Good food and friendly service. Came here on a Tuesday night for dinner. Had me a couple of cold drinks and a hot burger. Good prices and waiter took good care if us.

Very good food recommend the steak, pasta and chiclids. Staff was friendly little slow but they were short staffed. Seating is nice and restaurant is clean. Bummed the tables along the front windows werent being sat (was told that section was closed) would have been a nice view.

Sat down at the bar and was waited on almost immediately. Very friendly and polite bartenders. Ordered Jumping Jack McCall burger and regular fries. Best I've had in awhile. Will definitely go back. Thank You. PS. Beer was nice and cold. Hard to find sometimes.

Good steak, friendly service. Not a big fan of all the gambling going around (which makes the restaurant look a little grimm), but I shouldn't have come to Deadwood then ;). Steakdeal was 6oz for $6.99, which was a steal. Unfortunately, the broccoli came with cheese, which was unnecessary. Cocktails are very good too!

Food was ok. Not bad, but I certainly had better food for what they charge. On that note, wouldn’t rate this place as affordable either. Service was slow. To be clear, our waitress was very nice and attentive, but they could certainly hire a few more hands. Overall food that was ok but to expensive and long waits. Probably not worth a second visit.

Food was very good, interior seems run down and in need of a boost. Our waitress seemed angry at first, but warmed up as the night went on and was fun and personable (in her own way) by the end of our evening.

Did the typical Deadwood stop and stopped in for lunch. Great environment upstairs at the restaurant in a nicely lit, relaxed setting. The highlight for us was the food. I had the pulled pork sandwich which had a nice temperature and great tasting sauce. We also had steak which was cooked perfectly. As many have mentioned the service was friendly but slow... be prepared to wait. Otherwise great location in heart of Deadwood!

We went for the Friday steak deal...it ends next week till fall....$6 and some change for awesome steak...6 oz.....with potato or vegetable and a salad....they have cooked ours perfect every time....that's our Friday thing because its great! You also get $4 coupon to play in the casino below....mostly slot machines but they also have a couple tables for dealer games...

Been here a few times. Love their food. Went in there tonight and was told 30 to 45 min wait with 7 open tables and not one person waiting. Waited for 10 mins and no one showed up. Went next door to the Bodega with great service and good food.

This restaurant is inside one of the Deadwood casinos. After getting by the not so friendly hostess to get our table are a waitress was awesome! I can't say more about Raven, our waitress. Raven was expert at the menu and was able to guide my wife through her gluten-free dinner choice. She was very attentive, bright, and happy and always willing to help! Raven really made our dinner and enjoyable experience. And, our friends won $600 In the casino, more than enough to pay for our steak dinners!

We spent a week in Deadwood and we went here 4 nights for dinner. The bacon wrapped pork chops were great!! The Ribs were nice and thick and exceptional!! The only thing is that when busy one day the pork chops came out without the excellent bbq sauce and the ribs were lightly sauced and over cooked. I would definitely go back! They were friendly and fast!

At first we were leary about it being above a casino but it wasn't smoky at all. The food was way better than we had expected as well! Plus we got 10% of our food order plus $5 to gamble with. It was a fun little bonus. We left with a few dollars and a souvenir chip!

I was impressed with the quality of the food. As part of a chain, I wasn't expecting too much and was trying to stick to more local establishments, however, after a couple not so great meals in the actual local places, we decided to try Mavericks. Very good steak and the ribs were fall off the bone. I ate the whole plate. The establishment itself was very clean and modern, especially compared to some of the other places, staff super friendly, and the bathroom was very clean, not leaving me wonder when was the last time it was cleaned and can I hold it a little longer.

Friendly service. We went for dinner. After the nachos appetizer, Hubby had the prime rib and I had the 1/2 rack of ribs. The meals come with one side and soup or house salad. For $1 more, I think, you can get a Caesar salad. We got the Cajun fries. They put plenty of seasoning and are delicious. We got their Harry Buffalo drink. It all tasted good. Meal cost about $80 without the tip. Ended up with $7 free playing if you have the gold dust card.

Mavericks Steak & Cocktails is a nice, cozy, romantic restaurant. Seating for the restaurant is upstairs, with a bar upstairs as well. The wait staff is kind. My server offered suggestions was patient, helpful, friendly.

We had another place recommended in Deadwood, but they only had a buffet and the place didn't look appealing, so we looked online and saw Mavericks. We weren't disappointed. The place was fun, the crowd seemed nice and we meet some new friends, and the staff was awesome. I'll come back, just for that. My heart was sweet on a great steak, so I had high expectations. The wings I got first were really good; tasty and hot as ordered, but I could have done without the side salad - uninspiring and very plain. The main attraction, the steak, was fantastic quality but overcooked. I ordered a New York Strip, medium rare, and it was between medium and medium well actually. My girlfriend ordered the filet, medium, and that was between medium well and well done. Really a shame, because the meat quality was so great! The sides were also good, so the only thing we needed was a proper temperature on the meat. The waitress asked if they should make me ones, which was nice of her, but we didn't have the time to wait. I will be back again to try their amazing steaks, hoping for the right temperature, and if that happens they'll get five stars

Went in with my wife, we sat at the bar , I was just waiting on Someone from the 1800s to walk in. We ordered a filet mignon, and a ribeye steak. A few mins later a rancher from Gillette Wyoming sat down , his name was Chase, chatted with him through dinner , before we knew it , he bought our dinner. Thank you again Chase. Great food , friendly people.

We have been to Mavericks before for the Friday steak special & appetizers. We decided to splurge a little last night. The prime rib was ok, not great. The 5 large shrimp are 5 small shrimp butterflied, breaded, deep fried & came right out of a frozen bag. Zero stars on the shrimp dinner. Very disappointed.

Maverick steaks are fabulous and the deluxe baked potato hit the spot! The atmosphere is always pleasant. The servers are quick to respond the customers needs. I came into the restaurant extremely grumpy and left satiated and happy. Thanks for a beautiful dinner with my friends.

The top sirloin was great, cooked a perfect medium rare. The steak was thick and tender, with good flavor. I ordered, mushrooms and onions, they need to improve on them. They only have bake potatoes after 4pm.

Excellent place to eat. Our group each had something different and every plate was awesome from burgers to pasta to steak. Best Alfredo ever and the steak was cooked perfectly, the seasoned fries were seasoned perfectly. We ate at the bar and the bartender Billy was the Best Server ever! He was so nice and friendly and made our dining experience here a good one. I would recommend this place to anyone and when we have a chance to come here again we for sure will!!

Look, all honestly here. Great atmosphere, service is standard... nothing to write home about. But listen, you’re in a tourist trap town. You’re gonna get tourist trap quality. Prime Rib was OK, not bad at all, but nothing spectacular. Don’t expect much and you’ll like it. I’d go again but with better understanding of what you’re walking into for the price point. That said, my bartender was spot on with the necessary tasks of food service. That I appreciated.

Very good food, good atmosphere. Staff was friendly, and restuarant was clean. The restaurant is on the second floor, on the first floor is a non-smoking casino. When you are in the restuarant you can't hear the casino so the dining is nice. A little dark in the restaurant, but the food is very good to make up for it! Highly recommend if you are a steak lover!
