Food is great, a little pricey but well worth it. Tonight my burger came out well on the undone side, not only did they remake it, but they took it off our ticket. All I said was it was bleeding. They also took my son's meal off for it taking longer than the rest of the food, without us saying anything. Another words, very good service. Definitely satisfied

Well, I walk in. Sign says to wait to be seated. So I wait. It isn't busy. Many workers. They all look at me at some point. But busy with their personal conversations to acknowledge me or seat me So I just stand there waiting When I about go to leave I am finally addressed by the bar tender who says just sit anywhere.. Well I would have earlier but I was respecting the sign It would have been nice to be acknowledged instead of stared at and ignored. Thankfully they seem friendly afterwards but were more interested in talking to one customer the entire time it seemed. Food was really good. I had the patty melt and tater tots. I would recommend the food but the atmospherecould be better. I don't think it's wrong to not want to be ignored when I walk in and it isn't busy.

Great burger place! They've really picked up on the service! The staff is super friendly and we love a variety of their menu options. Definitely recommend the pimento cheese, tater tot appetizer (they have a deal on this sometimes), onion rings, and any of their burger options..everyone that we have tried has been great! Their prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is nice.

My daughter and I had lunch there our first time this past Friday and we loved it. The burgers were amazing, I had a specialty one and they are huge and more than you can eat. We also would recommend the fried pickles, yummy. The waiter was very friendly and kept our drinks refilled. We definitely recommend them and look forward to going back.

Service and people here are awesome, very customer oriented. Why sssooo cold? 54 degrees outside, only difference between inside restaurant, is no wind. Onion rings and happy hour is our favorite, last few visits, we grabbed couple drinks, then was ready to jump in warm car. Cold inside there.

Went to Southern Burger Co for the first time last night looking for a new place to play trivia. Thoroughly enjoyed our food, though there was a bit of a mix-up with the Happy Hour pricing for trivia which needs to be clarified, and our waitress was slow. She was very attentive initially, but became less so as the night went on. At the end we asked for our checks during the final round of trivia and she was checking everyone else out before us so the game ended and the trivia host packed up and left before our cards were run. Otherwise, my friend and I both ordered the sliders, which were amazing and very filling. I also ordered the sweet potato fries, which I've been craving and seem to be hard to find in Chattanooga (every restaurant in Atlanta seems to have them). I didn't get the magic dust but they're served with an incredible cinnamon honey butter that is to die for!! I ended up sharing the fries because the sliders and fries were tok much for me and everyone loved them! I also had the shake of the month for dessert, which was delicious. Definitely good food!

Gil has done a great deal to improve the food and establishment. Gil the manager has improved the quality of the food and the service with a new menu and a great improvement on the beer taps. One of the best places in Ooltewah for a great burger or meal, including having great vegetarian options such at the impossible burger as well as the portabella burger and many salad options. In conclusion you will have a great time enjoying good food and watching the game. One of the few spots in Ooltewah all of your needs will be met. Great management and always a great time! Your request will always be met with a cheerful front of the house staff and an amazing kitchen staff. Southern Burger is like a family and guest are treated like family.

We had a girl with FPIES ( extreme allergies that result in hives and air flow constriction). The entire crew did an amazing job at being patient and helpful in picking our meal. Even to the point of the manager coming to our table to inform us that we had ordered a not safe kid meal. Every time meal time comes it is extremely stressful, eating out is sometimes impossible. Today was amazing and stress free. Thank you to everyone that worked. I have never had such a relaxing meal with my beautiful niece.

OH MY BISON!! y'all! their bison burger was off the charts amazing!! perfectly juicy and so flavorful! they use a super creamy herb cheese spread and a 'tomato & onion' jam. thats right, tomato and onion jam! I ordered it on the side, but once i tried it, i lathered that baby up with it! so much flavor in every single bite of this burger! the onion ring adds perfect crunch and texture! such a perfect burger!

Would really like to give this establishment a 5 star rating because the burger we ordered was excellent. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. My boss and I were in Cleveland on business, she decided to take me out for lunch. The restaurant was not very busy and thought great we will be in and out and can get back to work. Not even close, after waiting several minutes to be seated (only two tables occupied) we taken to a table. We waited and waited nobody showed up, we sat for what seamed like 15 minutes watching a young man playing with his laser pen on the ceiling, he finally notice us staring and asked if we had been helped. Naturally, we were late getting back to work. My point is, if your going to operate a fast food establishment one must be cognoscente of the working clientele needing to have a quick turnaround.

Wished I could give 10 stars. We were welcomed and sat as soon as we got there even though they were busy. Our server was Will and he is AWESOME at his job. He made us feel like we were his only table. The manager (Jason I believe) came by to check on everything. Spoke with him for a minute. The burgers are SOOOOO GOOD! And the sweet potato fries are killer good too. This was our first visit here and I was beyond impressed. We will CERTAINLY be back.

We arrived at this burger place to find a very relaxed atmosphere with a focus on beers. we chose the impossible burger with onion rings and sweet potato fries. We really enjoyed them. The burgers needed more sauce, but were very tasty. The servers were very friendly and helpful.

The food is great, burgers are simple and delicious. However, it took us over 45 minutes after we ordered to get 2 burgers. Yes the place was full, but it’s not a big restaurant. When the food did come out, our order was not correct. We took it as is because we had been waiting so long at that point. Service was ok, no body had a sense of urgency about them. 3 stars because the food was good. Shame, we don’t plan on going back because of the slow service. If you’ve got all the time in the world, check it out.

This is hands down the best burger stop in the Chattanooga area. The quality of the food is outstanding with locally sourced high grade beef. The buffalo chicken is perfect with a portion enough to feed two easily. All the sides we have tried have been excellent

This is a delicious burger place. Just be prepared to take about 30 or more minutes waiting for your food once you have ordered. You can call in an order and save yourself the time if you are in a hurry.

I'd love to give this place a 5 star. But they are short two things, timeliness and warm food. After recommending this place to a friend and meeting them for lunch, I was embarrassed it took over an hour to get our food and it was cold when we did get it. I'd say it has good potential and the food isn't bad when it's warm and in served in a decent time frame.

We've been to this place 3 times, and every time we have been super happy with the food. The fried pickles were amazing, the chicken and burgers all had great flavor and were cooked to perfection. They always have a "burger of the month" on the specials menu which was an absolutely delicious flavor explosion when we tried it. It's always something fun. The atmosphere is a little loud at busy times, and the service is generally good. Definitely a favorite spot, we go out of our way to eat here when we get the chance!

I came into this place at 830 pm.. got my food about 8:55.. not so bad.. but I felt rushed to eat at 9:08 Nathaniel came back with the check.. and I look at it and moved the check.. he came back in 2 minutes and grabs the check and starts to walk offf.. wow I thought I did not even get a third of my meal ate before I felt as they pushing me out the door

The bison burger was absolutely delicious!! I rarely see bison on the menu anywhere in the area, so I figured I'd give it a shot and they sure delivered! The meat was flavorful and cooked to my request, the herbed cheese was heavenly, and the tomato/onion jam added a sweet depth that I didn't know a burger could have. The tater tots were nice as well and arrived in quite large portion. Service was great; prompt and friendly without being overbearing, and the price was reasonable and in line with similar burger restaurants in the area. Will definitely come back!

First time here, we will be back. The service was good, and the food was amazing. It was the best burger I have had in a while. I had the bison burger with sweet potato fries, and my husband had the jalapeno burger with tater tots. My daughter had a grilled cheese with French fries, and she ate her entire grilled cheese. Which is huge for her, even my husband said, "must be a really good grilled cheese." Definitely a place we will frequent!

Thought it would be great to sit on the patio and listen to the live music in the square, but we had a bad server. The food was very good, when it finally arrived. Unfortunately, people who arrived after we ordered and received our appetizer got their food about 30 minutes before we did (better server). Score is based on the food and atmosphere, not the server.

We used to frequent this place as well as highly recommend it to friends and family. We LOVE their impossible burger! It is delicious and the best around in our opinion. It used to be very affordable. ($9 for a burger and fries) The negative review is simply because the last time we went, they had increased their price to $13. We're just sad to see such a sudden/big jump in price.

We went on Father's Day for lunch. The place was packed. So that's a good sign, but I'm not sure this was normal. The wait time to be seated was good. Our server came right away. I didn't time it, but once we ordered, it seemed to be a long wait for our food. Kids plates looked good, though the fry oil was needing to be changed. Kids chicken tenders were real chicken pieces - husband said the best tenders he's ever had. The breading was crunchy. I enjoyed it too. Would have been incredible if the fry oil was right. I had a classic burger - it was perfect well cooked. The mayo was excessive (for me) and there was a weird purple spot on my hamburger bun. They were so busy I just pinched it off. I also found a green waxy spot (not herbs) on a french fry. I didn't bring these things to their attention to 'make right'. They were slammed and it wasn't a huge deal to me, but it seemed sloppy. My husband had the burger of the month - they literally don't have a name for it, but it had a pimento and cheese on it- it was crazy! They took about a cup (6-8 oz) of pimento and cheese and deep fried it then put it on the burger. It was bigger than the burger patty. Once bit into it oozed everywhere requiring a fork to eat the burger and eventually disintegrating the bun. Hubby liked the idea of it; but just not in practice. He said the deep fried pimento and cheese with some croustinis would make an amazing dish. The amount was just too much- like only one quarter the amount would have been perfect for the burger. Everything else was very good. We had good service except when she came by when our mouths were full and we couldn't say anything. I might have mentioned the mystery items on the plate if I hadn't just took a bite. I can see the potential in the restaurant. The fries were perfect. Kids sliders looked a fraction small, but maybe because my 8 year old is getting bigger? My husband and son said the tater tots were the best and perfect. I think it would usually be a 5 star rating, but our experience was not quite 5 star. But it was '2- 4 napkin'.

The burgers are fantastic. They make most of all the condiments in house and they are really good. the best is the baconaise! Their fried chicken is also fantastic and the "totchos' (tator-tot nacho bowl) is amazing! There is also a really good beer selection.

Southern Burger was delish! Menu had a nice selection to choose from with a turkey and vegetarian burger for those needing an alternative. Banana pudding milkshake was very tasty! They actually blend an old-fashioned banana pudding into the shake with vanilla wafers and all! Atmosphere was pretty cool with classic rock and 80's/90s tunes in the background. Wait staff was very welcoming and attentive-granted it was after the lunch crowd. I will definitely eat there again!

GREAT FOOD! Generous portions. Based on the recommendations from our server, I got the Mac n Cheese burger ($10). You get your choice of fries or tots, and can upgrade to sweet potato fries. I was completely unprepared for how big the burger would be! That’s a huge fried patty of Mac n cheese on top of a good size burger! The food was delicious (my local Hoff barbecue on the side). I ended up taking half of it home. It’s a bit noisy, but not in an obnoxious way. We were having a night out with friends, so it was great. Fun atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

They make a mean burger and customize well! Highly recommend trying their burger of the month—they are always a unique, flavorful combination. The only downside is the service can be slow at times. Their Cobb salad is so tasty and a huge portion. Check them out when you’re not in a rush!

My husband, son and I went for the first time today and had an awesome experience. I got the Hoff Burger and Sweet Potato fries and they were both delicious!! The Magic Dust on the sweet potato fries is awesome!! Staff was friendly, prices were great and the food was beyond delicious! We will definitely be back!!

It had been almost 2 years since I had been there when I ate there last weekend. Not sure if the ownership has changed or not but something was different. The service was mediocre and the beer menu has less offerings. Food was still pretty decent, however the experience was not what I was hoping to enjoy. This used to be one of my favorite places to grab a burger in the Chattanoooga area. It has definitely moved down on my favorites.

Under the original owner the food was a lot better. They used to have a Habanero Jam Burger that was awesome. They took it off the menu but still would make it if asked. Last time I went in you could no longer order it. The original owner also had a recipe for Blue Cheese Jalapeño sauce that was amazing. Wish they would bring that back as well.

I was excited to try SBC I had heard good things about the burgers. My daughter and I finally had the opportunity and we both ordered the mac&cheese burger and it was a good size however I found it to be very bland and the mac&cheese had clumps of what appeared to be cornmeal in it. All in all it was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the $30 for two burgers fries and iced teas. I don't forsee another visit it in the future.

First time there, stopped in for dinner. Server said menu had been revised a month ago and they scaled their specialty burgers back from 10 to 6. We tried the standard and patty melt with tots and sweet potato fries, along with a kid's chicken tender plate. Everything was delicious, especially the sweet potato fries. Staff was friendly and service was excellent.

So many burger options, but the Southern is always the best. Theirs always tastes fresh and is cooked the way we like it. If a server recommends a beer to go with a burger, trust them. I've never been led astray. My wife had the Impossible Burger tonight and it is now her favorite vegan burger in Chattanooga.
