Something has changed at the Diner. New Chef??? I have ordered chicken and waffles many times. But, the last two times the chicken has been way too spicy and one of those times the chicken was so overcooked and HARD that I had to send it back. My friend ordered mashed potatoes with country gravy but got a spicy sausage gravy, which she couldn't eat. Staff there is great!

Oh my goodness was this place good! It was the first place my friend and I visited when we came to Sioux Falls. We were starving and I read good things about this place. It had a very classic diner feel with delicious food. Service was quick and the staff were really friendly. You can eat inside or out on their patio. Prices were decent and food quality was great. It’s a easy walk to from anywhere downtown.

This is such a fun diner! There is seating inside and outside. Outside has a view of a little fountain and the Sioux Falls mushroom statue. Inside is charming and cozy. They have a nice selection of food, ranging from traditional American breakfast (served all day) to more varied dinner meals. They have shakes and beer. Awesome choice for a unique experience downtown Sioux Falls!

Yummmm-o! This was a great stop for us on our tour of downtown Sioux Falls. Very good service and excellent food. The Elvis Waffle and Huevos Rancheros Burrito were our top choices.

Very good food, with a fairly large menu. I personally don't especially appreciate a large menu because I have a problem making a decision in a timely manner, and this was no different, but I was extremely happy with my choice of macaroni and cheese. It was nothing short of spectacular, some of the best I've ever had. Also the milkshakes are big and beautiful!

I am from NJ so for me the dinner is a holy place. This one tries very hard to be a cleaned up greasy spoon and comes very close. I ordered the melt and french fries with gravy and was not disappointed. I knew I was not somewhere off of route 1 but overall the food was very good and the service excellent.

Loved this diner! Food was excellent! I had the Farmers Scramble and it was delicious. I always appreciate restaurants that serve all day breakfast. My friend had the Ruben with mashed potatoes and gravy. He said it was a 10! Great bread, meat, sauerkraut and carmelized onions with homemade 1000 island dressing. He almost always needs extra sauce but not here. Iced tea was exceptional as well!

Great food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. I went for breakfast & had a ham & cheese omelette. Very good. I would stop again. I have eaten dinner here a few times, usually on the patio in the summer, but had never been for breakfast. It’s no wonder it’s busy, the food was delicious and service was excellent. Definitely recommend a morning visit to the diner. Such fun to sit outside on Phillips Avenue downtown. It is a great place to people watch and visit with family members. I would highly recommend their homemade shakes!

This is one of my favorite places to go! The food is great and they have a wonderful selection. The milkshakes are so good and the foggy London is a must have if you like tea. the music is always fun and the area is superb. The service is perfect and the amount of smiles made me so happy. It's downtown so also a perfect location. I'd honestly rate it 20/10 stars is I could!

Everything you’d expect from a classic Americana diner. The menu selection is great with a ton of burgers to choose from with a vegetarian patty available to substitute on any of them. The shakes are equally impressive with flavors such as strawberry cheesecake and banana peanut butter (the king). Will definitely come back if I ever burn off all those calories.

I was in Sioux Falls for business and I took a walk downtown. I came upon Phillips Avenue Diner. It was so cute and charming from the outside that I decided to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. It was like an old fashion drugstore soda counter. They had a nice menu. I had a Thai Chicken wrap with sweet potato fries that were great. The highlight was the tomato bisque. It was fantastic. I was too full for dessert, but they had milkshakes and malts. Very nice wait staff as well

We decided to eat breakfast here since it was one of the closer places from the Holiday inn downtown City center area where we stayed the night. Location is perfect since you can just eat and then be on your way to see the rest of Phillips avenue. Everybody had different things from the breakfast menu, from breakfast burritos to the egg sandwiches, all were pretty decent. Staff was super friendly.

I went for a Sunday breakfast and it was quite good. Our waitress was very nice, and overall the service was great. The ambience was great and gave it a nice, modern/classic look. I had the 2-2-2 and everything was great on it. I strongly recommend to go eat here if you are in Sioux Falls any time.

Went here with my girlfriend for lunch. Food took a long time to arrive, was quite greasy and was not very appetizing. Their prices seem high for the quality of food. I had some eggs/hashbrowns/basic breakfast items and she had the turkey BLT. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't worth the money when there are so many better options in the same area.

Fun dining at an old style diner. Food was fresh. Large portions. My friend had a burger and fries. She raved about the bun. I had a delightful salad with grilled chicken, glazed pecans, strawberries, & feta. We had a strawberry shake the waitress split into 2 glasses. That was plenty. Not a cheap place to eat but well worth the price. Glad she took me there.

My family loves this place. I always go for a burger because they’ve got a fantastic spicy burger. My family always gets some sort of breakfast and seems to order something different and they are always extremely satisfied. Eggs were great. French Toast was very filling. Bacon was cooked to perfection. Also good malts and good beer variety; what more can you ask for to please the whole family! The Staff was super nice and great with recommendations.

Excellent variety on menu. We had a very good standard American breakfast on a late Sunday morning. (Eggs, french toast, ham, waffles) All of it was really tasty, and complete with a bottomless cup of coffee! They also have lots of other things on the menu that would be good for lunch or dinner.

Our take-out lunch was kind of pricy but tasted great, so good we actually went back for dinner trying to escape the loud downtown crowd. Server was rude when we asked if we could sit towards the back where it was a bit quieter so we left.

I ate the chicken strip melt with a coffee! The coffee was good and the sandwich was decent. I must say the hot roast beef looked like the better choice! If your looking for a good old-fashioned dinner this is a great stop. They have amazing milk shakes, burgers, and diner classics! A nicer option for the downtown Sioux falls area.

No flavor to three out of the four meals we ordered. The taco salad was the size of a pre-dinner salad, no dressings and when asked the only option was a Southwestern dressing. It consisted of lettuce, no cheese, tomatoes or anything besides roughly a 1/4 cup of extremely dry meat that looked like it was sitting for hours and the leftovers. Everyone was hungry when we left, two young adults and two adults. Our bill was around $65 for four dishes.

Recommended to this place by a friend that moved to the city. My husband and I stopped for breakfast and the atmosphere was really comfortable and the service was great. They also have amazing milkshakes. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because I ordered biscuits with sausage gravy and it was a lot different than the usual order without explanation of that on the menu. It wasn't traditional at all (which is fine, but I would have expected that written). Outside of that it was a really cool place and had tons of options.

The service here was spectacular. I walked in and immediately got a seat even though it was prime lunchtime. Our waitress was really good at making sure we had a full glass each time she walked by. The kitchen did a great job of getting our food out as quick as possible. for my food, I had never had poutine before, so I ordered that for an appetizer. I don't know if this is bad poutine or good poutine, but my friends and I loved the poutine. For my meal, I ordered the hot mashed potato and chicken wrap and it was quite good and quite filling. There is so much on the menu that looked good, so I wish I could have another opportunity to eat here.
