Do NOT valet at this restaurant! Prior to the restaurant closing, the valet closes, and without warning they will hijack your car and charge you $30 to obtain your car the next day after 5 PM! Avoid this restaurant at all costs! It is a rip off. Go anywhere but here

I was in Nashville for a girls weekend and we stopped at Sambuca for a drink on the patio. The strawberry basil drink was probably the best drink that I had all weekend. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back in the future and look forward to trying their food!

Great experience. Food was good and super attentive and quick service. I tried different apps and all were good. My steak was pretty good. This is not a steak house so do not compare to a high end steak house. The decor was a cool, clean vibe and the live music added to the experience. I will definitely be back.

Live Jazz Rock band with absolutely yummy food! Smoked pork chop is definitely one of the best pork chops I have ever had. Shrimp and crab soup is delightful and garlic bread is very well done. Great dining experience! Highly recommended

I was here for my birthday visiting from OH. My sister picked this place. Fantastic. It was a Friday night and the band was amazing playing a variety of blues from Muddy Waters to Bobby Blue Bland. The appetizers, cocktails and entrees were all amazing flavor combinations. Our server Emerson was FABULOUS. He greeted us with a smile and a warm and welcoming energy from the start. He was very attentive and extremely helpful in his recommendations and answering our questions. He was upbeat and added pure joy to add to our evening. If you visit this great place, ask to be seated in his section, you won't regret it!

It was graduation day for a couple of universities so they were booked up. In light of the fact that all were reserved parties, they were incredibly under staffed. The service was very slow, the Bloody Mary bar was not maintained, the food was mediocre at best. Oh, and they ran out of one of the appetizers within 2 hours of opening. They were ill prepared for what they most certainly knew was going to be a busy day. I was embarrassed that I chose this place to celebrate our sons graduation and will not return.

The female at the counter entrance was rude! She talked on her phone for almost 5 minutes and didn't acknowledge me and my friend standing there. Until I spoke up and ask do we seat ourselves or keep waiting on you?! It seemed better 2 years ago when I went.

I bought tickets for the Mother's Day brunch today. Considering how much I spent, the service was some of the worst we've encountered. The hostess didn't even try to be helpful or polite, the manager didn't listen to what I was trying to say, and then to top it off the food was mediocre at best (no seasoning, overcooked chicken, not hot enough, etc). This was just a horribly disappointing experience; since it was our first, I feel confident in saying that Sambuca will not have another chance to prove itself.

Stopped at Sambuca while wandering the Gulch for Sunday brunch. The music was phenomenal! Easy to listen to, made you want to dance( and there was dancing). Relaxed , unhurried atmosphere. The best waiter, Jesse, I have experienced in recent times. He made great suggestions which enhanced my experience. Jesse suggested the berry cobbler for dessert and it was delicious. I didn’t have time to take of picture. It was not a ‘cookie cutter’ restaurant.

The restaurant setting for lunch was quite and comfortable. The food was reasonably priced and of good quality. You must try the crab dip. Our group was fairly large and our waiter was very accodating and courteous. The service was timely.

We did not have a reservation but were able to sit upstairs in the bar. The service was impeccable and the food was incredible! We are visiting for a long weekend and was the best meal of all 4 days! The music was amazing as well. Our party ordered the sea bass, salmon and filet & lobster and all three dishes were perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff was very attentive and on top of everything on a busy Saturday night! I would highly recommend Sambuca as a must eat restaurant while in town!!

Was in town for wife's surgery. Stopped here at Sambuca for dinner as we hit town. Wonderful casual/upscale environment, live entertainment a modified American cuisine. Steak and seafood are prominent on the menu. My steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The misses had the sea bass , it melted like butter in your mouth definitely fresh with no fishy flavor to linger. Dessert was worth coming here alone. Price is moderate to high excpect $100 for a couple with appetizer and dessert no drinks. We will go back next trip into town. I just wish they were closer.

Only go if you have all night. Dinner for my husband's birthday was just shy of two hours. So slow we left without the dessert we were looking forward to FOR HIS BIRTHDAY. I ordered a Moscow mule and received their version with ginger syrup. If you can't make it like it's supposed to be, then let me know and I'll order something else. Now, the scampi. Never have I had scampi made WITHOUT lemon and butter. Their version tastes spicy and blackened, similar to their red snapper etouffee. No hint of lemon, butter, or wine anywhere. Just tomatoes, cream, and way too much red pepper. Evidently their own version again. Thankfully the kind manager took it off of our bill. Service and music were fine, but I had to compensate with McDonald's on my way home

Great Happy Hour! Amazing price for craft cocktails and shared plates and we were still able to enjoy the live band for the start of their night. Happy hour ends at 7pm. We didn't have dinner, but saw other dishes pass by that looked great. We had the chicken and beef satay. Would love to come back for a meal. Nice environment for a date night. Loved our server!

This was the most AMAZING meal I think I've ever consumed. My husband and I went here on our honeymoon as our hotel recommended it. Let me tell you it did not let us down. Not only was every dish we tried delicious it was artistically plated as well. Kenneth was our server and he was super polite and very attentive to what we needed. He made an amazing experience even more spectacular. Anyone staying or even passing through Nashville should stop here. The staff, food, and atmosphere is just perfect. I give Sambuca 5 stars because it's one of my favorite establishments, period. I've eaten there several times, on a number of occasions and each time has been awesome, with a small exception. I was there with a friend last night. While there, we decided to just get some drinks and some apps. While sitting there, talking after we ate, we were kindly approached and asked to move to the bar area because the space we were sitting in was needed for a reservation. No matter how nice the manager's demeanor my friend and I considered the request to be rude. There were other places available for us to be seated initially and the hostess should've been aware of that large reservation and sat us somehwhere we wouldn't have been interrupted. I guess we didn't spend enough money ($30 minimum per person in the dining area). Out of all the restaurants we've been to in the Gulch I've never, ever had such an experience like this anywhere. Although an awesome place I will think twice before returning or recommending this establishment and I work in hospitality!

My wife and I made reservations here for dinner before the CMA concerts at Nissan Stadium. This is a fairly pricey restaurant and the first thing we realized is they don't validate the valet. All of the other restaurants at this price point either have free valet or validate valet/parking fees. The queso dip my wife got was very good but the chips were stale. When our main courses came the my roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were pretty good. The chicken was tender and juicy and the potatoes were hot and just like I like it. My wife's on the other hand she said was terrible. Her steak was over cooked, the potato tater tot things were not good and made her not feel well. The final course, dessert was really good. It was very rich and tasty. What really irritated us however is the $3 per person "live entertainment fee" that they charged. We had no idea we were being charged what basically is a cover charge for a band that we didn't even know would be there. This fee needs to be disclosed to their guests and if it's posted somewhere it's not obvious. We booked our reservation on Open Table and there was no mention of an entertainment fee. Definitely don't see us going back. The one bright side I will say is that our waiter was great, very attentive and very nice. He did a great job taking care of us.

A small oasis of 'Old Nashville' in the Gulch, Sambucca offers live music, good food and fine spirits. While the food will never be described as excellent, you'll be able to find plenty of hits for a crowd. The drinks are well made although those looking for a craft cocktail may be a bit disappointed. Yet the reason to go to Sambucca is that the staff is friendly the atmosphere is relaxed and the prices won't make your jaw drop compared to other bar and restaurants in the Gulch.

The captain for this place says sultry hot spot. It certainly was... hot. It's like the air was out inside the restaurant in July. Food however was good. The bar drinks seemed a bit pricey, but over all, everything else was good. Reccomend going after it gets dark, especially in summer.

We were extremely disappointed in this restaurant. All the food we ordered arrived cold, was not flavorful, and was very overpriced. The calamari in particular was not enjoyable. The cocktails were fine. I don’t usually leave reviews but we really felt we wasted time and money coming here. **follow up-we informed our server of our experience and the response was really personable and attentive. The manager even came out to follow-up. It seems like others have had a good experience here so maybe just a fluke.

Delicious food, wonderful (appropriate) live entertainment, excellent service, & great views! Difficult / challenging to navigate for an individual with mobility issues, and I'm still wondering how an individual in a wheelchair would even eat here at all... I remember seemingly endless doors and stairs and long distances to our seats, as much as I remember the pleasant music and good food- and we sat in the outdoor patio area. Not at all an accommodating floorplan / build out for some & that's a shame for an otherwise wonderful atmosphere at $60+ a plate-- & somewhere I would likely return regularly, but probably never again.

The food was delicious and quickly delivered. Celebrated out 6the Annivesary dinner there. AWESOME band onstage that evening. Definitely returning soon for date nights

While a bit pricey it has a great atmosphere and a good wine list. There is a fairly large bar area we were able to sit at with no wait. We had the bruschetta, charcuterie board, and the sopapilla cheesecake - all three were delicious with good portion sizes for shareables.
