Don't let the steam coming out of the pre made dishes fool you it's not the food its just the water below. The food is cold. The one redeeming quality of the place is the Mongolian grill that has the "freshest" food. Not a second visit type of place.

For the price it is a little sad. Food was hard to get because there was so little on the buffet and the time it spent there was just not enjoyable. Hibachi is probably the way to go but if you’re going for food options I would look elsewhere.

I finally found some general Tao's chicken. Also the Chinese buffet restaurants have general Chow's chicken. I have some good sushi. Some nice spicy shrimp selections. All serve nice and hot. The glasses of iced tea were kept full.

They have the best Salmon in the valley. Also wayyy more affordable, but best in quality. I've been to all the restaurants in the valley for salmon. Plus it's all you can eat. Compared to a little slice you get at other places for $15+

I have been going to this restaurant for years! I have never had a bad experience and their food is the best..i will literally only go to this place for chinese food because I don't like the other chinese restaurants in Harlingen. And if you're going try the Lo-Mein it is hands down the best Lo-Mein I've had!!

3 stars, food is are great, price is reasonable, atmosphere ok. Don’t come to this place after 5pm! They don’t bring out food, the magolian grill workers have a bad attitude and just hate their job. Asian employee was on his phone the whole time not checking the food or employees. I had to ask if they were gonna bring out more food cause most of it was gone.

To start, I'm from San Antonio (so I'm used to a lot more selection). It was one adult and two senior meals at 4:00pm it cost just over $30(we all got water). If it had been 3 adults, I wouldn't have even mentioned price. I ALWAYS get a plate and make a 'sampler'(one or two pieces of whatever they have or I want to try) and then decided what I want to get more of. I made my sampler, and I threw up when I tasted the Sweet&Sour Sauce. However, the other two people did not have the same reaction, just small complaints about taste being slightly off. So, I sat and waited for them to finish, and just put it off to me being used to a 'higher quality' type food. After a few minutes, I realized I was hungry so I just got up and got fruit. And let me just say I have not had Honeydew as good as it was here. Maybe because we're in the valley? And y'all actually know how to tell if a melon is ripe? It doesn't matter. In San Antonio, I have never found a place that served Honeydew as sweet as here, it made the food seem less important. I was going to give 1 star, but other guest in my party were okayish, and the honeydew was amazing.

There's another buffet called china star across the road that does lunch for a good price, go to it instead.

I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It serves the most delicious varieties of chinese food egg rolls, oysters, Salmon baked fish, fruit salads, small square cocoa cakes, fruit jello, and soft drinks of your choice, childrens plates, they have high chairs, and very clean rest rooms.The staff and waitresses are very friendly and polite very professional, they also have a Senior Citizen discount, the price is affordable.

Food is okay. Seems like most of it has been sitting there for hours. Also half the restaurant was closed off, they had a certain area to sit and it was no where near the closing time. The waitress staff is also rude and unprofessional, we needed a high chair for our baby and when we asked the waitress she just pointed and said "they are over there" pointing at the blocked off area. Overall experience was awful!!!!

My first time back in over a year after a bad experience. The staff seemed legitimately glad to see me. The food was great, but I've always loved their food. The Mongolian grill is irresistible. The lady at the front was crabby, but she was part of that bad experience I mentioned. Based on this trip: 5 stars

My rating dropped after I saw them putting pineapple for the mongolian bar out of a can. The food is good and the cook cooking your food for you is awesome so do not forget to tip. This made me however wonder about how much of the food comes out of a can instead of fresh. Other than that I love the barbecue ribs which is amazing being that its a chinese buffet.

The only reason I give one star is for our server, very attentive and pleasant. Went during lunch. The restaurant, however, NEVER again. the food was horrible, not fresh and if it was the temperature to the steam table is too high. Steam coming out of the steam tables but by the time you arrived at your table the food was cold. Lunch Buffet not worth $8.29 (adult). The floor, STICKY!! My husband's sandal came off his foot and was stuck to the floor. IF you have no other choice but to go to Crazy Buffet (Hgn) get the Magnolia Grill, at least you know it'll be fresh and definitely hot. But please leave a tip for the hard working guy.

I love the food I just dont like the way they wanna "here" and "coral" everyone to one side and literally have you on top of each other. I was on a date and it was uncomfortable due to the fact they sat a large family with a screaming kid right next to us. Then on top of it on of the guys there was so close to me I didnt know Who was my date.

I started coming here at the end of 2017 periodically and I'm the beginning it was amazing! The last 2 times i went were a huge letdown, and when i went today (on labor day thinking things would be fresh af it's a holiday) my girlfriend and I only started for 10 minutes. All of the food options were barely warm and everything tasted old and haven't been changed out since they made it. Sorry guys I will never again come here it's just not worth going anymore, to anyone reading this I hope your experience is better then mine but please heed my warning.

The food looks fresh. The staff is rather self absorbed. Parents tend to allow the children to roam and make a mess that then needs to be cleaned by the staff which they do. They had, fried fish, crunchy cream cheese filled ragoon, spicy dishes, even fried battered shrimp.

The grill was amazing. You choose the veggies and meat you want. They grill it fresh. Yum yum. The rest of the buffet is good too. Lots of choices. The price was just over $10 for all you can eat.

The food is good but there is this one waitress who stopped doing her job and being friendly with us just because we didn't leave a tip. She actually snared at us. She is the Oriental one that works there so we try to go when the other waitresses are there. Now they are awesome!

This place is really nice, it's clean! The service is alright. The food it's very good, if your looking for Mongolian or Chinese food, come here it's so good! It does kind of get full at some points but not all the time. I would recommend to eat here if you would want to eat Chinese food!

The quality of food is bad! Dry, hard.and cold. Used to have large fried shrimp! Now is very small. Prices are higher! Dinner hour starts at 4 PM and 6 PM other place. We were there at 3.33. She said that they started at 3.30 PM. Every unsatisfied!

Oh my where do I start with this place. I was tired of all the holiday eats, so was craving something different. We went for an early dinner, around 5:30pm. My thought was the food would be fresh. I was way wrong. The owner I was told had sent all the waitresses home and only had one waitress for the whole restaurant. The buffet and dining area were filthy, food everywhere. I slipped twice on food. There was hardly any selection of food and what was there looked like it was leftover from lunch. The hot grill chef had no clue what he was doing. When I asked the owner for sweet and sour sauce he told me the guy who makes it went home, so sorry there was no more to be had. Amazing to me. Then when I sat down the chair was broken causing it to flip up and hit me in the back. Embarrassing! So hardly any food, kids running around crazy, one which punched my boyfriend in the stomach. Ha that was the highlight. So for a buffet with hardly any food, dirty environment, and broken furniture, I should have eaten tamales instead. Needless to say I asked for my money back, which was a pricey $10.95 for that nonsense. The owner gave me my money back and I will never return. I know we dont have many choices in Harlingen for Chinese, so if your really craving Chinese make your choice wisely.

Not the best place or the worst place Ive ever eaten. If you have the munchies and want a lot of food cheap, then this is your spot. Waitress never spoke to us. Many pans empty during lunch rush. Very noisy, lots of free range kids with no adults that cared. Dint sit in the booths, they are wobbly and every time someone moves you feel it. Needs a serious makeover.

First and last time eating there...sushi is simply rice rolls, imitation crab pieces on rice, HEB is better! Food mostly empty and what was there was not even warm, room temp at best - NOT good or healthy. NO veggie items on to be cooked station, all items empty...guess they really don't want you eating fresh cooked hot food. If this is the best Harlingen has to offer for Asian buffets how sorry is that! Will NEVER return or recommend, note to owners: put your money into quality food items/staff instead of cheesy 2018 calendars! Color us not happy... :O(

I had food poisoning after eating here. How do they manage to mess every single item on the list and you can tell their food has been frozen for a while. The lady who charged me for my food in the front was on her phone the entire time, she didn’t even know I was their until I said something!!! The waiters were very friendly and attentive.

This restaurant is not going to be beaten, it is that good! There are countless dishes from which to pick, no one could possibly complain. The pork spare ribs are crazy good, honey basted and literally the meat falls off the bones. Delightfully sweet with the pungence of perfectly prepared pork, this dish puts New York's finest to shame. Whether you go in for the crisp sauteed string beans, lo meins, different editions of Oriental rice, soups, or dessert offerings, you'll find plenty to savor...each will present its own character, too. Seafood must be brought up here: Today I attacked the baked salmon. I say attacked because I had to go back for seconds. This was not fishy at all. It was salmon with only its best characteristics in play...not at all greasy, not breaded...but offered as it was meant to be... fish with a delicate taste and without cheese or other items to disguise the naturalness very fresh fish can offer. And their lobster&shrimp rolls are not to be overlooked. These are incredible! Light flaky pastry, superb marriage with seafood favorites. I pigged out on the above so didn't get to enjoy the dessert offerings I ordinarily enjoy greatly. But I had chocolate, butter-pecan and vanilla-oreo ice creams. Absolutely wonderful!

This is the most unclean Chinese Buffet I have ever been to. It was only about 7:30 pm and the food looked lime it had been out there for serval hours, they had a garabage can next to a wall in plain sight about 5 feet from the salad and desert bar and you had to walk by it to get to the booths on the opposite side if the restaurant where the waitress dumps the food customers do not finish eating. Im no expert but I think they were flys not reaaly sure but they were flying around the food. In conclusion ear at your stomachs risk.

They price gouged just cuz it was Valentine's day. They have beer displayed but don't sell beer got charged dinner prices at 3 in the afternoon. The food was alright though. Would I go back? Yeah probably only cuz there is very little choices here in harlingen.
