This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Hamburger restaurant.
Took a client for lunch. Burger was so salty I couldn't eat. Dismantled to figure out where the salt was coming from, discovered meat was loaded with their house seasoning. Owner came buy asked how everything was, I explained how salty the burger was, he laughed and said "they must've gotten heavy handed with the seasoning " and walked off. That was it. Won't be back.
If your wanting feel at home of the grill burger this is it, nice section of local beer and good casual atmosphere.
Probably the best burger I’ve had in Nashville. A few of us from the office go for lunch a couple times a month. While I will admit, the service is a bit slow, the burger is worth it. Lots of customization options lets you build a different burger each visit. The atmosphere inside is more like a hometown bar. That really separates this place from most spots in this Brentwood area. I’ve also found it to be one of the more cost efficient lunch spots near my office. As long as you can take a full hour lunch break, I’d recommend you go!
This is now my 3rd visit and each time has been great. The onion rings are delicious and appear to be made in house. They are massive. Burgers are delicious and custom made to whatever you want in them. Got the double the first time I came and there was no way I was finishing that bad boy, it was HUGE. Lastly I'll comment that the music is spot on. Beers are good too :)
I don't normally leave reviews, but the people at Murff's took exceptional care of my mom who has an autoimmune disease that doesn't allow her to eat certain seasonings. When they explained all burgers come preseasoned, the chef offered to make her a fresh burger from new meat without seasoning. My mom rarely gets to eat out these days and for them to go to the extra effort to accommodate her was grade A customer service. Thank you!
Great atmosphere and food! Lots of craft brews on tap! I highly suggest sitting at the bar and watching televisions - Rusty is awesome! He has always taken good care of my husband and I when we go. They may only serve it during hockey season, but their catfish platter is amazing!
We have given this place a try several times over the years but will not be returning. First of all it smells horrible, like really bad. The floors are sticky and nasty. Then you sit and wait and then wait some more. Then when the wait staff does show up they hand you the beer list on a nasty sheet of paper with a hand written list. Invest in a nice looking menu please. Then they are almost always out of what you want on tap but if they have it the beer is not at the correct temperature - almost warm. Yuck! Food is ok, average at best. I really don’t get how this place is still open.
The burgers are excellent! On Saturdays they smoke ribs and chicken wings that taste wonderful! Normally easy to get into.
We went in to eat, open seating, sat down and waited for at least 10 minutes. The staff never came to our table even though eye contact was made several times. We ended up leaving and going to another establishment. Hoping it was an off day for them.
friendly kind staff...great food and so delicious...burgers are the best in Nashville ...
Very good food. Service not real speedy. Fun trivia night!
Nice local spot. Good "grill" food. Low key hangout.
One of those out if the way places that is a gem. Great food, service, and atmosphere.
burgers & beer... why do they go together so good? try the local peach beer..
Great local bar for beer and casual dining
Yumminess! Great customer service, clean and fun casual atmosphere. Our food was delicious and fresh. Turkey burger was good and the house chips are fantastic. Looking forward to trying their fish sandwich.
Excellent beer. I ordered the spicy catfish it was a special. Probably the best catfish I've had since moving to the Nashville area. The staff was also super friendly and on top of their game. I can't wait to come back and watch the Preds here!
Quick service. Large selection of beer & ale. Speciality is hamburgers. Burgers are large & cooked to order.
Good beer and burger, just be prepared for slow service. Servers were nice, just busy.
Good food, but, service was lacking. I work near Murff's and have eaten here plenty of times. I had to get up and go to the bar to get a refill after my waitress and the other waitress ignored me waving my empty cup at them and asking for a refill.
Everything is always sticky. Service is usually pretty slow, I think they only have 1 server who works all shifts always. But the burgers are awesome . Probably the best burger in Brentwood.
Murff's lived up to it's name, the beer was great and the burger was even better. We ended up here as we were passing through town and spending the night in Brentwood. It was close to the hotel and most of the reviews were pretty good. When you pull up to the place, you should get an idea of what you're in for. It's not Fleming's or J. Alexander's, it's a local burger joint, and it was everything I hoped for. Our server, Amy, made some excellent suggestions, the Blackstone Hopjack IPA was awesome. The burgers are all made to order with a plethora of options available. My burger was cooked to perfection and the house fries were tasty as well. It was a slow Saturday night, and our waitress, was very friendly and spent some quality time chatting and hanging out with us. We'll definitely remember this place in our family vacation memories, definitely better than stopping at some chain restaurant.
Burger and homemade onion rings were delicious! Music Bingo was so much fun!!
I tried their burger week special. It was soo good. Plenty of great burgers and sandwiches to choose from.
Atmosphere was nice, lots of good rotating local beers, the burgers are amazing with tons of options and omg battered fried bacon.
The burgers were awesome!! Cool place to go. Will definitely be back!!
Great hole in the wall. Type of place you brag about to your colleagues.
Epic burgers! Epic portions! Worth the drive from neighboring counties.
Great cook tasty beers cool staff
I ordered the Franklin French Dip which was supposed to be shaved Prime Rib on top of homemade French bread with Provolone Cheese and Au Jus Sauce. It was not shaved prime rib. It was hamburger meat. I would have sent it back but we had waited over thirty minutes and their air conditioner was out.
Great prices. Nice staff. Food pretty good but sliders missing special sauce so a bit lackluster on taste. If need a quick bite, perfect place.
Cozy, cheap, high quality food, friendly cooks.
We are here for lunch a couple of days ago and I've got to say, anything that says prime rib is a winner at this place. I had a Philly wrap and my girl had a French dip, both were awesome! The meat has that flavor you can only get from a genuine slow-roast, and it's soooo tender. And the best part was that both plates were only $9! The serving sizes weren't small, either.
Amazing Burger!
Food is good and our waitress was friendly. This place has a local joint feel. There are a couple of Golden Tee arcade games inside for entertainment. Parking is free here and you have to kind of make up your own parking is the space next to the formal lot when it gets full. This place has RC Cola for those of you wanting a nostalgic feel.
Good burgers at a good price. Choose between 1 and 4 patties(and they are big), pick bread, toppings, and sides. Eat and enjoy
This place is homey, the service is great. The bugger is great. Amy M is the best. A very good member of team. Your lucky.
Burger way overcooked. Chicken tenders were burnt. Fries soggy Stay away!
Food is always great, and service is as well (usually.) However, last night our server was young and apparently not very experienced. As a result our experience was not "as normal" and the primary reason for not being five stars.
Not repeatable. Slow service, forgotten items, excuses for the kitchen, cold fries, and the smelliest fried fish I've ever been served. Murph's salvages two stars because their house dark amber ale is decent and a good value.
Great local greasy spoon
Great burgers, great local brews on tap and good music. Need I say more???
Meh. Decent bar food, but overpriced
This place is amazing...the best burgers around, french dip is delicious, onion rings are the bomb, and the fish sandwich is soooo good!!! Brentwoods best kept secret for sure!!
A great place to relax at. Their burger was delicious. The waitresses were smoking hot so that made the visit that much better
Fantastic restaurant. Build your own burger was a phenomenal choice. Will definitely be back if I come through Nashville again!
Of all the lunch places I've been in the area, this is one of the few I would go back to.
A great place to relax at. Their burger was delicious. The waitresses were smoking hot so that made the visit that much better
We were drawn in by the photos of some amazing looking burgers online and were able to overlook a looooong wait and pretty filthy, soapless bathrooms... but the overcooked burger on soggy sourdough that came out was absolutely not worth it, even at the low price point. Can't speak for the drinks, though, so maybe that's what makes this bar stand out? The lone star was earned by the onion rings, which were really quite good.
Better food than our favorite restaurant in Philly. The manager spends all Saturday smoking wings, bbq, and chicken for his recipes. We came here twice on our Nashville break from Philadelphia because it was so good. The servers Sarah and Nikki are so friendly and know the perfect food to suggest. I ordered the nachos with freshly smoked chicken, and my husband ordered the hot chicken with house made potato chips. Everything was stellar. The manager, Brandon, came out and we told him their nachos and smoked chicken were better than our favorite restaurant’s nachos back in Philadelphia. He then brought us out some smoked wings and creamy gumbo to sample. One of the best and friendliest restaurants ever! Highly recommend. We will be returning every trip to Nashville!
I found this place because it was near our hotel. I'm definitely coming back and bringing my husband next time! The craft beers were awesome! The food was very very fresh! They don't even own a freezer. And so many choices on the menu!
Excellent food and service. This was my first time visiting, but it definitely won't be my last!
Great burgers! They have a build-your-own option which is nice. They're also very veteran friendly. As a service-member, I appreciated seeing every branch flag hanging on the wall. Kudos to you Murff's!
Great food selection and very tasty! Price is just right. The turkey burger and Old Hickory Porker sandwich are the best around. Fast, friendly service.
First time to Murff’s today and the burgers and homemade chips are absolutely delicious not to mention they’re fairly priced! I wish I could give them 10 stars. Great beef, none of that frozen patty BS, and a great selection of top shelf cheeses and a variety of different buns and toppings to choose from. Bring your appetite because these burgers are not for sissies. I plan on being a regular when I need to get my burger fix.
Excellent food. Very very tasty burgers. The beer was good too. Great little pub. Looks like they had a lot of regulars which is always a good sign.
Excellent food - tender meat and fresh bread for sandwiches. Loved the handmade chips. Great service!! Great price. Thank you! —— Indiana Crew
Truly the best burger in Brentwood. Easy to customize and delicious!
Great burgers and fries!
Hamburgers and fries good. Fried fish and onion rings very oily, couldn't eat
Murff's is an excellent place to stop for a bite to eat. Their menu is casual but covers a lot of bases. The waitstaff are friendly and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. The burgers are the best in town and don't miss the onion rings!
Great place to come with family! Also good for watching sports. A small resturaunt with great service and decent food! Haven’t tried the burgers yet and I heard they were good, definitely will come back to try sometime.
Good not great. Stick to the beef turkey was dry and not well prepared
Love Murff's. Great local spot for after work. All the folks here are great. It's our office "FRIENDS" BAR!
The regular menu is ok... deep fried and grilled. The beer selection is acceptable... I really wish I had gotten the soup....
Good service, large portions of food. A little smelly in the dining room. No toilet paper in women's restroom. Diet coke, but no regular coke on tap... RC
I’ve been coming here every since they opened. I love the atmosphere and it’s my favorite kind of restaurant to eat at. Lately the food has taken a serious down slide. The service has always been below par but now the food suffering. I was with a party of 6. We each got fries and everyone of had the same problem. They were over cooked! Please fix the timer on your deep fryer or just set it to start with. I already don’t come as much as used to but at this point I’m not sure when I’ll be back. Bad service and bad food is all it takes to keep me away.
Friendly staff, good brews, excellent burgers. Homemade chips are sinful.
Newly discovered Burger joint...Thanks to Burger Week!!!! *******MUST HAVE the Jalepeno Burger----->fresh baked jalapeno& cheddar bun, OMG ground steak yum, topped with buttermilk fried jalapeno...brillance, chipotle mayo, cheddar & Jack cheese, bacon( which I typically don't eat but did this time),bbq sauce,........I HOPE THEY ADD TO THEIR DAILY MENU********
Sooooooooofa king gooooood!!!!
Great burgers and nice craft beer selection.
This is a hidden gem! It looks like an unassuming neighborhood bar when you walk in, but the offerings are foodie friendly. Theres a French dip sandwich on the menu, good burgers, tasty house made-from-scratch chips, soups and onion rings. They have no freezer so the burgers are made from fresh ground beef. I highly recommend the Pops Favorite sandwich. It's the owner/bartender's father's creation.
Absolutely amazing great food great service Annie was our waitress and she was amazing she provided great service and was so friendly. Food was to die for
Great burgers. Monday songwriter night.
Our waitress brought us beers and menus at 7:45. When she came back we tried to order food and she said the kitchen had closed at 8. The fact that it was over 15 minutes from the time she dropped off menus and came back speaks to the service we experienced for drinks too. We had a bigger group, we won't be back
They don't have freezers...they grind their own fresh steak, chicken, pork and turkey daily to make the burgers... try one on French bread it's amazing! Also... they have these potato wedges I think you get like eight of them and they're covered with cheese and pulled pork that literally melts in your mouth... They are delicious!!! 12 beers on tap like half are IPA's
Very good hamburgers. This is your typical wide open seating bar style restaurant. A good place for family dining on a week night. Very good burgers. You won't be disappointed if you like good pub food.
Service was great. I had the hot chicken basket. The chicken was nicely cooked. The onion rings were crisp and not overly breaded. I was disappointed at the lack of on-tap brews the day I visited. Seems like they were perhaps waiting on a delivery as most spouts had no tap. There was also am overwhelming smell of cleaner. The chemical scent was rather unpleasant. Still, I had a good lunch at a reasonable price.
Great burgers and the owners are fabulous! A welcoming and comfortable hang out in the heart of Beantwood off Franklin Rd. I am not a Golden Tee 'player' but my husband goes there to play almost daily. One of the few places with it in the area.
Food quality is fresh and made to order. Slower service than expected. Price is appropriate.
I love this place! Great beer selection and INCREDIBLY GOOD burgers and homemade chips. The Redneck Calimari app is awesome too.
While the Club and honey mustard are on point. Don't let them know as it tends to go-to their heads and the cumin goes from undetectable to unbearable. Restaurant has 0 regard for food allergies, and blame the patron for not knowing.
Good taste and good price. Happy hour all day on Sundays.
Great place to eat and worth every penny. I live 6 hours away from Murffs and try to stop when going through Nashville TN
A real laid back place, no pretensions which is refreshing. However, the food wasn't very good. The onion rings were incredibly thick and were basically just soggy batter. Small selection of beer but there are a few locals in rotation which is nice. Perhaps I just had a one off, subpar experience.
Amazing burgers. Love the customization
Good food. Onion rings are
Great double burger with fries. They have Golden Tee Live and a Putt-Putt version - always a blast and helps pass time waiting on food. First timer and we will be back.
Best burgers money can buy. Highly recommended!
I was double charged on 6/27 and they have yet to resolve or call me.
Nice craft beer selection. I ordered, the French dip... Unfortunately didn't have much flavor, even with the au jus & they forgot to add the cheese so it was quite dry. The fries were cooked just right... Shoe string fries are my favorite. Staff has a small town friendly feel to it. Over all a good experience just will change my food order next time
Tasty! Great burger if you like them big and greasy. I went during lunch and service was a little slow, but they were very busy. You can choose your bun, and I chose sourdough. Wasn't a bun, was two pieces of sourdough bread. With the burger I made that had chili and grilled onions on it, the bread disintegrated as I ate. Would suggest a more traditional bun. Would definitely recommend if you like a good old fashioned burger.
Burgers are great especially on an onion roll. Onion rings are good but greasy. Service is friendly but very slow. Not the place to go if you are in a hurry.
Down home and awesome. Great beers and the burger was amazing. As a bonus the hand cut chips were fantastic too! I'm stuffed!
Happened upon this little hole-in-the-wall bar on a Monday evening, which happened to be a song writer performance night. Service was slow, but the poor waitress had a lot going on. She was really sweet. Got a basic cheese burger which was great! The fries were not that great. A girl performed a song and she was actually really good! I’d go back for the burgers, but that’s it.
Great place for burgers, beer and chips.
We came across Murff's on the internet looking for a place to grab lunch before we headed out of town to head back to NC. After another great trip to Nashville we assumed Murff's would be as wonderful as everything else we experienced. so far. Well, we were wrong. The establishment was not clean or organized, our server was not pleasant at all acted as if we were an inconvenience for being there, our fried mushroom appetizer came out and was so greasy we couldn't event eat them and our entrees (two chicken sandwiches) took over an hour to come out. There was no apology or acknowledgement of the situation from our server. After eating our sandwiches neither of us felt good, we both left with upset stomachs. What a shame to end our great Nashville getaway on such a low note. We definitely won't be back to Murff's on our next Nashville trip.
Murff's is the perfect local sports bar. Cheap, easy, and lots of variety. Service is great and the location is central (in Brentwood). Lots of TV's and entertainment. This place does exactly what it is meant to do, which is why it gets 5 stars.
The food was actually pretty good. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because of the atmosphere. The floors looked dirty, the first table we sat at wobbled so bad that we had to move, and the restaurant had an over all strange smell to it. It just felt grimy being in there. My husband and I stayed to eat only because it's a local dive.
Awesome find! Haven't had a bad thing on the menu yet. Good selection of beers on tap, local team support, and great service. First time in they made is feel like we had been coming for years. Needless to say we will be now!
Nice place. Great burgers! Very laid back and relaxing
Burger was overcooked and dry as all get out. Onion rings were doughy and undercooked. For a place that says they have”craft brews” there is no beer list and my waitress could only tell me the types of beers they had. Nothing specific. No soap in the bathroom. Sticky floors. A dive, but not in a good way. Will not be going back.
The burger was fantastic. A friend of mine said you have to get a burger here. So glad I listened. I had a double which was too much. It was a much bigger burger than I anticipated. Juicy and flavorful! Shoe string fries ate a plus. Bartender was great. I'd recommend Murffs to anyone that likes a good burger.
Just okay unfortunately. Service was great however the food wasn't very well prepared nor did it taste that great (due to poor preparation). Fried pickles were extremely greasy but had a decent flavor, highly recommend if you can get an order that isn't sitting in pools of grease. Chips that came with the burger were cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning for some odd reason but we're still the best thing I ate. Which brings me to the burger, the main reason for stopping by. For $8 you can't beat the price but that was the only thing great about it (and the soft bun). The burger was cooked way too long on one side resulting in a way overcooked burger overall. I also added onion to my burger and the cook had cut the onion so poorly that it was almost 2 inches or larger on one side and what was probably the "right" thickness on the other. Ending up just taking it off. The Mayo and pickles were just thrown on haphazardly so in the end it looked like the cook/s just didn't give a damn. Shame because the price can't be beat but since the food was cooked so poorly I can't say the quality/flavor was there. I'll probably give them another shot on a different day since I work in the area though.
By far the worst experience I’ve ever had here. Happy Father’s Day “started” with poor service and the worst it’s ever been. Thanked are falling apart, the bathroom sink is falling off the wall, tables aren’t getting cleared for new guests, and many times everyone disappeared and went to the back. Guests were refilling their own sodas, gathering their own napkins & silverware, and clearing old tables. I couldn’t order a second drink. We were told service was was bad due to 2 call outs... This is NOT the norm here. Burgers are usually awesome! Service is typically great! They did the best they could with the talent pool being what it is... We will probably return but will be hesitant due to the condition & quality...
We stopped through on a road trip, and wanted a quick late night snack! This place turned out to be amazing. The kitchen was closed but the owner still made us delicious burgers and fresh onion rings. So good and the owner is super friendly!
This place is a hidden gem. Seriously! Try their chicken wing appetizer, it's so good. Fries aren't as salty as you'd expect a brewery to have but easy for light sodium folks. Chicken tenders are also great; plus local beers on tap. Definitely check this place out if you want a humble place to grab a bite. Also, sit outside. The inside looks like it needs some love.
Great music round with Kathy Von. Thanks Ryan Bizarry. Great location. Plenty of free parking
