To improve the ratings, I suggest that the servers (girls) take some customer service training classes. Over all the food quality is very good and the cooks are fast. This could of easily been a 5 start rating if the servers were more friendly.

LOOOOVE this place! Interior is cozy, and even if there's a lot of people it's generally quiet. Food is fresh and hot!! The tacos are too die for, especially with carnitas. These are authentic tacos with corn tortillas, onion, and cilantro! Each taco is 1.50 each and comes with radishes, cucumber, and a pepper. If you're ordering, be considerate of the waitresses and use your best basic Spanish--they really appreciate it. For the reviewer below being upset about the waitress struggling with English: to discount this place because the staff speaks primarily Spanish is absolutely ignorant. It's authentic Hispanic food made by Hispanic people in the part of Nashville with a huge Hispanic population--of course they're going to speak Spanish! This place is amazing, the service and food are quick, and it has delicious food. Definitely worth a trip!!

Overcharged me twice , was a customer there for more than 6 months , unfriendly staff , they do not listen to your order, messed up my food more than 4 times . Not going back again . There are many choices better around And much cheaper .

The servers are amazing! The food is your typical mexican food. I am giving it a 3 because there's is a huge problem with the attitude of the cooks ( Who you can actually see and hear from the guest tables) everytime the client makes a special request to something in the menu the cooks let the servers have it!!! I mean yelling and using profanity that the clients can actually hear. The servers will even tell you not to make changes because the cooks get mad. I personally used to go there often because it was conveniently located close to my work place and stopped going due to this matter. I contacted the owner to express my concern as a loyal client and never got a response from him. Besides this issue, if you go there you'll get typical food, friendly servers, small portions of an unchangeable menu in a small (kind of moms and pops environment) so don't expect the chips and salsa/queso and fancy mexican food.

Pollo entero! A whole chicken with beans, rice, pica de gallo, and tortillas. My wife and I can both eat one meal and have chicken leftover, all for under $15. Great grilled flavor.

I dont understand why the good reviews. They were quick and friendly BUT the meat was nasty. Just very gross texture and nasty taste. Its open late, but even on a Friday night it was almost empty. Its also not the safest area. I wont go back.

I ate fried mojarra(Fish). And it was really tasty. It's a bit hard to go during lunch hours because it gets so packed. But its good economical food. And the waitresses were nice and attentive besides the fact that they were so busy.

I visit this place at least twice a week. The Pork Carnitas are my favorite. I Love the fact that they are authentic and served with radish, fried onions, and a pepper. I also like how they have the daily special which is also an authentic dish that you won't see at traditional Mexican restaurants. The only thing missing is Cerveza. Try it, you wont be disappointed!

The restaurant had an authentic feel to it, and they were quick with the food which was nice. It was difficult communicating with the server, however, and our water arrived after the food. I found a couple seeds in my guacamole, and my mom had pieces of chicken bone in her chicken quesadilla.

My boyfriend and I recently stopped in Nashville on a road trip and it was my turn to pick dinner— this was the best meal we’ve had in a long time!! This place is an authentic Mexican food hole-in-the-Wall. You have 7-8 choices of meats (pastor, lengua, barbacoa, asada, etc) on whatever food item you want. The tacos and quesadillas were EXCELLENT. Moreover, the salsas served with each plate are also delicious! Overall, a very affordable meal with a ton of flavor packed in. Highly recommended for a quick bite in Nashville!

Love this place! The menu is stripped down the bare essentials, but if you want cheap, awesome tacos, this is the place to eat. They also make fresh hot sauce everyday, so be sure to try it. Tacos are $1.50 apiece, and they regularly have daily specials. If they are offering pork chops, be sure to try them. They are perfectly seasoned and have a beautiful crust on them.

Authentic Mexican fare made fresh to order. Last time I saw tacos served like they have on the menu was in Acapulco, Mexico. The athmosphere is very basic - looks like a 1970's style diner, including the chairs and booths. The exterior is not much to attract those looking for fine-dining, either. But the flavors, service and prices more than makes up for the lack a elligence. The barbeque is especially recommended for those who enjoy a good zest.
