The prices are good. Most of the food is good too, but some stuff isn’t so great. Also, if you’re going here for your first time, some of the staff (mainly the guy at the grill) will give you attitude. Overall it was good, but annoying trying to ask questions from certain staff.

This place used to be our go to buffet. Their food has gone so downhill from when I began coming here 8 years ago. There are only a few good things on the buffet, and they are always running low. They definitely don't replenish it as often as they should. Overpriced for what is offered.

I tried this with my family on July 10. First let me start off by saying that I absolutely love Chinese food. Chinese food is something I can always go for and even at a buffet But Fortune Cookie Chinese Buffet proved to me that not all Chinese buffets are good. First, the Sierra Mist I received had a weird taste, but nothing too worrying so I changed it to a Dr. Pepper. I went up and I got the Shrimp Fried Rice, Teriyaki Chicken, Egg Drop Soup (my favorite soup), and two Egg Rolls. The Egg drop soup here is one of the worst I’ve tasted at any buffet. It didn’t even taste like the egg drop soup I love. And then there’s the Fried rice - where I would take a bite and have a mix of warm and cold rice. How does that even happen? The Egg rolls were mediocre, at best, with hardly any flavor coming through yet I managed to enjoy it more than anything else I’d ate to that point. Finally I tried the teriyaki chicken and I will say that was my favorite part of the entire meal. Really, this isn’t the worst Chinese buffet I’ve had. I see these good reviews so maybe I came in at a bad time, but since I can only review based on my own experience I have to say this was not my favorite place

Pretty good Chinese buffet. Serves mediocre Chinese food but the selection is awesome. They also serve flautas and mini tacos and the wait staff always made sure our drinks were filled. The dessert selection was also large and the price was fair. 8 dollars for adult buffet and 2 dollars for soft drinks. Nice and clean inside. Totally coming back. I'm stuffed!

Love this place! Me and my wife always come here! One of our favorite spots to come too. The food is always good, and the steaks are always amazing! Jessie is usually our waitress and she is amazing!! Super sweet, and always helpful! She’s always one top of everything, and always makes sure our drinks are full. This place used to be good, not anymore. Food is okay at best. The place is filthy and the carpet smells disgusting. Selection is minimal, the main feature people seem to like is the chocolate fountain which isn't that great honestly. Haven't been back in a long while and probably won't.

Okay so I was at fortune cookie I'd say about a month ago evening time I might add....And I did not write my review.. but it was not very good. Today we went before lunch hour was over and it was great I want to go ahead and extend that and say it was fantastic....the food and service was not only great but the price was under $9 a person. Definitely will be our go-to after service meetings. Original spot was to go to chopsticks but it was overcrowded..... Fortune Cookie will definitely our first choice after service...

This place is ok. Some of the food is good. Along with the usual theres steak, tacos and sushi. 30 mins before dinner they try to start charging dinner prices. They also charge for children. My 1 year old was 1$ n my 3 year old was 3$ I believe. The shrimp was really gross. Had that thick black poop vein under the fried crunchy breading. Sushi was very warm. The crab Rangoon though is the best ive had at any buffet and the reason I go to fortune cookie.

The customer service was horrible. The waitress did not even speak to us but she spoke to everyone else around us. she took my mother-in-law's beverage removed it from the table without even asking her if she wanted a refill or if she wanted to try something different. Our table was the last table to be attended to when removing our plate. I would not recommend this as a first-time restaurant to bring your in-laws to.

Worst Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at. Mushy rice, mushy chicken, nasty taste. I spent 70 bucks for the worst food in San Antonio. Im new to this area, trying to find my new Chinese spot. THIS ISNT IT! Don't waste your money here ppl. There best food isn't even Chinese! Oh and they make you prepay so you can't walk out!!

The best! In fact the very best! The meat chef is awesome. The ribs, which is all I had meatwise, was tender, juicy and very tasty. Everything is good including the desserts. Service is quick because the payment is upfront and reasonable for the elderly, one can go directly to the buffet if u want to guess which is ur table and digging in is the order of the day. Bon appetit or Ching Chang Chung! (No racism intended just know those three names.)

We ate there on July 10th. I checked the reviews and saw it had good reviews, so we thought we would try it. The food was not good at all. The chicken had a really strange taste, the fish tasted bad. The rice was a mixture of cold and warm. The sushi tasted bad. The only good thing was the crab rangoons. I would not recommend eating here.

What can I say? It's a buffet. A pretty good standard one with lots of selections to make you come back for seconds, thirds, etc. All around typical Chinese American entrees and appetizers. Also, they have sushi, pizza, salad bar, dessert area and a man who makes you street tacos! I got full after the third round. So come hungry! On the downside the restrooms were dirty and smelly. I saw a piece of human feces on the floor! Tagging on the inside of the men's stalls! The food was good, just stay away from the restrooms. I hope management can do a better job from now on in that regard!

A San Antonio staple for decades, I decided to try it out, and I was very happy I did! The fare offered was fresh and tasty... I especially enjoyed the Boubon Chicken, the ribs, and the variety of sushi offered. Even the desserts were fresh - the cakes moist with nice frosting, fresh fruit, and a wide flavor selection of ice cream. The Fortune Cookie will be our 'go-to' Asian buffet!

I’m so sad because this is one of our special places to eat. It’s been a while but we’ve never been disappointed until tonight. (6:00 pm) The sushi was tough and tasted weird. My husband wouldn’t even eat it. That’s unheard of for him. The food was old. I had to stir it myself to break up the crust on top. The biscuits were super hard. Nobody is monitoring the food like I usually see at these types of buffets. The ice cream was too hard to scoop out. Also the carpet is very dirty as well as the mirrors. I want to try it again to see if it was just an off night but don’t want to at the same time. What happened?

Very disappointed. We went there because we saw that they had great reviews online. We were not expecting to have such a horrible experience. The place was way to over priced for the quality and selection of food compared to other buffets in San Antonio. We did not recieve or drinks until long after we were seated and eating. We had to ask another waitress who our waitress was just to get our first drinks. Afterwards we only saw her again once the entire time we were there. The place was not busy so we should have gotten better service. Many of the hot foods where just plain cold and the side where the mashed potatoes were did not appear to be heating at all. The food that was warm was not very good. In the ice cream section, one of the stations did not have running water. Therefore, the scoop could not be cleaned and was completely sticky. We will never eat there again.

Did not expect much; however, their bread rolls were excellent by being tastful, and fresh. A very good selection including seafood, desert, and 16 flavors of ice cream. I will try the Asada street tacos next time. They have them ( beef, chicken, shrimp, and pork) prepared fresh while you wait. Here you pay first, and they have a display of aqua frescas on the counter, a person is ready to seat you, and the servers check, and ask if you need refills. No flagging them down, or pivoting your head looking for them much. My soup bowl was removed without asking, and when I told server I was done, she clear my setting. A minor critique, their rice is a little dry, and some of the fruit was not ripe, but they try to upkeep everything. I believe in balanced assessments, and will return to view the rest of the wall art, and get more desert.

It had been about five years since I went to that buffet. I became allergic to shrimp and stoped going. I used to go, because they had, (in my opinion) the largest selection of shrimp dishes at any buffet; and the food was always fresh and good. But many things change over time. Bread was hard, sauces for many of the foods were unpleasing, the fried rice was the pits, and to top it off the prices went up. For my girlfriend and I, the bill was a few cents away from thirty bucks. So not eating shellfish anymore, I was very limited to what I could eat. And what I could eat, didn't taste good. I had a very poor experience, and don't expect to return.

The buffet had more then what had been expecting but not in a good way. They had Chinese food and even Mexican food. The Mexicans drinks had more of a watering taste to it. The waitress rarely came to pickup the plates or refill our drinks. They also made us use the same eating utensils and only gave us limited amounts of napkins. I wouldn't recommend this place.
