Look people... They have a load of dedicated Vegan options on their main menu. And holy snap they are so yummy. I will say though once I ordered some burger that was stated as an impossible burger. It was not, it was a black bean sort of veggie burger. So that was disappointing but it was still good.

Really enjoy half price sushi Mondays! One of the best options is the King Kong roll. They also have a few of the apps half priced on Mondays. Staff is friendly and take good care of you.

Food was ok, but the real issue was service! Staff was friendly, but they must have been overwhelmed or under-staffed during my visit. This place has great overall potential and likely rightfully very popular. Better service would have taken this review to 5 stars. Again, staff was friendly when engaged, but didn't check on the table.

Two starters, two cocktails and two entrees (1of which was actually chosen from the starters menu) for $75 not including the tip. That's a little pricey but it was a celebration dinner so I planned on a bit of a splurge. BUT, the service was average - one of starters didn't come right away and the server blamed the kitchen...however when we did get the parmesan fries they were lukewarm. They are probably good if served hot. The California roll was bland, the soy sauce very salty but not rich tasting. I had the Seafood Paella which was also bland and greasy - pooling in the plate greasy. The shrimp was good, the sausage and chicken while spicy lacked any depth of flavor. Quite sure the risotto was microwaved as it had very hot and cool spots. Overall, not too impressed.

Crave American Kitchen & Sushi Bar, 201 E 8th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103 is a very good place for Food in Downtown Sioux Falls. They have very good variety of Sushi. Quality of service is good. Seating is also good with some tables and some booths. Food prices are little more but it is expected from this type of restaurant.

Overall fair experience at best. Had to wait 15 minutes for the trendy bartender / manager clean glasses and only make drinks for the certain people while ignoring others. The regular bar tender was personable and friendly. Once you got a drink, the pours were small and weak to say the least. Ordered sushi. Rolls were large, but were priced a little higher than they should have been. Will try outside patio next time. Didn't notice till after I was done. Not offered to sit inside or out by host when I walked in.

Just ate there today. The food was made well, but horrible service!! The drink took a long time to get in also asked if they could leave the red chillies off because it would be too spicy and the waiter said they could. When it came it had red chilli flakes all on it. The waiter barely checked on us. When I told him that I didn't want the meal because it was too spicy he said that he was sorry and I could order something else, but that it would take a while to make.My husband and I decided to share a piece of coconut cake instead. We waited for 15 minutes to get it. The person who brought the desert was very sorry, and did tell us they wouldn't charge us because it took so long, but when the waiter brought the bill he had charged us for the meal that was sent back. After talking with the waiter, they willingly did not charge us for the meal that was sent back, or the desert. The food we could eat was very good, but we had gotten there to eat at 1:15 and didn't leave until 3:30!!! There weren't even hardly any customers there!! I suggest never to go there!!

I'm a huge fan of CRAVE and always have excellent food, drinks, and service when I visit. I love the patio along the bike trail and the outdoor bar is a fun spot for some summer day drinks. Last time I ate here a few weeks ago I had the Tropical Poke Bowl and my boyfriend had the Filet Mignon and we both agreed that they were the best Poke Bowl and Filet Mignon we have ever had at a restaurant. He had some fish tacos as an appetizer and said they were awesome. The drinks were awesome too... I had a seasonal cocktail (I think it was a Mail Tai) and he had a Bloody Mary and both were super good.

Seems like a diamond in the rough once you're seated on the patio -- not at all what I expected, and that's that's a very good thing. You park in a very industrial area, walk through a hotel, and find a great new restaurant. Nice views, great ambiance and service. The burger I ordered was cooked perfectly and had a great balance of flavor. My wife's salad was also fresh and filling. Good place for a romantic dinner or to meet with friends.

Went to Crave last night. Food was EXCELLENT! Service (we had Laura), was TERRIBLE! Took forever to ask for drink orders, food orders, Hope you weren't thirsty for water because those didn't get filled very quickly at all. The specialty drinks we ordered it seemed when we weren't looking she cleared the glass from the table when there was still a third of the drink left! Other glasses she seemed to ignore completely even though they had been empty in excess of 20 minutes! Long story short, food was great, service was very poor, food delivery was very slow, for a $300 bill between 3 couples.... I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

LOVE this place! I like that there’s a little bit of something for everybody. The Sushi however is my favorite. Definitely try the bamboo bites. I will say though, it’s a bit pricey compared to other restaurants with similar dishes.

Everyone in our group was happy with their meal. NY strip steak done as ordered. Lamb chops were done perfectly. Wife said they were the best she has had in SF. Salmon was done perfectly the skin was crisp and tasty. The service was slow so reason for only 4 star but the food was worth the wait. Will eat there again.

A bad experience from the start. The lazy, young hosts at the front had no interest in doing their jobs. Not friendly and completely forgot about seating us. The bartender acted like his job was a nuisance. Unfriendly and rude. We were incredibly unimpressed from the start. I expect more from a place like this. The only thing that saved the experience was really good food and an excellent server who was very friendly and attentive.

Horrible, horrible service! We had to wait over an hour just for our drinks, then 2 hours for our food. Don't even think about getting your water refilled or a second drink order, because it won't happen. This place can not handle a half full restaurant. Very sad.

I was excited cuz I had heard they had good vegan options. Then we get there and you can only do the buffet (it's Easter, I get it) and my options are lettuce, (no dressing) potatoes, potatoes, fries, and rice with no sauces besides soy sauce. Kinda a let down.

Upscale yet casual dining. They have a fantastic sushi menu as well as a unique American menu. I was visiting from out of town so I ate here twice. I had a fabulous pumpkin ravioli. I also had some chicken avocado egg rolls that I loved! I tried the flirty Martini which had prosciutto and blue cheese stuffed olives. It was delicious, but very rich. Another entree offering was build a bowl. I had a fantastic basmati rice and chicken combo. If you have room, treat yourself to the mini chocolate mousse; to die for. The staff was attentive, friendly and fun. Treat yourself if you're ever in the area.

One of my favorite places in Sioux Falls to eat! Great food and good atmosphere with a river view. The Godzilla and Mexican sushi rolls are my go-to's but I have also had the fish tacos, which were also good. I would warn that, although the patio has the view, it can get a bit warm at times. This is due to facing southwest, minimal shade, and glass panels that block any breeze that is present.

Stayed at the hotel next door and was told to check out this connected restaurant. What a nice surprise Crave is an upscale bistro with a great menu. I had the soup of the day creamy asparagus soup which was very good. I decided on the lamb burger as I liked the concept. It had some Asian spices and was served in a naan bread. It was by far the best lamb burger I have ever had, just the right amount of heat and a complex melody of flavors including cumin, fennel, pico de Gallo and Greek yogurt. 10 craft beers on tap and large ice cube for the nightcap cocktails. The restaurant is located on the Missouri river and has a nice patio. Will try and return in the summer. Definitely worth a visit.

The best sushi I’ve had, and I’ve eaten a lot of sushi! Better than the rolls I’ve had in Seattle, Denver or Portland, how is that possible?? Great selection of quality upscale food. We manage to spend around $80 on 2 meals a dessert and one drink, so it’s not an everyday place for us. I would recommend this place to family, friends and strangers. We will have to visit the city again to eat here

My mom, sister, and i ate lunch here today. We had an Aloha sushi roll, which was yummy. I had the traditional poke bowl, my mom had the tuna crisp flatbread, and my sister had the chicken sandwich with brie and apples and a couscous salad. It was all good. Nothing special, but satisfying!

Crave is very hit or miss food-wise. The nachos are good, the burgers are fairly mediocre (the bun is too big and dry to be good), steak is sometimes great sometimes luke warm, same with the fries. The restaurant hosted a group of 18 women's basketball players and did a phenomenal job! Service was prompt and friendly and the food was amazing, from the baked mac and cheese to the chicken stir fry to the cheeseburger. Highly recommend!

Birthday dinner disappointment. Reservation on Open Table for 8. Got seated 8:20. By 8:45, all we had was water and bread that we had to beg the waiter for since our wine selection #1 and #2 was out (I had to tell the waiter he had the wrong #2 before he opened it). Finally asked for a manager which took another 10 minutes. Explained it was my wife's birthday and our wait. Got a bottle of Chard (our #3 pick) and proceeded to try to sell us on their loyalty rewards program. I was thinking, "I was barely able to keep my wife there to eat this meal. Do you think we are coming back?" Food was good, but service was so poor we won't be back.

My absolute favorite place to eat in all of of Sioux Falls!!! The sushi was beyond amazing! I actually went to Nobu (that super fancy crazy expensive place) about one week after and I got to say, i liked Crave alot better! The mahi mahi tacos were perfect. On par with anything Ive had down in South Florida or Hawaii. I know i'll be coming here twice a month when i travel through FSD. I actually already have my next visit planned out a week in advance!

As a Experienced sushi eater we found the food to be up there with some of the bigger cities in the Pacific northwest. Food was very good, service good could have been little better. We had new server that was still learning but did take the time for us. Prices for right on for the food we got. "If" we ever come back to south Dakota I'm sure we will bistro again.

Walk in a little after 4, was asked if a high top would be ok cause it was happy hour. Sure, was given dinner menus, read from cover to cover. After about 20 minutes the couple next to us left . We waited another 10 minutes, went back to the host stand to ask if we could be reseated somewhere where we could be waited on. We were advised all the tables were reserved. Which was probably true since our orginal table had a reserved sign. Very rude staff, PLENTY of empty tables. Very disappointed!!!

What a great stop on our trip! Delicious vegetarian sushi. We ordered a bowl as well but they forgot the grain element we selected and when they brought it to us after we asked, it was incorrect. However it was still delicious. A little pricey but the environment / ambiance is nice and a pre or post dinner walk on the riverwalk is wonderful. Also they have a little section on the drinks menu for virgin cocktails and the cucumber ginger beer one is delicious!

It is possible I was there on a particularly bad night, but the food was unimpressive at best, and definitely not worth the $20+ per meal. Poke bowl was excellent. Tira misu yummy n inexpensive. Had mussels, bacon n brussel sprouts the following day. Good amount of food for the price, very large servings (even the appetizers have enough food to easily feed 2 people or have leftovers). Leftover n delivery containers are sturdy enough to hold mussels n sauce plus microwaveable, reusable and dishwasher safe. I very much appreciate this added security with my Togo n delivery orders via Grubhub's easy portal. Easy pickup order placed online. Very pleased indeed!

Went for a birthday dinner and it was great! I'm not a fan of sushi, but everyone else said it was delicious. The chicken stir fry was super good as well as the baked crab & artichoke dip! Highly recommend both. They were pretty busy so it took a little time to get the order, but it was worth the wait! The portions were on the smaller side being a fancier place. We finished the night with a brownie topped with ice cream and whipping that had a sparkler on top!

This is a pretty nice restaurant, I'm not a huge fan of the steak that they booked, but the other food they have is really good. Would recommend if you're looking for a nice place to eat. There is some beautifully scenery around the restaurant as it's right by the river. Because of that it has a pretty nice patio to sit on and enjoy your meal or a drink.

We had a good experience here. The food was excellent, my steak was cooked perfectly. Really good sushi too. A little on the spendy side, but good for a special night out. The only downside was a crabby server which was a little bit of a distraction.

Ate on a Tuesday night. Long waits after seated for drinks then appetizers. Several of our table's orders were incorrect and two had to send their medium well steaks back as they were bloody raw. The appetizers were good as was my salmon, but most of our party felt it was just "so so". Very attractive atmosphere, crisp clear lines, fun architecture. However, the seating felt very open and exposed. Perhaps some dividers or natural barriers would help. Staff was very friendly and corrected issues with steaks but overall it made it a below average experience for a restaurant of what should have been a higher caliber. Desserts menu's descriptions misled a few as well, would benefit if they had a dessert cart or photos of each of their offerings.

Very slow when we went and my order was all wrong and when I mentioned it to the waitress she said she would check but never came back to correct my order. Then I got double charged for the meal I ordered (which I never got) and the meal that was brought to me. Not sure if I'd go back.

Loved it! The sushi was delicious and our red headed waitress was awesome! She taught us a few things about traditional oriental practices and the hot washcloth which they are using as a symbolic rendition of the white curtains tradition. It was fun!

We came with a group of 5 people for dinner on a Thursday night. Weather wasn't great, but that just great but that just meant everyone went out for dinner. We had reservations, so we were seated right away. I ordered steak, shrimp skewer with Brussels sprouts and chessy hash browns. The it hash browns are not overly tasty, and the first time they came out cold in the middle. Steak and shrimp were delicious, but a little expensive if I was to choose again. Honestly my co-workers burger with the runny egg on top looked much tastier.

I have ordered sushi from Crave quite a few times... I just gotta say that it is AMAZING. The only roll I didnt like was the King Kong roll. My top 2 favorites are the Volcano Roll & The Crunchy Roll. I've heard around town that the prices are high but you get what you pay for & I've paid for nothing but quality A+++ on quality, flavor, & appearance!

Went for a birthday dinner and it was great! I'm not a fan of sushi, but everyone else said it was delicious. The chicken stir fry was super good as well as the baked crab & artichoke dip! Highly recommend both. They were pretty busy so it took a little time to get the order, but it was worth the wait! The portions were on the smaller side being a fancier place. We finished the night with a brownie topped with ice cream and whipping that had a sparkler on top!

This is becoming one of my very favorite places to eat. The food is always amazing. Fantastic. The Sushi is great. The lamb burger is out of this world. The calamary is very tasty (never chewy). I've eaten here several times. On Mondays they have a Sushi roll special, 3 for $30. I cant say enough about the food at Crave. Always consistent and always great. I already reviewed this restaurant once before. The service used to be mediocre at best which really killed the vibe of the place. BUT, we were just there on Monday yesterday and the service was exceptional. So good that i deleted my first review and i'm submititng this one instead. From the hostess to my server. I think they finally got it right. If they maintain the level of service, this restaurant should be around for many years to come. P.S. just had their mother's day brunch at Crave. OMG, it was worth every penny. $30/person. I would've paid double that easily. Everything your heart and tatse buds desire.

Wait staff was sub-par for the price point of the food. Took a long time to get our food and we were there after the lunch crowd. I watched a couple move to three different spots trying to get waited on. Food was good once it arrived. I made eye contact with 8 employees upon leaving and not one of them thanked me or said good bye.

The sushi left much to be desired, especially for being one of their main points of advertising. The flavor was bland at best, the soy sauce was too overpowering to be enjoyable, (which was a shame because that was the only chance it had at being bearable) and each and every roll fell apart between my chopsticks. I went with a friend, and they ordered the ribeye. Didn't even get through 1/2 of his meal by the time I finished mine because he hated it. Could have just been a bad day in the kitchen, but a good restaurant should be consistent throughout their day, every day. However, the service was great, and they even put TVs in front of the urinals so you don't miss the big game while you're taking a piss. For that, I rate this 2 stars. Much room for improvement.

Busy, noisy place located inside a hotel. Not bad, but not amazing. Had the seafood paella which had little relation to a real paella but it was tasty. My dining partner had the Argentine Steak which was good, but not great for the price point. Drinks were strong and the waiter was very friendly. The location is very nice and it would be a nice place for drinks in the patio when the weather improves.
