Very satisfied with the service, atmosphere, and most of all, the food. While there isn't a ton of options, all of the available ones were great, quality over quantity. Lunch buffet is fairly priced at $11 and I definitely got my fill. Great place overall, absolutely coming back again.

Had a late evening meal and everyone was so welcoming and kind. The samosas were AMAZING, along with fresh crispy pakora. I highly suggest trying the lamb Nepali dish, the chef made it special as it was late night request. Great service, great people. Will be back soon.

I ordered a shrimp tandoori with naan and vegetable samosas for delivery. They didn't have vegetable samosas (what Indian place doesn't have vegetable samosas) so I begrudgingly said lamb samosas would be ok. The owners apparantly insisted I needed to pay an extra dollar for the "upcharge" for something I didn't want. No big deal, I paid extra. Then they brought me the wrong order anyway without my naan. I called for a refund and didn't get a refund. Apparently I have to pay extra to get what I didn't want and they feel they have no consequence for messing up an order. Here is your consequence. You lost a customer for a dollar.

If you want to visit this place make sure you dont bring bottle of water. I order 5 different dishes but i never tasted food like that in my whole life. I am indian but the food is like i wont offer to my dog either. I talk with the manager and i said about service he said if i talk more he will complain in police about me. I order mix vegetables what they did open up the mix vegetables pack add water and milk and gave it to me. I had 10 people at my home for my dad birthday party every thing got ruined. Will never recommend any of my friends. If wanna go make sure you went on 41st indian restaurant or sherley ave restaurant then you will know the difference

Stepped in with great excitement and stepped out with high disappointment . When the food tastes good and service provided is great the price should not worry us much . I ordered a paneer tikka which turned up to be fried paneer pieces with chat masala on it . I ordered NAAN and Curry and got the Naan first and never got the curry . After waiting for almost 15 min for the curry when asked for the order we got a reply that ‘ this is how every restaurant serves’ ( first eat Naan and eat curry later

I eat here almost every weekend since it's opening and I have enjoyed every time. I really like chicken tandoori and they have the best tandoori chicken I ever ate. I highly recommend to try this place and see for yourself.

Tried the luch buffet. 1 star for them, if not zero. Slow and unorganized service. The buffet is up to 2.30, but they were out of items way before. When asked about Raita, they told they were out when it was 1.30. Waited for Gulab Jamun for 20 minutes with the empty bucket. Ordinary menu. Food taste is not that great. Totally disappointed.

We were so excited when we saw this was coming to our side of town! Ate there last night for the first time and it did not disappoint. The kiddos LOVED the naan basket and the mango chicken was delish. I tried the chicken biryani on our waiter's recommendation and it was fabulous. I love that they will customize the heat level of any dish to your preference. We will definitely be back!

Hello FLAVOR!!!! Our table ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Shrimp Curry, Malai Tikka, and Garlic Naan. Every dish was delicious and full of flavor! I am so happy to have finally dine at Himalayan Indian Cuisine. It's comparable to Shahi Palace. It's clean and comfortable. They have a nice menu. The biggest issue here is lack of spices (flavor not just extra chili powder) and they use a ton of sugar in their chai. This place is good for most of Sioux Falls tastes, but if you want something more authentic and bolder, spicy food then I recommend Everest on 41st and Western.

I had the lunch buffet here. There was a wide variety of items, and everything was very good. The curry chicken and vegetable samosa were my favorites. They bring naan bread to the table for you, and it was top notch, too. I'll definitely be going back!

Today was my first time eating here... My friend and I went for their lunch buffet. While the selection was a bit limited, all of the items we tried were outstanding! Went for the first time last night and it was a great experience. Food was great, and owners are great. They truly want to provide a memorable experience for their guests and it shows with their hospitality. Great place to not only eat incredible food, but to learn about the Indian culture.

An excellent dining experience to finish an excellent first visit Sioux Falls. I came in late and ordered something the kitchen had run out of. The person who took my order actually left the restaurant to get the missing ingredient! I will definitely be back for both the food and the service. Buffet was great! 4/16/19 Update: Went in and ordered from the menu today, and it was so fantastic. Naan was balanced chewy and crispy. Chicken Tikka Masala was to die for and the Malai Tikka was crazy flavorful, too. If you enjoy Indian food, you must visit Himalayan Indian Cuisine!

Wasn’t looking forward to eating here since I am not crazy about curry, but I left craving more. We had wonderful, friendly service, the prices were reasonable for portion sizes, and our variety of appetizers and entrees were delicious. I highly recommend the Mango Chicken and Naan bread. It’s to die for! Also, were told they will soon be extending their hours, and open 7 days per week. Will definitely be returning; just not for curry.

I know today was the Grand Opening, I get that part.....but.....here we go. We were there for an hour and a forty five minutes. We never got to eat dinner. What we did get was doughy garlic naan, very bland, we threw some salt to give it some life. Next we got cold samosas. We sent them back, and got chicken pagoda that was way over salted. Finaly , the samosa came back, so greasy we had to toss the dough to the side. We had to ask for water, one was clear the other water complete fog, I dare not drink it. No silverware, no napkins. I know they just opened, I really do get that part of it. It was just VERY disappointing. I've been waiting for this restaurant to open. I am a HUGE fan of Indian cuisine and it was exciting to have a place like this open near our home. Maybe the buffet is good, I cannot say. And i wish, I really wish i could tell you the food was great, but again, we never got the chance to eat dinner. I'm going to give them a month and we will try again. However, next time, we will just call in an order.

Room for improvement, but not bad. First time out to this place. Service was a little slow and unorganized. After we received our food no one stopped by our table to check how things were or if our food was ok. We never received one of our items which I believe went to the table next to us causing a lot of confusion. On the plus side the food itself was flavored well and was pretty good. They are new but I hope they improve! I will be back in hopes that they polish this gem. Service-5 Price- little spendy (figure 17 per person) Food - 7 Atmosphere - 6

Worst food ever, and the customer service sucks!!I will give them a ZERO star if I can. I just have one question, they gave us the naan frst and when asked why they didnt bring the curry, the manager said they always give the naan without the curry and thats how every restaurent does it, which is definitely not true. Manager said he doesnt care even if we leave without getting our food, and the white customers are being served with respect, indians facing rascism at the hands of other indians, I will end with word- HORRIBLE. Food - BAD Service - WORST RACISM - 100%

The website says it has dinner buffet, prepared for that. Called for the time and I was told that there is no dinner buffet. So why write in the website??!! Went for the lunch buffet, unorganized service. They were out of Raita an hour before 2.30. When asked for naan for the second time, it was not very welcomed (they provided though). Food taste was ordinary, with ordinary options. Absolute disappointment.

First- The people were great and my waiter gave me some nice tips on things I've never tried. Second- The selection of food was great, many things I've hadn't seen. Third, and most important- Food was tasty and I was so full when I left I could hardly move. Also, it came out timely. Fourth- For all you one star people, I just don't see what you are talking about. Maybe stick with your fast food burgers.

Hungry and just happened upon it, didn't know it existed but very happy we stopped! Our food was super flavorful and delicious. We tried bone-in goat for the first time and the meal was great (I guess I expected gamey like goat cheese) but my assumptions were wrong. Get medium spicy at first then see from there. We had goat curry, paneer kadai with its amazing cheese, and dumplings. All amazing, will be back very soon to try more entrees and hopefully dessert if we have room!

Very good lunch buffet. It's not quite as large as the Shahi palace, however they had a couple of items there I haven't had at other buffets I've visited, and they had a cheesy orange chicken there that had an amazing subtle cheesy flavor that I'll probably go back for again. They also have actual napkins there. I never liked using those cloth napkins the Shahi palace gives you.. I like that they use napkins.

Tbh I went here cause a friend wanted too and didn't know what to expect. I read the reviews at work and was already hyped for the pure ruthlessness that was the owner responses to the one star reviews. Like honestly, y'all got rekt. And it was amazing. When we got there our waiter helped us choose out what we wanted to eat and even offered up suggestions. The food there is amazing and don't let anyone tell you any different. Try it at least once cause it's definitely worth it.

Not fresh, the vegetables were from frozen and mushy. Sauce was only ok. Another customer had a problem and the staff was very rude then proceeded to tell us about it. Terrible customer service.

Amazing food and environment! Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. Great for work lunches, dinner dates, and more. The lunch buffet is delicious and allows you to try out many different dishes. Carry out is fast and the staff pays close attention to what you order and are very kind. If you haven’t tried this place yet, check it out ASAP!
