Always a great place to get almost home cooked meals. Our waiter was nice and courteous. I like the variety of meat choices and vegetables. You can get a meat and two or a meat and three or a veggie plate. I love their home made rolls and corn muffins. Definitely family friendly. Will go there again

Had the 2 chicken legs, Mac n cheese, and cabbage.. the chicken was not fully cooked (I think that it was due to it being large) but everything else was good..I gave 1 star because under cooked chicken can make a person sick..I couldn't eat it.

The best home cooking! The fried chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, and the sweet potatoes are the best. They have an express buffet line or can order off menu. Great for take out. Always try the banana pudding or strawberry shortcake. This is the best meat & veggie place to eat at in the Spartanburg area. The yeast rolls are delicious when they are hot and fresh. Im not sure how they make them but you will not find any others like theirs! A Must Go

The food was so good. Southern cooking at its finest. Our server was very nice and attentive. We had friends with us from out west. They enjoyed every bite. As did the rest of us. They have meat loaf, chicken pot pie, chopped steak. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, potato salad and more. If only we had room for dessert. We have been before and will definitely go back. Nothing like a great meal with great friends and family.

Love love love this place! If you're wanting some delicious home cooked southern food, Wade's is the place to go. My favorite is the stew beef over rice, mac and cheese and apple cobbler. My husband LOVES their fried chicken. We go here regularly. Great prices and very friendly staff.

Awesome Southern cooking at it's best! Tasty fried chicken & side vegetable dishes that even make a vegetarian smile! Dessert, oh you've gotta leave room for that, or at least get some to go. Prices are very reasonable. We sat in the sit down area and the wait staff was super! Definitely a return visit is in order

Wonderful southern homestyle cooking! The place to go for a good satisfying meal. The service was great, the atmosphere has a cafeteria style feel. I believe at certain times they have what they call express dining. We did not experience that. I believe Wades is a Spartanburg Institution!

Comfort food, great service, good prices. We both had the chicken with stuffing (or dressing depending on where you're from), with gravy on top, although it needed more gravy. We opted for the cranberry sauce because, well... c'mon... it's cranberry sauce and stuffing. We also had the apple cobbler which reminded us, in a very good way, of the desert you get in a TV dinner. Very good. My wife had the green beans, while I opted for the cream corn. OMGoodness. Both were excellent. We will definitely stop back here again when we're in the area.

Wade's restaurant is institution in Spartanburg. It is a comfort food family friendly atmosphere with as close to homemade food as you can get and a high production atmosphere. I recommend whatever they have on special the day you go.

We went to the express line. The fried chicken was full of flavor and juicy! The line on Sunday afternoon was crazy. Be prepared to stand in the sun. We stood in line about 40 minutes. The service was good even though it was crowded.

Wade's is a Spartanburg mainstay, from the quirky billboards around town to the lovingly prepared foods, it should not be missed. Drawbacks: 1) Some items are not available on one side of the restaurant than on the other without incurring a "transportation charge" to carry them from one side to the other, 2) dessert options are quite limited (maybe an egg custard pie and a gluten-free option could be included). Overall, a delicious meat-and-three.

You really can't beat Wade's. I drive from Greenville once a week to eat there, and here's why: 1. Consistent - the food is >>always<< perfectly cooked, tastes the same and comes out quickly. 2. Great service - the wait staff are always efficient and very friendly (many of them have been working there for years, which says something about the company), my tea never goes below half empty. 3. The bread: their yeast rolls are both delicious and unique and their cornbread is my favorite of any restaurant (tip: ask for "real butter" and let it sit and melt in the cornbread for a few minutes.) 4. Desserts - if I got one of their fantastic desserts every time I went I'd weigh 300 lbs, but when I do get one it's homemade and taste like a grandma made it in the back kitchen. Their peach cobbler is the best I've had. Their pecan pie is the best I've had. Their peanut butter pie is the best I've had. I'm a fussy foodie and have never had a complaint. In fact, we went to Ruth's Chris recently and I said "I hate to say it but I liked my meal at Wade's better." My tab for 2 at Wade's is typically $20ish and my tab at Ruth's Chris was $150.00.

I'm glad my wife called our order in, this place had a line out the door and down the sidewalk. A typical Sunday. Very good home cooking, still hot after the 20 minute drive home. I had the meatloaf with Mac n cheese, corn and potatoes and gravy, my wife had the veggie plate and my son had the breast and leg. Everything was delicious except for the cornbread. Wade's is famous for their rolls but the cornbread not so much. Still warrants a 5 star rating. Thanks for a great meal.

Just learned recently about this Restaurant I've eaten here twice in a week, my husband & l traveled from Taylor's SC to experience the best homemade food I have ever had at a Restaurant. The waitress Brittany is stellar with always a smile & has such a sweet personality, we loved her! Tonight, Samantha waited on us & she was excellent at her job & just was a delight to talk to. I am so excited to have discover this gem of a Restaurant in Spartanburg!!! We also met Wade, & he took the time to talk to us as he began to help clear another table, this meant so much to us, as you don't find this friendly atmosphere & workers at too many places. Great job!
