western atmosphere that still somehow managed to feel modern and new. All the staff was so warm and helpful. Our server was very knowledgeable and genuinely kind. The food was incredible! My prime rib was amazingly tender and flavorful. My husband said his fall-off-the-bone ribs were "the best ribs I've ever had!" The cheesecake was great and so beautifully displayed. My children loved the burgers, steak fries and a really fun ice cream dessert that looks like a clown. So fun! I wasn't expecting such a nice steakhouse to also be so family friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to eat with fantastic food and a unique, cozy ambiance.

It was okay.... pricey but delicious Worth it.

Truly #1. Been going here for years. Never dissatisfied with the service.

Terry Lantz

Tomahawk steak was awesome!!! Two things to make improvements on. Chilled salad plates and better bread. Wait staff was friendly. By far the best food in Park City.

Mike Langford

Great meal with some very cool live music on a raised stage. They were kind enough to move us to a table right at the front after initially putting us at the very far corner (nobody puts baby in the corner) and that made all the difference.

Ryan Lackey

Very solid as prime rib houses go. Good prime rib, and standard sides. The salad bar option is pretty nice. Nothing blew me away about Grub Steak, but I don't go to a prime rib house to be blown away. I can't speak to the quality of the other items ordered at the table, but they all looked good and the other guests all had positive things to say. Decent service, but not amazing. Again, not something that would blown you away, but predictably good and you can't go wrong with it. Great for a no-brainer after work/business dinner or prime rib and drinks.

Jeremy Dreisbach

Great friendly service! The steaks are nothing great! Meats at Costco have more flavor. I ordered a NY strip, it was over cooked,(ordered med rare) got med well. It was also very dry & poor flavor. Like someone else said 3 star service & food, 5 star prices. Outback & Longhorns have better steaks. Far from being #1 in Utah.

Brian McWhorter

First time there, i wasn't super impressed with the fillet. I travel all over the country for work and always get fillets where i go. This one was over priced for what it was. It honestly tasted like an Applebees steak. You are better off going to Texas roadhouse your a fraction of the price.

Robb Heisler

Outstanding service, great steak and fun atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

Park City Family

A Decent place for steaks in Park city. The steaks are OK, but not great. They seem to need a bit more flavor. I do especially enjoy the salad bar. The burger seem to be very tasty as well. The live music when available is a bonus. A western cowboy like atmosphere. It gets crowded on the weekends, so make a reservation

Courtney Brown

Everything about our experience here was perfect. Our server, Kristel, was very knowledgeable about the menu and extremely helpful. Her recommendations were on point. My steak was perfectly done and seasoned to my liking. We will definitely be back next time we’re in PC!

terri carter

Excellent choice for excellent food. Wonderful staff. We always enjoy our visit here. Great job!

Doug Palmer

Great place if your after the old Park City atmosphere, It's off the beaten path a bit. These guys had the very best lunch salad bar in the state, 5-star. I don't understand why they stopped doing it?

Bridey Gardner

Food was excellent! By far my favorite steakhouse in Utah!

Lisa Shaw

Great meal, fantastic ribeye! Zeppelin was my server and he was attentive and very professional. Would highly recommend if you're in the area!

Katie Guthrie

We came for our anniversary they had delicious food and our server Zepp, was wonderful.

Sir Frisco Foodie

Great atmosphere with a warm woodsy feel. They had live music and a very large 45 item salad bar. The meat was okay. Not the greatest quality for the money but cooked properly and tasty. The salad bar 15.00 is well worth the visit.

Rob Eckel

Average steakhouse - it seems very overrated in many of these reviews. It was a nice atmosphere, though nothing extraordinary. My wife and I both got bone-in ribeyes. Mine was cooked as I ordered (medium) though my wife's was undercooked from what she ordered (well done...). The cuts were rather thin, maybe 3/4 inch. I feel that I get better quality meat from Costco, as USDA Choice.. not sure what grade beef was served here, but I doubt it was Prime. The salad bar was probably the highlight of the dinner. Good selection of toppings and everything tasted fresh. The service was a bit below average, though it was a busy Friday night. It took 30 minutes for them to bring my beer out after ordering, and another 20 minutes after we finished eating before I was given the check. Overall, I'm rating this 2 stars - average quality alone would get 3 stars, but the above average price brings it down a star due to poor value. There are better quality steakhouses at the same pricepoint in Park City, so I probably won't be returning here.

Pablo Cuaron

Great food and service. The have a very good salad bar and they had live music.

Lynn Davis

We enjoyed our meal. Husband had the bison and I had the small filet mignon. The meals were pricey...but it is a resort town and probably commonplace. It was our one meal out for our week long trip. We did spend just over $100 for the two meals, no drinks.

Angi Rose

Prompt and courteous service. Salad bar was fresh and well stocked with variety of choices. Dessert menu was delicious!

ok ok

The food was great and the service was excellent. Great "lodge" ambience. We would definatly return.
