Nice ambience and service. The fresh focaccia bread was phenomenal. Disappointed that the Tuna Niçoise salad had canned tuna. It was explained to me that they switched it about four weeks ago in order for the dish to be more authentic as it is served in Nice. Well, this ain’t Nice and if you’re charging $21 for a tuna Niçoise salad you better give me a piece of seared fresh tuna. The waiter assured me that it was “top of the line” canned tuna. Classic dishes evolve over time as access to fresher and better ingredients become available. Please change it back, take it off the menu or reduce the price. If I wanted to eat canned food I’d stay at home. We tried three of the desserts and liked them all.

Chocolate Souffle was horrible inspite of being being their star dessert complete waste of money on dessert, my chicken was cooked well.waiters were courteous and ambience is good...but not worth the price tag and definitely not french food somewhat a mix of american and european cuisine.

We had the opportunity to reserve a table at la Table, a new dining experience for us. The offerings are a modified French theme plated beautifully and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the duck and steak (split both) and it was perfect. The pre meal martinis are about as cold as one could tolerate. Forget trying to save room for desert but the chocolate soufflé was brilliant coupled with Fresh pressed coffee. Our French host came by the table repeatedly to check on our dining experience. In closing, the decour, and atmosphere were very well matched. This is a must repeat dining destination for us.

Your date will thank you. Maybe not a place you take the guys to and watch a game together, but you really can't go wrong if you're taking a girl here. My wife and I went there last weekend for a nice date. You can eat downstairs which is a little more casual, or you can eat upstairs which is more formal. We ate downstairs and it was great. The food was outstanding, and all of the staff were super helpful and very professional. We asked our waiter what to order, as we wanted to make sure we didn't limit ourselves to what we already knew. He picked out a fish dish (I couldn't even tell you the name and it wasn't on the menu) and I believe the short rib. We also got the avocado and cucumber salad, which was awesome and unique, even for a guy. For dessert we got some strawberry and ice cream thing, and it was excellent. I really don't think you can go wrong at this place, everything we ate was good. They were so nice that as we were leaving, they left us with a box full of goodies to enjoy the next day. Different pastries and desserts. I don't know if this is normal, but it left an impression on us for sure. I'm a guy who's idea of heaven is a medium rare steak and a chocolate chip cookie, but La Table is unique. It's rare, even among all the high-end options around Houston. My wife will never forget our dinner there. To her it may have been the best place she's ever eaten at.

This place is one of the best restaurants in Houston. It is elegant, chic, and very sophisticated. The food is phenomenal it is French cuisine. I went there for my birthday celebration and I was treated very well. Their wine list is award-winning. It is a bit pricey but as the old saying goes, you pay for what you get. This restaurant is a must for any special occasion.

Came here for Houston Restaurant Month for lunch. For appetizer, I got the FRISÉE LARDONS SALAD. Overall, it had a nice flavor profile. I did think it was a bit too acidic for my liking. For main course, I got the Salmon with saffron broth. I enjoyed it quite a lot. They prepared the salmon medium as I requested. The broth went well with the salmon and was not overpowering. Service was great as always. Quick and friendly staff. Interior was clean and well maintained. Lunch was pretty filling.

Had really high expectations of the joint and it was good. Service wasn’t as high quality or attentive to the details as you would expect. We ate upstairs early so the place was empty. Crab salad was delicious, short ribs average, wine selection excellent. Really liked the vibe and space. The prices were on the very high end of even what you’d expect in NYC. I enjoyed it but unlikely to return except to try downstairs. Burgers looked delicious.

Fantastic place. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in France and the service is excellent! We had the salmon tartare to start, and the lobster rigatoni and prime beef filet as our main course. Everything was delicious, the meat was so tender and cooked to perfection! The lovely evening was finished off with a millefeuille for dessert! We will definitely be coming back!

In Houston it is hard to say something is "the best." We live in a city with unbelievable food--however, La Table is perfect from location, customer service and of course the food. I highly recommend La Table to anyone looking for a true fine dining experience with a meal as good as sitting in a restaurant in Lyon or Paris. I look forward to many more visits.

The atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly, and the prices are good. Now that that's out of the way, let's focus on the food! Oh my goodness, but the food is delicious. The menu has a lot of different choices, and you cannot go wrong with any of them. Everyone in our party tried something different and each person loved their dish and shared it with others. All the food was well prepared and presented. The flavors in each were very rich and filling. We will definitely come back to this location!

Fantastic high quality Mexican food. Don't expect nachos and salsa here. Try the scallops or the octopus dish. They are awesome. My sister and I shared a variety of smaller plates so that we can sample more. Everything was so well prepared and so wonderfully flavorful.

Theres parking in the back. HRW: still hungry. A steal for $35. Keep in mind that the duck portion has decreased for HRW. foie gras was okay, crab lump was much better. Duck was amazing and small. Creme brulee was perfection. soufflé had a lot of chocolate, very overwhelming. Wine pairings weren't worth it, like a 3 oz pour. This place is over staffed, but I liked it.

We really liked it, but they changed the menu and increased the prices a lot. Brunch menu is way smaller. No more Kougloff (which was great). It was expensive already, now it's just not worth it. The avocado toast was $14, they increased it to $18. Online they still had the old menu, so I compared them: in the new menu they added smoked salmon to the description, we thought that would explain the extra $4. We ordered it, the waiter told us later it was an error on the menu. No salmon, just the price change on the old avocado toast. Poached eggs were overcooked. They brought us two more eggs to correct this, but if you are charging $18 for an avocado toast, you'd better nail it. They just don't. The cheese souffle is awesome. The best I've ever had. Small, expensive, but it's really delicious. Chapeau! to the chef. I think too many good reviews and being listed in local rankings might have motivated these changes. Advice to management: Go back to your old menus/prices, otherwise you'll stop making the cut on these lovely local rankings.

Not worth it! Ordered the Steak and Fries and got a cup of fries and 6 very small sushi pieces of steak (less than 6oz). I don’t care what cut of meat it is but for $32 not worth it!

Made a last minute reservation this morning as soon as I woke up on Open Table and got a reservation for 11:30am. They seated us on the 2nd floor which was completely different from the 1st. It was very fancy with nice group seating. Our server was sweet and super enthusiastic about the food and menu. She gave us a nice detailed menu explanation that was thorough. Our group decided to order the brunch items and salad. I loved the salmon eggs Benedict with a side of avocado! It was excellent! The hollandaise sauce was perfect and it came with a small side salad and roasted finger potatoes. The French toast was very unique. It had a custard taste that was crispy in the outside and moist in the inside. It was sweet and a perfect dessert with my coffee. A manager went around to each table to check in on the guest, which was nice and the assistant server/ bus boy was very attentive and super friendly. I loved it! It was a great place for brunch and not too expensive.

My experience at La Table was pretty good, we’ve ordered different dishes from appetizer to main course, the quinoa salad, Sliders and the mushroom ravioli were delicious, we’ve ordered as well the the garden salad which I wouldn’t recommend if you’re already ordering the quinoa, and the truffle flatbread which doesn’t have a rich taste of truffle but it wasn’t bad, The ambiance and atmosphere was lovely, the interior designer have done a great job. The Service was little slow. I would highly recommend the place if you’re celebrating an occasion, good value for money.

We dined in the upstairs Chateau portion of the restaurant. The beef filet, while seasoned well, was not Cooked properly. I ordered medium and it came medium, medium-well, and well done depending on which portion was cut into. The beans were al dente at best and it came with 7 ( I counted) sliced green beans. For $52. My dining partners, ordered the branzino fish. It was a slither with a few sliced potatoes for $40. They said it tasted good, however they also went to go pick up a burger after put dinner meeting. If anything you are paying for the experience not the meal. Experience was good though.

This is an exquisite French dining experience in Houston. The decor is modern chic with a French influence, and the atmosphere is of quiet refinement. From the appetizer menu, the seafood tasting is a delicious combination of raw oysters, salmon tartare, and jumbo lump crab. The ribeye steak is a tomahawk bone-in that's done flambe tableside with flaming cognac. It is by far one of the best steaks I've ever had! Service is excellent, as you might expect of a fine dining experience. My server was also able to help guide me through the extensive wine list. On the whole, I can't recommend this place enough!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at La Table. The atmosphere was great, but we were disappointed they did not have the Cowboy Ribeye. We were looking forward to having it and were let down when they told us they were out. When you make your reservation, you may want to let them know if you want either of the Tableside Classics for Two.

This restaurant was one of my favorite, it also has a beautiful Christmas tree & nutcracker this year. We were looking forward taking pic here after brunch today. But this time, the restaurant really disappointed us. 1. No brunch seats for me. I made a reservation many days ago but we were taken to upstairs & they don't provide brunch. 2. After discussed to the manager, we got seats downstairs for brunch. But here are more problems: A. No menu, no plates for us unless we asked. Long waiting time was nonsense. B. I ordered hot water with lemon took over 15mins & nothing came. I ordered again to another waiter! C. Our brunch, two dishes, took over 1 hour, nothing came…… I asked the manager & she told me "check them", after another 10-min waiting time, I just left money & left the restaurant. We couldn't wait just two dishes brunch over 1 hour! I know they have a "Brunch with Santa" event here & may busier than usual, but nothing could be an excuse for such disappointing service.

Where do I even begin to review for this fantastic Restaraunt. Mechlin chef Joel Robouchon did a great job setting it up. Ambience: once you get out of your car, immediately you start feeling being in a exotic country. If you come in a bit humid day, sitting outside will be an excellent choice. Inside the Restaraunt, the decor made you feel like you entered an art gallery. All the pastries displayed in front of you just made you drool non stop. Creative designed chocolates with different shapes and bright color just made me want to take them all. Downstairs is called marche, more casual and great for small group of people. Love the wall decorations with gold frames, with wood benches, it reminds me of breakfast at the Tiffany somehow. Upstairs is called the Chateu. It's more for formal dining. We had our brunch here. Love the scenery that the huge window brought us. Dishes you have to get: 1. French toast. 2. Crab salad. 3. Lobster Bisque

Everything is delicious here. Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque, and braised short rib. The house made ice creams and sorbets are also amazingly good. The servers are fast and thoughtful. Live music really added to the relaxed ambiance. We went on a Saturday, and I believe our waiter said they have live music on Friday too. This was a wonderful experience. And I highly recommend to anyone wanting to dine at a nice place.

Terribly disappointed. For a meal that cost me $165 (for myself), I have got to say this restaurant missed the mark. Plates were delayed, food was average, had to ask for bread (there’s a bakery onsite)... really tragic. The hype - that’s precisely what you’ll read in the below reviews - is well engineered by folks who steer the sheep of Houston’s eating scene in a never ending cycle of fecklessness.

Fabulous! Chic, sophisticated and refreshing decor. We sat on the first floor at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance of the music and deliciously crafted cocktails. An exciting menu for both food and cocktails to select from. We enjoyed the salmon tartare. Exquisite!! While the food and drinks are definitely pricey, I am always ok to pay top dollar if justified. This is one of those places. The servers and bartenders were excellent in their service. The dangerously tempting macarons on entering the restaurant is also a fun and welcomed addition. The availability of valet parking was also very appreciated.

My first time to la table last night. I met a long time friend for happy hour and stayed till well past dinner. My waiter, Micheal M. was absolutely wonderful. He was very tentative and made sure our needs were taken care of without interrupting our conversations. The atmosphere was trendy yet quaint. Beautiful! Micheal recommend the duck and crab salad, which are my two favorite. I'm glad I trusted him on the selection. Crab salad was delicious, fresh, and well presented. This is an upscale French inspired restaurant with a more causal dinning experience downstairs and a fine dinning experience upstairs. I brought my date to the upstairs Château area and it was private and romantic. We got it in at 6:15 pm and spent a few hours. When we arrived, there were not many people but by the time night fell it was full. It was a beautiful place and the waiters were attentive and professional. I suggest having the Sommelier come to the table and explain all the wine choices. He was fantastic, knowlegble, and he led us to make a great choice. Our main waiter was everything I would expect at a high end restraunt. A nice touch was the manager. He was very attentive and came to present every dish we had. The food was amazing needless to say. We had seafood and it was wonderful (Make sure you tell the Sommelier what kind of food you prefer). Don’t skip desert and coffee! This is just a really wonderful place to come and spend a great evening.

I came here for HRW brunch. I’ve heard good things about this place so decided to make it out here. My review is broken down into 2 parts. Food: 5* First course was the caramelized cheese soufflé. It was delicious. Soft and airy. 2nd course was the French Toast. Amazing dish. Look great tasted better. We got the option dessert course and went with the creme brûlée. Amazing. Service: 2* Service was average to below average. Took a long time for waiter to come to take our order. We would have dishes sit at our table for a long time. My wife got a mimosa to start and was going to get another one with the main entree but waiter never came by. For a fine dining place, I was really disappointed. Luckily the food was good and made up for the lackadaisical service.

Nothing but high praise for La Table. Staff is prompt and professional and the food is incredible. It's an upscale, French-American restaurant with good seating upstairs and downstairs. Plenty of different menu items to enjoy, many of them simple, yet elegant. Can't recommend highly enough.

The decor of the place is very good, I ordered the Moroccan chicken, it was cooked-to perfection but did not stimulate my taste buds. I might get back to try different things on the menu, however I don’t recommend the Moroccan chicken. Service was very good. Remember if you want to self park your car you need to go to the back, for some reason the parking in front is not for the resturant. Prices on the high side.
