Our service was ok. The food was ok. Our server brought our 2 and 3 yr old juice in regular cups and the 3 yr old immediately spilled his. I asked if they had any plastic cups with lids and she replied that the juice came from the bar..........?? So I asked if we could possibly get cups with kids....?? We will return and try again.

This was a fun place to eat and get out of Rapid, we’d highly recommend it. It was like stepping back in time to a gold mining town restarting and that was cool! Staff was quick and friendly, and outdoor seating near the fire pit was very nice. Huge parking lot- don’t be thrown off if it looks full because the place is huge inside. 4 stars instead of 5 for food. Husband got the Loco Burger and he loved that, I got the Burbon Ribeye and was disappointed. Ribeye was quality of a $10 steak and I paid $22. I should have gotten a burger as I originally planned and would have been a lot happier. Overall we’d definitely visit again!

I came to The Gaslight today with my in-laws and my husband for his birthday. The combo appetizer we got was a pretty disappointing size for the price. 3 out of 4 meals we ordered were really good, but the real disappointment was the service. Only one of us got a refill on our drinks, though 3 of us needed them. The waitress offered to-go boxes but never returned with them. After waiting for 10 or 15 minutes my husband went to the bar and asked for some. I don't mind servers giving some space, but I don't enjoy having the table neglected either. The food rated at a 3.5 but the service was a zero.

A great place to eat, meet up with friends. The food is delicious the wait staff is very friendly and attentive, which is what the hospitality industry is about! Example, they remove your empty plates quickly.

This is a nice pet-friendly restaurant. The view from their porch is lovely. Its centrally located to a lot of outdoor recreation spots and its nice to know that we can stop there with the dogs for a beer on the porch or even a full meal while we're out-and-about. Clean place with a friendly staff and yummy food.

I had a fun time visiting from out of state. My local friends brought me here. Many excellent beers to be had. Staff is polite and friendly and professional. Next time I am in town I will be at The Gaslight again.

I loved the atmosphere at The Gaslight. It's got a clean, rustic look and was spacious. The food was good and reasonably priced. I got the Indian Taco. I'd never had one, but it had alot of flavor. I've posted a picture of it. The desert was good. We tried the pecan pie, blueberry pie, and the cheesecake. The pecan pie was by far my favorite.

I've always heard good things about the gaslight, but I was disappointed when I went there. Our food took forever and our burgers were tough from being overcooked. Service was good though...kept apologizing for how long our food was taking. I'll probably give the place another try someday.

I was there for a Birthday Party my boyfriend's family was having for his Grandma. We had wonderful service! I brought my little one with me and our server brought us a bag of coloring books and crayons and it had those little magnetic doodle pads. This was my first impression and I was impressed! Thanks for the great time!

The food was terrible! Every single order was screwed up! ( undercooked for some, charred on the medium rare, French fries grease was awful. We think the grill and the fryer were not cleaned or grease changed- made for an awful flavor! They ended up remaking everyone’s meal and it still was not great! To their effort, our entire meal was compensated. Felt sorry for the waitress! The sad thing is that the last time we ate here, our meal was amazing!

We were visiting with my sister and brother- in- law from Rapid City. We decided to go to The Gaslight for our anniversary. I had the Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes and a salad. The meal was good, but not great. The meal was a bit bland. Our waiter was fantastic! The facility was very nice and a great place to dine and chit chat.. We all had lots of fun! I would go back and try another entree next time. :)

Loved it! This was our first visit and it was absolutely perfect. Our waiter was so friendly and answered all our questions about the food and the restaurant. YEEHAW if you are going to MT.Rushmore, rapid City area, crazy horse ..... Stop in here the buffalo burger is amazing, the customer service is amazing, attentive . Tall cheap beers under 5$ for a frosted mugful. Super amazing place anytime I pass through I will happily spend my $ here. The decor and ambiance will have a resounding memory. I love this place.

I ordered pepperoni rolls but they we're more like pasteis. More cheese than pepperoni and they were friend, not rolls. My bison burger was overcooked and the wait service was mediocre. Dessert was a blueberry pie slice that tasted like blueberry sauce out of a Comstock can. I would make the effort to drive a little a try somewhere else next time. I was generous with three stars.

This our of the way spot really hit the spot. Great prices on a small beer selection served in a large frosty glass. The food was food too, nothing out of this world but really tasty for the price. We went on bluegrass night and just got to chill and listen to fun music.

The prime rib was excellent and the menu had a great selection. We were in the area on vacation visiting the Black Hills and ate at several other places, this was our favorite. It seemed like a lot of locals ate there so that was also a good sign it was a good place. The service was also excellent.

It was busy when we came in, dinner rush. For seated right away. Waited about 10 minutes and no one came to ok our table, had to ask hostess for a server. Finally after ordering our drinks and meal at the same time our salad came out 20 minutes later. Then we sat around another hour for our meal and never got asked once for more drinks. We weren't the only table waiting extremely long either. Then the food came and left a lot to be desired. If your on vacation in the area don't go here. It was awful service and not great food. Sorry Gaslight but your service isn't shining bright at all.

Slow service due to "busy night" complaint. Nice evening so we wanted to eat on the front porch. Asked to have the table wiped off but that didn't happen. No refills on water. In order to pay our bill we entered to restaurant to find our server. Food was delicious an hour and a half after we arrived. *Best bet is to dine indoors and enjoy beverages outdoors.
