Atmosphere seemed nice but, service poor, food was pretty bad. Medium well steak was pretty pink, potatoes Luke warm(tasted like warm wax) , chicken fried steak crusty and tough, plastic silverware. Was discounted 10% but only could eat half my food. Don't bother.

Not even sure they deserve 1 star! 9 of us stopped in on a Monday night at 8:00 or so. We were almost the only table in the place ... one person in our party left his Under Armour jacket on the back of his chair when we left. Checked back the next day and was told by the manager that our server had taken it home! Stopped in the next day and server said he left it at the restaurant. Our friend told them he didn't care how the jacket made it back but as long as it did, no questions asked. Big surprise ... jacket never showed up the next day! These people are obviously liars. I would never ever recommend this place nor would I ever go back!I

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, sandwiches are great. Small towns can sometimes have issues with staffing during busy times. I suspect that is what has happened during the times when the reviews were less than stellar. Also, places are known for different menu items. Never been disappointed with a sandwich here.

The staff was quick to help and very friendly, even on the busiest day. Service was fast and the food was delicious! The Hot Beef and garlic potatoes is worth another visit and order. They also have roof top access and seating, so you can enjoy some people watching, and motorcycle watching during Sturgis week! Write your name on the wall while your're there.

This is not a white linen 5 star restaurant. That said, I base my reviews on the level of service and the quality of the food for the price point and rate accordingly. We ordered the beef brisket sandwich - wow was that good! It was loaded with tender and very tasty brisket. We thought the quality of food was excellent for the price point.

My husband and I stopped in after a long day riding through the Black Hills. When we arrived the place was packed with just a few empty tables. We wanted to sit at a table next to the window which had not been cleaned yet. Our waitress (Tiffany) came over immediately and apologized that the table had not been cleared first. She was extremely nice and efficient the entire evening. Even though the place was full and she was serving half the tables in the restaurant, she kept up her good spirits. Tiffany kept coming by to check if everything was ok. Not only was the service great but the food was delicious as well. We recommend this place and will definitely go back.

Terrible service. Way too crowded. Worst of all the food was miserably disgusting. I stomached one bite and paid for it for hours afterward. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. My $63 (two adults, two kids) would have been far better spent elsewhere. Horrible.

Food was good service was good but I should have been concerned... the waitresses and staff were bundled up like it was Alaska in February. It was a cold rainy day and I think they had their thermometer was set to "freeze customer to Death" setting. We shivered for over an hour and took turns going outside to warm up. the waiter told us that it was always like that and amazingly the only apparel they sold with sweatshirts.

Hello from Wisconsin! We visited during their season opening day May 1! Trudged through the snow to visit downtown and was happy this place was open. The brisket was mouthwatering-ingly amazing! So was the special of the day: 1/3 lb Buffalo Burger cooked medium! Drank Cloud Catcher IPA and Miner Cream Ale. Amazing place, amazing beers, phenomenal food! Thanks for making our visit from Milwaukee great.

So - my family ordered a huge Togo order - almost 100 bucks and they forgot a burger- made us pay for it and we had to go back to get it. Then we thought we would give them another chance and sat on the patio which is upstairs- nice view - server was polite but she had told a person in my group that the sandwich of the day was chicken salad- it came out egg salad- so she said no thank you I’ll take a BLT because they SHOULD hardly take any time right? Wrong. Thirty five minutes it took for that BLT and the manager came over and was not very friendly - took off 10 percent and acted like that was some big deal. Server could have made it right but she was not attentive after she knew we were waiting so long. Needless to say she sat there while we all ate. Poorly ran- we usually enjoy this place but there’s always something wrong with the service.

From the moment we walked in, the waitress rolled her eyes and did a sigh. Tried to make small talk with her but all she said was she'd been there since 9am and wanted to go home and she was tired of people. She took forever to come and take our order but it wasn't too busy. The food was much better than the service. The place had a good atmosphere, but the waitress, well her tip was a dollar.

A must stop on our annual trip from Sioux Falls. My brisket sandwich was awesome. So tender with a yummy horseradish sauce. Others in our party had the hot beef sandwich and the roast beef dinner. Very tender and so much food!! Great server wish I remembered her name. Highly recommend the Bumpin Buffalo!!!

Food is EXTREMELY FRESH! Tiffany, Michelle, Doug and all the employees are absolutely amazing. They take care of you. You won’t leave hungry and well worth your money. You’ll walk out full and with a smile! Everything is perfect. If you have food allergies they will accommodate. I highly recommend.

Service was excellent. I had the ultra burger and they readily swapped the bleu cheese for ranch dressing. Burger and the sausage on it were both excellent, however the bun was not toasted making it cold and dry. Overall everyone in my family enjoyed and got their fill.

Nothing wrong with the food. I give a 2 based on the service. Got the initial order started then never hardly ever saw server again. We sat with empty beverages for a long time. We waited over 15 minutes for her to come back to get our tickets to get going. Once got our tickets we waited another 10 minutes as she couldn't figure out who had what after I helped her in the beganing to get everyone lined out by their tickets. Then even when went to cash out we had to go down stairs to her and still help her. The atmosphere/upstairs patio etc are all nice and fun place Togo. Fix the service and I'll fix the rating.

Disappointing. Long wait for food, poor service, and food quality unpredictable. Was there twice this last week as I heard the food was great. The first time was for supper and when we got there it was a long wait but when we finally got it in it took forever again to get waited on. When we did we had the mac ‘n cheese bites (which were super delicious) for apps and when our order finally did come the food was great. So we did go back again but this time was for lunch, no wait at door buy we waited for our food for more than an hour with two hungry kids! Actually our whole area on the roof was complaining because it took forever. Finally management came to confess that the orders didnt get to the kitchen and when they did it was all out of order, so some people had to wait an hour and a half and some about an hour.. what a mess! Then they only discounted the bill a few bucks. I guess we should of complained more because other families finally argued until their food was free. It was absolutely rediculous. Then when we did get the food, it wasn’t that great this time, so we decided to not come back, which was disappointing because it’s a great atmosphere. We had much better luck at the bar across the street.

Went here and ate outside on the roof top deck. The waiter was very friendly and went the extra mile to get to know us. He was a very nice waiter and worked hard to take care of us. We ordered a beer, nachos and some wings. The nachos were disappointing. It was nacho cheese sauce from a can and the cheese was only on the top layer of chips. The wings were a little better, I had the Zing sauce which was very tasty and had just enough bite to make it noticeable. The challenge was there was not enough sauce to even cover all the wings or they were not tossed well. I had three that did not have any sauce on them. I was not a big fan of the food but the staff was great.

That poor, poor buffalo died for that? After a colossal wait (1 hour +), our burnt and overcooked food arrived. Buffalo burger was served wildly burnt and on a burnt bun that was hard as a rock (it could have been a weapon). Their $25 specialty buffalo sirloin that I ordered medium rare was served way beyond well done and was served with a terrible array of overcooked sad-looking corn on the cob and a forlorn dinner salad. The atmosphere looks good and makes a good first impression, but the terrible service and awful food should make you go elsewhere. Yuck.

The place is really good for a bite to eat after you take a hike to see the town. Their lunch menu was basically burgers and sandwiches but they also serve breakfast and dinner. I would suggest getting an angus burger with fries. I love the way they batter their fries.

Disappointed! Our food took over an hour to come and then my brisket was cold!! Server took it back and microwaved it. Still cold! Was told I should keep it was she just took a large order and it would really be a while!? I finally just ordered a salad so I could eat something. We were there over 2 hours!! Fantastic service and atmosphere, and good food. Our waiter handled a kitchen problem with the perfect fix (another round!). Eat up on the roof and listen to the train. Riblets, chislic, and chicken were great. The brisket was a little tough, it needed a little more time in the smoker. Definitely worth a visit.
