Good burger, good German potato salad, good beer. Stopped in for the first time last night, got there right before it got crazy busy and had the farm Burger. It was really good, tasted all of the flavors and the roll was tasty also. My wife got the kielbasa and sweet potato fries, she enjoyed that too. Wish we could've got waters refilled but in the end, we'll be back!

Food was tasty. German food offerings an interesting changeup from burgerdom. Staff was the problem. Not terrible. Just not good. Had six for lunch and were not allowed to be seated until driver that was parking the car was standing right there. (Parking is not ideal but it is Nashville). One order was sent back because of food allergies that were discussed and waitress assured us it would be taken care of. Nope. Maybe this is a personal thing for me, but the staff obviously enjoyed each other much more than the customers. It's like we were in the way of their good time. Hostess staring at her phone for the 1 1/2 hours we were there. Not thanking customers when leaving. That sort of thing. So the food was pretty good but the experience was not.

Visited here while staying on the north side of Nashvegas. The burgers and beer are really good. I would recommend this place to anyone that is not a vegetarian.

We had to wait a bit, but it must be because the food at this place is delicious! The chicken club sandwich I ordered was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It was well seasoned and the toppings were great. Our server was excellent as well. Definitely recommended.

Really disappointed with our visit. We love burgers (and beer) and read all the great reviews. Our wait wasn't too bad for a table but the actual wait for food was astonishing. We're talking burgers here. We waited close to an hour. The server recognized our concern and kept assuring us the food was on the way. They did realize it took forever and gave us a small compensation on the bill. The actual burgers were meh. We ordered them medium but they came out well done. Ever sit waiting for your food for an hour? Doesn't matter how its cooked we were so hungry we ate it. Not happy but we still ate it. Not impressed. The beer was served warmer than I would like but some people, including the Germans, like it that way. Hopefully your visit is better than ours.

Wife and I had lunch here today for the first time. The Pharmacy has a good beer selection, great atmosphere, and better than average food. My wife had the Mission City Burger with sweet potato fries and I had the Pesto Chicken Sandwich with hand cut fries. The burger/sandwiches were very flavorful. My chicken, though the chicken was on the thinner side, was very juicy. The house made pesto was really tasty. There was no wait, but we arrived just before the lunch rush. The most poignant downside for me was the fries were hit or miss. Better than 90% of the sweet potato fries were soggy and chewy with a very bland flavor. The hand cut fries were a bit more consistent but only barely. More than half of those were soggy to the point of being inedible. Service was quick and polite, burgers were well above average, restrooms were clean, only complaint was the fries. Give this place a shot, I don't think you will be disappointed.

This place was the first restaurant I ate at in Nashville, and it set the bar high. I would go back just to get their phosphates, which are like specialty soft drinks. I recommend getting the sweet potato fries and the orange creamsicle phosphate.

Why 5 stars? Because 10 stars isn't an option. Love the outdoor dining, but I was here in early fall so the temp was perfect. May have been the best burger....EVER! I was so into the burger that I forgot to grab a picture. The seasoning, the amazing bun, the texture of the burger... and of course..being cooked to perfectly medium rare is what made the burger great. If your thinking about going, STOP thinking about it and go!

Oh my! We truly loved this place. The food was amazing and our server was so kind and patient with us. We have 8 kids. We sat outside and the children enjoyed their dinner very much. Gotta try the Babe Ruby beer and lemonade!! Ask for Julia to be your server. She was the best!!q

This place actually lives up the hype. Best food I had in Nashville so far! I had black bean burger with potato salad. My husband had chocolate malts, cheese burger with bacon and eggs and tator tots. All delicious. Only regret I have is not ordering double order of potato salad! It is so comforting. The pharmacy has become a staple of East Nashville. None for their burgers, they absolutely do not disappoint. The prices are fantastic, but there are multiple other places around Nashville to get a better burger for a better price. If you plan on going on the weekend, be prepared to wait for at least 2 hours unless you get there really early. It is a really good place to eat, but for the price and the wait I feel like it's not worth it.

Pros: amazing burgers and sides (highly recommend the tots). Large portions. Did I mention the burgers? Wide selection of burgers, some of which are a bit too creative for me to try, but every burger I've ordered I loved. The Beer Garden is really pleasant to sit in during nice weather. Can accommodate large parties (with a wait). Huge selection of beers, moderate selection of wines, can check in on yelp. Service is fast and courteous Cons: no reservations means you could be waiting a while for a table, not uncommon to be told over an hour wait for a table for 2. The wait is coupled with no waiting area, so plan accordingly in inclement weather. Bar doesn't carry liquor. General information: the wait is long but the service is super quick, so that's a pretty good balance

ABOVE AND BEYOND! ALWAYS THE BEST! I don't know where to begin, "The Pharmacy" Restaurant has The best food & overall experience I have ever had the good Pleasure to Experience and be a part of! I just cannot say Enough good things about "The Pharmacy" I wish I lived much Closer so I could return again and again! I ate The Stroganoff Burger with Extra Fries & a side of Chili! It Was Incredible! I Also ate the Curry Wurst Entree (most of it) some I took with Me but it too was incredible! DELICIOUS DOES NOT BEGIN TO DESCRIBE "THE PHARMACY" Paul was my server outside in "The Biergarten" and he made my experience beyond belief! I'm so impressed with the entire experience at "The Pharmacy" Beyond 5 stars.

My friends and I being recent pharmacy school graduates decided we just had to grab a bite at The Pharmacy while in town. The wait was about 30-45 minutes which we didn't mind. What we didn't like was that there isn't much waiting area inside (which becomes a problem on hot and rainy days which we encountered) and there didn't seem to be an effective way of being alerted when a table was ready. Instead we just kept walking back inside to ask the receptionist. The place seems to have plenty of tables/seating space but we were seated outside which isn't a bad area either with the exception of the flies that were swarming. The food itself was good and came out in reasonable time. I will admit that our experience was not very pleasant as it began to rain while we were seated outside and were told there was no seating inside. As a result we ended up in the beer garden to finish out meal. Not sure if I would return, I think the service could certainly be better. Giving three stars only because the rain interrupted our meal and prevented us from having a full experience. Would consider two stars.

Really liked the Farm Burger. Burger Patty, country ham, bacon, and a fried egg. So delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Make sure you do the online check in because this place is popular and as such very busy. Checking in online will save you so wait time so you can get right to the food.

The food here is pretty good, but when I went, there was a long wait, and when my party was finally seated, the restaurant was extremely crowded and loud. I'm not sure if the food was good enough for me to go through that hassle again, but if you don't mind loud, crowded places, then you should give it a go.

Great burgers, good portions and pricing is appropriate. Indoor and out door seating. Our food took quite a while to get to our table and once it did, the sweet potato fries were cold. Our waitress promptly replaced them and all was good. Aside from the lengthy food to table wait time , great restaurant. Families, small groups and couples seated easily. Lack luster! I don't know what all the hype is about. I recently went for a second time because my husband hadn't tried it for himself and I thought maybe the first poor experience wouldn't be duplicated. The first visit, all my food was cold. It was during the lunch rush with coworkers, about two years ago. This time my husband and I asked to be seated inside and the waiter proceeded to take us to the patio area. Then I told him that I meant the inside inside when I said inside. There was no one sitting out on the patio and there was still plenty of seating inside inside. He brought us in and sat us next to the restroom. I ordered the chili burger. It was ok at best. The meat was very tight and they hadn't asked how we wanted our burgers cooked. Shortly after our food arrived I began to smell something awful. Like someone went to the bathroom and left the door open. So we moved to the bar. I caught another waft of the smell. We had to leave. The waitress was polite. I really just don't see what all the hype is about.

First time at Pharmacy Burger and these folks did not disappoint. I followed my server's advice and tried a refreshingly sweet house-made lemon creme sulfated soda. I then ordered the classic farm burger. It came out super fast, perfectly cooked with fried egg and smoked meats, served on a fresh soft bun with a maple mustard glaze. There was a hefty heap of crispy tots that were complimented nicely with a side of the beer cheese for dipping. Comfort food for sure

Really good, great Atmosphere.. we got their late and seemed like everyone was just in a rush to be done and go home. Ordered sweet potato fries and only a few were edible because they were SO over cooked... Ordered tator tots with beer cheese specifically for the beer cheese.. they were out of beer cheese and no one verified if we even still wanted the tots without the beer cheese, they just brought them. I can see where the good night be amazing if we got there earlier.

Have eaten here several times and been excellent every time. Had the cheese burger and was not disappointed with hand cut sweet potato fries. The cream soda made in house was one of the best things about the meal and truly capped off a great meal. Was rainy today so not able to sit outside but overall great experience and will be back and next time save room for a milkshake.

One of the best burgers I've ever eaten! Ate here 2 years ago and had to come back. I got the stroganoff burger and it is delicious, they nailed the stroganoff flavor. The bun holds up well, especially since the burger was saucy. The craft sodas they offer are also yummy, especially the pharmacy cream soda. Service is fantastic and burgers are a solid 10/10.

Ok so this was my second time trying it. First time no thrill. Basic burger no condiments plenty of tomatoes but meat very dry. Fries mediocre. To many black spots in potatoes but they are fresh cut....maybe. Customer service guess its particular to your skin color. I received none. So if your near my color or darker I advise a different route. This is for tourists who thinks this has been Nashville culture. It's not. This is for tourists I repeat.

The food is delicious (burgers and bratwursts), and they have a great selection of beers/ciders! I've been there twice. I recently went on a Friday night and got on the waitlist before arriving and still had about a 20-minute wait which we spent at the bar before a table was ready. The wait staff didn't take our order for ~10 minutes, and then it took a very long time to get our food (just 2 meals). I think we spent over 2.5 hours there, even after being on the waitlist 20+ min before arriving. I will likely return, but I'll have to make sure I have plenty of time if I want to eat there.

AMAZING ATMOSPHERE!! Sit 9itaide if you can, there are heat lamps and plenty of seating. The drinks are good, the food is cooked well but overly salty. The chocolate milkshake is AMAZING and not overly chocolatey. Definitely trying a spiked milkshake next time.

Easily one of the best burger joints in the Nashville area. In addition to craft sodas, their selection of craft beers (although mostly bottled or canned) is great too. If you plan to go on the weekend or during other prime dining hours, you should expect a short wait. But it is worth it.

This place is a gem. Delicious burgers. Amazing and unique beers. Service is great...really nice people. Whenever I'm in town, this is the dinner spot. I've not yet had the sodas or shakes, because I'm always too full from the burger and beer(s). It's a family friendly vibe (for a sit-down meal), but also a hipster feel, in a good way (especially at the bar). Parking can be very rough in this area, so Uber over if you can. Expect a wait, but it's worth it.

I was in Nashville for the weekend and I overheard someone on my flight talking about this place so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a southwest-style burger and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The buns they use seem very unique and truly make the burger one-of-a-kind. One of the best burgers I've had period. The Farm burger is a beast! Ham, bacon and egg, totally recommend! If you're not used to malt shakes proceed with caution because they require a sweet tooth. I enjoyed them but some did not in my group. There was also a strawberry rose spiked shake that was amazing! Service was quick as well.

We were seated immediately even though there was a bit of a wait. The table were directed to was awful. It was underneath a tree without an umbrella. I chose to have a seat at the bar when the hostess seemed annoyed by my request for a new table. We loved the ambience and vegan / vegetarian options, but the flavor was lacking in my falafel burger (toppings are not vegan). My daughter seemed to love her Mission burger. At least my bartender was sweet.

This is a great place for wonderful burgers! It is a local place that has become very popular. The wait is about an hour or better if you didn't call ahead and put your name on the list. It was a bit noisy, but it was Saturday night. Don't forget to get the tots!!! Food was hot and service was very good.

Wow, I can't believe how many great reviews this place has. Maybe the citizens of Nashville have just truly never tasted a proper burger. Let me tell you, this place is very average. Seriously. Just believe me on this one. The burger was dry, and not very well seasoned. Bun was actually quite good, and the toppings were fresh but that isn't exactly ground breaking nor difficult to achieve for any restaurant. The only redeeming quality is the large portion size. I've had better burgers at corporate chains to be honest. Ive had better service as well. The service at this place is absolutely dreadful. Our waiter, Patatouille, didn't even introduce himself. He came right up, set down the waters and said "I'll be right back". Didn't even say "hello". Well, "I'll be right back" turned into 10 minutes and never once did he state his name. Simply no manners. He seemed quite annoyed throughout the service. I know a bad server a mile away and that man is not cut out to be a server. Best to trim the fat and be rid of him. I analyzed his interactions with other guests and they were treated poorly as well. Honestly, If it weren't for the receipt, I'd have no clue who he was. My wife reluctantly tipped him against my wishes. She is a kind woman.

I had the chilli burger and it was awesome the atmosphere was great, music playing and people laughing and talking everyone in my party was very satisfied with their food and drinks. It was also family friendly as we had 5 children with us. Our server was very busy but still managed to give us good service. We will definitely go back.

Always heard the hype about the Pharmacy but was never afforded the opportunity to visit until a trip through the city brought us near the restaurant. So obviously we had to stop. We actually called in an order, which was the right call because people were waiting on the sidewalk. The burgers were excellent. I devoured mine like a starved animal. Would definitely eat here again!

Our server was very knowledgeable about gluten allergies, which I appreciated. I normally don't eat out if I don't feel like the server "gets it"... But she knew exactly what to order and what to skip. I did enjoy their burger over arugula with no bun, and a side of cole slaw. Don't go with a big party, you will end up outside on some bench's with rocking tables attached to them. I love the food here and had a horrible time because the party we were with had to be split and they won't let you combine tables and will get extremely rude with you if you try, so don't. Do not go if the weather isn't to your preference.

Went in for an early lunch. Enjoyed the 80s music. Parked on a street very nearby. We sat at the bar and were most instantly given water and asked about additional drinks. My Pharmacy burger was very tasty and well prepared. My sweetie had the Stroganoff burger, also very good. Fries and tots were good. The bar staff are entertaining and helpful.

My mom and I love this place! We've only been to Nashville twice but this place easily has the best Turkey Burgers I've had. I can't speak to other things on the menu, but the turkey burger was delicious. The patio setting they have is very very nice, it's awesome! The actual inside is a bit cramped, crowded, and chaotic, so I would recommend going on a nice evening so you can sit outside on the patio (it's covered and has a bar out there, it's huge). But overall it's a busy, upbeat, modern burger place, I would recommend it for just about anyone, and get the turkey burger!

This place lives up to all the other reviews in my opinion. We went twice during our stay in East Nashville, once just for drinks and then once to try the burger everyone raves about. On a nice day this is one of the best atmospheres for drinks and food you could ever imagine. Gorgeous patio area with string lighting and picnic tables with a beer garden type feel. They offer a huge variety of alcoholic beverages imported from all over the world; Spain, Germany, Belgium and one or two Czech beers just to name a few. There are plenty of local beers and other domestic beers as well. The service was attentive and timely with our food and drinks arriving quickly even with the restaurant at capacity. We tried the cheese burger and the mission burger, both of which I would recommend. A side of tater tots with one and the hand cut sweet potato fries with the other. Crispy and flavourful all around. The burgers themselves were cooked perfectly without being overseasoned which allowed the Tennessee beef to shine. The buns seemed to be freshly made and held the burger together perfectly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a burger is East Nashville.

It was amazing. They have a few burgers to choose from as well as some Sausages. They are Vegan friendly. Nice selection of beers as well as their own cream soda. I can’t say enough. I will have to get a shirt the next time I go. The “Wurst Burger” joint

I'll start out by saying I was miserably hungover so my taste buds might have been compromised... First thing I saw on their menu was the unique soda options which was cool, I had the maraschino cherry soda. It was ok but tasted like medicine. I ordered the pharmacy burger and waited for what seemed like forever (again, could've been the hangover). I think I just had high expectations based on other reviews, the burger was very good but I was expecting greatness. Next time I'm in Nashville I'll give it another try

The outside area is a cool place. Unfortunately the burgers do not come with fries so your total will add up pretty fast. I got the stroganoff burger that was recommended by our server and it was a nice size burger but I wasn’t moved by the flavor unfortunately. It was good burger, but based on the reviews I expected a great burger. Outside of that, it’s a cool spot.

Very busy on an early Friday evening, but we were able to get a beer outside while we waited. Interesting beer selection. Farm burger was pretty good, as were the sweet potato fries, and everyone else with me enjoyed their food too. Bartenders and servers were running hard but still attentive.

It's not often I have such a hard time deciding, but there was so much good looking food on this menu. I ordered the Mission City Burger which was definitely the best burger I've ever had. I kind of can't wait to go back to try another. I also had the creamsicle soda which was very tasty. We went at an off time but it was still packed so you probably need to add a wait time to your plan but it's more than worth it. The staff were all excellent, very nice and helpful. Our server brought water right away including a cup with straw for the kiddo without our even having to ask. The decor is nice though be warned this is a loud place. Perfect for us, maybe not for others. It's a little crowded so handicap accessible seating didn't seem to be too convenient and some areas, including the outdoor seating, are up stairs. The outside area looked really cute and maybe there was a ramp I didn't see because we were seated inside. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place.

I've been here twice, years apart. Absolutely as good as I remembered. Their burgers are fantastic with plenty else to eat and drink! The only drawback was that we didn't have room for a milkshake. If you are exploring outside of Downtown Nashville, then you need to go here.

Busy place. Parking is tough, and there was a line to get in. Wait was pretty quick. Good burger and beer selections on offer. Ordered the farmer's burger and the IPA and the Kolsch. Beers were good. Burger was a touch over salted (wasn't a deal breaker). Lots of pepper in there, too--I love a peppery burger! Flavor was great and the bun was excellent. Despite being busy and dinner hour, our waitress was spot on. Overall it was an excellent dinner in a cool local place. Absolutely recommended if beers and burgers are your kind of thing.

You must go eat here. It was so delicious. The flavors on my chicken club was truly an experience and the German potato salad was delicous too. I took a taste of my husbands burger and sweet potato fries and everything was so good. It feels laid back, German pub feel and even has a ourdoor beer garden. I'm excited to go again and definitely see why this place is rated so high. For once, its not over rated.

I give the pharmacy Burger three stars because the atmosphere is really great and the staff is as nice as they can be, or at least as nice as anyone could be in such a busy atmosphere. It was a 45-minute wait, but my husband and I decided to wait anyway. The fries were very soggy and average, but the burgers were okay. I wouldn't give the burgers and a plus, but they were decent. They had a bar and I didn't have to wait long for any of my drinks because there were three people behind the bar. The hostesses, when I went outside to get some fresh air while I waited to be seated, we're very apologetic. So, in summation, the staff is great but the food is average and the weight is ridiculous, especially on a weekend. The patrons seem to be mostly young hipsters, which I can identify with. So I like that part of it. I also really like their outdoor seating area, but because they were so crowded I couldn't get a seat out there and I didn't want to wait any longer just to sit outside in the heat. I can't really say that I would recommend this place to anyone because I've been to so many other places almost exactly like it. So, three stars it is and one, not two, thumbs up.

This is my second visit. My first visit was when they first opened...I think. I believed at the time that it was pretty pricey for a burger. However I decided to get an Angus beef burger, since a friend of mine was treating me to lunch. And the burger was so delicious I sat in awe while eating this delectable an absolutely delicious Burger. I decided to come back with some friends tonight, and although the service was good and the server was very nice and punctual, I was not pleased at all with what I ordered. I wanted to get something different, so I got the bratwurst sausage with sauerkraut and some spicy type mustard. I hate to say I was very disappointed. The bun was dry, the coleslaw had limited if not no flavor, the sauerkraut wasn't sour oh, and I found myself eating sweet potato fries and regular fries off other friends plates. I believe that the burgers are still just as good. Because my friends were not complaining about it. Only one did not think it was impressive. If I come back, I will order a burger instead since I was so impressed with it the first time.
