This is the 2nd time in a row same server...bad service..there was 1 table inside.. my friend & i choose to sit outside..big mistake..he never came.bck out..when ask to speak with a manager..he said he was the manager...then he explained the manager(Gm had left the building)leaving him in charge!!!! No refills I sucked on ice...friend couldn't eat due to she never received her dip like she eats with her meal . Awful...will never be back

I just ordered a carry out order of a beef chimichanga and shrimp chimichanga. It was the most tasteless and disgusting food I’ve ever had. My beef chimichanga was absolutely flavorless and unseasoned. It was so gross I threw it away. My brother had the shrimp and did the same thing. It was $28 for trash. And we are NOT picky eaters.

I haven't been in years and it's nice to see that they have changed things a little bit, but kept the charm it had. Now there's a stage so I'm assuming there's some kind of cool live performances that go down. Food is great. Same as I remember! Very nice servers and staff 10/10 do recommend!

Although once I got my food and it was delicious, I was totally disappointed with the service. I arrived ahead of my party and secured seating. There were only 2 other couples already seated and eating...no waiting. The waiter took our drink orders and went to retrieve them. By this time the rest of my party had arrived and we were ready to order. 2 more families had arrived. I informed our waiter that we were ready to order but he took the order of the other tables first. Once he finally took our order and we were served AFTER the patrons that arrived AFTER us plus part of our order was wrong. Then to make matters worse MY food was served well after everyone in my party and many of them had paid and left. Needless to say (but I will) I understand the previous management had currently departed and this was no longer LaTerreza, where I ALWAYS received excellent customer service. In the end I was not happy with this dining experience.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This place left me and my wife sick. My wife's stomach was hurting with her throwing up and I had diarrhea the same night after we ate here. Please do not ever eat at this place. If you have not gotten sick yet after eating here. You will.

Great food, great atmosphere. Karaoke in Espanol! The place was hopping when we arrived, so there was a bit of a wait, but not too bad. The food was delicious. My shrimp was prepared perfectly! The dj played a nice mix of Latin, country, and pop when singers were not up crooning. It was a fun night. Would definitely return!

The best Mexican food we've had in a long time. The flour tortillas are absolutely delicious! However, everyone should be aware when ordering. They will charge you for everything extra they can to make your bill be as much as possible. Example, when you order a drink you are charged $2 for each refill, if you order tortillas they will bring you the flour because they are over $5.00 vs. corn that are .95cents for 2. First time eating there our bill was $76.00 for 3 & dinners were $10 ea. Didn't get a itemized bill , when I looked online at their menu and saw the costs we realized we were charged for everything that usually is free at other restaurants. It's awesome food! But just be aware if you're not careful your bill will be outrageous!!

I have been going to this place for well over a decade. It has recently been given a remodel to include the menu. Wow! The menu is so expanded now, and it took me forever to decide what to get. They have a lot more vegetable and seafood options than ever before as well as some "standards." I cannot say what is the best because I have yet to explore the new offerings. The place is smoke free, clean, wide open (now) and the food is great. The service, in my opinion has degraded considerably from past years, but the quality of the food is why I will continue to go.

The food is great & the menu offers a good variety. Unfortunately we came on a night with live music. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a live music night & support our city's vast source of talent. The problem was with the sheer volume. It was SO LOUD! My husband & I were screaming to hear each other in conversation & almost gave up trying to talk to each other altogether. As soon as a table opened on the patio we moved.

Got a nacho supreme and I said beef not shredded chicken and it came with chicken covered with queso so i was like I didn't want it so take it off the bill and still had to pay for it at the end when most places would have took it off the bill! Nolensville Rd location is better.

First of all I don't typically post negative reviews but after reading other comments about La Terraza I feel compelled to share our experience. We have been there once before and didn't have a great experience but decided to give the place another try. Again, they were shorted staffed. We did have a table of 7 so we tried to be patient but we had to ask several times for water refills. One member in our party received their food after everyone else had already ate. Our waitress left and apparently didn't give our checks to anyone else. We waited an hour (no exaggeration) for our checks. After crappy service, subpar food, and a long wait for the checks, the so-called manager came to our table with a very unprofessional attitude. He insisted that we were lying about what we had, when clearly our plates were still in front of us and refusing to apologize for the poor service. No one wanted a free meal, all of us were plenty capable and willing to pay for our meal. When someone at our table stated that we would just appreciate an apology for our poor experience, the manager said, "that's not my problem" and asked us to leave. I really wish I was making this up but its the honest truth. Never again will they get our business.

My family and I came to eat. We stopped by the restroom and there wasnt any soap in the mens or womens restroom. I asked 2 employees how did they wash their hands if it was no soap and they just looked at me.... I asked do the employees have a different restroom and they said no we share with the customers.... so therefore... HOW DID YOU WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU STARTED YOUR SHIFT? or how did wash your hands after you cleaned off a dirty table.... #TOTALLY DISGUSTING!!!!!!!

This is not real Mexican food. The food is very very bland. And the staff doesn't know how to split tickets. My sister and I wanted to split the cost of the margarita pitcher, and the staff didn't know how to split it and add to our individual tickets. I had to use my card twice, for my food and then for my half of the pitcher.

Nice place, but it took the food too long to be served, the waitress was forgetting to bring drinks, and had to be reminded, and the taco salad I ordered was watery on the bottom. On top of that, they have no happy hour, they may need to reconsider that.

The food is great, however the karaoke was too loud. I couldn't hear my dinner guest talking to me, and we were sitting a distance away from the speakers. Our server was Veronica. She was friendly, but there was an obvious language barrier. She got my order wrong, even though I specifically pointed to what I wanted in the menu. I was charged $3.99 for queso when I ordered a small side for $1.79. I even pointed to the portion size I wanted, but I was still charged. Veronica only came to our table a total of three times, and we felt neglected. I went 10 minutes without water, and after asking for a refill, Veronica forgot to bring it. The check was given to my guest, and I was the one paying. The food was fantastic, however it did make my dinner guest and I sick afterward. I have had better dining experiences here in the past, but since the remodel, I feel as if customer service has gotten worse.

For years this was one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. I had not been to La Terrazas in at least 6 months and went with my daughters recently. They have remodeled by tearing out a wall and adding a stage for karaoke. While the changes do look good the service has suffered unfortunately. The nice waitresses that were once there are gone. We only had one male server that spent most of his time talking with the manager and making us wait for our drinks and food. The food has also suffered as my steak fajitas where dry and the portion sizes were much smaller. After speaking with the manager about these things he told me that these were just the new changes. While we went during the day I have not been to any karaoke nights. Hopefully the service is much better then.

BE WARNED. When it comes to deceptive practices, this place is the king of deception. It is absurd, unethical, and plain flat out deceptive not to tell the customer they're charging .90 cents extra charge to your take out food. Not to mentioned I had to go and pick my own food. So let's apply common sense here: You order your food from the comfort of your home. Then, they tell you the total price of the food but did not mentioned this hidding charge. They tell you your food be ready approximate 20 minutes for food to be ready and for pick up. You arrived to pick up your own food. The employee tells you without showing receipt the price for the food. As I was about to handle my cash, as a conscientious buyer I always check my order to check if everything is as ordered and so should you. Thats when i started to question the price. Note, that he's still has not showed me the receipt but just mere his word which I saw no intention of showing the receipt. He wanted me to pay first,then of course by that moment you already paid the charge he was hiding from you. You dispute the price before you pay, at this time he has no choice but to show you the receipt. Then you see there is an additional take out charge for .90 cents to take out your own food that you directly went and pick up your food your own self. I asked him why you did not mentioned this extra charge, his response: "I don't make the charges, is the restaurant" The question still remains, why it wasn't mentioned. By his response, he already knew they are charging this charge because he said, I dont make the charges, is the restaurant. So my dear community, it is my duty to inform you and Beware of this deceptive practice if ordering from this restaurant or from their chain of restaurants they own. If you multiply .90x100people per day that's $90.00 per day they're receiving and deceiving you from your money. Multiply 90x7days per week that's 630 per week of receiving and deceiving the public at large. I have written this review for all to be aware of this unfair dealing deceptive practice.

This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had a restaurant. The waiter was terrible, we waited ten minutes before he even took our drink order. Our entire table had empty drinks several times before we got a refill, and we had to ask for them. The waiter never came to check on us once. We had to flag him down, which most the time he ignored us and acted like he didn’t see us. The grilled chicken was very salty. One person in our group got shredded chicken nachos. It had no cheese on it, and the bottom was covered in a greasy oily yellow mixture. We talked to our waiter about it and he was very rude and argued that this was how it came. He finally took it back. When we asked for the manager, he didn’t seem to care about our concerns, and was even more rude than the waiter. He tried to tell us that the greasy mixture wasn’t there, and of course since the waiter had already taken the plate, we couldn’t prove it was. They finally brought a replace meal, which was grilled chicken and not shredded, and the manager was like “see, there no grease,” and walked off. When we asked for a to go box, the manager brought it and just threw it down on our table. The prices on our ticket were higher than the ones in the menu. When we talked with management, they acted like the didn’t understand us. We will never ever, ever eat at this place again.

Used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. Went in for lunch today and the waitress not only ignored me, she was rude. I ordered a bean burrito...pretty standard right? She told me they did not have those. However, she did end up bringing me one. When I received the bill, I was charged $7.95 for an a la carte bean burrito (beans and a tortilla). When I asked if this was correct, I was told by the server and the "manager" that this was indeed the price. Please note that this was not indicated anywhere on the menu. I will not be back and would definitely not recommend to ANYONE. Save your time and money!!!!

I really love this place, I've been a bunch of times because it is really close to where I live. I have also gotten take out and the service was just as good. It is your basic mexican food, not over the top amazing but still so so good and it hits the spot. I will say, I am a big fan of their salsa since that is something that is always different no matter where you go. Super satisfied.

Quick summary: No Friday drink specials, expensive drinks contain very little alcohol, horrible waitress. Friday we go for a quick bite to eat. There are no happy hour specials and the drinks are expensive. When they arrive it was tasty but had no alcohol. I pretty much paid 10 for a 12oz fruit juice. My friend ordered steak chimicanga and I ordered 2 steak tacos for 10 dollars. Quite expensive for steak,lettuce, cheese, and flour tortillas with no rice nor beans. I asked for a side of limes which I never received. The tacos were okay. My friend cut into her chimicanga. The steak was actually roast beef. She was like well I am hungry maybe it is good. She takes her first bite and crunches on something hard. It looks like a piece of wood. We call over our waitress and she says maybe it is seasoning. We explain seasoning is not hard. We display that you cannot even smush it with a knife. She takes the piece of whatever back to the kitchen. 7 minutes later she comes back and says that it was a piece of bell pepper. I have never seen a brown bell pepper. We asked where did it come from since nobody had a dish that should contain bell peppers. She replied maybe it just fell in. Random pieces of food that we didn't order is just falling in our food. Eeewww! So my friend just sends the entire plate back. I had already finished my food so we were expecting our checks. We waited for ten minutes. When she comes back she asked my friend if she wanted them to make another one. My friend looked bewildered and I asked for our checks. This is were she begins to get rude. I said that the checks were separate. My friend asks if she will be charged for the food she didn't eat. Patricia replied yeah yeah whatever. Then we have to wait an additional twenty minutes for the computer to work and produce our checks. She comes back and says see it is voided okay? And then snatches the checks and cards out of our hands. The table next to us noticed her rudeness and let out an audible wow. Needless to say we shall not return.

Went in at 2:30pm on a Wednesday. 4 men at bar and 1 table with 1 person. I sat outside, got my chips, beer and menu then .............NOTHING ! No one came back to take my order. After 30 minutes (and finishing my beer) I could stand it NO LONGER and went in to pay for my beer. I told them I had been waiting for my order to be taken and he said they were very busy (same 4 dudes at bar and the 1 person at the 1 table). He then tried to charge me tax on the 1 beer even though the menu clearly states "no tax in any alcoholic beverage". It took him 5 minutes to remove the tax. NOT A FAN !

Great place to go for lunch. Chips and salsa are good and my lunch special was done very well. I had a chicken, steak, shrimp rice dish. I forgot the name. I like the decor. Also our server was attentive, which can be tough to be during a lunch rush. I'll definitely be back.

Great Mexican food. They have a salsa bar that you can try all of the salsa's that they serve. They will sometimes have Pico, Jalapenos, and sauteed onions on the bar as well. They have gone through some changes lately and seem to have lost the 5 star rating they once had. I would still recommend it as one that needs to be tried out. Staff is friendly and it is fairly quick in and out.

I've been going here for a long time and recently I'm not sure if it's new management or what has changed but the service has been sub par lately. I made an order over the phone and it was incorrect when I arrived, being on a time limit I was not going to take it. The manager was right there and offered no apology. I hope they make some changes towards being back to a better establishment soon.

The food was adequate but not really what I would call great. I ordered the burrito with ground beef. The beef had no real taste and the side was some chopped lettuce with a tomato slice. It did have sour cream. The service and the ambience was very good. All in all, this was not what I would expect in a mexican restaurant.

Came in with my co-workers for lunch. We all had the same opinion of the food. I had Fajitas and the steak was a little tough. That wasn't as bad as the there wasn't much flavor. I've never had more bland fajitas. Also the pricing is high. Lunch fajitas were just south of $10. Most places are around $8. Overall not a horrible experience but I probably wouldn't go back. Too expensive for what you get.
