REVIEWS OF Skull's Rainbow Room IN Tennessee

Burt Reynolds

Recently visited Nashville for two reasons: great music and the BOEUF EN CROÛTE from Skull's Rainbow Room in Printers Alley - Ribeye braised in red wine, shallots and mushroom, wrapped in Brie cheese and puff pastry.

Tiffany Robbins

This was a great way to start the new year! The prime rib was excellent. The drinks are the first time I've ever really understood the term "hand-crafted cocktails" because you could taste all the different ingredients and they all worked together really well. Planning to go back soon!

Cammy Wan

Great experience. Remember to make reservation in advance if you are planning on having dinner. Place gets super crowded really fast.

We loved it. Fantastic ambiance, music and food. First time I tried sword fish and it was good. This city is obsessed with brussel sprouts but it's prepared so well. We had the special (sword fish and shrimp) and boeuf en croute (beef in crust.) Yum.

fred bretz

Great place to eat , drink and listen to music

Matt Smith

Excellent food. We arrived without reservation and with children. They were welcoming. The food was great and the atmosphere great. Eat the rib of beef.

T B

WOW! Is the best word to describe my experience. Skulls is up Printer's Alley and a bit off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Easily accessible by foot. I went in on a Thursday evening and the place was packed. I would recommend getting a reservation which I did not have. Undeterred, I was able to find a seat at the bar. This location is so lovely. Dimly lit, live jazz music, and a super friendly staff. You must go!

Kaytee Wallace

This place is so charming. Fun burlesque show. However, it's pretty cramped and sometimes hard to get served at the bar. Bartenders are great, just so clustered that it's hard for them to sort through the crowd. But if you catch it when there's room to breathe, it's a great time!

Mikki Alvarez

Fabulously cool spot. A must if you in Nashville!

Katie Hansen

The food was good but nothing great. I was hoping for more. The burlesque show was also good but not fantastic. I was so excited to be able to make it the show & we ended up leaving an hour into it...

Rick Faggehti

This is a very cool place to chill and enjoy dinner and entertainment. It's not cheap, but the food was good-- not exceptional but good. The real selling point was the atmosphere. It's almost like stepping into an old movie with its dark loungey vibe and live entertainment above you on stage. It's definitely worth a visit.

Winna Medlin

It's a blast and a half! Skull's did not disappoint! It is a Nashville HAVE TO!!!

Erin McKeon

We had a great experience here. Went at 5 pm on a Friday and they were barely able to get us in, so definitely recommend making a reservation a few days ahead especially for the weekend. Everything was great - cocktails, meals, service, music. We ordered 2 specials - swordfish and New York strip and both plates were cleaned at the end. If you like an old fashioned, try the Southern Turf.

Kat White

One of the best kept secrets in Nashville. I got the privilege of experiencing Skull’s for my birthday. You can’t get in without a reservation. The atmosphere is very much a 1940s speakeasy. Their cocktails are fabulous. (Try the rainbow.) The menu isn’t too fussy, and everything is delicious. I had the lobster bisque and pork chop....YUM!!

Ronni Holloway

Service sucked, no water and got the wrong bill.

Nicole Duey

Stellar atmosphere. The speakeasy vibe is awesome. One of my Nashville favorites

Tommi

FANTASTIC! Love the atmosphere and the cocktails. THE place to go while in Nashville. Burlesque, great food and the best cocktails.

Jennifer Kulick

The food was amazing! It was pretty dark but once you got used to it the restaurant was really beautiful inside. We sat right next to the stage and our server shared some of the history of the place and it was so interesting. The food was super rich, absolutely amazing duck breast.

Adam Nicks

Great live jazz, relaxed atmosphere and the bartenders put on a good show too. I will definitely be coming back next time I am in Nashville!

Paul Dwyer

The food is excellent, service is very good. We didn't have reservations yet they were able to find us a table with a view of the band and excellent accustics. Great place to listen to jazz.

Christy Donovan

Everything about our evening at Skull’s was superb. The staff, the food, the service, atmosphere, live music and the burlesque show. Reserve a table and treat yourself to a memorable experience.

Paul Moeller

Went here with my wife while waited for a show to start at the Ryman. Great vibe, great jazz 3 piece, great food!

Lynnette Duenas

Creative takes on traditional drinks! Loves the Southern Turf and Darlin' Companion!

Vikachkapav

5 star restaurant. I thought it was a hole in wall bar/restaurant, but turned into a 5 star lol Loved it, great food and music, singers, beautiful. You have to try it out if you end up in Nashville Tennessee.

Jake Holliday

Words can not even begin to describe how amazing this place is. The food and the atmosphere is literally an experience that you can not get anywhere else in Nashville. Chef Ulrich specifically made sure that we had an amazing dinner and amazing doesn't even begin to do justice in how great the food was..THE PORK CHOP!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GAWD THE PORK CHOP!!!!!! We will ABSOLUTELY be coming back in the near future and have recommended this place to so many friends and family members.

WD Thompson

Somewhat unique intimate place with a warm vibe and knockout menu. Not a jeans and t-shirt place. Packed place and we were still able to slide into to a couple stools at the bar. This place was worth the gamble. But in this case the house won us over and we had a winning experience across the board. Will be going back and salivating about it!

ANDREA SINGER

1st time in Nashville, this place was recommended to me by a flight attendant. It was great! Very unique atmosphere, great food and wonderful entertainment. A little pricey but so worth it m

Scott Sonnenberg

Great food and service. A must in Nashville.

Eric Fine

Solid drinks in an atmospheric jazz club that's a great alternative to the honky tonk scene

Jazmin Mosqueda

The burlesque show was great! A good show to check out!

Ben Dulaney

Excellent environment and ambience. The cabaret show was so fun! Great talent throughout the night.

Michael John

Phenomenal meal. Incredible server and staff. It couldn't have been better. Thank you for making my Nashville experience fantastic.

Aaron Farmer

The atmosphere is very retro and elegant. The house band was excellent. We had the shrimp/eggplant appetizer and it was literally one of the best appetizers we have ever had. Our waitress was friendly and engaging. Really made for a nice evening. Our entree's were pretty good, but not as good as the appetizer. The prime rib was huge. I definitely recommend Skulls.

Steve Kelley

Dinner was much tastier than the look due to the low lighting atmosphere here. We shared multiple dishes and the best was the rack of lamb. Just delicious and trendy drinks. Only thing I wish that we did was make a reservation after 9 pm since it also has burlesque shows!

Mike Davitt

Cool joint. Great cocktails and bar service! Avoid the duck. Prepared well, but one-third of breast medallions too chewy to eat; leg inedible. Restaurant should change supplier.

Brad Royer

Good food with live music. Located off Printers Ally they have a nice bar area.

Elizabeth Kifer

Jazz night was amazing! Highly recommend calling for a reservation beforehand, it gets packed!

Rhonda Carr

Heard about this place from a co-worker. Went on a whim to check it out and was treated like royalty. Came for the drinks and ended up staying for the show. The staff exceed any place we have been. They all went above and beyond. We were lucky enough to meet the friendliest executive chief Gannon! The food, the service, and the over all experience was more than I can put into words. We will be back, and tell anyone and everyone about our new favorite spot!

Brad Beatty

MUST GO SPOT!!! Met my fiancee' here the first time I went. Besides that, when you walk in, it's like going back in time. The atmosphere is so cool. Always a great piano player ever time I've gone. The food and the burlesque show were spectacular. I've had the lamb and the prime rib and both are easiest best I've ever had.

Kiersten Aldridge

This was hands down our favorite find in Nashville. We stayed at one of the hotels in front of Printers Alley and wandered into Skull's on our second night - where we met one of the bartenders Akinde -- who was very chill! We always love a good bar -- but a good bartender and staff makes it extra special. We went back again during our stay because we loved it so much. Very cool decor, amazing drinks (we had the Southern Turf + The Skull), great live music and just a really cool atmosphere. It's a good spot to take a break from the typical, broadway, honky tonk live music scene and opt in for a little fancier, jazzy feel.

Eric Blomfelt

We came in based upon online reviews. Ordered appetizers and the prime rib. Apps were fine but we waited 45 mins for an end cap overdone piece. Sent it back. Replacement was still overdone. Manager came over, fixed it. Brought us a very gorgeous piece of prime rib. I’d come back because they care if you like your meal....props

Levi VanEaton

Must see in Nashville. Good service, food and cocktails. Band and show were also very entertaining.

Julia McDonald

Amazing staff! Ended up here on a busy Thursday night! Great jazz band was playing and was standing for a couple of minutes and the staff ended up giving us a table! Had the best cheese plate!

David E

What a hidden gem! Atmosphere is great, love the live music. The lamb and pork chop are both excellent. The chef came around and asked us how our food was, loved the attention! Would definitely go back.

Captain Busket TTV

What can I say? The food is the best I've had in Nashville as are the cocktails. You NEED reservations. There's a Burlesque show in the evening which was a pleasant surprise! If you want to avoid the $20 cover at the door, then make reservations and patronize the business like a proper citizen. You will not regret spending time in this establishment.

Janet Mcginnis

Best fried eggplant crawfish appetizer EVER! Great service/waitstaff ONLY downside small place, took long time to get table

Justin DelVecchio

A must see for sure. Great food, great atmosphere and top notch management. This place will not disappoint.

Tri Beverage

Skulls was recommended by our hotel (Omni) bartender. We were looking for an upscale place to have a drink, and Skulls did not disappoint. Our bartender (Ben) was VERY knowledgeable and well versed on fine bourbons. I would recommend Skulls to anyone looking for an amazing experience and even better cocktails! Well done Ben!!!

Danny K

Swanky cocktail spot amid the 'and bars'. Bigger than the date spot you're hoping for. Live music at reasonable levels. Great service on cocktails but slow process. Nothing special on service. Occasional drink is lit on fire, along with egos and bar tabs.

Matthew Drewes

I really like the food and atmosphere here. The cocktails we had were very good as well.

Cwold Cwold

Go for the Pork Chop!!! Un-freaking real!!! Very cool setting with the whole Jazz, speak easy theme. Friend had the scallops which he stated were fantastic as well.

Israel Fernandez III

My kind of joint...great live jazz music, good vibes and delicious food. Service was also attentive and wonderful. Stand up comedian not so much but I'm rooting for him!

The Yoga Chick

Cool vibe with awesome bartenders and live music. We didn’t get to taste the food but everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and the manager was very mindful about presentation before he would run the food to the tables. We went on a Saturday night so it was standing room only but the bartenders did a good job of managing to crowd. I would like to come back and visit if we are ever in town again.

James Payne III

This is the place you want to go to get away from the honkey tonks. Good food, good whisky and good bartenders. Skulls is the place to be for jazz music and a solid atmosphere. Brian who is a bar manager is excellent, providing fantastic whiskey recommendations alongside Levi. This great atmosphere provided by the staff and establishment exemplifies the perfect spot to get away from Broadway.(1st post because the hospitality at the bar is great!)

Angie Bernier

Excellent food and service.

Lu Shaughnessy

Skull's Rainbow Room is amazing! Being a serious Foodie critic, I can honestly say I've never tasted Lobster Bisque as delicious as this...it found me making noises that would only be heard coming from a brothel, it was so beautifully done...the flavor was perfection as well as the consistency. The escargot was excellently seasoned as well and our server Priscilla, was excellent & very personable. Sam, the manager was very friendly & attentive. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for an entree as we were running late for the Grand Ole Opry.

Rafael Oliveira

As a Brazilian would say, the risotto is for eat knewling(praying)!!! Best risotto I ever had..

Gil Eilam

Sat on the bar. Excellent mixologists, great food (go for the prime rib or the pork chop). The atmosphere is just as it should be - live music, great people...

Chris Hamilton

Great jazz club. The food blew us away. Ambiance was great as well. Took my gf here for her birthday and we were exceedingly pleased.

thebrav

Awesome venue for food and music. Perfect place to kickstart your evening or close out with a bang.

Brittany Burke

David, the manager was very friendly and got us reservations the night before. We went for our 1st wedding anniversary. It was my first choice because I had read they had the best prime rib in Nashville. Portions on all the food were big! We loved the cheese plate and fillet meatballs for appetizers. I had the prime rib which was SO tender. My sister had the pork chop and our guys both ordered the sword fish. Everyone was beyond happy with their meals. Our cocktails were also great & the bartender, Ben, was very friendly!

Traci Irvine

It was amazing food & we had awesome service! I'm thankful for the recommendation from a friend, this gem it something not to miss!

Michelle Farmar

The Pork Chop is the most amazing! You will love the place, if you can sit near the kitchen, it is over the top impressive on how hard they work!!

Debbie Schafer

Wonderful experience, with friendly staff. Food was excellent.

Alex Tuszynski

Fantastic food and drink. The live music was good, and wasn't overpowering, even though we were seated very close to the stage. Servers were attentive without being overbearing.

Bruce Wieser

Very good food, drinks, and a fun environment. Looking forward to coming here again!

Li Huang

The best prim rib we ever had!...trust me my wife is a very good cook who has super human sense of taste!!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice Asian waiter who did great job. The big main chef came to talk to us too. Overall it was a great Friday dinner to remember!

Jessica Wolters

Hands down best dinner and atmosphere ever. We had such a special evening, wait staff was amazing, food was delicious, we weren’t rushed, got to relax and enjoy our time there, and the band was awesome. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Chelsea Miller

Bar service was good and local live music. The steak is absolutely massive, but the ounces are not on the menu.

Tiffany R

Great atmosphere! Jonny Gowow & The Japanese Cowboys are definitely the best live music I encountered while in Nashville. Definitely try go to when there is a Burlesque show as well. So much fun!

Letreice Meadows

Love it live music good food

Kenan Oktan

Very unique place with unique experience. The food and the service was outstanding. Music and burlesque show was fun. I would definitely go again when I'm back next time in Nashville. Make sure you make reservations, although we didn't and was still able to get in and evet get a table.

Linda Leonhard

I'm giving Skulls 5 stars because it is great entertainment, very unique, and very good service. I'm very disappointed in one employee who treated us extremely badly as if we were poorly behaved 20 year olds. I was mortified when I left. We went back to tell the guy how he made us feel and he was just as heartless. A very poor representation. Other than that it was a nice show. Wish we left with a smile.

Raymond Featherston

Excellent environment and ambience. The cabaret show was so fun! Great talent throughout the night.

Bryant

If in Nashville.... Cool vibe. Good drinks. Good food. Cool location...Printer's Alley. Get there early as the place fills up quick.

Rachel Wetts

Great food, great service, and an awesome atmosphere with live music, comedy, and burlesque. A unique and very entertaining nightlife experience!

Brandon Klopfenstein

Best food in Nashville. Try the lobster bisque you will not be disappointed.

Nate Rock

Got a few cocktails here, live jazz/blues. The bar was packed and the food looked amazing (prime rib!) definitely on my list for my next trip to Nashville. 10+pm evidently they have a burlesque show.

Virginia Dare

Skulls is an absolute gem of downtown Nashville and especially, Printer's Alley. The decor is of the period in the Prohibition Era...there is even the old "peephole" on the back door! As cozy and cute as the restaurant is, it is the food that is spectacular. I have never had a bad meal. The chef is from the Gulf Coast and the Lobster Bisque shows that off. It is the BEST bisque I have ever had in my life (and I have eaten it on every coastline that America has). The steaks are beautiful and so tender, you can cut them with your fork. The chef rotates vegetable sides as to the season. They are always hot, fresh and excellent to taste. Service is always first rate. I love this restaurant and I recommend it highly! The only downside is that it does have the original tin ceiling so it can be quite loud. Come for the food, not for the conversation :) The bar staff is A+++ and they concoct some of the most delicious cocktails that Nashville has to offer. Try some of their specialties.

Matthew Boshers

LOVE THIS PLACE, best prime rib I've ever had. Decor is great, atmosphere is awesome, and service is outstanding.

Holly Jensen

Amazing! Great music, funny comedy and amazing dinner. My husband had the rack of lamb and said it was the best in his life! Staff were attentive. Great drinks too! We came on a Wednesday night about 945pm. Love everything about this place!

Tony Skinner

Felt it was very over priced, our waiter said nothing to us about the specials but we heard the couple next to us being given a lot more choice off of what was a small choice on the menu. Also very dark and tables close together, extremely cold air conditioning.

Ashley Vu

Amazon hidden gem! Even our uber driver didnt know about this place. Burlesque show, live music, and great food and attentive staff! My first time here on a date and I was in love with this place. Definitely will come again if I visit Nashville again.

Leah Fisher

Amazing atmosphere and food! Couldn't have had a better meal. Had the scallops and rack of lamb and both were divine.

Malcom Maxey

Took business clients there for dinner while in town for the week. FANTASTIC! Absolutely terrific. Food was phenomenal. Atmosphere was laid back, jazzy, upbeat, yet could easily be romantic with the right company. Pricey but without words amazing!

Lauren Keen Aumond

My fiance and I went here on Valentine's Day while we were on a trip in Nashville. It's a very dark restaurant with wood paneling on the walls. We could barely see! lol. There was a jazz band playing. We paid $95 per person, rather than wait until 10:00 for the burlesque show ($125 per person). The 3-course meals were both really good! I'd probably feel better about it if it wasn't $266 for the two of us once we walk out, but we knew what we were getting into when we made the reservation.

Catherine Aycock

We had so much fun here! The music was awesome as well as the vibe. Also, one of the BEST martinis I've ever had! I'm craving to go back for another

Elliot Ross

Nice adult hangout. Great smooth jaz, food and amazing service.

Meggan Haase

The food is amazing. Lamb, scallops, and daily fish specials are always great! Not a big fan of the prime rib.

Ricky Mendez Speaks

This place is great and Jamie on the piano made it next level so thanks!

Edward S

Waiter was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. Live jazz band was smooth and really set the mood for a great dinner. All the food came out quickly and tasted great. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Jenny Sprague

Great food. Impeccable service. Great atmosphere.

Anne Austin

Lovely venue - very classy. Be sure to book if you want to enjoy dinner here, it's very popular! Friendly staff

Jeremy Anderson

Awesome little hole in the wall! But in the spendy side but you get what you pay for.

Mark Barrett

Amazing gem hidden in the middle of Country land...food was above excellent and the service and live jazz was outstanding! Just driving through now have a big reason to return!

liv taylor

Had the most wonderful experience. I'm the pickiest eater and made a point to order the most bizarre foods I could. I got the escargot and it was so savory and delicious as well as the fish of the day (it was swordfish and it was incredible). Our drinks were strong and delicious. We ordered the pecan pie for dessert and while it was my first time trying pecan pie, I knew it was luxuriously delicious. I would order everything off the menu if I could. Our waiter, Derrick, was knowledgeable, attentive and steered us in the right direction so that we would have the best experience. The atmosphere was incredible and the live band was phenomenal. If you're thinking of going here, think no longer and just put the directions in your map already!!!

Anthony Fritch

Food great piano player on point

Robert Barker

Excellent!! Great food and top notch service. A wonderful dining experience!!

CMONE WINGO

Cool back alley little place. BUT, MAKE RESERVATIONS IF YOU CAN. THIS PLACE GETS CROWDED!

Lamb chops off the hook. Who needs mint jelly

Jessica Y

Crab cakes were flat and more like the consistency of a fish cake. The flavor was ok but the texture was too soft and lacked structure or body, it looked like a small, melted pancake. I got the lamb chops and they were good, but they chose to put these diced vegetables as a side which were over cooked and again, a terrible texture - why? No flavor, just a pointless addition to the meal. The cocktails were good, but I had to wait 25 minutes for my second cocktail. Overall, for a meal that was almost $200 total, I was expecting a LOT more in both the quality of the food and service, and this was underwhelming at best. I kind of feel like it was a waste and a disappointment. Would not recommend.

Carl Nerup

Proper bar in NashVegas. If you want to drink, be entertained, and hang with some locals - this is the place to go. Somehow they manage to strip the tourist feel out of this place and let you have a great time

Jim Maastricht

Ambiance, service, wonderful food, creative cocktails, and supper club music. Certainly not inexpensive but if you are interested in a good meal stop here. Had the prime rib. Epic.

John J

The main bartender here is super friendly and pours delicious cocktails.

Rick Hopper

Like walking into another place in time. Food was great, staff was on point. Don't forget to make reservations though lol

Lesa Marcolini

The streets of Nashville are crammed with wonderful restaurants and bars. But, tucked away...on Printer's Alley...is Skull's Rainbow Room! Do yourself a favor...find it and make reservations for dinner! The place is so iconic and special. It was frequented by legendary artists like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and Elvis. Today it features live jazz bands and late night burlesque shows. The menu offers signature cocktails and splendid entrees. We had prime rib and scallops. They melted in our mouths. This was one of my absolute favorite things to do while visiting Nashville.

Natalie Johnson

We enjoyed the tap beers we had. That's all we did. Staff was nice. Dont know much to tell you. Bartender shared some history info about the place. Pretty neat

April Dulin

Stopped in for drinks on NYE. Was still room at the small side bar. Great cocktails, one of the better Old Fashions in the area. Love the atmosphere. Looking forward to going back for dinner and a burlesque show.

Lauren Russell

I went for a burlesque show and thoroughly enjoyed myself! we showed up early and checked out the house band. they were great. during the burlesque show they played jazz covers of classic rock songs which was really neat. it's a $20 cover for the show, plus drinks are around $13 and you should tip the dancers. So its not a cheap night out. But you pay for quality in this case. Reserve a table in advance or you will be standing the entire time. No, there will not be room at the bar. It is worth it. One of the cooler things to do in downtown Nashville.

TMFD THE DUDE

My First review for Skull’s, fourth visit, it was 5Star the first time. Gets better with each visit. Last evening for Father’s Day, impeccable! Great Server, Great Food and ultimate atmosphere with Derrick Williams Quartet. Music Blew me away! My wife had the Swordfish and I had the Porterhouse; both exceptional. The Tuna Tartar was a Delicious starter. Great vino and rye bourbon; pleathera of choices on the drink menu. We have eaten at the Bar, observed and conversed wth the bar staff and the kitchen also, professional in all visits. My daughter has had unique cocktails, each with the best ingredients, enjoyed each and everyone of them.

Jay Olson

Unbelievable place awesome ambience!! Great jazz went on a monday

Chris

We came in for the bar and burlesque show. Didn't have any food, but from what I saw it looked good. The drinks were awesome, perhaps a little pricey but you should expect that for the kind of environment. The burlesque show was amazing! Highly recommended. It gets pretty crowded so get there early or expect to stand in the back and not be able to see much. Mainly giving 4 starts for the fact that they don't really have a way to accommodate guests who are there for the show.

David Hall

The food was great. And the atmosphere was awesome. Will definitely be returning soon.

Kim Garvey

Skull's is a must if you visit Nashville. They have outstanding craft cocktails and the bar food is practically decadent. The service is great, but bar is always crowded so anticipate a wait. Skull's has a great mellow-but-engaging vibe. Oh and yes, they have a fantastic burlesque show.

Retr0Domin0

Very welcoming and classy bar. It's beautiful too. We went on a week day and were very impressed with the bartenders, ambiance, and quality of drinks and food. It's a nice switch from the chaos of Broadway bars. Might be a bit pricey but definitely worth it to enjoy the bluesy retro atmosphere.

Yew4eya

This place was fantastic! The food was outstanding and the service was even better! We had the empanada appetizers, and they melted in your mouth. I had the pork chop which was about 3 inches thick and 14 oz of deliciousness.. I even enjoyed my wife's rack of lamb

rich walker

Fantastic place to eat. We stopped in without a reservation on a recent vacation trip to Nashville with our two teenage kids. The wait staff was very nice and found us a table even though we wouldn't have been disappointed if they hadn't as they were BOOKED! We had read the online reviews prior to our arrival and were excited that they could accommodate us. The staff was wonderful. The owner and chef stopped by our table although they were packed. The food was spectacular. Very lively place and highly recommend the visit.

David Smith

Good drinks, I was referred here by another bar, it was worth the trip as it is kinda hidden from the beaten path as you do have to go down an alley

Sherridon Joseph

Excellent atmosphere, great service, classic entertainment

Stephanie V

Come for the history, stay for the food. A popular stop on walking music tours of Nashville. Where you learn about the the man behind the name (the original "skull"). Apparently it also now known for the best prime rib in Nashville. Also with its tasteful burlesque show, its the perfect location for a bachelor party dinner. And a bonus is that its haunted!

Ashley Stenger

Great food and atmosphere! This place had excellent mixed drinks. Our group enjoyed everything we ordered from the prime rib, pork chop to the lamb.

Carlo Matos

Great food and entertainment.

Jake Cain

Totally an experience I'd have again. A little on the expensive side for my usual tastes, but they have Guinness on tap. I had the boeuf en croute, which was exceptionally executed, my fiancee had the rack of lamb, also phenomenal, and a few cocktails. The venue is very much a retro-dive atmosphere serving very good food.

Kevin Perry

When traveling my wife and I always look for the hidden gems around us to check out. We are very critical about the whole experience as we like great food, service and atmosphere. My wife is a very good cook so it takes a great experience for us rate something 5 stars. Skull’s is one of those places and you should check it out when in Nashville. We stumbled across it with no recommendation. Went in for a quick appetizer and drink, ended up cancelling other reservation and going back for dinner with live entertainment. The food, atmosphere, and service was great. The building is small with a small open Kitchen that puts out some serious dishes. Jordan was a wonderful waitress and the guys at the bar are very attentive, so don’t be afraid to eat at the bar, if that is only space, It’s first come seating. Also be sure to check out the places history.

Jeff Topp

Everything about this experience was above and beyond expectations. We were seated directly in front of the band (outstanding), and received fabulous service. The rack of lamb was perfect! Tiny bit pricey, but not enough to lose a star.

Veronica Sullivan

Absolutely excellent 5 star food and atmosphere and although pricier than most places it was still a great price for the quality and quantity of food. Cooked to perfection! The specialty drinks are amazing.

Linda Rucki

Excellent staff and absolutely great acoustic jazz .

Donna Coneley

The manager was so very rude. We walked out. Here from Houston. I’m so glad it happened. We ended up at Deacon’s. They’re amazing and dry age their own meat. The nicest staff and amazing food!!!! I’ll recommend Deacon’s

David Snowden

I love the atmosphere! It's literally like stepping back in time to a different era. The darkened windows and thick brick walls drown out the hustle and bustle of the city and instead of construction equipment, traffic and the non-stop sound of a jackhammer.......ssssshhhhh listen......what is that? It sounds angelic. Standing with the ambient light she has the appearance of an angel from a different world and her voice is just as heavenly......the prime is incredible, the mood is captivating but the memories made here are guaranteed to last a life time.....

Elizabeth Churchill

Fabulous! The atmosphere was so quietly cool and the food was delicious, complementary of the space, and not overpriced and stuffy. I must visit in Nashville.

amanda solomon

What a simply divine gem! The food alone is enough to make this place 5 star worthy, but add in the cool atmosphere and there are not enough stars to adequately describe how perfect this place is. Walking in you feel as if you’ve stepped into a classy speakeasy from the 40’s. The staff was very attentive (and not just our waiter), everyone from the doorman to the chef seemed genuinely happy to provide you top notch service. Now on to the food. We ordered the cheese tray and the charcuterie tray as appetizers and both were beautifully presented and tasty. In my husbands words in regards to the goat cheese, “Did I just put heaven in my mouth?” Clearly he liked it. For our main course we ordered the pork chop entree. The pork chop was roughly 2 1/2 inches thick and was cooked to moist perfection with a seared crust. It is so difficult to cook such a thick pork chop and still retain the moistness of the meat but they did so with ease. It was served over mashed potatoes and almond green beans, both of which were very tasty. If you are looking for food, fun, and cool ambiance this is your place!

Deena Phimvongsa

One of the best spots in Nashville. Delicious food and drinks. Love the punch served in the skull glass. Great cabaret show. We’ll go every time we visit Nashville.

stephen carlton

Dinner was amazing and the show was even better! Id go back at any time!

Jose Irizarry

Great place, great atmosphere, spectacular show and music, classic and modern style jazz and burlesque shows and additional to all that great food and cocktails

Ayana Bowleg

Great food, service and ambiance!

Maurice Barrett

Loved this place food atmosphere the best

You're not a local, but you'll feel like one of the cool kids when you take your party here. Way off Broadway and dripping with authenticity that Kenny Chisholm Rock's latest tourist trap lacks. After dinner get some boogie blues next door.

My go to spot!♡♡♡ Go visit Akinde and Kyle!!!! Best Bartenders at Skulls

JJ Gagne

Great venue. It has the feel of New Orleans Jazz Pub. Food and bevy are top notch. Service is great.

Brian Adams

Amazing bartenders, drinks and even better food! It's a must if you want to really enjoy a wonderful dinner off the main "tourist" area and see a place that's been around since the 1930's..

Sonia Powers

The lobster bisque...divine!!! Live jazz. Friendly crowd , attentive bartender

Rhonda Laverne

Great food! Awesome entertainment.

Lacie Adams

What a unique place. We celebrated our 10yr anniversary here and it was the perfect choice! The service was spot on and the food was amazing. We also loved the music and it was neat sitting so close to the stage.

John Reshoft

Had fun and enjoyed the venue! The band drew us in.

Shawna Bryce

Wonderful food and superior staff. The table service and details regarding menu and drinks was much appreciated and spot on!

Jaclyn Kwiatkowski

Super sweet spot, speakeasy vibe, cool atmosphere, and really nice employees.

Jen Bernard

Went on a Friday night. Place was crazy busy. Atmosphere is amazing. Fantastic band. Make sure you make a reservation if you want to eat. We stood at the bar and had drinks. FYI $20 cover charge to get in after 9pm.

Scallops were the best we've ever had. Prime rib was the least fatty we've ever experienced. All the food was excellent. Pricey but worth it when u can splurge. Bring a flashlight lol, it's pretty dark and it's tough to see the menu! Great staff and ambiance.

Amanda K

Amazing voodoo chicken strips and fried pickles. The voodoo sauce was the best sauce I had yet it Nashville.

Bree Howell

Amazing food. Make a reservation or you won’t get in. This place was a nice break from the crowds of dive bars. Enjoy any entree for a quality meal

GoKayak! Paddle with a Porpoise

A very cool old bar near broadway in Nashville. There is a lot of history here and the checkered stage is the original that Elvis performed on. They have live music almost every night. This is a classy place for dinner. Great place to bring a date. This place has great live jazz. There is a very interesting story about the original owner. Make sure you look into it. Very unique spot.

Jerry Kilgore

One of the best meals we ever had !

Kelly Moe

This is highly recomended we we're here later at night and only had drinks and (possibly quite a few) the atmosphere was superb and something a little different which was nice. From what I remember the show was upscale, not raunchy in any way. Very well informed bartenders highly skilled - good times in Nashville!

Steph M

Absolutely LOVE the burlesque shows and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Conrad Glasbergen

Amazing atmosphere and food. Quick, friendly and an overall positive experience for my first time there as well as first time in Nashville. Flavio, our waiter, was outstanding and went above and beyond. Highly recommended!

jeremiah cottrell

My favorite place to eat. Got there late, without a reservation. The owner found me a spot, and I got to destroy my favorite prime rib on the planet. You have to try this place. Been coming for years, and never once been disappointed. The burlesque show is classy and nostalgic. A must for if you have time.

Lori Kurth

I had swordfish and my husband had the ny strip special. The food was outstanding! Would definitely recommend!

Melanie Mead

Must see place in Nashville!! It was like going back in time to the old speak easy. Good burlesque show. Had a great time.
