Great atmosphere and good quality, tasty food, this is a high-end Indian restaurant, definitely worth trying!

John George

Wow! What a breath of fresh air in the food scene inside the loop. Had all the appetizers and the entrees were even better. Ms. Verma dwells on the details, 5 stars!

Ashish Bandekar

The ambiance is really good but the food was very ordinary and so was the service. We ordered chicken tikka masala and being from India I know what a real tikka masala tastes like. The one served lacked the flavour and seasoning by some distance.

Nathan Hanks

I dont always eat Indian food, but when I do again, I will definitely go back to this place. Everything was really flavorful, and very aromatic. As they brought the dishes out the smells were very stimulating. We ordered family style which gave us the option to try several entrees, and I would recommend that so you get the experience of so many different flavors. Lastly - the mango chutney is awesome.

Praveen Kumar

I would say Indian fine dining at it's best, in Houston. We found this place in a random search, and it had not disappointed us. Thoroughly enjoyed their food. Ambience is upscale. We have Ordered Goat appetizer, Chicken Entree, Biriyani's and Naan, everything was cooked to perfection, with all the flavors. We had good time dining at Kiran's. Will definitely go back and visit them, next time when we are in Houston city.

Kiran's is an absolute gem in Houston. Make no mistake, any words that you read about Kiran's are an understatement and I can tell you exactly why Kiran's is so outstanding... Chef Kiran and her husband are both incredibly dedicated people who care about every single customer, plate and staff member. They are kind and hospitable beyond what you can expect and it shows. The restaurant is elegant, modern and absolutely immaculate. Staff is friendly, well organized and very polite. The combined experience leads up to a gorgeous menu with a great selection including an astounding bar menu with many fine choices. Desserts are delectable and made in house with fresh ingredients. The difference is very evident to the palate. Last but not least should be noted that Kiran's is a great place to try a selection of Tea. The tea is perfect, served just right and of the absolute best quality. From the Earl Grey to the Chai, there is no disappointment. Highly recommended in all aspects.

Manikanta Saladhi

Wow! The veg feast is the best. Best quality food. Worth price. Must try drinks. They have very good wines.

Divya Verma

I was a regular customer at her old location. I dined there on a monthly basis bringing clients from all over the world. After she moved to her new location, the food has not been the same and the service is just a disaster. I'm embarrassed to bring my clients here. I believe the new location must be more expensive so she is cutting corners to make ends meet and it shows! I cannot imagine coming here and spending $500+ on a business dinner anymore!

Kerry-Ann Hay

My best friend and I went today for lunch to celebrate her birthday on 9/9/19 1125am. Her and I use to go to the old location a lot, but this was our first time at the new location. We use to order the Kiran feast which is no longer an option. There was a slender lady walking around greeting patrons and never bothered to acknowledge us. She was inside greeting a table directly behind us. She then made her way outside to the patio to greet some other guests but strolled pass us. Our money is also green! Yes we noticed that you blatantly ignored us!! The crab cake was meh. I’m not used to having whole capers and tons of veggies in my crab cakes. The catch of the day roti really didn’t have much cod fish in it, but was still tasty. The mint-lime lemonade was delish. The vegetable biryani was seasoned fantastically

Barbara Chidinma Nzegwu

delicious dinner menu. and we met kiran! i haven't been to the tea time but i've heard it's fabulous.

Severe food poisoning!!! Been throwing up for the past hour. This is a crazy place, ruined my valentines night Below response shouts escapism at best.

Melih Diren

If you are gonna order food from this restaurant, be aware that your delivery service is not even allowed to enter this establishment and must wait outside in a garage. Your delivery service must wait at a back door in a hot humid garage without air circulation, and right next to this back door, there is a small trash mountain. They must be thinking welcoming delivery guys inside their restaurant must be devaluating their rich looking environment. Not appreciated at all!!

donnatella macKenzie

Wonderful atmosphere. The chef's tasting menu for their Lobster lacked creativity and too many of the dishes were redundant. It was not worth the price tag

Alejandra Covarrubias

Great service and great Indian food

David Grossman

Everything absolutely spot on. A total hidden gem. Food is perfection, amazing complexity of flavors. One of the best Indian restaurants in the western hemisphere. Also the bar is silently making great cocktails. Wine selection= mind blown.

Michelle Cohen

Excellent service. Absolutely excellent service. First time trying Indian food... i had the snapper.. was so good.. will definitely be back!!

Bennett Moss

Good place to catch up with friends. I will be bringing family next time. The bill was well within reason for the quality.

Sachin Dabir

What a fantastic place! Two of us visited here on a Tuesday afternoon. The ambiance is simply awesome. Very elegant and spacious seating arrangement. Modern decor and soothing Indian music gives very pleasant feel to the place. Food is even more amazing. Food has a perfect blend of Indian spices, aroma and taste. It is not at all oily. Actually you feel the food is very ‘satvik’.

Rhonda S

A lovely experience, staff was pleasant and personable.

Hanh Nguyen

Beautiful place. Wonderful food. Terrific service.

Pablo Nasta

Amazing place, the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely come back.

Fidel Ramirez

A very nice, upscale, Indian restaurant. The service is attentive but felt hurried at times. Visited with a group and ordered several dishes to enjoy family style. All the dishes were tasty and sufficiently different to not feel repetitive. I was a good experience overall.

Cynthia Brown

Excellent service. Went for the Tea service. Food was sublime; Recognized Traditional English elements but with Kiran's Indian twists. 4 types of tea including chai. The best warm scones with clotted cream, lemon curd, and fresh berry jelly I've ever had. Harpist provided lovey music. Worth the price.

Adam P

I love Kiran's. Even though it's high-end, it feels like I'm eating at my family's house with the way they treat you. We had Andy as our waiter. He helped walk us through some choices. The food was all well-prepared and there were no delays or issues, even though our party was large and it was kind of a busy evening. We've been going here since the original location opened by the railroad tracks. Will definitely be back

Lucky luc518

Delicious food without jeopardizing authenticity.

Colton Patel

Came here on a Saturday. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.

riya mehata

We ordered veg biryani for pick up! It was ready in only 10 mins! And the food my god it was so good. This was the best biryani I have had in any restaurant in Houston. FYI my mom is a best cook and I m a great cook too (as per people who had food prepared by me). Perfect biryani doesn’t need to be over spicy and very hot with lots of red chilli but there should be balance of spices and mint. It should be frangrant! As per me food should look, smell and taste good. Most of the biryanis i had in other restaurants were either too hot without much vegetables and dry. Its like eating very hot yellow color rice with hardly any potato or big chunk of carrot here and there. The biryani i had here was not dry and with lots of vegetables. The salan (curry) they served with it was also very tasty. Even my 6 year old too enjoyed it alot. She usually hate to eat in Indian restaurants.

Abdulla AlNaqbi

The best and tastiest Indian food in Houston

Terry Briggs

Came in on a Thurs. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. The bill was decent for the quality. Menu is similar to a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.

Skye Heller

Chef Kiran is a wonderful person and an amazing Chef. I really enjoyed taking my girlfriend out for her birthday dinner at Kiran's last night. Chef Kiran made it a point to connect with us which made the evening even more special. Both the service and food were top notch. I can't wait to go back!

Wes H

Had such a terrific dinner here! We all tried various varieties of the tasting menus, all were superb. The chef even came out a few times and chatted with us about that particular course. Wait staff were fantastic as well. All around just a great experience. I would give more than 5 stars if it were an option, highly recommend!

mark pearson

First time in the new Kirans! The food, atmosphere, and service blew me away!

Abhishek Singh

Amazing experience, great hosts and delicious food. Can't be better anywhere else.

Inder Ahuja

Kiran’s is the best, my best wishes to her new location, every delicacy is a super hit, tasty and one of a kind in its category, no wonder it’s because of her personal attention, charm and hard-work behind the show. Staff is the best with highest knowledge and hospitality etiquettes, 5 stars to their speed of getting anything demanded. Very impressive ambiance, will repeat.

Glenn Powers

there was quick and friendly service. the bill was fair for the quality of food. if it was closer to my home i would be here often.

Patrick Hendricks

This place was great! Great ambiance and great music. The best scallops I've ever had and the Swarg desert was delicious too.

Hitendra p

Ambience and food was awesome

Jordan Payne

Excellent food and wait staff. Easily my favorite restaurant in Houston.

Emy Aninzo-Wong

The food was delicious, the service was awesome, the decor was beautiful, and the owner was nice. My friends and I got to take a pic with her.

Mikey Carino

Nota as good as I thought

Askari Mohammad

Amazing food and service!

Irene Rivas

Loved it, great meal. The Soup Flight was a nice taste of 3 different flavors. Will be back

Landon Tate

It's so delicious. There was fast, efficient, and courteous service. This place has a great feel to it.

Gouri Reddy

If you are looking for authentic Indian food this might not be your place. Nevertheless it's got that good American Indian fusion. Good choice if you want to eat some place fancy.

Marcelo Gonzalez

Absolutely horrible service, will never visit again. They took forever to serve the food and claimed they were swamped when I asked why it was taking so long (even though they clearly weren’t). When I complained they actually just laughed in my face, I was shocked to be treated so badly, would leave a negative star review if I could.

meghana manyam

Service and staff are good. If you are a South Indian looking for authentic taste, this might not be the right place for you.

sanil sansar

Great ambiance, nice service, mediocre food. The drink I ordered had life in it. The food was lacking it though. The naan was good, I mean you can't go wrong. The Rogan Josh and the Chicken kabab were lifeless. They tried to add a lot of things to the kabab and felt it was like too many cooks spoiled it. Was excited to find a Indian fine dine. But I should say I'm disappointed.

LeKhan James

It was good. Nothing special too much. Was hyped by two coworkers so not sure where I missed the mark. I prefer Kyhber in this area better.

Anjali Kulkarni

Awsome place and food...last year we went here on thanksgiving day during my stay in Houston...loved this place for yammy tasty food...and great ambience...!!! do visit Kirans ...

Karen Woodard

Where do I start !! This must be the finest of fine Restaurants in Houston!! I had my Milestone Birthday celebration this month , Girls Night, at Kiran’s Restaurant and I must add, i could not have selected a better Restaurant!! I had a Fabulous Time!! The food, the waiters, waitress, the Restaurant Manager and not to mention Chief Karin herself Was Just Phenomenal!! ❤️

Nigel Benthall

Fanastic service and food. Enjoyed

Equin Madu

I ordered the salmon with truffle risotto, well it was a bell pepper risotto that was brought to me. When I asked the waiter, he said they put a few drops of truffle oil! Excuse me? So why is it advertised as truffle risotto? He offered me a dessert for failing to explain that the rice is a VEGETABLE Risotto NOT a TRUFFLE risotto, which I was really happy about, he was really nice throughout the night, so he he gets 5 stars just for his service. (Because he isn’t the one that wrote the menu, or cooks the food) also the salmon tasted like frozen seasoned salmon from Sams club! How do I know? Because I used to buy it every week. I’ve been to enough restaurants (and I cook enough) to know that that salmon wasn’t fresh whatsoever, very disappointing for a $36 plate. The 2 stars, isn’t just for the food It is because we had to sit outside, due to reasons I can’t disclose, and I called prior to showing up, asking if the heater works, a lady said yes. We show up and guess what? It doesn’t work. 4 different people were trying to get it to start and it just didn’t work. It was so windy, the trees and plants outside are gorgeous but they didn’t help with all the wind, we were not offered to go sit inside at any point, they provided a small heater, which was great to warm our hands and that was it. Overall the best part about the dinner was the dessert.

Srini U

Excellent Food and Service!

Aditya Mukerjee

Authentic Indian cuisine. Very good hospitality

Monslisa Scott

Nothing like High Tea and bubbly in the middle of the day... High Tea at Kiran's was wonderful! Monalisa

Jonathan Morrell

Kiran's is worth a visit if you want to try some truly unique dishes that meld together Indian and Gulf Coast influences. It's one of those restaurants that embodies Houston by the way it doesn't shy away from putting a twist on time-honored traditional dishes, especially when it means celebrating the culinary tastes of another culture. Order Gulf seafood cooked in the tandoor, or a vindaloo mole. Kiran's strengths lie in their concepts that fuse these cuisines well, but many of the mains are too expensive, so I would skip on the more traditional curries. There are plenty of other great Indian restaurants in Houston (go to Hillcroft) that would beat the $24 chicken tikka, butter chicken, or lamb rogan josh.

Khalid UAE

Delicious Indian food and very nice place for family

lior mizrahi

Very nice and elegant Indian restaurant. Food is really good and adventures our favorite is the vegetarian combo which mix a few different flavors that stays with you long after we left the restaurant. The service is very polite and respectful.

Qusay Al-Rawi

Great and tasty Indian food, since I consider myself as an expert in Indian food with my 10 years living in Dubai and trying the real authentic food. This place is amazingly good.

Annalise Kaylynn

This place always has excellent quality food and the service is fast and very professional. This is one of the top places to eat in Houston. The restaurant is well laid out and has a very cozy atmosphere. This is a great place for lunch and dinner. You won't be disappointed as they have something for everyone here. This place is a bit on the pricey side but that's what you expect from a high-quality restaurant.

Nargis Hemani

Very nice ambiance and service but food is blurry. Not authentic test at all.

ramkumar chebolu

Tasty food. Good and plesant interiors.

Aniket Deshpande

Very upscale Indian Restaurant. Try their Kadhi Pakoda...Met the owner and Chef...she is super nice and very friendly. Lil costly tho but food is great. Dnt go in shorts n tshirt...well nonissues in wearing that, but everyone who comes there is well dressed...so its embarrassing if you aint...

Ananth Srinivasan

The best Indian food in town!

CS S

Treats service providers like garbage making us use the backdoor. I have delivered for other high class restaurants and making me use the back has me feeling some type of way. I dress nice when I pick up food and you make me use the backdoor and have 5 people waiting outside looking crazy. I don't appreciate this and it needs to change. If not I will message the third party company to remove your business from delivery.

Cristina Shelton

Everyone at our table was quite pleased. It has a good interior.

Shawn LePorte

Best Indian food in US? Maybe. I haven't tried them all, but the best I have ever had.

Vinita Dogra

Bookings are done without arrangements. No help for senior citizens.we were frustrated when after booking we were asked to sit in launge. We booked to celebrate our anniversary and wanted to enjoy evening but ruined. We went there to have specific food so had to get packed and ate at home after spending 4.30hrs of traveling, parking and waiting thr. They should have inform us about the party going there. It could've saved our time and humiliation. Also the yrly sp evening ... But food was good.

Chandra Prakash Bhartia

Good indian food in Huston. Enjoyed dinning there.

Susan J

The food is very good. My favorite is the pani poori. The service at this new location is much better then the previous one. We had run into some rude staff a few years ago. But now this has become our go to place for good Indian food with good service.

Kim J

It was fine. The food was bland. For the price I expected more seasoning.

Bayida Alqouba

Perfect and delicious food l love it ,, lwill come to the resturant when lcome to housten thank you for every thing best wishes

Andy Haswell

We booked a table at Kiran's as when we usually we go we are sat in the bar and for a once we fancied sitting in the resturant. Upon arrival we stated we had we had book a table in the resturant and yet again we were told there are only seat in the bar. I told them of my disappointment as I had booked a table and at the time of booking it was not mentioned but.hings got worse. The service was confused and slow. We ordered different naan breads and they were mixed together in a basket so no one knew which naan was theirs. The checks were slow coming as the computers were not working. But worst of all for me was the food. Although it tasted nice this is an after all an "Indian" restaurant and the was no spice to speak of in any of our meals. I had a chicken jalfrez and it might have well have been chicken stew. It used to be lovely and spicy, not hot but spicy. I travel all over the world with India included in those travels and it was the best I had tried. But I am sorry not any more. So if you want a pretend indian there you have it but if you would like some spice try somewhere else. I will be!

Kristina Anderson-Davidson

Delicious high end food with a lovely atmosphere.

Soumya Prabhakar

Had valentines dinner here tonight and neither the food nor the ambience was upto the mark. It felt like a crowded food chain. We couldn’t speak freely with each other fearing people sitting next to us could hear every word of our conversation. Absolutely not worth the money!!!

michael fee

Not our first visit, wont be out last. Exceptional food and service. Raj Katori, cold app. Good. We didn't take advantage of the never ending papadums. Those were delicious! Crab samosas, great, potato and nuts, ok. Daal Pancham and the Bengan Bartha were great. Navrattan Korma was good. Pick any naan. Can't miss. Didn't have dessert this time.

Chris Ferris

My wife and I celebrated our 19th anniversary at Kiran's recently. It was a wonderful experience. The food was sublime, the service terrific, and the restaurant looked beautiful. The Vesper Martini was delicious.

Amitha Devikrupa

We went to kirans to celebrate our anniversary. We had a 3 year old son. First the waiter came and told my son to be quite without our permission. They don't give us time and within 2 mins one more lady came and told us " WE HAVE BUSINESS PEOPLE TRY TO MAKE HIM SILENT. and my son was not that loud. And they made us leave. And my son was crying to eat in that restaurant. We din't even had our dinner. We waited for our food for almost 45 mins. our son was hungry that's why he was little cranky. THANK YOU FOR RUINING OUR ANNIVERSARY

Vladimir Pinto

Amazing Restaurant. Good food, Nice environment, must try!

Flor Lopez

Tea time at Kiran's was such a fun experience. Suzanne was amazing! Very attentive and friendly!

Ernest Vannorsdell

Great ambiance incredible wait staff and service. This place is a no brainier when it come to high quality Indian food. Try it and you won't regret it!

Dr. Barbara Sunderland Manousso

Great food. Lovely setting. Fine service. Two meals brought home. Nice experience.

Chris Verner

When my wife and I are celebrating life together, one of our favorite places is Kiran’s. Every dish is a reminder of how amazing Indian cuisine is and the attention to detail and quality is clear. Here’s a tip you might not hear often... if you haven’t tried the pistachio ice cream, it is made in-house and delightful. Cheers!

Nile

The food was divine.

Sudhir Jain

We came after making reservations with them. When we got there we were offered a seating near the door where staff is bringing food over our head. They offered alternate seating of the same type on another door. Best they should not have taken reservation. Staff was not even courteous or trying to recover!

John Henry

Went to dinner here on Friday night for a business meeting. Our server was great. The food was unbelievably good. The only issue I had was as our food was being delivered a gentleman just grabbed my bison ribeye as I was getting ready to cut into it and said I’ll take care of that for you, I was flabbergasted by this! Our server finished putting all of our entrees on the table I asked him who that gentleman was? The server responded that it was the manager Glen. I informed the server that his managers actions were not necessary and a bit rude, our server apologized and was very understanding. All in all it was a wonderful experience and our meal was delightful.

DnH Films

Servers are slow, we observed that they were not attentive to indian origin customers, only others. Appetizers dirty plates sitting on various tables for ever. Got charged $8 for a side of onions even after lowsy service. Food is just ok. Indian section dishes do not taste authentic, lacking flavors and are severely over priced. If you have had enough indian food you will know that this food only looks presentable at times but lacks the right flavors and does not hit the spot. Not to the standard of Tamarind Tribeca or Amber or Junoon. These restaurants are light years ahead and worth your $$$$$!

Rebecca Rodriguez

Some friends and I went to Kiran’s for High Tea for the first time and it was overall amazing. The food, tea and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. Also, our server, Suzanne, did an excellent job ensuring we had a great experience!

Cool Varadharajan

Im a vegetarian, so ordered veg samosas and veg briyani. Both were nice.. I loved importantly the raita and the friendly nature of the staffs served..

Mythreyi Jamadagni

Insult to Indian food. Service is good but the food tastes terrible

pavan kumar

I loved the food and their ambiance

Jodi Collier

Arrived at five, it wasn't busy. The staff was very friendly and kind. Prices are decent for the quality.

Venugopal Yenuga

Went here for my daughter's birthday. Great service. The food was very well prepared. Not the spicy food I usually eat. But very balanced flavor and spice. My wife is very picky about Ras Malai and she just loved the one she had here. Loved the decor and service.

Crypto Tex

Extremely overpriced food from a very rude and pompous owner who treats everyone as a subject like she is some sort of royalty when in reality she doesn’t even know which way is up. She disrespects everyone from the staff to the vendors to anyone who doesn’t kiss her feet, living in her own bubble of delusion. But hey if you want to spend $22 on some creamy spinach made by a maniacal controlling rude wildabeast this might be your go to. Not including bread and tip of course. For me her attitude is a naan starter.

Paulina Tran

Goodness. I’ve been wanting to come here for years, but just haven’t. I decided to take my boyfriend here for his birthday, and boy was it so good. The service was impeccable, and the food was so incredible. I’m not an Indian food expert, but it was fresh, so flavorful, and just so satisfying. I had the Lady in Pink cocktail, and we shared the chicken biryani, chicken korma, and regular naan. Our food came out fairly quick, and it was just so good. Suzanne was our waitress, and she was attentive yet not overbearing. We can’t wait to come back.

Jeffrey Anapolsky

Great lunch! Ordered off the three course lunch menu.

jmc

Excellent Bar - Good Food Upscale Indian Fusion cuisine. Very large, cozy & well attended bar/lounge area

Shradha Mahajan

Amazing amazing experience! The food is delicious it doesnt taste like every other Indian restaurant. The service is outstanding its jam packed but the whole experience is amazing. Highly recommended for some special occasion they make sure you have a good time. Kesar panacotta is outstanding.

Sneha Malshetti

The food is just ok and pricey ... Didn't like it too much. V ordered a few items. It didn't have gravy n didn't satisfy my expectations. Not my kinda place to be honest.

Gabriel Sanchex

Very good food and service. First time eating more sophisticated Indian cuisine and I could not be happier I gave it chance. Our waiter recommend a great rose for me and my guests as well. The food was great and unique to other Indian restaurants in Houston.

varun joshi

Really classy dining experience. Great service and excellent food quality.

ravi uppaladinni

Such great food, drinks, ambience, and service! Best dining experience in a long long time..,

Kim Zare

First time we've visited the new location, we used to frequent the previous location a good bit. The food and service were top notch, they do a great job to see to it that their guests are pampered. We had a large group, so a bit of a pricey adventure. I really wish they'd take the pricing down to scale, I feel it's a little high, but will definitely go back despite that feeling.

Frank DiGiuseppe

We love this place. The service here is excellent - very helpful and professional but unpretentious. And the food is superb - very flavorful and well seasoned dishes, that are plentiful enough to share among several people.

carlos eduardo diaz castrillon

Excellent place. The food and wine selection are great but the people at the service are extraordinary, they will make you feel like home

Shashidhar Ganesan

I liked the food at Kiran's a lot. The Raj katori was good and the Delhi Chaat was really good. My favorite dal makhani tasted really awesome like how I remember it eating at Punjabi dhabas. Garlic and Bullet naans were soft and tasty. My wife had the veg feast. Bhaingan bartha and paneer karahi tasted very good. Navratan and aloo muttar not so usual, but they were different tasting and not bad. Food can't be considered expensive considering the quality and the decent portions you get. Definitely a special ocasion dinner place as the ambience is not the typical Indian restaurant kind. However, I did notice something very weird. All indian crowd were seated the first section of the restaurant, white and I mean strictly white people-only in the middle part, me with my pretty wife and cute and noisy kid, an Asian couple, black and Spanish women at the far end. Weird..... This is not the 60s bhaii log, please don't discriminate against the white people, they love us now. However, apart from the weirdness, the food is really genuine and unique tasting especially in Houston where pretty much everything is run by Gujaratis catered to their taste.

Dad776

Went here for lunch and this restaurant was excellent, way beyond my expectations. I’m Indian so I have a pretty high standard for Indian restaurants and Kiran’s met all of those. Living in Houston I had heard about Kiran’s for years and just now got a chance to try them. Boy was I missing out. The decour was great, great place to go if you want to have a formal/classy dinner. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, the chicken biryani, the mixed grill, the chicken kebab appetizer, all were excellent! Ras malai wasn’t that great. We’ll definitely be back! Parking was kind of a hassle. Have to park in the garage. There was no outfront parking or valet at the time we had lunch.

Anshuman Naresh Murty

Overhyped, was disappointed with the taste of the food Had heard lots, walked in with a lot of expectations but not up to the mark, maybe Kiran 1.0 was better than 2.0 Will not re-visit Suggest please improve the food taste Specifically Mishti Doi was anything but mishti doi Wishing you all the best

A Kak

Food and service both were excellent.

Edward Fritsch

Wonderful environment wonderful Cuisine. Definitely a must go in the Houston area

Ja'Lisa Mathis

The food was phenomenal. Our waiter was sweet and very helpful. We went for a friend's birthday and he was raving about the food. There wasn't anything that we had that wasn't tasty. It's a place for a nice night out either with friends or a significant other. Get the soup flight. You won't regret it.

Lakshmi Jones

Best meat flavors , consistency in cooking , and selection I have tried ever!! I loved this place so much!! Service is outstanding too!

George Kennedy

Normally I would have posted a pic but food looked so good I couldn't stop. The staff was sociable and attentive. The prices are fair for the quality of food.

Jeff Shadwick

Delicious from soup, through main course, to wonderful coffee.

China Jain

amazing food but service is not good very very slow

Daniel Irizarry

Classic upscale Indian restaurant. Great place for special occasions.

Sumeet Kumar Tripathi

One of the best Indian restaurant in Houston...food is simply delicious...

Stephanie Lokuta

I started coming here every holiday season when I’m in town to visit. It’s an absolute must and something we all look forward to doing together. The food is fantastic, so much flavor! I can’t wait to come back next year.

D Buck

Good food, tons of wait staff but not effective. Appetizers, and main courses and drinks all came at the same time. Ate at table in bar area which may be a factor. 4-5 waiters standing around but none able to bring a dessert menu or clear the table.

Rena Patel

Great tea service for a decent price. It is 5 courses with 2 different teas. You also get unlimited masala chai in between. The total tea service cost about $251 with tax and gratuity is added at the end. You can choose to add an additional tip if you would like. Valet is free. The service is a full 2 hours and you use every minute of it. The restaurant is beautiful perfect for pictures and the waiters are wonderful about asking to take pictures as well. We had a Darjeeling which was lovely and light and an earl grey tea to end. I think that the earl grey should have come with the sandwiches and the Darjeeling should have come with the petite fours would have been better paired. The mushroom samosas are delicious and the chutney pairs get well with it. The cranberry orange scones are good but they fall apart and crumble all over the place. The berry jam and clotted were both exquisite. All the sandwiches were delicious except for the duck which was not to my taste. All the desserts were delicious and appropriately sized. Come on an empty stomach as the service is filling. Service was a little slow and tea was not really brought out on time. Overall an excellent experience.

Elizabeth Corey

Absolutely love this place! It’s one of my favorite spots in Houston. Always great.

Catherine Madden

Kiran's is delicious! We have had take out from there multiple times and every time it is delicious! Their Curry is awesome and comes with a perfect amount of rice and slaw. We had a small mishap when we went to pick up our food and somehow missed one of the bags of food, and the manager personally came and delivered the food to our house! Great service, great food!

Mark Waiz

Good but not great food. Service can be improved.

Kent Milholland

One of my top 5 meals EVER! Everything was perfect. Both the beef and veggie samosas were very flavorful. The rack of Venison was divine. The chicken tiki masala was the best ever. The chicken was neither over or under cooked and was extremely tender. The trio of creme brulee was great without being too much. Their Mumbai Miracle margarita was the most flavorful margarita I have tasted. The Indian spices mixed with the top shelf liquor were ... well, I needed a moment

Kiran's was amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and Chef is one of a kind! She recommended some of the best dishes and drinks, and the food was to die for. Anyone who is on the fence of trying Indian food or had a bad first experience, dining here will change that view entirely... you won't regret it!

Came in on a Weds. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. Prices are reasonable.

Absolutely delicious! Just ate my leftovers and now I am sad I don't have any more. We've been coming for many, many years. Never a disappointment. Fantastic meal followed by some chai tea and biscotti... man, so good. You cannot go wrong here. Kiran is awesome and very sweet.

The food here is really excellent. Came for lunch at the end with little crowd left with wife and one year old baby. Baby was restless by the end of meal and fussy despite all efforts to divert/entertain and the chef asked us to do something to calm the baby as the tea customers were being disturbed. This was unambiguously interpreted by us as “please finish up and take him outside,” so we packed up, paid the bill, and we will probably not be back. Could have told us when we arrived that they are not very baby friendly and we would have turned around no hassles (understand that some places want to establish an ambiance). Also could have seated us somewhere other than the middle of the dining room - place was pretty empty when we arrived and lots of room so could have put us anywhere. Instead we got a sour taste at the end of an otherwise nice meal and didn’t feel welcome.

Long waits! We went there on our trip to Houston. Had a reservation for 8.45 pm on a Saturday night. Although the restaurant is upscale, we decided to take our little kids along. So that made us 4 adults and 2 toddlers. All we saw was the restaurant waiting area. We waited for close to 30 minutes and left without eating as we ran out of patience. What is the use of calling upfront and reserving a table if that long a wait is expected!!. The hostess was friendly but no intimation of expected wait was given upfront. No update was given either till we asked for it after waiting 20 min. Then a waiter came and told us the table would be ready in 2-3 min but then several min passed and nothing still. That’s when we left.

Amanda Deleon

Very slow service. Didnt wait any longer...just left.

Kiran's offers the perfect mix of classic Indian dishes and modern American food with an Indian twist. The mushrooms were fantastic (any day I eat hen of the woods mushrooms is a great day), and the sea bass and snapper were cooked perfectly. I love the classics, too, and the daal saag was delightfully spicy. Four of us went to celebrate my birthday, and Kiran's is a great place for a celebration! It is upscale but not stuffy. The waiters were attentive but not oppressively so. Overall, it was a wonderful dinner and I highly recommend Kiran's!

After having the wrong tea served several times at the $45++ per person tea and snack services, got told of $20 comp as apology, but check also came included with 20% gratuity ($14) for party of two. This 20% fixed gratuity rate is not mentioned anywhere - in person, in the menu or on restaurant website. The credit card slip also leave tips line empty. If I wasn't careful with the detail bill, may have tipped twice for the poor services. Partial kudos to management for the $20 comp. My suggestion is to make the tip policy and amount clearer. If the fixed tip amount is 20% then have it clearly stated. Not the "+ Tax and Gratuity" that you currently have on the menu. And put "already included" on the credit card slip.

Absolutely loved my dining experience here. I have nothing negative to say about it. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the vibe was elegant and formal. Be prepared to pay a little bit more than you would at other restaurants, but this place definitely delivers with everything that they have in the menu. I was especially pleased with the paneer dishes and the stuffed naans that are on the menu. I would go back here as many times as I could, if it wouldn’t make me go broke.

One of my absolute favorites in Houston! A must try, both for Indian cuisine aficionados and first timers! We had the veg tasting menu a few times and it is always delicious. The entire menu is innovative and exciting, there is a special touch on literally every dish and so many options to choose from. I can't wait to be back!

Weston Howard

The service was very helpful and observant. The place has a cool atmosphere. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I liked.

Cee Jones

The food and the service were AH-MAZING!! The traditional Indian dishes were lip-smacking good! I will definitely return .... soooooon

Erin Olsen-Telles

Way overpriced for what you get! We ordered three of the traditional dishes and they were almost double the price they would be at any other Indian restaurant in town. They only brought out one small plate of rice with the dishes. Not one per dish. One total. When we asked for more, they charged us $8 for more rice. Rice! Our sever was attentive and the food was tasty, but the quality certainly didn’t justify the inflated prices. If you’re looking for a good Indian meal, go elsewhere. We’ve had Indian food that was just as good elsewhere, but bill was half of what we paid here.

Barry Cain

Very tasty. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. Food is like a place in Baltimore I loved.

Katharine Dlouhy

Especially loved the eggplant side dish!

Not sure why this place got such a high rating. But when I looked lowest ratings it all made sense. We were visiting city and decided to dine in based on reviews. But very disappointing taste and among worst desi vegetarian food we ever had. Naan is like rumali roti. makki de roti like small pancakes with lot of oil. Vegetarian entries had a lot of salt in it. Could not eat. Overall, very salty and oily food without any taste. My wife felt like throwing up. Staff and owner (I think Kiran) was helpful. Two stars are for them. Otherwise food quality and taste were abysmal. We insisted that we will pay but we were told that we will not be charged and were advised to just take care of tips. But when I saw my credit card statement.. We were charged including the tip. surely wont advice this place if you are looking for vegetarian options. There are better places around. 05.29.2019 - The owner replied to the response on May 22nd (see pic attached)..Looks like the current response is edited as the owner probably realized that those statements were as good as the quality of there products. In the previous response the owner said---they did not charge us at all...What a joke...We were charged and the authorization code was 4D073J10 (the reason I am providing this is to show that we were actually charged and the owner's statement are false...I seriously donot care that much about the amount at all)... The owner also said that no one said anything bad about her food in her career. Seriously......look at the low rating responses to which the owner had replied as well....People who really know the taste of authentic desi food can tell what it mean...

hitesh bhakta

Food/quality was average only item that was really worthy of saying it was great would be the lamb chops

Chintan Barbhaya

I was there for a private event . It was awesome!!!! The food was delicious and the wait staff was kind. I would highly recommend.

Charles Pestell

Food pretty good, a couple of the dishes were over seasoned (bit salty for our tastes) service was too slow even for a Saturday night

Samira Lenny

michael hidalgo

Beautiful restaurant with very delicious and elegant dishes. Kiran is an extremely lovely lady with a passion for differentiated and delicious dishes.

kartik sharma

Was a highly recommend restaurant and on my birthday I finally got a chance to visit. The food was fantastic and totally authentic Indian with spices and everything a typical north Indian cuisine has. Plus as promised there is a modern touch to every dish. The best part was the chef's personal touch. She treated me like her own child, blessed me and treated me with a complementary dessert.
