Was catering for office staff. Ordered it in for a specific time and they did that well, if not a little early. Wish they had called to let me know that it was already ready because it was cold when I got it. Order was wrong as well. I asked for the complimentary cookies and got strawberries on every one.

It's alright... Have had better service than today. My boyfriend ordered me the enchilada chili after I regained my appetite with my viral infection over the weekend, but it was disappointing and not what I'm used to eating. Not very chili like in the consistency. Very little meat or beans in the chili, super brothy. They also did not offer him tortilla strips. Hopefully the replacement soup is better tomorrow.

Zupa's is a nice little chain that, overall, gets my vote. They let you taste their soups and I think the value is good and there are a lot better options than many soup/sandwich places. I also love how you can do the half and half options. I really like their warm sandwiches and it's cute how they always give you a chocolate covered strawberry.

i'm incredibly disappointed. why the heck would you charge an extra $2 for a kids meal just because someone's an adult?? it's the same amount of food. i'm disappointed and won't be visiting this location again until they fix this.

Went in here with a buddy the other day, and was greeted by a very pushy employee, who ran through the ordering process like a robot, and pushed me onto the soup girl, who pleasantly asked if I would like to try any soups. I respectfully declined and moved on. After my friend ordered his food, the pushy girl came over and confronted the girl serving soup, belittling her in front of us, by reminding her to "make sure you offer samples of chicken noodle soup, ok?!" In one of the nastiest tones I've heard. I moved on and payed for my food, and sat down. My friend behind me waited for his salad, which was running a little late. Well, turns out the girl who was making salads (the same one with the attitude) forgot to make my friends, and it was brought to our table after we sat down. Come to find out, shes the manager on duty, and she made the whole visit super uncomfortable with her attitude. I don't normally go out of my way to write reviews, but I hope the owner reads this and takes action, Ashley should not represent your company, and especially should not manage employees who she bullies and belittles in front of customers.

Yummy and fast, but sometimes the portions feel a little cheap compared to the price (especially the soups). The room is not the coziest and I've had frustrating experiences with a couple of employees that ended up each time in my favor (especially that one 5-minute conversation where the employee was adamant I couldn't get peppers in my sandwich, only to say in the end that I could get ROASTED peppers, sounding as if those were a different vegetable and that I was silly for not speaking the adjective he was trained to answer to. Sigh.) I still really like the food itself and the variety, just feel like the service is not what it used to be.

Cafe zupas has the best soups, the salads and sandwiches are also all delicious. the service is fantastic. the price is maybe higher than most fast food restaurants but you get what you pay for. Also the cheesecake is the best I've tried anywhere and all the other desserts are top notch. I love their drink infusions as well and they are all sweetened with honey so it's very tasty and healthy

A good sandwich place but I've had a few problems with my order. They rush you through the line without really listening and it takes so long to receive your food that if it is incorrect, you would rather just deal with it then have them take another twenty minutes to fix it

Overall, I have yet to walk away happy from this place. To be honest, I have given them ever since they opened to get their act together. Whether it be the extremely thick soups that should be considered potato salad instead, the crusty service, or mislabeled seasonal advertisements up. When you ask for them to add more broth to make it seem a bit more soupy, you're given the stink face and they say "everything is measured". OK, why does it always seem like they are filling the soup only 2/3 full of soup in the to go cup and the Draper location can manage to get the soup 3/4 filled in the cup. As you can see in my photo, I have not had anything to eat from it and it is hardly full. Granted, this time wasn't nearly as bad as recent visits. One thing that did upset me was the fact of the promo sign in front of where the seasonal soup is at still displays the previous soup. That bacon avocado whatever with the tortilla chips. I tried the seasonal, girl serving soup didn't know what the suggested extras were so I went off the display. Maybe they will be able to get the display for the next seasonal soup in front of it updated before it actually comes out this time. I'll grant them the two stars because for the most part, the food is good. Hard to screw up a binder of recipes though.

Go here every once and a while and I can't give it any less than a 5 star. Food is really good and have a huge variety. I have not disliked a dish I have gotten there yet. Plus the chocolate strawberry is the cherry on top. Only complaint is the price is a little steep but you certainly get what you pay for, high end good food. Also had one of there creme brulee or mousse (I can't recall which) and I wasn't too pleased with it. But their cheesecake is phenomenal.

Just got the pick two deal with a delicious half soup and a great whole sandwich. I love the Chipotle pork salad and the honey bacon sandwich. They have amazing service!!! And amazing food!!! The will never disappoint. Great place to go!!! Love love love this location. I would recommend anyone who hasn't been here. They also have Belgium chocolate covered strawberries that taste like heaven. Love it!!!

Okay, I was a little tipsy walking into Café Zupas at around 9::45 on a Saturday night in SLC, when many places are shuttered at that wee hour. My wife and daughter were next door at Tony's Burgers. I wanted to see what Zupas was all about. Alcohol makes me very inquisitive, in a rather moronic way. The pictures of the soups looked tantalizing to my mottled brain. Thus, I ordered one of my favorites to go; New England Clam Chowder. Once home, I warmed the soup up in the microwave for a couple of minutes, added the free croutons and sat down for a comforting meal. After one spoonful my blood pressure rose 40 points, and I felt myself swelling up like an inflatable Santa lit up on someone's front lawn. Atavistic memories of working the salt mines in Ancient Egypt rose up. The soup should be called "Salted New England Ersatz Canned Clam Chowder." If the good folks of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine tasted this Clam Chowder, it would look like the regurgitation scene in "The Exorcist." On second thought, maybe this soup is what the director gave Linda Blair to get her to vomit with such a violent trajectory. Maybe that's how Zupas got their start. Lesson learned; don't order food when inebriated, based on glossy photos. Will I take this knowledge in? No way! In less than a week, I'll wander into some food emporium and order something equally disgusting.

This is also one of my favorite restaurants. The service is always top notch and the food is always delicious I usually get to try 2 combo with a soup and sandwich. The menu can be a little intimidating at first due to some of the more exotic ingredient combinations but once you find out what you like there's no better place for a quick lunch on an affordable budget. I'm a big man, 6'7 and I weigh 305 pounds and I always leave here full for under $10. They give you a roll and a chocolate strawberry with every single meal.

Zupas is one of my go-to places to eat. Good, healthy food with lots of choices on the menu and slightly high but still reasonable prices. Though it's more of a quick, sit-down eatery, there is also an ambiance that makes one feel comfortable sitting with friends and family long after you've finished eating.

Zupas is my absolute number one choice for high quality casual dining. Their menu mainly consists of soups, salads, and sandwiches; they offer each of the 10-12 selections in half or full sized portions. My favorite is the Italian Club Sandwich. They have quite a few healthy options and a great choice of small desserts. Their brand signature includes a complimentary chocolate-covered strawberry with every plate. One additional highlight are the natural lemonades and juices, which are to die for. The staff clear and clean the tables which makes quick dining a breeze. Zupas is awesome!

Love their gluten-free salads. Their strawberry harvest salad is my personal favorite. If you are gluten-free, tell them to leave out the dinner roll they include. I also really appreciate their chocolate dipped strawberry. Definitely recommend for a quick bite.

Called in our order and arrived home with half the meal we had paid for. Called to very politely ask if an employee could assist us next time we came in instead of pointing across the lobby at a bag on the counter and moving on to the next customer. Was initially very polite but was very upset when the employee didn't apologize and claimed it was our fault for grabbing the wrong bag. Disappointed is an understatement.

This was the first Cafe Zupas I had ever been to. I wasn't as impressed with the food style back then, but over time it has grown on me. I really enjoy the food they serve. The staff is friendly and the location is very convenient. The restroom and restaurant was clean. Parking is shared with other stores/restaurants, so it is a little tight, but it is free (not something that is always common near downtown Salt Lake City).

Cafe Zupas is very consistent in its quality across the few chains I've been too. There are a variety of selections ranging from salads to sandwiches. Keep in mind it gets very busy during lunch so I would recommend goind during dinner or other off hours to avoid the rush

For as narrow of a storefront as this location is, it has a ton of seating. It wraps all the way around the back, too, which is nice when you want to have it a little quieter. The food is always good, but a bit too expensive in my opinion for how quickly you get hungry again after eating here. They used to be more affordable but as they've grown their supply chain has become more costly or something. It's a great place to stop and get some soups, salads, or sandwiches. They have lots of good drink options too in addition to a CocaCola drink station. Definitely a good place to grab a bite, but not when you need it to hold you over for several hours.

A simple place to eat, yes, but with a lot of unusual features. Soups, salads, and sandwiches - yes, but they have a wide range choices of each. I had a combo of turkey, bacon, and avacado sandwich with chickpea and broccolini soup. And they gave us free sour dough rolls and a chocolate dipped strawberry. And they have a tea bar with lots of unusual infusions. Our favorite was turmeric and cucumber tea. Very refreshing! I'll be back.

So disappointed. I’ve always liked their pork bbq sandwiches, they were the best, and now they have changed them. It was ok. I just don’t understand why they would change something that was doing great. And...the rolls have been changed! They used to be so good, nice fluffy slices of French bread...now they are flat and small and not great. My husband and I always have come to Zupas, even since high school. It’s always been dependably good to us. But lately has been letting us down just because of the changes.:/

Zupas ain't what it used to be, quality has gone down, servers seem to care less, yet the price has gone up. Also half of their soups have lobster or mushrooms or other gross things in them. I'll frequent other places. EDIT: You apologize that I "feel" you fell short or that you did fall short? You obviously did fall short if I've left a review saying it. No sense apologizing for other people's feelings, take responsibility and if you're going to apologize, do it for inadequate service.

We went to Zupas for dinner. The customer service was terrible. My dad ordered clam chowder and bacon as a add on they said okay so they didn't put the bacon on there and didn't tell the cashier is it is slippery bacon so it got charged for my bacon for my potato soup but he didn't get charged for his we were told that we were on and we had to pay for an extra side of bacon. The clam chowder he ordered was not clam chowder it was a Cheesy brat. He told him about it and they said when the soup skit low it turns into broth I don't think so it didn't taste nor smell like on top of it have anything in it but brought. And it barely how to scoop in it. So he went the back and they did give him a different soup. It was a very bad customer service no customers should ever be told they were wrong so we will not be returning to this location

I got the Mexicali protein bowl today. I love how fresh and natural the ingredients are that Zupas uses! The pork is fresh and tastes like a roast just pulled from the oven. Vegetables are crisp and full of flavor and I love that they have a sea salt grinder and pepper grinder at every table. I also got the fresh infusion orange and strawberry juice with honey. The flavor is so subtle and lightly sweet. Love it! Now for the location...I have nothing but great things to say... Very clean and well maintained. Light and airy atmosphere with large windows on all sides of the dining area and large enough that even with the dinner crowd, it doesn't feel crowded. The servers are very friendly and efficient. I felt like the line moved forward quickly with very little wait. Thank you, Murray Zupas, for a very pleasant experience!

I always say Zupas is like Panera Bread, but better. I haven't had a bad experience at Cafe Zupas as of yet. The employees are always nice and I have not had a problem with my food. The only gripe I may have with Cafe Zupas is how stingy they are with their proteins. They put a ridiculously small amount of protein for the size of the bowl or salad, I would say about 2 tablespoons, and if you opt for extra, which they charge you for, they give you only about half of a serving size. That being said, Cafe Zupas is a nice place for lunch with lots of options.

The food is delicious and seems fairly healthy compared to her fast-food alternatives. I find myself going to Zupas when I need something healthy, delicious, and quick. The prices aren't too bad, but portions seem to be getting a bit smaller.

Not sure they deserve even 1 star for the service experienced at this location. I order lunches for numerous events monthly and I have never had such a disappointing experience as I did with this location. Food was late, sandwiches were soggy and the soups were cold. I was told I would be refunded the delivery charge and contacted by the store manager to discuss the situation and neither were followed through on. For a food order over $500 you think you would get at least an apology or some effort to make things right, they did nothing. We will not return to this location for any reason going forward. I'd suggest others avoid it at all costs.

Very good food, quite fast and the staff is pretty expedient. Prices are a tad high for the value. At times the younger Workforce can be pretentious, or unknowingly rude. To this point , prior experience has caused me to detour to Chick-fil-A adjacent to Zupas more than once. If tween and teen banter is annoying to you, there are other locations with a slightly older Workforce such as Foothill same food same ingredients slightly less annoying.

The business partner (I failed to get her name) and another cashier, Victoria, that helped me today were so professional, courteous and kind to me during lunch today. I had a brand new bank card that did not want to work properly, somewhat embarrassing. However, they did not make a scene whatsoever and gave me time to sort out the issue without drawing attention to what was happening. I truly appreciate the way they handled the situation and their willingness to help me. Fantastic customer service! And the food is always great too.

This review is location specific. Zupas has wonderful food, although they would have earned another star If they hadn't discontinued my wife's favorite salad. This review goes to ease of access. My wife is temporarily in a wheelchair following foot surgery. Although this location has easily 300 to 400 parking spaces available to its customers, only two of those spaces are marked for disabled customers. After seeing that both of those spaces were full, we drove around a couple of times trying to find a standard space that would work. I finally nosed into an available standard space, stopping a few feet out to roll my wife down the ramp of the disability van and around to the ramp of the sidewalk where she waited for me while I finished parking the van. The door into the restaurant is also unfriendly to wheelchair customers, but friendly folks on their way in or out of the restaurant were happy to hold the door for us. Once inside, I had to move stanchions to be able to get my wife's wheelchair through the line. When we made it up to the cash register, I saw an employee with a name plate that said Hospitality Manager. Must be the right person to share my story with... No. Although she was initially very congenial, she was not hospitable. Her resolution to my complaint was, "We don't own the property, we just rent here, so we can't do anything about it." She was not willing to get the owners contact information for me (I asked), no offer of a manager's card with whom I can follow up. Just a less than authentic "I'm sorry I can't help you with that," and on to the next paying customer. The crux of the problem is, it looks like they converted two of their four handicap spaces into Online Order Pickup spaces. An easy solution would be to make those two spaces multi-purpose, for both pickup customers and disabled ones. Especially this lady who was helping the drinks and picking up the customer's plates and trays, she's awesome great customer service. She should get promoted for sure. Anyway, I didn't get her name, I remember that she was wearing wonder woman knee socks. I chose create your own salad, large portion for dinner, with grilled chicken breast, shaved Parmesan, fire roasted corn, house chopped greens, sweet chilli broccolini and yuzu miso vinaigrette dressing. And I got free roll and strawberry covered with chocolate. Overall it was great place to dine in. Thank-you Zupas for having me there. We'll be back for more ☺

I do not live close to a Zupa's, but the once every other year or so opportunity that I get to be back in Utah, I always make sure I come. The tomato basil soup is always fantastic (although I am disappointed they no longer have orzo pasta!) and my salad that I have custom-made since 2007 is always incredible. If you are weird/awesome like me: baby field greens, Chipotle ranch, strawberries x 2, cinnamon almonds, tomatoes, pecans, and corn.

Well, I really hate to complain. And I can't even complain about the food, it was good. But I did not enjoy the experience! I was with some older people who don't hear very well, so the noisy atmosphere was just awful for them. I mean they HATED it. They couldn't hear the staff and oddly enough, the staff couldn't hear us very well. We'd shout things across the counter and hope they heard us, then once the girl on the other side actually yelled back rudely that she had asked if we wanted "that", whatever it was, and we had said no. I was thinking, SERIOUSLY?! And when I needed a to-go box, there was no easy way to grab one. I had to either jump in and yell what I needed to a flustered girl taking orders, or wait through a huge line of customers. I think for the price and quality of the food, the ordering experience should be easier and more enjoyable. They could take notes from Noodles, who have a full menu with every ingredient easily visible as you walk in so when you get to the counter you feel like you can order, not stand there looking over their heads, squinting, trying to figure out what you want...

I love the concept, but the food is generally disappointing. I love that they do school fundraisers, which is why we end up going there once a year- For that they get two stars. I'v had some ok soups but the sandwiches are small and flavorless. I would try a salad but the calorie count is twice that of a bowl of soup. Last year at this location we watched an employee handling cash, then food, without changing gloves. This year we watched an employee emptying trash/cleaning, then handling food with the same gloves.

Zupas has been a favorite for many years. We came today to celebrate mother’s day and all of us in the group were so disappointed! They changed the pork BBQ chicken sandwiches.. they aren’t nearly as good. They also got rid of the fluffy rolls. Now they are dense and smashed. So disappointing! If us moms wanted flat rolls, we could stay home and eat the rolls that our toddlers smashed onto the kitchen floor. But yes, very disappointed and wanted to pass it along. Poor choice Zupas! I don’t think any of us are interested in returning until the good stuff comes back. Until then- you’ll miss us!

At my company, one of the usual caterer is Cafe Zupas. Like most chain stores where the food is cliche, I never went out my way to go try them; besides, it free at work. Until today, when I noticed one newly opened in the strip plaza, where I usually stop for lunch (love the variety). This was the last store in the plaza exiting onto 600 East. Outside has a seating area, with tables and chairs for outdoor eating. The interior looks very modern, and clean. I was greeted when entered (they wasn't busy), and immediately assisted with my order. I asked them for specials, and they recommended the combo (sandwich or salad, with soup). I ordered the "Vegetarian With Pesto Spread" on whole wheat bread sandwich, with the roasted red pepper and lobster soup. The team member recommended Croutons with my soup, which I added as a soup essential. It's a standard free add on in many places, but they charged me as "soup mix-in". The soup was very rich and savory, with vegetable and lobster pieces in creamy sweet red pepper base. I added the croutons and scooped it up with the bread roll that came with it-it was delicious. The sandwich was a bit cold (why are vegetarian sandwiches usually cold!) for my liking, the tofu and other veggies didn't mix and stay in the sandwich; there was no emulsifier to hold the content in place, so it just fell apart. It wasn't bad, but I think it would taste better if at least the bread was toasted or warm (next time). The end of the meal was perfect, with the chocolate dipped strawberry that came with the combo. I will return to try their other items, stay tuned till next time!

Unfortunately the staff couldn’t get my gift card to work. Instead of working through the problem, they continued to tell me they got a new system and it wouldn’t work unless IT was called. This is my favorite place to get a quick bite that’s also filling and healthy. The food is always so delicious. I brought my coworker here who had never been to Cafe Zupas before and she LOVED it. I’m a little sad they got rid of the Garden Chicken Chop but I still highly recommend this place

They have decent food. It's all kind of the same. Its expensive for the portion they give which is small. I dont think the value is there. They strong arm you trying to force feed you their soup samples which is stupid. If I want a sample I'll ask. Or maybe offer a sample and wait for me to agree to it before you shove it in my face. I did not like the service. They were not friendly at all.

Yesterday, I arrived at this Location of Zupa's in Murray, Utah a few minutes before they were suposed to open. The doors were unlocked, so I went in to find the staff still working on setting things up for the day. I asked a sweet young lady if it was possible for me to purchase some soup for my son who is in the hospital nearby. Zupa's cauliflower soup was the only commercial soup okayed by his doctors. She graciously filled my order and expressed love and hope for my son. I was deeply touched and grateful! Zupa's has always been one of my favorite restaurants. Now it is at the top of my list! Thank you!

This place has really good food! It is healthy, and has many options. You can customize a salad or order a meal. I recommend this place. I believe most Zupas have drive throughs.

We had a really good meal. They kept our group together for the most part. Only forgot one of 10 meals but it was just set aside some time they got it to us quickly. Food was yummy! Great sandwiches and soup. Salads were super fresh. This is a great location and the customer service is outstanding

Food is all great, I love the mango-berry salad. The knocked star is for the upsells though... As a professional Introvert, I have not been able to use my introvert-powers to get from ordering what I know I want and all I am going to buy, to check-out. You have to face the upsell-gauntlet of questions "what soup can I getcha?", "Do you want to add a special dessert?!", "Do you want to add a drink?" *already setting the cup on my tray* Yeah, I see what youre doing with all the polite offers and chipper sales pitches, but I came in for the food, not these annoying and fake conversations. Let people have an out for all of that and save your employees breath and my ears.

Sal is amazing! It was the busy lunch hour on Saturday and he was happy, smiling, joking, laughing and having fun with customers including me! He was also fast, efficient and accurate on the orders he was making! He made my whole day and was a pleasure to be around! You should hire 10 more employees like him. I am grateful for Sal and for all of the employees at this location who work so hard and effectively to serve me a delicious, fresh, fast and healthy lunch so that I can get back to work! Yet Sal stands out above all of them just because of his positive attitude, calm and easy going nature! He’s just a fun guy to be around! Thank you Sal! You’re awesome!

I look forward to eating here everytime I'm in town. The nuts about berries salad is my favorite and I crave it. The sandwiches are really fantastic and the soup is delicious. Plus we got chocolate covered strawberries with each of our meals. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes a good soup, salad, or sandwich.

I love Zupas, just not this one. I parked I walked out to the street to meet a friend. We ate. When I got back my car had been booted. I even showed the stupid guy my Zupas receipt. He said since I left the property I was fined. It was 5ft! I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!

Not a fan of this location. When I'm paying 9 bucks for a small salad I want some lettuce, some chicken, and some ingredients. They put your lettuce in the bowl, then pick out 1/3 of it. Then they take their 1/4 cup scoop of chicken, then shake out most of it leaving you barely a few scraps. They go to put on a few tomatoes, then shake out most of them. This restaurant is so overly portion conscious, they they completely lose sight of what they are doing. I definitely won't ever come back. Stay away from the Murray Zupas.

The food is absolutely amazing and I always like to leave nice reviews, but I went here on Thursday and I was waiting for the employees to finish their conversations-not work related- to be helped. I had to get my receipt myself and the garbage was piled with trays that still had food on them that were left unattended, but there were plenty of workers all talking behind the counter. I absolutely love that the staff is all happy and talking. But customers should never suffer on account of this.
