A group of us were travelling in McAllen, and I saw the Rodizio. I had eaten at the one in Milwaukee, and told the group what it was like, and they all said yeah, lets go! It was a Monday evening about 8:30 PM, so it was slow. We were seated just off the salad bar and near the broil kitchen. The salad bar was fantastic with many items to chose from, salads, soups, breads, and meats. Then they started to bring out the food. Since we were right next to the kitchen window, we always got first choice of all of the meats! As things started to slow down after what seemed like a ton of meat, the server asked if there was anything specific that we wanted more of. That was a nice touch. Everything was just great

I give two stars based on the entire experience. Upon arriving we noticed the parking lot was almost empty which should've altered us to something. We walked in and were promptly seated and greeted. We waited around for about 5-10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us at our table and were seated near the very large glass wall which is very annoying to face because its very bright and the restaurant was kinda hot maybe because we were pretty dressed up or just ac was not at full power since the place was almost empty. Once a waiter took our drinks he kindly explained how the restaurant works and we started the full Rodizio meats. We first ate the fish - tilapia, then chicken, bbq ribs, center sirloin, parmesan chicken, picaña, sasuage, and top sirloin. From the moment we were first offered fish we knew it was not going to go well. All the meats were chewy and rather tasteless. But the staff was really kind and attentful after acknowledging us. We had been to a similar, definately better version of this type of restaurant in Houston, Fogo de Chão. When looking at the menu prices at Rodizio before going we were surprised why it was so cheap compared to the Fogo but as we found out it was because the quality of meats do not compare. The 28 dollars per person we paid was definately not worth it for the quality of meat. We had only one round of each meat and disliked each so we decided that it wasn't worth it and paid the check and headed elsewhere for dessert. At Fugo we had several rounds of each because the meat was so flavorful and cooked perfectly that we wanted more. I am not the type of person who regularly spends 28 dollars on a single meal per person but when the occassion calls for it I would gladly pay triple that if the quality is there, and for my party it was simply not there. The only item we were satisfied with was the brazilian lemonade which was exceptional.

Let me first say that I have eaten at a few Brazillian steakhouses in my day. Compared to them, the selection of meats delivered to the table and the service is somewhat less than what one would expect. The beef is limited to three cuts of sirloin and even though good, they were under-seasoned and overcooked. When I requested a medium-rare cut, the restaurant was able to comply, but it took a while to get there. The salad bar is also more limited than others I have eaten at. However, the cost for lunch turned out to be only 20 bucks a person! So, if you lower your expectations and simply enjoy the food, you will walk away satisfied.

Very elegant restaurant with very good customer service. We were greeted as we arrived and as we left as well. For people that have never gone to the restaurant you must wait to be seated. This is like a buffet restaurant, there is a salad bar, as well as kids food such as chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese. As you are seated you are given a item that one said is green and the other is red. If the green is up staff will go by the table with a long stick that has either beef or chicken etc and it will be offered to you. If you are done eating or just dont want staff to offer you more food you will have to turn the item to red and they will stop offering food. I really recommend the strawberry lemonade it is very delicious, it has milk which is something different for me however I enjoyed it a lot. Overall it is a great restaurant that I will go again in the future.

Very nice restaurant. I used a Groupon ($59.99 for two) and included in my Groupon deal was two unlimited plates (meats/ salad bar), four drinks (non-alcoholic), and desert for two. With the Groupon, this was an out of this world deal. Without the Groupon, it would have probably costs over $125 total. Which is still justifiable under the right occasion.

This place is amazing. So many interesting things to try! Everything is seasoned very well, and the cuts are beautiful, tender, magnificently cooked. It's pricey, but the saying "you get what you pay for" applies so well. If you're going to get a steak dinner somewhere, come here instead of any other place. You can have so much steak, and the opportunity to try things you might not have otherwise ordered. There's a full array of sides and salads to choose from to satisfy any craving. I had the best meal of my life here, and I will definitely come back. Thank you so much to the staff, who were helpful and very nice!

The experience was very bad. The service was well below average. I sat for 15 minutes and only one person actually came by my table. I counted at least 13 servers walking by. Granted, there were several large parties going on, but there is no reason why they couldn't come by to offer any product. I asked for a manager and let him know that I would like to leave. He tried to charge me full price. I gave the hostess a healthy tip, due to the fact she was the only one who seemed to care and show empathy. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING TO THIS DISAPPOINTING VENUE.

Nice to have this option in McAllen. Not as good as I’ve had in Houston, but good food, overall well prepared meats, and an “ok” salad. I wasn’t as impressed with the salad. All of they're meats were raw dripping blood we asked for well done and never got to us. Very posh, paid about $75 for 2 people. Went as a large group with others. Food was well cooked but surprised to see chunks of fat on some meats. Great salad bar, ok sides. I didn't get the time to eat much as I was tending to my little one so I missed many rounds for more meat and only had one small-served plate lol

We visited the restaurant this Sunday afternoon and we have never felt so unwelcome the waiter staff was debating who would great us. When they figured it out and finally found seated us we sat there for 15 min and not a single person came to take our drink order or much less to start the serving . Food was horrible visited with my wife on our anniversary and was not impressed at all with the quality of the food and service. Basically paid 75.00 dollars for a warm salad and cold sides which was basically cold old rice and mashed potatoes with a few slithers of meat. Will never visit your establishment again and will deter people not to either if they want a horrible experience like the one I had.

Servers running around to deliver grilled meats on a skewer makes for a fun evening. This large restaurant is attractive, and the servers were friendly and attentive as the went around offering all kinds of goodies from the grill- beef, pork, chicken (breast and hearts) and pineapple. The salad bar is plentiful, and the ceviche there is spicy and tasty. The "all-you-can-eat" approach makes Rodizio's a bit expensive, but worth it if you cole with a good appetite. I would recommend this place for a different take on a steak house.

The food was so delicious and the staff was so friendly. Our servers were kind enough to walk us through the process, and even went as far as to ask us what kind of meat we preferred. My only complaint was that the meats were a little repetetive but we did go when it was slower (so they probably didnt have the full menu out yet). I do plan on going back soon, however, and I'll probably change my rating to a perfect one.

This place isn't for the faint of heart; go big or go home. It's a Feast of Meats every day here. The salad bar is pretty good for the rabbits in your group, as well. They have a great selection of meats to choose from: simply too many to list. They have a bar here, too. The service was excellent, as well. The decor and setup is nice and it is very clean inside.

Food was delicious and even a bit exotic at times, the salad bar had many different options. Our server didn't explain how the process worked, so we were left to figure it out on our own. Overall he could've been more attentive as we only saw him twice throughout our duration there. Nonetheless it was a good experience, I would/will come back. Good option for a date night, and not as expensive as most Brazilian steak houses.

This is the 3rd Rodizio Grill I have visited. Salt Lake city UT. Fort Collins CO. And now McAllen TX. All are good and worth the visit. We paid over $29 per person for the full Rodizio, which may seem a little pricey but you do get to eat ALL you can.

I went there for lunch, it was my first time here. I normally go to a Fogo de Choa place. This one was about 80% as good, but $20 instead of $35 for lunch. As such, it was a great deal! The food was flavorful and the service good- just not quite as good in either category then Fogo. Great value!

Great for special occasions. There is a meat buffet option, as well as a salad/pasta bar option. The meat servers will remember your preferences if you tell them, such as "no pork", "no chicken hearts", "medium rare". On the down side, some meat servers sometimes skip certain tables, why is beyond me. Management could solve enforce communication between the waiter and meat server because meat servers will not start to offer meats to a table until told to do so.
