You will see all the opinions of people like you who have information of the products of Hacienda Vallarta Mexican Buffet & Bakery (Restaurant) in the state of Texas.
At this moment the firm has a rating of 4.2 over 5 and this score has been based on 2598 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is good, and it's founded on a large number of reviews, so we may think that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they are happy with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Mexican restaurant.
I REALLY loved the food! It tastes like they actually cook it there and not reheated like it can be obvious from other restaurants
Food is always awesome. Lots of variety and i love the bakery with the cakes, the lemon cake is wonderful! The ice cream self-serve is good too.
This buffet has it all. A little bit of something for everyone in your family. Got a picky toddler that only wants macaroni and cheese with a side of ice cream? They've got that. Want a variety of baked goods to choose from without breaking the bank at a bakery? They've got you covered. Craving Chinese food while everyone else was craving Mexican food? They've got Chinese food too! The price is fantastically reasonable, the variety is incredible, and the quality of the food is top notch. The waiters and waitresses are also friendly and attentive.
Liked the place because there are several different entrees to choose, salsas, and fillings. Weekend includes pozole, menudo, and caldo...also it's A.Y.C.E
This place is by far the best Mexican buffet in San Antonio. The food was fresh and there was plenty to choose from. My favorite was the Chinese food and my wife like the Mexican food the service was excellent and our waitress was very professional. We will definitely be back, maybe for the breakfast next time
The best buffet in San Antonio I recommend this place amazing customer service the food is delicious
Great food, and friendly service. Highly reccomend
Good food except fried fish. Little too dry and hard but everything else yummy!!!!
First time trying this place with my parents for my birthday dinner. The flavor of the food was very good but majority of the food was cold, and below acceptable temp. I have worked in many kitchens and it was pretty crazy how cold it old some of the food was..Stayed for about 45mins and they didnt really replace any food. Waited for fresh verde enchiladas but never came, just the 3 dried out ones on the tray. Tried the fresh cheese enchiladas and they were warm off the line. I say warm and not hot because the cheese didn't even melt all the way. The deserts saved it for me. I never really write reviews..but I really feel they have some potential if dining on a good day..
The food is delicious n the setice is great just love it the price is good too
Was real authentic mexican food.a little pricey but good...
Go to a regular Mexican restaurant there's no point in going to a buffet now it's not going to be fresh. But I will say it's better than Taco Cabana and Taco Bell even though that's not real Mexican food
Perfect good service good food and ice cream is not hard very cheap
The staff. Members were very kind and helpful the food was very tasety and plenty since it is a buffet. All in all a very pleasant experience have a great day bye.
The buffet is good...really mexican food, American bar b que, Chinese food, salads, deserts, fruits, tortillas corn/ flour, soups barbacoa, drinks...they pick up dirty plates fast n regills great service...constant refill on the food.....the bad part is the restrooms need attention...BUT OVERALL the PRICE is good.
Pay up front before getting food so you can get as much as you want for the price you pay. I tried a little of everything, got about 7 plates, 3 for dinner and 4 for desserts. My favorites in the buffet were the enchiladas and chicken fajitas for dinner, and banana pudding and flan for dessert.
We liked it, great food and taste. They gave us a good service too.
Flies and people sneezing on food
Love,Love,Love it. Tremendous selection of foods....from steaks to Mexican.Salad bar is awesome and the desert area is very good. Now a word of caution the place especially on the wk.ends is packed I mean out the door packed........the servers are all skilled on what they do...
First time at this establishment...food was good...large variety of food...including stuff for kids...
I love the buffet there it's delicious they have everything I like and the salad and the Chinese food and all the Mexican food and the steak and the the bakery is delicious all the cookies in the cakes in the pudding I love it
Selection great with real authentic taste. Makes you wish you could stuff more into your stomach.
This place is awesome. The service is great and I always eat like a king every time I come.
The food was some what okay, but only 1 person in our group of 7 actually liked it. The price was not worth it for the food we got. It is a buffet and there was a big variety, it just didn't taste good several of the group who got fish said it was still a bit raw.
The food is good and fresh! We went on a Friday and it wasn’t too busy! My kids love their ice cream and pastry section!
Sounds like a great idea. Total failure. Food was stale, dry, crusty, and looks like it had been sitting out all day. Unfortunately it tasted like it as well. I suffered through it with friends but won't go back. When I looked at the ice cream I realized how nasty it really was. The freezer had not been cleaned in what appears to be months. Price was pretty steep for Pancho's knock off. Weeknight $12+ tax, kids were 8$.
Awesome rice and Chinese noodles
Delicious food. Was visiting my family and my grandma brought me here. Was the best Mexican food. Flour tortillas were made fresh. Waitresses were on point. 10/10
It’s a trap!!! How so? I get there hungry as a castaway. I’ve never been here but I drive by here everyday. All I know is that it’s a buffet. So I walked in, they make you pay(including tip) as soon as you walk in.... BUT then you have to WAIT. I lost my patience after five minutes. I shouldn’t have to wait at all especially if I already paid for my meal. Secondly, there were tons of open tables. I had to wait for a waitress or hostess to show up and seat me. They had entire parties of people in a waiting area waiting to be seated. If they don’t have enough tables they shouldn’t make one pay upfront. I think that’s underhanded. Needless to say I requested a full refund and left. If you have to wait to be seated, I think it’s fair to pay until everyone is satisfied. Golden Corral charge you up front but you’re also seated immediately. Not here, so bring a crossword puzzle book if you insist in grazing here.
Excellent food good price friendly wait staff clean can't wait to go back.
Very reasonably priced. Polite & courteous staff. Clean restaurant & bathrooms. If I lived in San Antonio I'd eat here every week. It was THAT great. Very comfortable atmosphere
I will go back ,l enjoyed the food was very delicious,a lot to choose from .l will suggest it to my friends and to the rest of my friends and family.
How does anybody actually like this place? The food is horrible, the desserts are old and dry. Literally it’s not good.
Simply delicious. Way to many different portions but all are great
I just visited this Mexican Buffet. This restaurant is very expensive and the person that greeted us was on the phone and didn’t talk but took our money. Didn’t show any respect to the patrons and very rude. Will not be back. 1st and only time here.
I usually not a big fan of buffets but the one was fresh and so good and clean.
The food is horrible... First time my husband got sick and had to go to the hospital for good poisoning. Shrimp was bad. The second time we went I got sick. So yeah this place sucks.
Very surprised it being a Mexican food buffet. Had a great selection of Mexico, Chinese and American food. Went during lunch so food was fresh constantly being rotated. Will be back.
Good variety but tables too close and staff not to friendly.
My husband and I thought it was excellent. I'm a vegetarian and he's not. It was clean, food was fresh, large variety, attentive staff. Price was reasonable.
Awesome experience. Very friendly service and really good food.
Ugly place food is horrible and I don't know how this place is still here they need behind kitchen doors there nasty
It's OK and lots of food. Ribs are good as the pork is tender. I'll go again.
Excellent mexican cuisine. Awesome Desserts.
ALL YOU CAN EAT MEXICAN CHINESE SEAFOOD MENUDO CALDO FOR 24$ FOR 2 PEOPLE PLUS DRINKS? YOU JUST CANT BEAT IT.
Today was my first time there...the tortillas were delicious.
First time here and really enjoyed it. We had a party of 6 and 3 of us ordered margaritas. The food variety was good and tasted good as well. There was Mexican, American, and Chinese. There was also a large selection of deserts. The margaritas weren't amazing, kind of tasted like apple sauce. Overall it was a nice experience and we will likely return when the buffet urge strikes again.
Love coming here. I wish it was closer to home.
First timer & I give it 5 ☆s I'll make it a point to go anytime I'm in SA
We are from out of town and drove 30 min from where we are staying to eat here. We had never been to a Mexican buffet before so thought we’d try it. We eat Mexican food A LOT and rarely find anything that is just bad. But this was not good at all. The best thing there was the rice & beans and even those were sub par. And how does a selection of Chinese food fit the “Mexican buffet” claim? Even the worst taco stand is better than here.
Food is awesome & pricing is great for what they offer. Staff is on top of their game. Fast & friendly service. In fact we are planning our son in laws graduation party there in just a few months. Great deal great prices great food. And don't forget to tip your waiters & waitresses.
Alot of variety. Gorditas, menudo, pizza, sweet and sour pork. Sweet tooth? Plenty desserts as well. Margaritas, piñas coladas. It gets packed, too.
Food selection was all right payed more than I wanted didn't like that they added gratuity even though it was separate cups were dirty not a place I'll be returning to that's just me though.
I love going there when i visit San Antonio...the food is authentic Mexican food and a lot if variety. Their tortillas are homemade ya'll, what more can you ask for. I love the service. ((The menudo is bomb))
Not much of a fan of Mexican buffets, as in most Mexican places around you end up eating more than you should. That's why I give it 3 stars and not 4. We went for a lunch meeting, a big party. Tip was automatically charged in the bill, which I don't like, but I understand is customary. Server really earn the tip. She was very attentive and quick with the refills ant taking out the used dishes, so good for her! Food was decent, and I guess almost all you can expect from a Mexican place, including some fish (i didn't try to make any fish tacos, though). Not a bad place if you are really hungry or craving a bit of everything Mexican food.
The buffet is delicious and has good assortment. Chicken and mole, green enchiladas, flautas. You name it they have it (except tamales). Go figure?
Sloppy and messy. Food isn't that great. Service is fast.
This place has an awesome buffet for around $10. Mexican, Chinese, American, and a nice dessert bar. Impressive selection. Plenty of seating inside. Large parking lot as well. This place should get 5 stars just for variety. Much higher quality food than a Golden Coral and less expensive. Music in Spanish playing in the background. Metal utensils paper napkins , plastic plates. Everything tasted great with the exception of some beef stew that was very tough. Enchiladas, crab Rangoons, general tso chicken, shrimp, fajitas, even salmon were very good.
Always great service and food is excellent
Food very delicious pricey but we'll worth it
Good food and service
If your looking for great REAL MEXICAN FOOD this is the place for you. Best of all it's a buffet so all you can eat plus desserts. Great atmosphere great friendly servers.
Good environment speedy service alto the enchiladas were a bit cold
Great food, i wish there was more places like this, its buffet food but its delicious! Service is great and i hope this buffet survives in the dying breed of buffets.
Found a hair for the second time in my food. Asked the manager and was told that it's normal for hair cause of the customers. She said it was not her cook because he's bald. I asked for a refund and was told no that they could only give a coupon. I stopped eating the food on the first plate. Never again.
Very good Mexica buffet, I was worried at first "mexican buffet" didnt sound to good, but very happy I was wrong
All you can eat very good food n friendly
The buffet was amazing! I only ate Mexican food because I wanted an assortment of Mexican dishes, but like others stated, they also have American and Chinese food. Everything I tried was seasoned very well. I would recommend anyone traveling to San Antonio to try this place at least once. My next visit, I'll definitely go back. It was worth the price.
Oh my goodness this place is amazing with great freshly made foods and beverages and deserts from Asian to Hispanic buffet!! Great price. The menudo and the fresh corn tortillas were awesome!! We will definitely be back when we come back to visit San Antonio!!
Food is really good.. Dessert could be better
Pozole was delicious and so was the caldo de camaron.
Oddly the chinese food here is pretty delicious. A Great variety of choices.
Great food, service, and love the atmosphere. Definitely a great place to hangout with family and friends. Will for sure keep coming and inviting others too experience stuck a great place.
Best Mexican buffet place ever I think this is the only one left in town not sure but definitely makes you feel like home here the food is the best and it hits the spot just right.
THURSDAY ATE WITH MY FAMILY, FOOD WAS NOT GOOD FOR PRICE THAT we paid. I got Food poison, Food was cold , the Tea tasted like it was old . Shrimp
Delicious food! Great variety, nothing bland. Great service as well.
Great Mexican Buffet! Lots of variety. Fresh homemade tortillas served.
I dont regret gaining five pounds in one sitting in this place. Even if some of the food was hit or miss it was mostly a hit in my taste buds
Could definitely use some degreaser on the floors. Freaking ice skating in this place. But food was pretty good, drinks are not strong at all. And the tables could use a wipe down between customers. Didn't know who our server was since we saw 3 different people come to the table.
Truly outstanding, the variety of food is just awesome. Best wait staff. So much food sweets , soups, salads etc etc. I will visit here again. Recommend this place.
The food was greasy. The enchiladas were dry and the fried fish was hard. The flan was good. The floor was slick too. The atmosphere and presentation of food could have been better. The staff/servers were helpful and nice. I gave them two stars because of the staff and flan.
Staff is very nice and always willing to help. When I go to a restaurant I expect FLAVOR!! And that is why I keep going back to this restaurant!! Fresh food, different and new choices, clean buffets and floors!! Want to feel like family and have food like its grandmas recipe!!?? Look! No! Further!!
Awful food presentation. The food it’s self was more or less ok. I’m used to much better food. The staff was friendly, but I don’t like the payment process they have. You pay up front and also choose how many drinks you’re going to have, but than you have to explain the waiter, that you have payed for this and that drink. Makes me feel uncomfortable as a guest. My wife had a Margarita, and we are pretty sure there was NO margarita in there. Overall, it’s to expensive for what you get... and you don’t get much. Definitely not going back there.
Interesting and different. The chile rellenos were on point and delicious. Will definitely be going back.
Really good food ur eyes r bigger den ur stomach u really wanna eat fr everything dey have I tried da gorditas n r delicious green enchiladas great just don't try da mole enchiladas da tortillas r NOT fried dey just roll dem fr da package not good menudo also really good n da desesrts well as u can imagine don't kno wat 2 eat all look delicious da flan is soo good n da prices r really resonable also da waiters just pick up ur table n asdume u r done or left n ppl r not done n ur table gert taken should figure out a system where dat doesn't happen ppl get upset when dry go back 2 der table n it's been taken
Paying is what takes the longest, there was only one cashier when we were there. But as soon as we finished paying we were lead to our table. By the time we got our first plate our drinks were at our table,we ordered sodas and margaritas. The margaritas were some of the BEST I've ever had but for my husband it needed a little more tequila. They had every type of food from Mexican to Chinese and some delicious fried chicken, the fried chicken was my favorite. Even the parking was great, its a large, well thought out parking lot. Shout to our server who was on top of clearing our table and bringing us tortillas, even though the restaurant was very full.
The array of food here is incredible along with it being exquisite it is a little crowded bit but it's totally worth the wait
This place was awesome!!! It had authentic Mexican food on the buffet.
First time bringing my family here. Thought we would have to a great experience but we had a very bad one. Chinese food tasted rotten and old, food was cold, beef fajitas were old and reheated and the tea was old. Tortillas were hard like a frisbee. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
The food is really good but the desserts not so much
Food is decent. I've had worse and certainly better. They do have a massive selection of dishes available through the buffet. That's the biggest win. Prepare to leave with your pants unbuttoned!
The food was amazing! Very authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend trying this place if and when you are ever in the San Antonio area. This place is a must!
Very good food and ample choices, l loved their pozole and the flautas.
Gave us a total we paid with card with what he said it came out to $32 well when I got home to call my card turns out they took out like $40 such a disappointment and I had left a tip on the table as well smh never again!!! Oh and the food wasn’t that great waitress was good everything else
Great customer service. However, variety doesn't have that much. But it was good.
This is a really good Mexican buffet the food is good really good and if you haven't been you should at least go once you experience it
Great place and Hugh variety of food
Never had been to a Mexican buffet. Great overall some dishes bland but for the most part everything was great.
The food was so bland. I've had better mexican food out of the worse food truck you can think of. Im not a picky eater but I felt like I wasted 30 bucks
Beef fajitas were decent. Fried fish was hard. Green enchiladas were dry and little hard. Which is weird because I purchased my buffet at 11:03 am. Chinese rice needs work, just wasnt tasty. I enjoyed my coke and banana pudding. Wish I could of got my money back but I hate asking for a refund. Will not be returning
The food was okay, I remember it being better when the restaurant opened up. Probably new cooks
Not. The best but its ok...
Too pricey. Good selection but $50. For 2 adults +1 child. Never again.
The food was plentiful and very well seasoned. I love the choices in the buffet.
Their regular, large crowd is a good indicator that the food is good and the price is reasonable. Freshly made tortillas, menudo, and a large array of Mexican foods will satisfy any urge for Mexican food. The buffet also offers some Asian dishes, but my favorite part is the large bakery of cakes, cookies, puddings, cobblers, and ice cream - all freshly made and very yummy!
Service was great despite being a group of 16 . Idk the name of the waitress but great service .
WE REALLY LOVED THIS PLACE! Great food, authentic Mexican taste, then I tried the Chinese food options they have and was surprised with also amazing flavors, and their cheesecake is one of the bests I've had here in San Antonio. Wednesday non alcoholic beverages are free with dinner!
Food was sitting out all day. Stale enchiladas stale fried shrimp... the menudo was good chicken wings and rice and beans but thats it of what i tried.... excellent service very friendly just the food, it sucks
