Really love this place. The food is very classy even if you're just dressed casual. They really strive for that fancy vibe and really make it work. Staff is so friendly, alcoholic drinks are good. I usually get the Champaign chicken, can't go wrong with it. They have specials every day so take a listen to those.

Not a great experience. Seated at the bar and was ignored for most of the time. I had to get my own bar menu, food menu, wine menu, and silverware. The food was fine, but nothing that I would ever return for. Prices were slightly above average for Rapid City, but I felt like the portions were fair. It was arguably the worst service I’ve ever received at any restaurant and I’m constantly traveling and eating out across the country.

Had a family dinner. There was 8 of us. They placed us in the back room where there was 4 other large parties. It was sooo loud you had to yell to hear each other. Kids were screaming, adults were drunk and talking loud. It was louder then a fast food playhouse. It was uncomfortable for the price of food you pay. Don’t let them place you in the back room. But the staff was great.

It was nice to finally hit a good restaurant after being on the road for days.I felt pampered by the service,cloth napkins,and generous glass of Merlot. Salad bar was great.Sorry I didn't get the special that evening, Oktoberfest platter,but was not disappointed.Great find in Rapid City.

Look, this isn't you're average diner to grab a $5 meal at. You're looking at spending at least $20+ per person during dinner hours at best. I've been to the bar side and they serve great drinks. Robert is an excellent bar tender. The restaurant side is much different. The food quality matches the price. That's all there is to it. Don't want to get Spendy? Denny's is across the street

Ordered food and waited over an hour and still hadn't shown up. A lot of tables not cleaned off. I understand being unexpectedly busy but you neglected your patrons to help out for something that came up unexpectedly. And the women's restroom had a toilet plugged and water was going all over the floor. We used to come up there quite often but after tonight I'm not sure when or if we will be back.

My husband and I went on a date last night and we had an amazing meal! Our server, Ashley, was great! She was attentive even though she was crazy busy. Answered all my questions and was very efficient. The food took a long time though, but they were busy. It took about 40 minutes from the time we ordered, but the guy who delivered it was very friendly and asked if we needed anything. The food was so delicious!! I had the French dip and I was fantastic. My husband loved his pork tenderloin Marsala but said the portion was a little small. We love it here and will be back!!

If I could rate on service, I'd give this place five stars. The server was great. Unfortunately the quality of food didn't hold up to the quality of service. The meals were very expensive and not that great, featuring frozen vegetables and "butter" spread instead of fresh and real foods. Salad bar was good but basic and lacked a variety of vegetables. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for the price.

We went for brunch. It was ok. I had never been to Minerva's, but had seen many positive reviews, so my wife, our 2 children and I went to check it out. It was, at best, mediocre. The only bright spot was a ice cream cone bar that the kids were excited about, the other dessert options, while tasty, seemed like left overs from a banquet a couple days before, due to the crunchiness of every cake I sampled. I really expected better than Ruby Tuesday, but I think Ruby's has you beat.

Last night was the first time in probably 5 years we ate at Minerva's. It was my mother's birthday. We have long enjoyed the meals we have had there. I have to say, they have fallen a long way. I have a gin/tonic while waiting for the rest of the family. The tonic was flat and that set the tone for the rest of the meal. Salads were nothing like they used to be. Served individually now they look like greens slapped on the serving plate with the add ins tossed on in piles. Unappealing! Seafood risotto comes with lobster, shrimp and scallops. The lobster was ok cooked into the risotto but the shrimp and scallops were also cooked in the risotto making them rubbery and inconsistent. They should have been carmelized in a saute pan and added on top for proper handling. The chicken caprese was cold, the sauce bland and the chicken was undoubtedly prepared ahead rather than fresh and was the same chicken on the chicken risotto which was also bland. Blackened steak tips were ordered med rare but were grey and chewy. The potato crusted walleye had lots of bones to work around. The pork chop was over cooked and topped with a "cherry sauce" that was nothing less than canned cherry pie filling. The only reason for a 2 on this review was the service was excellent-efficient and friendly. Sorry Minerva's but you have clearly lost something over the years. So long! For the price, I'd rather eat at Outback or Chili's.

We decided on this restaurant because of its positive reviews. Although, our experience was anything but positive. Two of us ordered the seafood risotto and it was incredibly salty. I told the waitress and she didn’t really care. Won’t be returning.

A very nice restaurant, but we were not impressed with the food. Had the walleye which came with carrots and asparagus. The fish was great, but the way too big pile of carrots were undercooked, as were the three tiny pieces of asparagus. The others in our party were happy with their food and the service was great.

We enjoyed a quiet lunch at Minerva's. The food was good; the service was solid, and the menu reflective of a restaurant of this type. Although there is a sports bar in the west side of the facility, the customer base skewed towards the older side throughout. We would stop here again.

Got tied up at checkout ,walked in to restaurant 1028 and totally disrespected by the waitress that ALWAYS appears like she just crawled out of bed. She walked by ,or shuffled ,4 x then asked ,"what can i get you to drink"? I replied coffee orange juice and water,let's start with oatmeal". We're done with breakfast was her response and walked away . AS SHE SHUFFLED off I asked, what time breakfast end?1030 she said . That's funny, I landed at 930, got my rental, stopped for a few things at Sam's, checked in 2 days earlier arrived at 1100a and ate breakfast . place use to be phenomenal ,unsure what happened but I won't EVER return . The motel is still good choice while traveling but dinner was cold,portions small and service like they are annoyed you came to eat .

Place was a bit pricey for the portions we received. I ordered a French dip or beef dip with mushrooms and onions but only half of my sandwich had around 3-4 decent sized mushrooms and all of 2 onions on the same half. Wife ordered steak tips and had asked for the tips to be cooked well done but when received the first 3 steak tips she cut open were rare or medium. With decent amount of blood. Ask them to be recooked when returned only the pasta seemed to be recooked but the steak was the same decided to just deal with it. Overall food was decent but lacking portions and quality for a total of $50 dollars. Service was good and speedy. So your in a mood for pricey food with medicore quality this is your best bet. May return one day.

The French onion soup was tasteless and lukewarm. I ordered the steak tips the steak was tough and chewy the sauce it was soaking in was a glutinous flour paste. The balsamic "reduction" that was drizzled over the obviously instant mashed potatoes had not even an essence of flavor. The best part of this meal was the garnish!

The only reason i gave it 2 stars is because the waitress was nice and the salad bar was good but the rest of the experience was terrible!! Not sure where to start.....when we arrived, we were told there would be a 20 minute wait which was closer to 30 minutes. As we were finally being seated, i asked why we had to wait when the place was less than half full with numerous open tables. We were told that they had to make people wait because they didn't have enough servers that night. One person in our party returned their meal as it was not edible. In fact, he felt so nauseated after the two bites he did take, he opted to not order a replacement meal. Another person in the party had to send their food back because it was cold and didn't have the grilled chicken on it as ordered. His replacement meal was mediocre at best. The waitress repeatedly told us how busy the kitchen staff was last night as an excuse for the poor quality. The waitress was very nice. The salad bar was good.

Who does a breakfast buffet with no bacon? And what happened to the guy who used to cook your omelette exactly the way you like it? I miss that guy! Chocolate milk tasted like tap water with chocolate syrup. I guess if you like skim milk it's ok. And what's with the waitresses and their messy hair? Looks like they just rolled out of bed. Hospitality is great! Food was horrible. Minerva's is not the same and it definitely isn't for the better.

One of our favorites for lunch on our weekly trip to Rapid City. Stopped in this past week, we usually order their salad bar that includes couple choices of soups, smoked salmon, deli meat, and lots of other great choices. Everything is always so fresh and tasty. My friend has their Blackened Salmon Salad that she said was very good. Great atmosphere. Great service by Kristina this last stop.
