Alex Garcia

Food was great! Great atmosphere & even better service. Jack was an amazing server, she was super nice & attentive. We will definitely be going back.

Hannah Puckett

Always a cool place to go, but we don't make it in as often as we'd like since the wait time on the weekends is average 35 min. It seems to suit the college crowd very well and the trivia nights are teeming with active parties.

Sarah Rogers

Pretty good, chicken was a little bland and the tots are better than the fries for sure. Nice when the windows are open, but you are out of the elements.

Rebecca Miller

I've been meaning to go here for awhile. Trivia in a Sunday night brought me in and I was not disappointed. The food was great and it's such a funky spot with eclectic decor. We'll be back for sure.

Matthew Knapp

Love, love, love this place. The chicken is fantastic and well seasoned, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is worth more than the rest of it. I bring everyone I know who visits Nashville here.

Angie M.

Great cocktails and the poutine is a must try!

Jessie Atkinson

The salad was not good at all. The flavors clashed, I got the salad with avocado and the red wine vinaigrette and it was not a good mixture.

Heath Jinkins

My favorite restaurant on 12 South, full stop.

Rebekke Muench

One of our all time favorites in Nashville. The tater tots are delicious and there are a wide variety of options for meals. They are also very accommodating for food allergies as well. I was unable to find any calorie/nutrition details so do be aware of that.

Jack Mallett

If you are looking for something different, go check out the Flipside. Definitely something for everyone, always attentive staff.

Achilles Solomos

Good food cool atmosphere but music too loud for converstions

Angi Voigt

Unique, chicken was just chicken. Kids menu was left to be desired.

Halie Parks

Very cool spot! Drinks are great and food is delicious. I reccomend the tater tot nachos. Great atmosphere and lots of locals spots near by.

Eldon Fields

Great retro feel. Food had some unique twists like the tater tots nachos. The variety of chicken dishes had something for everyone. We will be back again.

Athan Burke

Good prices but the chicken was Not that good, they overdid it a little on the quantity of toppings on the chicken but their tater tot portions were huge! Service was 5 stars and the staff were so kind and asked if we needed anything multiple times. PHOTO IS AFTER I ATE A LITTLE

Lillian Windom

Fun experince. Not somewhere I'd have to visit often

Greg White

Pretty good food and decent prices

Jody Packer

If you like your chicken pounded and the toppings high, go to flipside. Cool retro vibe with friendly staff and delicious food. You won't be disappointed.

Deidra Rankin

So yummy. The service was fast and the staff was friendly and fun. Celebrate a birthday there for a special surprise. The chicken was spot on with a perfect amount of toppings. I recommend the Greek chicken and add a side of tots for the perfect meal.

Sue Roberts

Love this place. Such a vibrant and fun place. Food and service is great as well.

Kayla A

Cute spot where we can enjoyed our lunch.

Emily Gooch

We didn't eat there. We sat down for about 10min and the atmosphere was so loud that we left. The menu looked great and the restaurant was very nice looking, but between the music playing and the way noise carries from other guests, we couldn't see ourselves enjoying our time there. We would have liked to try the food. Maybe next time we will try to go when there are less guests.

Dakota Windom

The food is good. Nothing special but not too pricey, either. You're going for the drinks and the atmosphere. That "front porch" feel is unreal. Definitely swing by.

Christa Roscha

Pricey, but very good.

Mounir Lynch

Wish I had a pic of my meal which was the fried chicken with peanut butter and bananas on top. Bartender told me that was their best one so I got it. That was a mistake. Next time I come in maybe I’ll get a different option. The outrageous Bloody Mary is super expensive but you gotta get it! I love old signs so the aesthetic was great. Service really great too. Hopefully I can get a better impression of their chicken options next time, but I was hoping the sweetness and the fried chicken would balance out well, but it didn’t unfortunately. Still, great place!

Paula Meyer

Great food, unusual menu that is not "out there". Visiting on trivia night (Thurs) was the icing on the cake to our visit there.

I was born shortly before Y2K, so whether a place is Instagram worthy or not is kind of important to me. Wow this place is beautiful. Looks like a group of friends staring in the sitcom would be here every episode. Place looks like it was designed on HGTV in 1956. It's so pretty. It's so well decorated. Frankly they could of served me a piece of white bread with butter on it and I would still give it a good rating. It's just so damn pretty. It's so fun to sit in there and just look at the surrounding. Breath taking. Picturesque. Retro. Incredible. I'm a recent vegetarian so obviously I did not have jacks chicken. But I will say I had a grilled cheese off the kids menu and it was fantastically toasted. The drinks are super fun and trendy. The also get you nicely drunk, which is the entire reason I visited the flipside. Get drunk, sit in the adorable tiffany blue booth, and just admire the place.

brian emamalie

Good food great atmosphere

Glenn Whelan

The flip side is a fun environment to green a reasonable meal. No matter what time of day, the light, entertaining environment is a great distraction from the stresses if the day. The foodie feature is the chicken, hammered and flattened before cooking. It fits well on a sandwich or a salad, but be prepared for it to be lukewarm. If you like your food at a hot temperature, request the chicken be hot. Parking for the flip side is without a parking lot or structure. So you will look for street parking is paying for a spot on a lot. Be careful with posted parking limitations as they will quickly not your car!

Shakira King

They have an awesome drink with a crab leg in it.

Taylor Chapman

Delicious food, and cool atmosphere!

Alexis Hansen

Food was pretty good. I got a salad and it wasn’t my favorite but the ingredients were high quality. The fries were delicious! The staff were amazing!

Christopher Day

Great place to hangout and I really enjoy the food, and tots!

Michael Haines

Such an awesome twist on a chicken cutlet! If you're in search of a variation of some good ol Italian American comfort food, check this place out. I grew up in an Italian household where chicken cutlets (breaded and fried chicken breasts beaten thin) were a regular comfort food. Although it isn't like grandma makes - you'll enjoy quite unique toppings, phenomenal tots, a great bite to eat, and impressive bar tenders who can whip up any drink quickly. Definitely check this place out!

Blake Davenport

This place is excellent. Make it a regular spot when you go to Nashville!

Dana Wetherbee

Fun atmosphere and great selection. Delicious food!

Joseph D Kittle

Terrific breakfast and lunch place, the meal creations are all outstanding and the drinks are of high quality. Clean, happy place good location and interesting crowd. Highly recommend .

Chris Hubbard

One of my favorite places to eat in Nashville. Try the Memphis!

Benjamin Loosli

Nice with local people

Alec Down

The food was decent. Tho they need to learn to cook an egg properly. Our server also kind of forgot about us.

Paul and Lillian Bruns

We had a very good day brunch here. We sat at the bar and Chris did a nice job of taking care of everything. They had very good bloody Mary's, and a few variations. Their special thin pounded chicken was very good. They serve it a lot of ways and the ones we tried were very good. Nice place to stop and eat.

Joseph Lipsey III

The Bloody Mary is a great meal substitute. No joke!!!

Joseph Penney

Ok food. Great atmosphere. Wait staff was quick and friendly.

Lori Dawn

Happy hour & excellent service

Camille Turner

Margaritas are juice and the food is not worth the price.

Lizabeth Walsh

I love the tater tots and the atmosphere. Friendly waitstaff, tasty food, great retro decor. Bring the kids.

Aaron Joseph

Very friendly staff and great music! My food came out very quickly. I ordered the 'And That' (poutine over fried chicken with a fried egg) with tots instead of fries, but ended up getting both. The cheese curds and fried egg were amazing, but the fries and chicken tasted like the oil was too cold - neither were crispy and the chicken was dry. Tots tasted like they'd been sitting under a warmer for a while. Overall, decent experience, but the food left a lot to be desired.

Claire Karp

Rarely bother to leave a review but the food was so bad I feel I have to. First off, I actually cook chicken like this (thin sliced and then breaded) at home, so I know what went wrong. I ordered the brunch, it’s the chicken topped with bacon, two eggs and cheese, in that order. Chicken was sliced unevenly so some parts were very thin an very dry. The breading was falling off at places so the batter needs to be adjusted too. Bacon under eggs = soggy bacon. Should be on top or on the side The last straw (and personally the worst offense) were the over cooked eggs. I loooooove eggs and yolk was solid. Total bummer. Service was good and they did comped my meal. So sad the food was not up to par. Location is good although not parking.

John Biven

They serve a chicken breast pounded flat and covered with different toppings. This is my go to lunch spot. The coffee is fantastic, and they bring it to you in your own French press which is neat. The drinks are good also.

Samantha Gutierrez

Came here for their iconic bloody marys & it was great! Ironically im notna fan of bloody marys but theirs was perfect

Gary Damouth

Wack a$$ travel channel and wack a$$ bar Dont waste your time or your paper

Caileigh Tibben

The cutest little diner!! We had brunch here and all of the food was incredible!! There was excellent service and the decor was beautiful!

Marcia Johnson

Food tasted great! Service was too. Real cute place.

Amy Thomas

Fun atmosphere. Great service and good food. Family friendly and table games.

Natalie Nicholls

Plenty of 50s style, laid back vibes, good times, and totchos! Have been by for several fun trivia nights and a weekend brunch or two. The bloodies are pretty solid and the rest of the menu holds up without any complaints from me, especially when it comes to the milkshakes. If you're looking to have some fun in the 12 South area, then definitely consider swinging by Flipside.

Cee Kaye

Been to Nashville multiple times and the Flipside is one of our favorite places to return to. We actually rented a house right around the corner so we were close by! Make sure you try the Big Fix. Pictured here, it’s got everything you could ever ask for in a Bloody Mary! The chicken here is soooo delicious. Come to think of it... everything here is delicious. We will be back again hopefully sooner rather than later!

nolan hill

Awesome experience! Great chicken based meals and shakes. Perfect for a date night

S M

Ok food, good atmosphere.

Julia Rupp

We walked in and we’re greeted/seated by the host. After that we were never acknowledged again. The server walked by us several times and seemingly ignored us while greeting and serving other new tables. We were pretty confused so after 25 minutes we left. On our way out the host thanked us having no idea that we weren’t served. It was a strange experience. We did have fun playing trivial pursuit at the table. 10/10 for game supply...

Jeff Miller

It seems a simplistic thing...take a flattened chicken breast, top it with a variety of sauces and toppings. But frankly this is a great concept and delicious. The plates are enough to split/share, so my recommendation for a couple is to order two wildly different dishes. The open air feel created by the garage door walls help give it that vibe that just fits in a vibrant 12 South neighborhood. Within walking distance of some other great venues - Frothy Monkey and Five Daughters Bakery - be sure and hit this for an inexpensive meal. TIP - brunch time gets crazy so plan on a wait.

Vito M

Cool spot. Great food

Brent R.C. Nelson

A great lunch spot for quick, good food and street watching from the patio-feel seating...

Andy Shiver

This place was so awesome... Only downside was I legitimately ate way too many tater tots (which I didn’t think was possible)

Jerry McDaniel

Great place for a meal

Rich Rebetti

If you love chicken this is the place to go.

Molly Bahre

My husband and I LOVE this place. Great food, chill atmosphere, and a perfect place to watch the preds games if you don't like crowds. Sit at the bar and ask for Zoe!

Melissa Sarkozi

Bloody Mary's and tator tot nachos were great!

Samuel Edmondson

Went at noon Saturday for brunch and had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated. The vibe is fun, and the place is bustling. They have 2 for 1 mimosas for brunch, and they're a good price. The poutine was my favorite, and you get a lot for the price. I ordered the Elvis which came with bananas, honey, and bacon, and it was good. The chicken and waffles are good, and the waffles are fluffy. The chicken was difficult to cut at times but was good.

Jody Ricottone

We loved this restaurant. You walk inside and the feel is retro, but with a clean and modern twist. The high walled booths toe the line between a speak-easy vibe and a traditional diner. The menu is small, but offers something for everyone. The specialize in thin chicken cutlet fried (or grilled) then topped in a variety of ways, and served with tater tots or French fries. They also have some salads, a burger, and a wrap. They do traditional shakes and floats, but also have a full-service bar. When the weather is nice, they open up the front of the restaurant so you have an open air kind of feel.

Katrina Kassis

Cute place and delicious food! Everyone loved their brunch and the drinks were a hit too. Let's talk about those massive Caesars! Is it a drink? An appetizer? A meal? Next time I'm getting one of those! I love that this place is partly Canadian owned. The restaurant is adorable and I love the decor. Great prices and great service.

Jeff Brown

Awesome atmosphere, great service, fantastic food

Cheryl Stella Dalisay

This place is so worth the trip if you're visiting Nashville! Hustling and bustling full of energy, and the food is so unique and delicious! The chicken is super thin and cooked to perfection, and is the base for most of the interesting menu items. The Phukett sounds weird, but is delicious. as is the Pollo Ranchero....cooked perfectly! Don't miss this place! Then just walk a couple blocks and see the murals!

Marcia Blinzler

Great food and hot coffee and cold bloody mary

Navid Monajjem

Chicken awesome. Atmosphere great. Worth the long wait.

Abby Sparks Davis

The food was so unique! Super yummy and a very family friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be going back!

Nick Sanginario

Highly recommend this place

Jenny W.

Great food! Great service!

Shelley Johnson

Unique dining -- so many ways to eat chicken -- in an old diner atmosphere. The open air concept was fun! And in the great 12 South area.

Andrei Dumitrescu

Great experience. Menu is interesting, largely around chicken cutlet or schnitzel, with various toppings. Good fun cocktails and a variety of beer tap and can selection. Fun atmosphere though the music is not quite the retro vibe of the rest of the place. And a small parking lot out back.

Brooke Shelton

Friendly Staff, super hip atmosphere. Average price for a meal. Clean restroom. They bring a jug of water to the table. We did loaded tots as an appetizer. It's HUGE! You have so many different options to top your chicken with, it's delicious. Known for their amazing Bloody Mary's. Saw several people have them, not my drink of choice. Enjoy!!

Noah Burke

Very trendy and a cool 50’s atmosphere. Interesting menu is essential varieties of chicken parm. Service was good and food was interesting.

Chris Crupi

This place has a satisfying attention detail. Walk in grab a comic book and jam out to some great music featuring a lot of hip hop classics! They offer 2 for 1 drink specials, and have a killer Bloody Mary! Pro tip, they customizations in the Jacks Best Chicken dishes, loved their willingness to be creative!

JACKIE GREENWOOD

Best food and drinks, love the nostalgia of the place

Matthew Heinz

Really enjoyed it! They have nice retro decor and a unique menu. Their thing is flattened chicken breasts fried and then covered in your choice of toppings. Or you can eat it as a sandwich. Very good, and nice to try something a little different. Located in a beautiful area as well.

Ilissa Stovall

Chicken and waffles were amazing!!! And let’s not forget the Blood Mary!! This place is definitely worth the trip!!

Amber Jadus

There are a lot of very good looking male servers here. The sandwich was delicious. I got the Phuket

John Costello

Big Fix is my kinda meal

Kristen T

Trendy place. Just came here for The Fix. Bloody Mary was the best we had in the city. Many flies (since the windows were open) made it too distracting to enjoy our stay much while "eating" our bloody Mary. Comes with crab legs, a huge dill pickle, olives, a pepperoncini, tater tots, and their famous pan fried chicken for like $25. All of the toppings were good. Cute location. Must visit the bakery across the street!

Kelly Gotkin

Cute, kitschy space with excellent drinks. The #bubbles and gingerita were the best! Service was also attentive despite being there on a very crowded trivia night

josh kallsen

It was okay. Certainly not disappointed, but not overjoyed to be there either

Seung Ho 'Daniel' Jung

Fun trivia and the chicken menus were intriguing.

Morph M

One of my favorite restaurants to bring friends to! Its usually easy to get into and parking available in the back. It's always clean and I'm never disappointing by the food.

A Google User

I'm not understanding how this city has such a consistent performance in restaurants of mediocrity and idiocy and people continue to rave about the service and goods with such fanfare. It's like a violently abused child telling the world how loving and kind their parents are, knowing damn well that's not the reality. What was wrong? The server was pathetic. He was about as aware of our table and needs as a doorknob is aware of the wall. Food and tickets were out of order. Personality was abismal, and he went missing, which seems to be the MO for servers in this town. The food was so so, but what's annoying is having establishments that appear to be very health conscious and having a specific niche but doing something like serving catch up with high fructose corn syrup. Just boggles the mind. I think I've had enough of eating out in this town and I guess I need to be thankful that I'm ending this type of relationship for the foreseeable future. I'll just keep my money at home.

W M

Awesome atmosphere, great food and amazing service.

Caroline M

Good food in a fun environment!

kyle smith

Not too bad. ok for price. sometimes when you go there everything is great but sometimes it's a little off. i would recommend going on weekends or Friday evening when everything is sold quickly and you get stuff that is fresh. i have been here several times and most have not been bad. the service is pretty quick usually too

Cheryl Pinkley

Food is good , waitress terrific!
