Teri Skogerboe

My french omelet was overcooked and not at all light and fluffy. Though the ingredients are very fresh. Hash browns very good. Pleasant place in the heart of downtown.

Anita Diaz

Great service, server was very attentive. Food was tasty. Menu had a good choice of selections. Atmosphere was clean and cozy

J V

I am from Texas and was there for work purposes and was staying at the hotel across the street. My co-worker lives there and told me about this place. Best damn pancakes hands down!!!

Weston Beal

It was very busy on a Saturday night so somebody must like it. It took a long time to get our food. The food was good but somewhat plain. We found it too expensive for what we got.

Vy Nguyen

i tried banh mi today and it was good, reminded me of my home town a lot. staffs were friendly and i didnt have to wait too long to get my food

Bryan Sullivan

Betsy

Special breakfast for $5 was delicious and filling.

Lisa Kohl

Had the BLT breakfast sandwich and its was delicious! Every component was perfectly executed, from the over medium egg to the grilled sourdough, and the balsamic drizzle and arugula cut the richness well.

Leslie Myrtle

We had some of the worst service we have ever had here. We were seated quickly, but it was over thirty minutes before someone even took our drink order, and we were sitting right next to the kitchen! It was another thirty minutes before we got our food. The server never even apologized for making us wait. The food was pretty mediocre and certainly not worth the price (and whatever you do, don’t order the watermelon sorbet...7 for 7 in thumbs down).

Nicole Duey

Absolutely amazing food, nice servers. Great atmosphere. We had to wait about a half hour but it was well worth the wait

Robert Peeples

The food and service was exceptional.

Tricia Weathers

The food was amazing, the pork and been Pinot pairing truly was perfect. I felt like I was in a Gordan Ramsay restaurant and I have eaten at two of his places. The pork lardons(bacon) was perfectly cooked the pork shanks crunchy and tender the peach slaw perfect accompaniment. I highly recommend. Gluten free options too! Celiac friendly.

J R Lazar

Delicious breakfast. Buffalo and eggs were superb.

Diana Serviss

Great coffee, veggie breakfast was good a little pricey and loud on a busy Sunday

Nina Beach

Live music, great food!

Christy Coppenger

This place is amazing!!! Great food and excellent service by Sherry!!! Here from Oklahoma!!

Drew Beaton

Constantly great food with every visit. I highly recommend eating here.

Stuart Nelson

The food is fantastic and portions are generous. My daughter has Celiac and our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. There are several items on the menu that are or can be gluten free. We try to stop every time we're in Rapid City.

Ashley Johnson

Amazing food and great atmosphere

Colter Burleson

The best place to dine in Rapid City. We regularly eat here and have never had a mediocre meal let alone a bad one. Recently we have beeen getting the "Indecisive Menu" which are courses chosen by the chef. Absolutely delicious! Top notch food.

Nguyen Xuan Vy

is always so lively here and food are excellent

Tom Lawrence

Good balance of fancy and everyday diner food except it has that little extra. My wife and I went on our first date here so it will always have a special place in my heart.

Melissa Young

The atmosphere was blah. Needs to be livened up. The food was blah. Had the buffalo burger wasn't impressed. Rather go to Keystone or Custer for a real burger. Service wasn't up to par they weren't very attentive. I dont understand how this place gets so much raves. All around blah. Not impressed.

Beth Higgins

Great service. Amazing food.

june towne

Great food, service (getting our food) was way too slow.

Jennifer Jones Carmichael

Favorite restaurant to eat at while visiting Rapid City. Great happy hour on wine & beer. Try the Donald & Porky!

Sean Moraffah

This is a gluten-free breakfast review. Tally's does not lack gluten-free breakfast or lunch options. They can make pancakes, French toast, and even waffles (although they use a shared waffle maker). I'm not sure if the water is normally like this, but it has a terrible after-taste. I can't put my finger on it, but it's kind of like chlorine. However, the orange juice has light pulp and tastes fresh. I ordered the two-egg breakfast with gluten-free toast, extra crispy bacon, and a single GF pancake. The egg platter was delicious but the pancake was okay. It had a little too much of kind of spice, maybe nutmeg? I wouldn't order it again, but I would like to try their French toast. I wish I knew about this place sooner. I'll be back.

Jennifer V-C

Poor service and food was unremarkable, not worth the price.

Paulo Brás

A great place to go and eat a delicate and well made meal. Don't shy away from the hamburgers

Shannon Greany

Everything was incredibly delicious, and both the host and server were wonderful. We truly enjoyed it!

Saber Uddin

Their buffalo burger is probably the best i ever had. Their service was nothing short of excellent. They also had live music. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Marshall Spezman

Great deli will a contemporary flair.

Lynn Priddy

The duck was exquisite; the curried mussels and foie gras always divine. We love going here at least once a month for dinner and for breakfast.

Shawn Nason

Tell ya something folks-Honestly we are Joel Gulpit groupies and went to listen to him play-burgers out this world!!!The Wine was great &Service was phenomenal!! They need more room but if willing to eat outside another option- I was IMPRESSED!!! Great Job Tally's Silver Spoon!!!

T F Sakolsky

Gluten free blueberry pancakes were delicious! Drew our waiter was very very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth another visit before we leave this town.

Jodi Knutson

It was our anniversary and after leaving another restaurant due to poor service, I was upset because I wanted a nice anniversary meal. Knowing you need to make a reservation we took a chance on a table. They had one outside so we took it even though we don't like sitting outside. Our experience and my mood changed due to the server Lee. It recommended beer and wine for us and we both loved his choice. My husband had a bison burger and he as said it was the best he had. So thank you to Lee who turned our evening into what I wanted.

Izeeko Beats

this place is just extremely delicious! I went there for breakfast and I got an amazing Skillet. I highly recommend that skillet. I kind of can't remember what it was called though.

Drew Purdy

Always wonderful! Worth the wait. Nit the usual breakfast fare unless that is what you want. They have it all. Duck, duck, goose is my favorite with pinot noir for breakfast!

Dan Munzner

Great service, fantastic atmosphere, and phenomenal food. A pleasure from start to finish.

Laura Rogers

Wonderful French toast! And the syrup was amazing! The bacon was very good also! Good portion sizes with a little extra. The pancakes were BIG! And the coffee was good.

Tina Morris

We actually never got to eat here. They have a system where they will call you once you’re ready so you don’t have to sit and wait. The hostess told us half an hour and she told us there was no way it would go over that. It ended up taking them an hour and 15 minutes. We understand the wait was not her fault, but we never got to eat because we had other obligations that we had and thought we were able to eat before with that wait time.

Genevieve Kennedy

Daniel was my server. I went in search of wine and dessert and was so in awe of the Scallops dish that I saw beside our table I had to try it out, even after I took full advantage of the dessert and red wine menu. The food was perfect, complex and fun with elements of americana that everyone can enjoy, but my service from Daniel was amazing. I sat their for a while, even by myself, but he gave me the best wine reccomendatioms, and was patient with me, and made me feel welcome and at home. Anyone who enjoys food and wine should try Tally's. The wine, food, and service SERIOUSLY made my night so fun, and so enjoyable. Thank you so much.

Nate CR

Spent a weekend in the Black Hills and went to Tally's for breakfast and dinner. The food is beyond excellent and the two servers that we had were both very kind and helpful. Arin was server and she was very helpful. -I had an issue with a bartender, but management reached out to me and it was all settled.

Michael Manning

This is a high class small diner with great food options and staff that is very focussed on customer service. Some options are high end, but you can still eat here for under 10$ a person and walk away satisfied.

Dalton Baker

Great food. Always busy as heck.

Sherry Scudder

Very good, haven't been there in a while. I will return.

Catalin Baicu

Long waiting, not the best customer service and package was not fully coocked. Beyond disappointed.

Roland Galla

Food was outstanding. I'm not normally a breakfast guy but the cinnamon swirl french toast was the best I've ever had.

Shelli Grinager

Mushroom du jour....my favorite!

Doug Crane

Awesome place to stop by for a bite. The breakfast is amazing!

JJ Dusing

Best breakfast in Rapid City. If there's a wait, give them your cell number and head across the street for a Starbucks or down to the Main Street Square and get a coffee from Alternative Fuel Coffeehouse. I highly recommend the daily specials or anything with syrup, they have the best syrup at Tally's!

Nate Waite

We enjoyed dinner on the patio. The food was super delicious, and not your every day dishes either. The waiter was patient and helped us choose a meal that we truly enjoyed. Great place!!

Lou Ann Heath

Popular place with a packed bar even early (before 6 pm) we were able to be sqeezed in for a quick bite. Buffalo burgers were delicious, service ok.

Ron Welch

Food was great, service was good. The price was right.

Jason Dvorak

Great food. Very classy. Excellent wait staff.

Andrew Blevins

I have one thing to say about this place: Best breakfast in town! Great service, amazing food, and what better way to start your weekend than to have a Mimosa here? Try their omelette special sometime (it's always changing) or go with my personal favorite, Eggs Benedict.

Archive99

I can honestly say I've been coming here for years and I've gotten excellent service every time. The staff is amazing. The food is always great. Hot fresh and well prepared. If you haven't gone here before it is certainly a place to stop in. The money you pay for the food is always worth it. If possible go during Brunch hours. They have a wider menu selection than during dinner hours.

Matthew Pugh

I've been going to Tally's for breakfast for a while now, and have never been disappointed. No matter what I get, it is always great. (Though I would reccomend getting something that comes with a slice of ham, as it is massive and delicious.) They have supprisingly good coffee for a restaurant. The service has always been excellent. It is a little pricey, but it is clear why.

Alan Newcomb

Great place for breakfast. Service is excellent and the food is very reasonably priced.

Danielle Frazier

Amazing fresh food served with a warm smile and incredible service!

Barbara Garcia

Excellent food, as usual, and staff was very friendly and efficient.

Sheri Christensen

Excellent food, don't ever be in a hurry

Eric Gor

The wait can be really long but there is Reason so many people want to eat here. It's really good! It's a staple in rapid City and a must if you live here or even just visiting. You can't just go for breakfast either, because for dinner they turn it into a really upscale restaurant. Worth the wait and the cost. You won't regret it

Dwight Murray

Very popular local restaurant. We had great breakfasts five mornings in a row. Great service, food fixed fresh and fast.

Missy Tener

Excellent food and service, worth the wait!

Neil Magnuson

This is not a greasy spoon kind of cafe. It is very uptown, very clean, and healthy! Gluten free options are here and they taste great!Good sized options, fresh food made to order, and made into beautiful plates. Definitely recommend but also know its going to cost you. Don't expect to get out under $12+ dollars a person. That being said, veru good upscale dinner.

Maureen Quant

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was superior

Linc Anderson

Great food, service and price

Annette Utecht

Great food. Celiac friendly. Husband has never had a problem.

David Morse

Best chicken fried steak in Rapid. Friendly service and decent prices.

Judith Allen

Lively comfortable with good service and menu options.

Kara Azevedo

Always a pleasant dining experience at Tally's. One of my favorite places to eat. Love the variety of dishes, and the quality of everything is always outstanding. Excellent coffee! Blueberry pancakes are a must-have. Servers are wonderful, professional, and always friendly. I'm vegetarian, and they've always accommodated me, and even made suggestions for changes they could make. That deserves five stars right there.

Peggy Martin

Great food. The Chef's do a great job. I love the fact they buy local produce

Dominic Scoccola

Really gr8 food...environment...hosts friendly.High recommend ...give it a try.

Mack M

Was up early and went in for breakfast. Had a great omelette. Staff was nice and informative. What made me really happy was the marbled rie toast. This joint is a great place to go. I have yet to do dinner there, would be great for a date night.

bill Henry

Far exceeded my expectations! Over a long holiday weekend we ate breakfast there three times! Trendy but not at all pretentious, I loved the vibe and the food!

Jared Schiferl

Forgot to put in my order, everyone else in our party of 4 got their food and I was then told that the waitress "forgot to push the buttons" for my order and they are making it now. When my order (omelette of the day) came out with hashbrowns, everything felt as if it was sitting on a table in the back for 10 minutes. It was room temperature. If it was made after everyone else got their orders shouldn't it have been hot? Person #2 of our group had burnt toast. Person #3 had burnt English muffins. The waitress never came by to ask how the food was. Over 60 dollars in food and they got 1 plate right. Very disappointed.

Tom B

Awesome breakfast. White and I had two eggs, hash browns, sausage patty, two strips of bacon and toast/Bagel. Daughter had the cinnamon French toast. Everything was excellent, but the cinnamon French toast was the best French toast either my wife or I ever had. Tally's is on a corner, so people watching was great. I highly recommend Tally's!

Jon S

Stop here every year on way to/from annual fishing trip in North Dakota, this place makes the stop worthwhile everytime as its our last meal before jitting a campsite for a week and the first meal after packing up camp so it always hits the spot in an even more special way for me and my boys. Menu always ses to rotate but always delicious, well thought out options.

Andrew Koupal

Always great for breakfast and lunch, even better for supper! The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is topnotch.

Kari Bolen

Hands down the best Buffalo Burger that my husband and I have ever had! We sat outside and Patrick was our waiter. Excellent choice for an amazing Father’s Day dinner!

shop93aj

If there are spots at the community table at Tally's, sit down and chat with someone new! I've enjoyed brunch at Tally's several times now and the food is simply wonderful. If you are looking for IHop, this isn't it. Their recipes are top-notch, the service is great, and the flavors you encounter are off and unique, and always delicious.

Matt Hein

The coffee was so good... Pancakes were great!

Bryan Kendrick

An amazing experience. The trifecta of service, atmosphere and food.

Lianne Stewart

Stopped in for a later dinner while staying across the street. Nice upscale dinner with a bar. Friendly service that is helpful and attentive without being intrusive. I had a local beer and the bison burger with blue cheese, mushrooms and bacon. It was really good. Nice bun. Well cooked. Great flavor! The sweet potato fries are very tasty! Nice butter accompaniment.

Nanon Talley

Delicious food and great service!

Gaige Mortenson

Pretty decent place to eat.

Jon Morrill

Really enjoyed my visit here. The place was extremely busy, and tables are a bit tight. But the wait staff was great and the food good too.

Linda Powell

Bison burger was delicious, and the sweet potatoe fries were top notch. A little prices, but worth it.

NYC Standard

The NYC Standard Review: Apparently you have to visit Tally's during dinner service to receive attentive and timely service. At least according to the other reviews. We are all baffled on how they have so many great reviews. We have visited, revisited, and re-revisited during breakfast and lunch hours even on different days to ensure we are leaving the most accurate review. We really, reallyyy wanted to like this place. Maybe there is still hope. Time, time, time; Waited 53 minutes for 2 eggs Benedict's, a fried egg breakfast, a sandwich, and some omelette spinoff. The only thing relaxed about Tally's is the service. You can't take 45 mins to serve breakfast food and a sandwich you just can't. A quick look over in the kitchen area and so much food piled up under the heat lamps tells us it is probably not the kitchen. Hire some food expeditors for the love of.. 3 separate times all took way too long to get our food. No table touches apologizing for the delay tells us this is the norm. When you order complex upscale dishes it is to be expected. We are talking eggs people... eggs! As you can tell the sting is still fresh on this one. Upscale places should have upscale staff. Front of the house is the first face and impression of your establishment. Stop giving it away with reckless abandon! Hire competent people or train them. Let's remind everyone we review based on what they claim to be, in THEIR OWN WORDS, upscale yet relaxed, modern and inspired. Service; You take drink orders while people are reviewing the menu. Overwhelmed staff can't handle the volume of customers. When you are only getting to drink orders and it's been so long you are taking the food order as well at the same time, it's time to make some changes. Price. $11.87 roughly for a Reuben and a side of fries. This must have been one of their "traditional" plates because there was nothing "inspired" about it. Typical Reuben ingredients, upscale price. Taste was good but for that price I better leave their saying that was the best Reuben I've ever had. Missed the mark by A-lot. Portion consistency; Two ppl order the same dish with the same sides, should have the same amount of sides. First 2 times no one caught it, this last time server was placing it down and realized the issue and corrected immediately. 45 plus mins to plate breakfast and you can't get the hash portion right? Good on that one server for sure though. Insulting the last straw; Side of ham steak served burnt on one side and served burnt side up. It takes a lot of effort to actually over cook ham steak. It takes even more effort for a chef to lie to themselves and pretend like it is ok to serve something that is visibly burnt. Quality Control anyone? Ask for it off the bill, sure no problem. No inquiry, no apology, no problem. Care for the customer or establishment's Reputation not the servers problem I suppose. Pros: Taste all around their dishes is pretty consistent. Good flavor, hot food. This must be what keeps people coming back combined with the lack of options for breakfast in the area. Breakfast menu is pretty fairly priced. Ingredients fresh Summary and recommendation If you have 3 hours to kill, are in no rush, and really aren't concerned with or value service for your buck, then go for it. It's really a great place with poor execution. You will eventually get your food and it will probably taste good. For Mgmt. Hire turnkey staff, or train them. You are doing half of the menu gourmet dishes at volume pace. Maybe decide what kind of a place you are and target that type of customer. Hire food expeditors that can double as QC. This was a rough review but it is important to us here at The NYC Standard that we do not obtain a reputation for running around bashing our local eateries. We actually care not just for the customer but for the establishment. We write our reviews objectively, with a high standard but fair and constructively as possible. We look forward to checking back and updating our review. :) you can do it Tally's!

CHARNE WALTERS

My favorite restaurant in South Dakota! Fine dining that makes your taste buds sizzle. We went back 3 times in the 4 nights we spent in Rapid and I'm counting down the weeks for when we can go back! Amazing atmosphere, staff and food, can't ask for much more!

Robin Hinz

The best caramel rolls on the planet

Max Maltese

Always a fabulous breakfast, bit of a wait but well worth it

Frank Del Campo

Absolutely love this place! When I'm in rapid city, it's one of my go to places! I love the food, the service and I absolutely love their breakfast! I love the pancakes, the ham steak and the omelets! This is a great place and I will be back again next year!!!

mimi tran

Had the Buffalo Steak and eggs breakfast. We had wonderful service. Breakfast ends at 3pm and lunch starts at 11am.

Geo CiMedman

Buffalo burgers, yum! Thick and cooked perfect. Salad nice. Delish waffle fries. Gourmet presentation. Very popular bar.

Nick Bryant

The food was great in a casual setting for lunch.

Anne Foglesong

Friendly efficient service; delicious food, loves the singer.

Walter MacNeil

A gem in the heart of Midwest culinary darkness! A great space. Well trained staff and kitchen. Interesting and tempting menu. Great wine list. Serious commitment to local/regional ingredients for a series of daily varying dishes besides some classics. The buffalo burger is the best ever. Have dinner and come back for the legendary pancakes for breakfast.

Fred Gonzales

Reasonable prices, breakfast served until 2pm great lunch menu great food. Highly recommend

Amy Street

Great food, great atmosphere & very friendly staff. This place is ran very efficiently and was well staffed for the breakfast rush. Great job to all. We are traveling the country & are always trying out new places to eat at, this place was on the top of our list for breakfast.

Sidney Williams

The food came out shortly after we ordered and turned out to be some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten. I got the cinnamon swirl French toast with an over easy egg and ham. I could not get enough! Everything was amazing about this place. Loved it!

jax Ppp

Over rated little above average for the cost. I was not impressed. Staff was excellent very attentive.

Michael Wickwire

The food here is incredible, and the staff are very attentive! Such a wonderful local place to eat!

Maria Kidner

Great model. Food average.... noodle dishes very rich and too big. Service was excellent.

Dewey Callicott

We were sadly disappointed with the quality of food which should have been commensurate with the prices. Our expectations were not fulfilled after ordering Bison Filet Mignon and the Lamb Kardashian. The meats both lacked substantial flavor and the Bison was somewhat dry. The dishes did incorporate several ingredients, yet lacked the flavor that enhances the meats. Our experience with Tally’s Silver Spoon doesn’t compare to other restaurants outside this area that are of the same pricing and dining experience. I really expected this restaurant to be more of a 4 to 5 star caliber when it t came to the actual quality of our dishes.

Andrea Waltz

Great food although lunch took 30 minutes to come out. Worth it just don’t go if you’re in a hurry.

Ryan Spawr

Delicious food and friendly staff. Will stop in if/when passing through Rapid City SD.

Christopher Oram

Fantastic breakfast food, perhaps the best breakfast restaurant I have ever been to. Make sure to order ham as a side! What they give you is a huge steak, not just little ham cubes or something similar that you might find at other restaurants. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered here.

Michele Diamond

Offering industry guidance to your servers and your kitchen staff would be helpful. Same situation at Delmonico Grill. Disappointed on many levels at both locations. You can advertise 'upscale' but you can't fake it. M

Arthur Schoenberger

Very energetic atmosphere! Many locals! Excellent food and service. Had the buffalo filet which was perfect!

Fat Pankake

Worth the price and wait. American restaurant in town.

Howard Packham

Really great dining option if you're in the area. It's higher end than we expected but still very approachable and with friendly, professional staff. The bison burger was great, but there were also really tasty pasta and salad dishes. Add to that the draft beer from some local brewers and it turned into a great meal.

Michael Hoffman

This might be the only trendy dining in Rapid City, but the food is quite good. After our meal, waiter presented the check and when I offered my credit card, then he mentions that their credit card machine is not working. Fortunately, I had enough cash to cover it. Probably should have been warned earlier?

Richard Wiggin

Excellent food and service. Not five stars because they only have local micro experimental beers on tap ( i know, its the fashion. Having had beer around the world for 50 years i am tired of this new, never know what you will get, generally poorly finished product ). Want a name brand and the choice is cowboy diet beer; Bud light and the such. Why cant they have Stella ,or Heineken on tap? And if its “local” why is it $8.00 a glass??? Otherwise, i would say there very good value and service in this landmark cafe.

Dan Edmans

Excellent food and excellent service! We sat at the tables on the sidewalk with our dogs and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The server was very responsive and attended to our every request quickly. The food was great! I had the bison burger and the burger and the fries were outrageously delicious! My wife had a pasta that was fantastic and the table next to us asked about it because it was presented in such a wonderful fashion! I should have taken a picture of it!

Andrew Cassano

Awesome atmosphere and accommodating for vegans / vegetarians. Highly recommended!

Meredith Birdwell

Best breakfast of our whole trip.

Andrew Lidholm

This place is a mess. My partner and I were unimpressed with both the service and the food. We were seated nearly immediately, which is fantastic for a Saturday night with no reservation, but the host who seated us was very clearly in a hurry and did not take the time to ask if we would like an appetizer or if we wanted anything to drink other than water. The wait staff, while very quick to refill our water glasses, was all over the place. We had the host seat us, a young man bring us napkins and silverware, a woman bring us our water glasses and another gentleman eventually bring us our food. This left my partner and I feeling like we had no member of staff we could flag down if we had questions because we did not feel like we had an assigned member of staff waiting upon us. We waited 55 minutes for a medium rare steak and a plate of carbonara, which is a frankly unacceptable amount of time for any dish, let alone a 5oz steak and pasta. After our food finally arrived, my partner pointed out large grease streaks and many fingerprints on my plate. The black bean cake that was served with my steak hurt my teeth to bite into and my partners pasta was served without cheese. Overall, our experience at Tally's was incredibly disappointing and we would not recommend it to anyone. There were a few pros to this restaurant, however, my partner still cannot stop raving about the atmosphere and I greatly enjoyed the live acoustic music. Unfortunately, a restaurant is ultimately about food and the service that comes with it, and Tally's is sadly lacking in both.

Dennis Rihm

Godd mix of game meat and standard fare. Always a great meal. Saw a great rainbow through brewing thunderstorm clouds afterwards!

Sue Long

We had to stop for some real food on our trip. It's not like a five star dinning spot, but we enjoyed our gluten free options. They had little bit of everything for us on the menu. (We found it on the GF ap) I had French dip, he had a chicken sandwich. They gave LOTS of ketchup and mayo in dishes.... lots! Food was quick and good.

Gary Remy

My waitress Zoe was excellent. Kept my drink glass full, food was priced Right and very large portions. Tasted great!!

Michelle Taylor

The coffee is amazing. The bacon is amazing. My company was amazing, but I can't guarantee that, everything here is worth the brunch! Breakfast until 2, lunch 2- close.

greg mccoy

Really good food. As soon as we walked in the aroma was so inviting and comforting. The service was excellent. Our waiter was able to explain all the dishes. We had a party of 4. We ordered the seafood pasta, the French dip and two of us had the Black Hills Buffalo burger with the mushrooms. For an appetizer we had the mushrooms d'jour. It was outstanding! Recommended eating here.

Nurse Catalyst

Considering the amount of time I waited for my omelette to arrive, I expected it to be hot and fresh. It wasn’t. The plate had clearly been sitting as the omelette was barely above room temperature and the cheddar on top had begun to solidify. The toast was decent but lacked proper butter; the jam provided was nothing special and is served at Denny’s. The coffee was ok. The fresh orange juice room temperature. Not worth a return visit.

H tt ps Fuyu

i lost my wallet but the waiter said its fine and he had a wallet just like mine im so happy he was so nice :)

Rick Wisser

Breakfast was awesome! I had eggs with ham and hashbrowns. The eggs were done right and the hashbrowns and ham potions were plentiful!

Dallis Basel

Excellent food, seating outside got cold and they found room inside. Good service

D Zonneveld

They deserve 6 stars. Even though they were swamped, the service was excellent as was the food.

Shayla Smejkal

The vegan cheese pasta was just ok. It was pretty bland for $14. I can make better vegan cheese at home and I'm definitely no chef. The portion size was also small. For being a 115 lb girl, I left still hungry. The restaurant is not what it's hyped up to be. Lived here all my life and this was my first time at this place. Probably won't be back. Great server though and good atmosphere, just not great food for the price

Jennifer coffman

The food was really good! In downtown Rapid City, SD. Historic and delicious!

Mary Munoz

Best restaurant in town. Hands down! The indecision menu is so fun and delicious! I highly recommend Tally's for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Greg Hajcak

Really excellent. Best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had.

Chris Stewart

Loved the food can't wait to come back and try other dishes

Leighann Breeze

I recommend the waffles, although everything looked really good so you probably can't go wrong! The fresh fruit was some of the best I've ever had at a restaurant: if you don't order something that comes with it you should get a side of fruit. Plenty of outdoor seating available if you bring your dog.

Alex Conklin

Great Selection and wonderful service. Try the breakfast burrito!

Margot Sims

The Hotel Alex Johnson recommended this plsce. It certainly was conveniently just across the street. The coffee was bottomless. They were very efficient getting the table ready at the beginning & clearing away at the end. I had the lox (smoked salmon) plate & enjoyed when I finally got it. The waitress had a bit of an attitude, growing quite irritable when I told her something.

Kenzi Meeks

Left feeling disrespected today. Food was good. But the wait staff is mouthy. Not interested in returning.

Antwaun

The eggs were literally cool, and not soft scramble eggs. Sausages lack flavor. The best things were pancakes and coffee

Trina Wheeler

Superb food served by a great staff

Luke Yellow Robe

Tonight's meal was 5 star, our server Rich was incredible professional, polite and pleasant, our experience was very enjoyable.

Buiron Hawkley

I went out to eat with others on a business trip. I asked if they could make one of the salads vegetarian and the wonderful wait staff offered me the option of the chef making a vegetarian plate. I accepted that offer and it was WONDERFUL. My friends also had great food from the menu ( i sneaked a french fry from one of my friends and it was delicious). Great food, great staff, great place to eat!

The food! Old school diner type with friendly and fast service. What really sets this place apart is the food. Excellent grilled sandwiches, and outstanding breakfast. Wherever you are in Rapid City, if you are hungry, it is definitely worth a drive downtown to Tally's.

Stopped in for Sunday lunch, and got the Eggs Benedict. Absolutely delicious. The hollandaise sauce was some of the best I've had. The ham had a wonderful flavor that reminded me of my favorite pizza place back home. Servers were friendly and prompt. Will definitely be back.

We loved this place. They treat guests like VIP with their fancy way to serve breakfast and the friendly service. The taste is unique, and I loved the sign for the restrooms, which included changing tables on both.
