So I would give the service a 5 star as our waitress who was also bartender was great. There was also a gentleman there and they were both friendly so I left a good tip. I guess my 3 star is because of price. We were there at 9:45 at night and I thought we could only order nachos and wings so I ordered nachos and my daughter did and my son ordered wings. I thought we would get happy hour price but we weren’t there on the right day which I was not aware of. All tasted wonderful. I got the bill and it was 40$. I didn’t say anything as it was my mess up thinking it was that price. Food was great but price was steep. Next time I will go during regular hours and get a fancy meal or double check before I order. Service was amazing and good tasted great so I would probably come back.

My waitress was Sam, she was very nice and was just in time to check if o needed anything. I ordered the tomato bisque with salad and bread. The soup was amazing topped off with croutons. The salad and bread were ok. Great food service. Thank you!

We had our annual Christmas part tonight at Minervas. I felt so embarrassed for my boss, she prides herself in treating her employee's to a nice evening out. Minervas ran out of food after serving a little over 3/4 th of the people, 200 people, not a small company. I was able to get salad, and cold potatoes. How disappointing. They did however give gift cards for door prizes, no I didnt win one. I am now home eating a sandwich. I sure hope our company gets a huge discount and a different place for our christmas party next year.

This place didn't live up to the Minerva's expectation I have being from Sioux Falls. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium well. I cut into it and notified the waitress right away that it was over cooked. Which would have been fine. Cut to the waitess bringing back out the same steak a few minutes later. The "chef" had cut into the steak also, and wanted her to inform me it was medium rare. It wasn't, but I'm not normally someone who complains so I take it back. Then the manager comes over and notifies me that he heard we've had some problems. I show him the steak and say, "This was supposed to be medium rare." Then he leads with, "well it is for us." I didn't know Yankton Minerva's used a different doneness chart than the rest of the country. Needless to say, it all came across very rude! I'm used to Minerva's in Sioux Falls, which is 5 star every time. I will not return to this location.

We held the rehearsal supper for my sons wedding at Minervias in Yankton. We were very unhappy with both the service and food quality. Food orders were supposed to be taken at 6:00 they weren’t taken until 7:00 when we asked how soon they were going to start taking them. Then when we finally got our food it was lukewarm at best or not done.

I used to eat here all the time. Not sure what is going on there but every time I go there the last couple years has been extremely disappointing and tonight was the same. The food size has been getting smaller, the price keeps going up and the drinks are perhaps the most watered down in town. I asked for a martini and it came half full. I sent it back and the manager brought the same thing back to me. On top of that I got a charge for a premium drink that I didn’t order. We have so few options in Yankton I hate to see this option off my list for a long time.

I've had the privilege of dining in some of this countries finest restaurants and I always see myself ordering a steak . Hands down one of the best steaks I've ever had . Excellent appearance and taste . I've been blessed to have had a steak prepared by TV's famous chef Gordon Ramsey. You give Gordon a run for his money . Keep up the good work !

Go somewhere else! We walked into a basically empty dining room, where the host set us at the one table that stared directly into the sun. The draft beer selection is pitiful. The steaks are ridiculously overpriced for a place that refers to itself as a “beef capital”. Come to find out, “we only have the most expensive cut available, we’re out of all others at this time.” That steak tasted like it should have been served in slices on a tortilla. The chicken was possibly the cheapest, toughest breast I’ve encountered, despite the high price tag. And to top that, all food was cold. This place is a joke feeding off unsuspecting victims that find themselves at the attached hotel. If you have any choice at all, go anywhere else! If not, starvation is likely a better option!

We ordered the prime rib which came out on a plate that was an inch deep full of auju sauce. Not realizing how deep it was, we cut into it and the auju sauce splashed everywhere. When the waitress came to check on us (finally) we told our waitress the issue she scrunched up her nose and rudely with tone asked "well did I splash you?" She didn't apologize, or ask if there was anything that she could do. We asked to speak with a manager, and when we told him what happened, he did nothing but make excuses. Don't go there. Find somewhere else for a nice dinner.

I enjoyed my visit. I stayed in the conjoined Best Western and ate there twice over my weeks stay. The food was prepared properly and tasted better than expected. The portion sizes of all the dishes were appropriate. They had specials throughout the week that discounted appretizers and drinks alike. The service was quick and respectful. There was plenty of seating to accommodate parties of various sizes. Sports were shared on the multiple large TVs. When I visited Yankton there was nasty weather and a lot of local places closed for it. This placed stayed open through the winter chill. Reliable place.

You know what, I've been to a few different Minervas and always found them pretty average... but there's something about this one specifically that always treated me really good. I pretty much always enjoyed my meals here and always loved the setup and atmosphere. Staff were always helpful and friendly. It's odd, other locations I always found the difference in class to be huge. This is also a pretty classy place for the area location. Always have some nice Jazz playing and a suave atmosphere. Where other locations seem a cheaper and trashier place. Recommend the Yankton location.

Was alright, got the pasta bar and was pretty excited but I didn't realize you just choose chicken or some veggies and brought them up to the guy to cook for you. Only choice in pasta was Angel hair and one other. So it really should have been called a veggie bar. Then there was the awkwardness if just standing there and waiting for your meal to be cooked.

We had very high expectations for going here for the first time. We went on a Sunday evening when it was busy. Seated right away. Took forever to get food. They were out of bread. The only thing that was hot was the mac and cheese side. My wife sent her steak stir fry back to get heated up and it was returned with next to no sause. Sirloin steak was nothing special wasn't hot. We were comped a tea and soda and given a free slice of lemon desert. Neither of us eat lemon... First impression: Poor service, poor food, over priced.

This is a great place to host a private event. As an Entertainer I can tell you that it's a great load in and load out. There is a 220 volt outlet and a 110 outlet box available (aka a Doghouse). The staff there is friendly and professional and willing to help anyway they can. The banquet hall is already pretty good all by itself so not a lot of decorating is required for a formal event. Highly recommend if you're looking for an event center in the Yankton area!

$28 dollar Ribeye that tasted like a $9.99 steak at Denny's. I might have been able to make a better steak in a microwave. Service was slow, wouldn't refill drinks. Not impressed. A steak doesn't need sauce...unless it's an overpriced, overcooked piece of leather.

We used to brunch here often with family while visiting town...but since moving here last year, we've had to stop coming due to the price vs quality. We went today to give brunch another shot. It will be our last time. Quality has gone so far down hill. Instead of the yummy hashbrowns casserole, it's just fried triangle shaped hashbrowns. Instead of eggs Benedict, it's precooked "omelets", like what you get at a holiday inn hotel breakfast bar. Gone are the Scottish banger sausages and now it's precooked McDonalds looking sausage patties. Listen guys, this would be ok if they had lowered the price of brunch to match the quality, but they haven't! It's no wonder the other breakfast places in town are busier then ever.
