This Restaurant is classified in the category of Indian restaurant.
My family and I love Aroma always have always will. The food is wonderful, perfect Indian cuisine and anyone who says differently is crazy.
It doesn't look like a bad place. But at the time I visited it, the service was very slow. Maybe because I was an early costumer, but still, it is not professional.
I enjoy Aroma for business lunch meetings. The environment is great, the services is awesome, and the lunch buffet has a good cross section of value and price. I would like to see a good curry choice in the buffet, but what they do have is tasty.
Friday dinner, King Fisher Indian pale, lamb, chicken, beef, and lentil daahl (my wife). Good service, just the right spice, not cheap, but not expensive.
This is not indian but pakistani - i know some who worked there and they keep it filthy inside - just a lot of stale and frozen stuff warmed up in heavy cream - eat at your own risk
Good food! Good atmosphere. Helpful servers!
The style is slightly different but its the best Indian food we've found so far. Staff is lovely, beautiful styled decor and food is on point.
Very dishonest business. I called in for take out, 2 plates, tried to charge me over $60.00. Buffet is little and old, not fresh.
Food is over priced and okay at best. $4.99 for a small plate of extra rice! What the helll. Two people can't share one tiny plate..... Won't be coming back at all. I honestly don't mind paying for good food! But this is not good food. Update: Went to pay and there was a surcharge. When asked about it they said why should they pay my card fees. I mean okay but why the freak would you not tell me upfront about the fees. Argued for 10 mins before they refunded the fees and called up names walking out.
Nice little Indian restaurant in Draper. The service can be slow at times.
The owner (Obi) is always very friendly! Great service! The food is authentic and delicious! Lunch buffet has never disappointed. He accommodates my dietary needs and always makes me a special mango shake with coconut milk :) Like i said. Great service!
I went for the lunch buffet and all thefood was cold and not fresh, and i mean cold. Im sure they have amazing food when ordered fresh. Skip the lunch buffet $13 and very disappointing
The food isn't very good. The meat was really stringy and tough. I'm not sure I'd give it another try.
I have been here 15 times and I love it. It is the best Indian restaurant in salt lake county. I get the chicken coconut kurma and it s always amazing.
Enjoyed the lunch buffet today, plenty of delicious selections, and the kitchen was fantastic at replacing low food. Samosas were nice and crispy, good amounts of spice in the curry and pakoras. We we're meeting friends from out of state there, and the service was polite and inobstrusive while we caught up and chatted for nearly two hours. Great experience!
My husband and I came for lunch today, on a Saturday. The food was delicious!! Both dishes were servered hot! The service was friendly and helpful because it was my 1st Indian food ever!! We loved it! My husband also had beer with his lunch and he said it was very good! We will be back!!! Togo box for my son!! He loved the food!!
The food is always fantastic and the service is good too. I prefer this to any other Indian restaurant in the area, and we've tried a lot of them. It's rarely too busy so I like that we can get right in even on a weekend.
Service varies, but the food is always great.
High end Indian cuisine. Beats India House any day of the week, and for that matter any other indian restaurant in the valley. Cant touch the quality.
Worst buffet. Never again to this restaurant. Food isn't tasty. Less options. We were the only customers when we visited.
I went there with a handful of coworkers for lunch. We had the buffet. It was pretty good--average for an Indian restaurant. The reason I rated them just below average, was that their prices are pretty high. The lunch buffet was ~$11. I would have guestimated the cost be around $6-$7 in terms of quality. They didn't have a ton of variety, but what they had to offer was pretty good.
I eat here regularly, the service is great since the poor server was fired. The food is fantastic, the owner only cares about his customers and his cooking. Highly recommended!
Excellent food, excellent service everything here is so good. Try the mango lasse it might change your life. Lunchtime buffet is always fantastic, flavorful and equally life changing. Thanks guys!
Great lunch buffet at a decent price, excellent atmosphere
Good food, but very expensive. With $15 a plate I expected large portions and great taste, and got neither. The Monday night I went, took nearly 20 minutes to place our order and get our drinks, and 45 minutes after we finished just to get our check. Either they need a waiter who can handle 4 tables at a time or they need to splurge and have staff for the dinner rush.
Best Indian food in Utah!!
Food was decent, however, we waited 50 minutes from the time we were seated to the time we got our drinks and someone took our order. In that time, 3 groups that had come in after us got their orders taken. I’m not convinced the waiter brought me the right dish, but I was so hungry and sick of waiting that I ate it anyway. If you come here, order your dish ahead of time, take it home, get some naan bread from the store (it’s way overpriced here), and make your own rice. Very disappointed. Beautiful place, terrible service.
Nice place, the staff was great, good food!
The food is so incredible, the staff is friendly and I love bringing my friends here. My favorite resteraunt in draper by far.
Aroma is okay, but there are many other Indian restaurants to choose from. I'll continue to explore the other Indian places in Draper, and won't be returning to Aroma. Pros: Demure service Cons: Mediocre food, wait was longer than it should have been - we were the only people in the restaurant on a week night.
Friendly staff, food is good, but nothing you can't get at any other indian place
Limited items in buffet which is fine but service was not stellar either. Took forever to bring a glass of water to a point I went and got a glass of water myself. Worse part was the plates were drenching wet. There are definitely better Indian restaurants around.
This is the "Best" Indian food, and I have eaten in India!
So good. I have been going there for years and the food and smell is always fantastic. I am sorry about the picture, but that was all that was left of a Rogan Gosht. Go get your own, or order your own with DoorDash.
My family and I had the pleasure of eating at Aroma Indian Cuisine over the weekend. Obi and His wife Roma took care of us , My family and I felt like we were at their own home having dinner together. Obi made us feel like we were part of his family. The food was amazing but even better was the company that we felt. My family and I will be returning to eat here again. Thank you Obi , Roma and Adam !!!!
Love this place! Been here for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. The owner is personable and funny. Everyone should come here!
Very tasty and fresh food, portions are not as large as other restaurants offer but still worth visiting.
I do not recommend this restaurant. Food was decent but overpriced. The garlic naan wasn’t good at all. The rice comments from other reviews are true. They didn’t serve enough rice for the two dishes we ordered and charged us $4 for extra rice. Service was great though, the waitress was very nice and helpful. Watch out when you pay by credit card, they pass on the credit card fees to you (~$3), you’ll see it on the receipt and when you ask, you’ll get a BS explanation from the owner. I love Indian food but I won’t go back there.
Chicken Aloo was amazing! Service was fast and very friendly. Highly recommend.
I give 3 stars because my husband and I had drastically different opinions. We did the lunch buffet and I had the best coconut korma I've ever had. It had the stronger coconut flavor that I like. My husband had the chicken curry which said it was boneless chicken, but all it had was bone filled chicken legs that were really hard to eat. He also didn't love the chicken Tikka masala which is usually a fail safe when it comes to Indian food.
Very pricy, I can get twice as much for the same price !! Average taste, certainly not worth the price. Very hard to find this place during night time. No plans to go there again.
Delicious food. Even better this last time. Generous portions. Friendly wait staff. A bit over-priced. I would definitely go again! Suggestions: Do not have staff or staff kids eating in the restaurant. Replace fake red roses with more upscale silk flowers in a color that does not clash with the restaurant's decor.
Happened to see this place while driving by and decided to stop for dinner. OMG!!! The BEST naan bread I've ever had. Took a bit for the food, but was SO worth it. It was my 1 year old grandsons first time eating Indian and he kept signing for more and saying "mmmmm". When we were done he also picked up every piece of rice he could from the table to eat. The tempura type onion rings were delicious. It's 20 + miles from where I live, but I'd drive there to eat any time.
The owner is amazing and hilarious him and his suggestions are why I come back. This guy is amazing and so is his naan bread gotta try every flavor!!!
We had two veggie dishes and both were lacking flavor and didn't taste fresh. The portions were very small, especially considering the dishes were $14 each. The atmosphere was lonely, as only a few other people were there on a Friday night.
One of the best places for great Indian fare! Friendly staff!
Very fast meal prep. Good menu options. Good portion sizes. Menu is a little more pricey than others, but it is WELL worth it! A great cook works at this fine gourmet Indian restaurant! Second best indian ive ever had.
The food was average, as was the service (the server came back once to fill water glasses, but that was it). However, of the three of us who had the EXACT SAME thing—lunch buffet and water—I found out after it was too late that one person was charged $14, one was charged $16, and one was charged $19. This place is a rip-off.
The food was absolutely fantastic! Don't come here if you want to rush, the owner makes everything from scratch with fresh ingredients and spices! It's totally worth the wait and you won't be disappointed! We will be telling everyone about this place!
It was really good fresh food! Everything was handmade. I will definitely be going back.
I had paneer jalfrezi here and next day morning, I had severe stomach ache .
Delicious food. Was not busy on a weeknight at all and we were the only ones. Good however came out quickly
I have always had good food and service here, but it's been awhile since I've been here. My husband and I took our son out to dinner last night. Atmosphere was pleasant. Service was wonderful! Our server was so friendly, happy and very helpful. Our food was amazing! I loved every dish we ordered. Everything was fresh and spices were done to perfection. I will definitely be back and soon! Highly recommend this place.
I really like this place. They have a good selection and very delicious food. I like the variety and the many flavors that they have
The atmosphere was awesome. The food was excellent, the service was rather slow. Probably wouldn't have been an issue, but we needed to be on our way and it took a very long time to get our boxes and check.
Friendly, attentive staff. Excellent vegetable masala, chicken tikka, condiment sauces and fresh naan! We’ll definitely dine here again.
Best Indian food in Utah! Obi, the owner is kind, and has a sweet countenance. Our food was supurb!! The Coconut Kurma is excellent!! We will definitely be regulars:)
This place was great. We had a party of 20 that they accommodated great. The chicken coconut korma was amazing. Service was great and super friendly. They let us bring in a birthday cake even. Definitely worth coming back.
Clean and delicious!
The food is AMAZING. The owner is a super nice guy and provides great service.
The food was delicious and the service was great. I'll definitely be coming back.
Great food.
Thought about going to cafe Guru but wanted to support the underdog ARoma Indian. I got the most basic Tikka Masala i've ever had and i've been to a lot of indian restaurants. AND it cost literally twice as much as Cafe Guru. Please go anywhere else.
The place was empty on a Friday night. Not a popular place. I doubt it will last much longer. It's a bad combination of poor to mediocre Indian food combined with high prices. Ok/good Naan Chicken coconut kurma Chicken Briyani Bad: Shrimp Tikka Masala Saag Paneer Tandoori roti Kheer Gulab Jamun
I love it. I have been back here many times. Dont miss out on a great little place.
The owner was very personable, and all the dishes we picked the flavors were unique and delicious! This Indian restaurant is my new favorite.
Best Butter Chicken, Naan and Service!!
Service is wonderful, staff is always welcoming and kind, and of course the food is worth every penny!
I've eaten at every Indian food restaurant in Salt Lake and Utah County, and Aroma may be the best. Unlike many Indian restaurants, they use fresh produce, which adds a freshness hard to find anywhere else. Their curries and masalas are home-made, unique, and delicious. To top it off, they aren't terribly busy. Friendly tips: try dipping the peshwari naan into the tiki masala. I don't know why, but the culmination of flavors blew my mind. Also, check their open and closing times; they have weird hours.
Excellent food, excellent service, great prices
Great lunch buffet...delicious food.
$15 to $20 dishes
Our first visit, we have thought on Our stoping for years now. While the food and service were good, the building seemed cold.
Very poor service. Food can be very good and very poor. Depends on the day. Over priced.
I was sadly underwhelmed by the food and service here. When my friend and I arrived, an employee was talking to the only two guests in the restaurant. He would not acknowledge us and it took a full 4 minutes for him to do so. After seating us he went back to the conversation. My friend who raved about the place was as disappointed as I was. We spent over 60.00 and I such diners remorse that I need to right this by going to a great Indian restaurant to assuage my guilt. I will not be a repeat customer.
Great food, great people! I highly recommend Aroma!!
Very good food - but very poor value. They are also ridiculously stingy with the amount of rice they give you to go along with an entree.
I like it. Good texture and flavor
Really like the food here. The service is sometimes a little slow or sketchy, but was not in a hurry. They make a very good Vindaloo
Absolutely delicious!
Great friendly service, wonderful food, Indian Cuisine is now my favorite!
This place has some of the best Indian food I've had and it's right in my back yard! Their food is always fresh and the people who run the place are so nice every time I go in there.
Lamb saag and coconut korma were great - shrimp appetizer not so much
Went, on a slow night. I literally was the only one there. The food was fresh and incredible. I asked if they had any limeade's. He said no but would make me one anyway. He said walking away "I am a creator". It made me smile. What he brought back was to my liking. Who does that? Customer service and food was amazing!
Good food, poor service. This place is WAY understaffed. We ordered drinks, appetizer, and food right away. The main dish came before the appetizer, and we waited another 15 minutes to get our drinks (nothing fancy, just diet coke). Another couple waited over 20 minutes after being seated to get a high chair they requested. They waited another 20 minutes for someone to take their order. Our meal was great, but man was it SLOW!
Most Terrible place ever seen in utah. Very very poor and bad service.Horrible malai kofta ever eaten. They have no sense of indian cooking top of that they are extremely rude with the customers. Never go here there are 100 other places to visit who serve there customer good food with politeness. We tried this place two times both the times the food was disappointing and second time we were treated very rudely. They have no manners on how to treat there customers.
Fair at best. Mine was pretty good but all sauces were very bland. My wife shrimp coconut curry was quite sad, shrimp were the small salad shrimp. Not a good choice, but oh well we will live!
My first experience with Indian food. I can't confirm how 'authentic' it's supposed to taste. But I'll tell you something. This stuff was GOOD. I went for the lunch buffet and I tried everything they had. A lot of the food looks similar but has different tastes of course. I'm pretty well blown away. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding. You can taste how much care went in to preparing these dishes. Also they serve different dishes every day. I'll be looking forward to coming here again and again. If you're hesitant, give it a try. You won't be disappointed! Edit: It's been over 2 years since I reviewed Aroma. We've come many times and I've tried other Indian food from many different places. It is indeed authentic food. Seriously the best Indian food you can buy is here at Aroma. Still love this place and had lunch here again today!
This place was very disappointed to me, after reading most of the positive reviews online, I was shocked to find out how bad the food was. There was an indian guy in there, that was the only guy they served and care about not any other customers in there. I might go there again just to see if they improve but it was a waste of my time today.
Great Indian food and friendly service
Ordered chicken tikka masala it was curry chicken not even a hint of tomato garlic naan was great ordered to go no plates spoons or forks not even a napkin
Great food! Excellent service!
The service was fantastic and the food very good (besides the strange naan bread, which is $2 for a very small piece of bread), but it was a little bit overpriced. The rice dishes are very small, and you only get one per serving; you pay for more, which is unfortunate. Good food, just a few downsides.
This place has AMAZING. Obi was such a treat to meet and provided excellent food, service and a story with a genuine smile. Coming back!
My coworkers and I go here every week, we love it! Each item in the lunch buffet has its own unique flavor, which I find is rarely true at Indian restaurants. The owner is very friendly and always makes us feel welcome, I can't recommend it enough!
Best Indian food and clean restaurant ever I highly recommend it for everyone specially for couples
Aroma is so so good. I double dog dare you to get some chicken from bombay house and one from aroma. NO CONTEST. And the mango lassi???? OH man amazing. Love this place.
I hate giving such a low rating because the food was delicious and the owner was very nice. But I woke up several times throughout the night violently sick from the chicken Tikka Masala. I work and travel out of a van, so each time I had to wake up and quickly drive to a gas station. Bummer
If you love Indian food, this is the best place! It is wonderful, and you won't be disappointed! Thanks again!!!
I've always liked coming here for lunch. It's not too far from work, the staff has always been incredibly polite and helpful. Normally I order from the menu as I typically prefer hotter dishes than a buffet typically provides. The food has always been great and when your conversation at the table is punctuated with comments about just how fresh everything tasted, it is a nice reminder to come back. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. It is a true favorite of mine.
Great food and service.
A little pricy for a lunch buffet, but the food was pretty good.
Terrible!!! The worst place i have chosen to dine in my entire life, it is not only because of the food they serve but is also because of the rude and the most terrible customer service, here is an example, this guy who works there was compelling me to write the tip which he actually wanted and didn't take what I offered him which was pretty shocking to me because i have never seen a guy ask me like that, pretty cheap and worst behavior. Very high Pricing, not tastier, low quantity of food for the price they offer & again very rude customer service which i have never experienced in my life till now & never will I guess. I will never visit this place again and I recommend the same of all the people who loves quality food & humble I repeat "Humble" customer service. If you ask me to rate this place I will give 0 out of 10.
Good Indian buffet for lunch and out of 4 times going only once was it not great(little cold)
My whole family loves the food. Aroma is a family restaurant and they make the food fresh every day. Nothing is frozen. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but don't be in a hurry, enjoy yourself.
The food is good but not excellent. Royal India is better. The lunch buffet is over priced.
I didn't enjoy their food....Buffet was so expensive and the quality wasn't good.....
I'm going this 2 stars because I loved this place a few years ago. They used to have such an extensive lunch buffet at a reasonable price. I would have come back much sooner if I had any friends who enjoyed Indian Food. We stepped in today to check things out and the buffet looked so sparse. They have moved things around inside since my last visit also. The LUNCH buffet is now $12.99 and held only half as may items as they had a few years ago when it was so delicious. There is NO WAY that buffet was worth that money and seeing was believing. Maybe their main menu items are to die for so good for them but for those wanting to taste many items on the menu it's just way too much money to ask for a LUNCH buffet.
Had the lunch buffet, and to be fair it was right before they took it down to prepare for dinner menu items. But... there wasn't much rice left, so that made me sad. The food was pretty good, though they were all fairly similar items. Perhaps I just went on the wrong day, but I love to see some variation, like saag in there. But the food was decent. We were the only ones in there and the server was very friendly, walked us through all of the dishes on the buffet, made us some fresh naan (which was more like pizza crust in my opinion. Good, but not authentic tasting). And then left us to eat. So, it wasn't the best Indian food I've ever had, but my friend licked her plate clean and this was her first experience with the cuisine, so to me that says a lot! Go, but don't expect to be blown away. Good thing is they are open for lunch, we were going to go to Bombay House but those buggers weren't open.
Delicious food and friendly owner. Love this place.
Because I was hungry one lunchtime after visiting my eye doctor, I happened up this place, and thought it was excellent -- about the best Indian food I've had, and that's saying a lot because I love Indian food. Since that day, I've had two lunches here with friends, and it's always excellent. It's also quiet and warm, never overcrowded, a great place to chat and eat.
Excellent lunch buffet .
Great tasting, wonderful service.
Way over priced and food is no good. Especially lunch buffet
Great service and great food you will not leave unsatisfied or hungry!
One of our favorite Indian food restaurants in Utah. The owner is amazing and very friendly. Food is delicious.
Mediocre and high price for a lunch buffet. Food cool for first ones in.
Lots of better Indian food in the area. Very expensive for mediocre quality and poor service.
Great lunch buffet.
We got overcharged for our lunch Owner wouldn't change price
My favorite Indian place. One of my first experiences with Indian food. Absolutely delicious! When I'm looking for a nice, mid-priced meal and I want an awesome curry, Aroma is my go-to!
Best place to enjoy real Pakistani food, Especially BBQ!
Excellent food, needs better service. If you open at 5pm then be ready at 5, don't ask me to call back.
Best Indian food our family has had. Derive was quick, food was fresh, and service was excellent. Highly Recommend!
Aroma is so amazing such great food also had such amazing friendly service I really love amroma and I think everyone should try it out
Hidden gem. Great food and service.
Tried 4 different dishes, all different, all EXCELLENT. Service was impeccable... nicely done
This place is awesome. Never too busy, great service. Sometimes if the resturant is full it takes a little longer to get the check. Very clean, and the food is great. My favorite Indian resturant that I have been to in the area.
Ok food, no wait
Only two other people were there for the lunch buffet. Food was very plain, service was non existent. Never cleaned off our plates even when they walked by.
Over priced for the kind of food..... Especially, if you are vegitarian.. I would not recommend this restaurant for that price.
Great service and food. Very friendly staff.
Great lunch buffet for $12
You can taste how much she loves to cook in her food. The food is SOOOO good and the service is attentive and friendly.
I thought this was a really good place for Indian food here in Draper. I had some friends in from out of town and we occupied about a 1/3 of the restaurant and the staff was awesome and got our food quickly. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
I love their lunch all you can eat buffet, I bring clients and family here often.
I've been going to this restraunt since I was a child. I know the owners personally, and they put their heart and soul making their food. Everything is fresh and organic. Ican honestly say this is the best Indian food you'll get in Utah.
I wanted to give them a little love as I met the couple that owns the place and found them excellent hosts. I think if you are looking for good food for lunch then the buffet is worth it.
Waited 60 minutes for a pick up order...after they told us it would be 20 minutes. Definitely reconsidering dining here in the future.
Great staff. Beautiful environment. Best food and spices in the valley.
Great experience. Tasty food and top-notch service!
We've always driven by this place, and finally decided to dine here. I'm so glad we did. The chicken tikka masala was amazing. We asked for medium+ on the spiciness, and it was perfect. We'll come again!
Mine and my hubbys first date! A perfect romantic and fun cultural choice!
Worst service experience, ok ok food. I won't suggest anyone to go and try
Staff was very friendly, food came out quickly on a Saturday night, and was very delicious
delicious, fresh, and great service
Best naan I've ever had. Wow
Absolutely delicious. Used to eat here when I worked close. Have been in a while but went to tonight and it is dtsti fantastic. The naan is the best!
Best Indian in the South Valley area. Tandoori Chicken and fresh Vegetarian choices.
The food is good, but seems pricey for lunch.
After reading all the reviews of this place, it made me feel a little iffy, but when we got there, the people were totally friendly, so not to sure what the reviews were all about bad customer service, they were great, they came and ask if everything was good, if there was anything they could do for us, etc...the gentleman was very sweet and so was the hostess, And the food was amazing, we love Indian food, I love the chicken korma and my husband loves the lamb curry, we will totally be going back to this place!!
Awesome Curry. Slow service.
The food was PERFECT! Our server was kind and humorous, really fun! This place seems to be a family owned business. It’s local and yet it takes you to India as soon as you walk in. The lights are low, the music is soft, and the colors and flavors are extravagant! Their Lassi is the best and most flavorful I’ve ever had. For my husband, they had a perfectly mild option which he loved! I prefer the spice and I got it! We shared one curry and 2 naans, it left us both another meal to take home as left overs. I recommend their garlic naan ;) It was overall a Pleasent experience.
Delicious food! Surprisingly not busy. Attentive staff.
food was delicious, service was very fast, and staff was truly delightful.
Best Indian (and best ethnic food period) that I've found in Salt Lake. It rivals the best that I've had in DC and NYC. Hard to believe it's located in a almost totally run down strip mall in Draper of all places. A definite must for those looking for something different from the standard meat and potato restaurants that dominate the valley.
Food was good, but felt tricked into buying more than we thought we were buying. Watch out for that.
