Food was actually pretty good! I enjoyed the Mac Daddy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was a manager I assume was the owner discussing how much of a problem he has with one of his employees and how much it costs him per month in labor. Foods great though.

If you'd like a place with sticky tables, broken AC, and the ability to watch the guy that cooked your burger pick at his spider bite while you eat, this is the place for you! Absolutely perfect. I stumbled in here on my lunch break. I ordered the southern comfort burger with baked beans and it was one of the best burgers I have had and the best baked beans. If you have the opportunity to eat here I highly recommend it. Reasonably priced with fast, friendly service!

Great customer service but hamburgers were cooked to death. We requested for a medium rare and it was cooked so well there were no juices left in it. Quite disappointing! The fried mushrooms were awesome! I had the onion rings and they were great. My husband had the fries and they were cold. Not much consistency with the food.

This is a Great little local place that has amazing burgers. The meat in the burger is real and it taste great. The owner came out a talked to me and asked if everything was up to my standards. I sat and ate but it seems like most people get it to go as there aren't many seats. The pizzas going out the door smelled awesome but I haven't tried their pizza yet. Also I noticed the owner has some of his drawings and paintings on the wall from the signature. These add a nice personal touch to let you know you're not just in another restaurant. You're in someone's establishment that was once a dream and is now a reality. Anyway...I like the place.

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and placed a to go order, they had it ready in 12 minutes which I felt was pretty good timing for just walking in off the street. Ordered the Makers Mark burger with sweet potato fries. Burger was excellent, cooked medium-well but the meat was still juicy and full of flavor. Bacon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was outstanding. Onion straws on the burger were crisp and not greasy. Definitely coming back again.

We liked Mac's when we first moved into town. After they went under new management service and quality took a significant decline. The food lacks any flavor and is thrown together. The value for what you are purchasing is not there anymore. Sad because we really wanted Mac's to be our local spot.

We came in at 7pm, almost an hour before close. The kitchen was clearly frustrated that we came in late, as we heard whoever it was yelling at our waiter for what we ordered because they wanted to get out of there. All 4 burgers (including my 3 year olds) were completely charred on the outside and super well done. Both my husband and I, on separate plates, had hairs on our trays. We told our waiter and he responded with a shrug “I’m sorry”. If all of that was on purpose to punish us for coming in an hour to close, we got the point- we won’t be back.

Spring Hill's #1 Burger / Red Meat / Dive Bar. Well, at least in my opinion. I've ate a lot of burgers at numerous restaurants both chain and privately owned and to date, Mac's reign has remained spotless. They french fries are amazing and don't forget their chicken wings, delicious and enough heat options to choose from. They also serve a great tasting pizza however I'm not a big fan, especially when they have the best burgers sitting in the kitchen. And the final thing I'll say about the burgers besides the several types you can choose from is their Vegetarian Black Bean Burger, think Fabio but instead of butter insert red meat. The service is so-so depending on the server, there's one I pray doesn't seat me. And the decor and atmosphere reminds me of an old dive bar I use to know. Boom.

I have been several times and i really enjoyed it. The food was great and the Service was also great. I found out they use Organic and non GMO real grass fed beef. I had their Mushroom Burger and Fries. I will be going back. For me its a little pricey because I am on a fixed income, but I go there just as a special treat for my self every once and a while.

Great service and very friendly staff with an atmosphere that’s comfortable and good for a family meal. I ordered takeout two burgers with fries and they were cooked perfectly but they lacked flavor of any kind. I ordered two bacon cheeseburgers and they were large and very filling but they could use some seasoning that would liven up the flavor. I’ll definitely go back again and try different things like the wings which looked really good

I was excited to find that Mac's was under new management, because I love a good burger and I love a good local spot. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like much has changed from the old Mac's. The service wasn't the best...in fact, I was a little jealous of the table next to us with 11 people who seemed to have some incredible service! The food was typical burger fare—burger, onion rings, fries, etc. CAUTION :: Mac's defaults to Medium Well burgers. I ordered mine Medium Rare, but it came out like a hockey puck. The fries were good though! We went the entire meal without a refill on our water—actually, we didn't see our server again until he brought the check. I'm not upset with Mac's, I hope they have some great success...I won't be back though.

We were really excited to try out this place but unfortunately the service is what ruined our experience. While our burgers were tasty, we had several issues throughout our time. We received our beers which we were told specifically by our server that they were $3.50 and when we got our check, they were $5. We mentioned this to her and luckily a manager was able to remedy this but she sure wasnt happy about it. In fact, after we mentioned that she was very short with us the rest of our time. Also, 10 mins after us waiting for her to return, we finally had to go up to the front to discuss the price issue and she apparently had forgotten about us and had been talking with a friend who came in. Further, we never got any refills on our water (which had no ice btw), never got any silverware until we stopped another server to ask (not our own), and were shorted on our beer pours. Very poor experience unfortunately.

Arrived around 5 or 6 on a Sunday night. Parking isn't an issue, went in and found the place mostly empty. No significant delay being sat, or placing/receiving my drink. No problems with service whatsoever. Their menu is impressive, something like 30 different types of burgers, and various other entrees/appetizers. I ordered the medium wings, and an order of fried mushrooms. The wings were decent, with a light coating of sauce; I don't like my wings to be dripping or dry, and these were pretty close to perfect; closer to the dry side, though. The spice felt right for a medium, pretty much your standard buffalo-type sauce. There's nothing more disappointing than sweet wing sauce, and this definitely wasn't sweet. The batter job on the mushrooms was beautiful, texture was great, but unfortunately the batter itself was extremely bland... very floury tasting. Luckily, the garlic ranch type dipping sauce was excellent, and did a good job of masking the off-taste. They do give you a huge portion, relative to the average portion at other establishments. Almost feels like it was an entire (8oz?) package of mushrooms. I'd definitely come here again, probably would order the wings again at some point, but after seeing their menu, I think I'd have to work on some of their burgers next. I think I'd pass on the fried mushrooms, though.

Mac's Burnt Burgers and uncooked fries. This was the 4th and last horrible experience here. There was only two people ahead of us and it took 40 mins to get our burnt burgers, as in super too tough to be edible, we were asked if it was ok without option for remake and after everything was said and done they only offered to comp one Burger. The management literally could not even make me another burger or comp my burger that I didn't eat, if you really want a good burger Culver's is right down the road

My son and I were craving wings and being new to the area we took a chance. THE BEST WINGS WE'VE HAD IN TENNESSEE PERIOD! This place is family owned and operated. The family rocks! My son and I came in 3 months later and literally upon walking in we were greeted with a "welcome back". We ordered our wings and beverages and when our wings came out we were given extra because Adam remembered I liked stupid hot stuff. Class act as far as a business goes! My son devours everything and continues to ask if we "can go to Mac's" when we are thinking of where to eat out. He and I will always keep Mac's on the top of our list! Come by and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

The service was great and the food was good but the "new owners" would not honor a coupon I bought for the local ROTC because they claimed they were not affiliated with "Mac's Grub Shack". If that is the case, then why did they keep reviews from when it was "Mac's Grub Shack"? This was the second swing at this supposedly great local joint. They had high chair with no clips which made it worse. The food piled up after the coupon by the manager ordeal. She asked my wife if she'd called up there about the coupon before coming because another customer had but was rude and acted as if my wife was lying when she said "No". If that were the case, why would we have even been there and asking to begin with? The food portions are extra extra large to go along with high prices for certain items like a club sandwich. We will not be returning and sad they are so profit driven.

This is a great little hole-in-the-wall. The wings were cooked to perfection and the two sauces that we tried were both tasty (only marred a little by not having quite as much sauce as I like, and not having carrots to go along with the celery on the side). The teriyaki burger was also good. I'm used to having lettuce and tomato on my burger, neither of which came out, but that was probably my bad for not reading the menu carefully enough. I did ask the server for lettuce which she gladly brought out. The sweet potato fries were plump and also cooked just right. Overall this was a pleasant experience and I'd go back and try other items on the menu.

Well we have been wanting to try this place for a while as the menu looked really exciting. Had high hopes for a good meal. We arrived at 6:54, party of 2 and we're sat immediately. Drinks were ordered 10 minutes later by the hostess. Sat for 35 minutes without our order ever being taken. The owner walked by several times without a word. Ended up getting up and leaving after waiting 40 minutes without a server stopping by and never got an apology or anything. Overall the place wasn't busy, just bad service. Left at 7:35.

I haven't been here since the previous owner, so I was sceptical. There have been a lot of changes to the place and in a good way. I'm only giving it 3 stars because I still feel like the burgers are bland. You can dress up a burger with all the sauces and toppings you'd like, but if the meat is still cooked to the point that it has a crunchy outside and a gray inside, then the burger is ruined. I was excited to see that the menu said burgers were cooked to medium well, but was disappointed to see and taste that it wasn't true.

Went last night. 1 other table in the place. Took 25-30 mins to get our food and when it came out was room temp at best. There was only one waitress and she was training someone. Probably left our food sitting in the window. When we first arrived, they acknowledged us but made us wait 10 minutes while they continued to train the new person on the computer. Stop your training, seat the customer! Been here two other times and the service no matter how busy or slow they are, always SLOW! last time to go here. Update- I contacted the manager and according to him per his security video the food took 14 mins to come out. Ok, good enough. Still doesn't explain why the food was room temp.

I got the Pub burger-there was so much cheese you couldn’t taste the burger and my husband got the brew burger-there is this sauce maybe a steak sauce and fried onions, I took 2 bites and couldn’t eat it, again so much sauce that you couldn’t taste the burgers! Used to love the food at grub shack and was so excited when it re opened. Instantly upon walking inside I was greeted by smiling servers, a fun atmosphere, and saw a bunch of smiling faces. They did some great renovations to the place and it is a nice place to go and just hangout. After our meal my server Alec introduced us to the new owners Beth and Monty, no wonder why this place looks so nice! You could tell they were great business owners.

Great place, locally / family owned and operated. The menu includes standard grill items but with a bit more creativity and flair. The gourmet burgers are great including old favourites and new twists! Pizzas are good with similar creativity. Bar includes a few draft beers, with a decent selection of bottled varieties. Does not have mixed drinks. We are quickly becoming regulars and appreciate the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The food was awful. Ordered a burger and fries and the burger was way over done, the burger seriously looked like a piece of charcoal. The bacon on the burger was so black. The sweet potato fries were also way over cooked and tasted terrible. Told the waitress about our disappointment in the food but I don't think she really cared. We paid for our meal and told her we would never come back. Very surprised the cook would serve food like this to customers.

Great new little burger joint in town. (They also have pizza & wings, we'll have to go back for that some other time.) I had heard about the "Maker's Mark" burger, so I tried it -- (BBQ sauce, onion straws, bacon and chz) -- and it was fantastic. Reasonably priced as well. The dining area is small, but it was not a problem for our family. It was apparent that the secret is getting out about this great new little spot, the place was pretty packed and a ton of to-go orders were going out as we dined as well. I can only expect this place will need to be thinking about expanding in the near future! Great to have another unique little spot to take the family in Spring Hill!

My wife had the makers mark and I had the bacon squared. Both burgers were flavorful and big. We also got 12 wings which were also very tasty in the makers mark sauce. I would definitely recommend this place for an after work drink and a good burger.

This place is not Mac's Grub Shack period. I had brew burger, no Sault and no flavor. The staff was friendly. We used to love the place and I might not go back.
