My wife has a Gluten allergy and Villa Romana offers a full Gluten free menu. Plus all their dishes are so delicious. Being from North Jersey it is so hard finding a good Italian meal in this area. Villa Romana is an excellent restaurant.

As a transplant from the Northeast, I am used to authentic Italian restaurants. This has been the best so far! Four of us dined on Sunday September 30 and all of us loved the food and the service. This is not a pizzeria type restaurant, but one with table cloths and a wine list. At the same time it is family friendly and prices are reasonable. There are also frequently coupons to be found in the local coupon books or mailings. I highly recommend this restaurant if your looking for real Italian cuisine.

We visited Villa Romana with our granddaughter while vacationing. We all loved our food and the service was outstanding. While it has the look and taste of a higher end restaurant, we felt very relaxed and comfortable in our casual attire. We went back for a second time two days later, as we struggled to find a second good quality restaurant near our hotel. Our waiters Mark and Jesse were superb, each in their own way. The owner, didn't catch her name, was extremely kind and welcoming. She even recognized us right away on our second visit, remembering to bring granddaughter a teaspoon for her spaghetti. I can't say enough about how happy we were to find such a nice place for dinner, thank you.

Chose this place because of the great reviews. Great local place serving tourists and locals. Everything here was AMAZING! The service made us feel very special. The wine selection....mama mia... so good. Ripasso Superiore went so well with our meals. Everything fresh, housemade, cooked to perfection. Even the pasta is from scratch. So yum! And the ambiance - it was perfetto!! Accordian player with a great sense of humor and great variety of music. Lots of Italian love songs, a little Phantom. Overall, fantastic experience. Wish this place were in my hometown!

This place is unbelievable. The food was outstanding! The gnocchi was perfect as was the service from Sandy. One of the owners visited our table to check up on is, very nice fella. The gentleman on the accordion was absolutely, mind bogglingly good at his craft. I can't say enough good things about this place. Definitely check it out!

What a local gem!!! Can not believe we have taken so long to try this restaurant. Our friends ordered the Gnocchi of Potato Alla Romana and were extremely impressed. Everything authentic and made from scratch. The chef came out to the tables to check on the dining, which added to our experience, explaining how he prepared our dishes. A wonderful touch. Highly recommend!

Everyone needs to eat here! True Italian food, great atmosphere, and I didnt want to leave. I would eat here every night if I could. Our waiter made a suggestion for the Veal Caesar and it was absolutely out of this world. My husband is not a huge Italian food fan and he gives it 5 stars. I have never eaten such good authentic Italian food before and it puts the Italian restaurants back home in Columbus Ohio to shame. I cant say enough good about this place and if we ever come back to Myrlte Beach I am definitely coming back!

Was here years ago - Probably at least 20. BUT...best Italian food I've ever had. Just like my mom used to make. I would have to say it was 1995 when I was last there. There was a little old lady that I was told was one of the owners. It was her birthday and she visited every table. They were doing the tarantella dance. This has to be the best restaurant anywhere on the planet. The food was out of the world good. We had played golf and got drenched in the rain. It was a little cool the day we played. When we told the lady that, she had them bring us more of the Italian wedding soup. It was like mom wanted to warm us up. There is no way that soup could possibly be any better. I had the parm sampler. Chicken - Veal and Shrimp. Jeez a lou - I could write for hours about this place. If you are ever in MD - GO TO THIS RESTAURANT - the best of everything EVER!!!!! 100 stars wouldn't be enough!!!

My family had a wonderful experience here for dinner. The food was plentiful and the atmosphere was wonderful. The accordion player came to our table and had my daughter in stitches making noises on the accordion. The chef even came to our table to chat with us (there was a large group of us). Highly recommend but show up early for dinner or expect a wait as it's very popular.

The best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Each meal comes with a bruschetta appetizer, soup, and salad. Try the Fettuccini Alfredo, you’ll that yourself later. Everything start to finish with this place was absolutely amazing. Also, it’s barely more expensive than Olive Garden but so worth it.

If I could give more stars I would. We visited Villa Romana while on our Honeymoon. The food is authentic Italian food! Go hungry because you get so much food! It is a 4 course meal. When we were finishing up the owner stopped by the table. She was the sweetest and just talking to her you feel the love and pride for her restaurant! We will definitely be going again!

Had the great pleasure of dining here and experiencing all the great things this wonderful restaurant has to offer. Elizabeth was an absolute wonder to have and served us to a whole new level. She definitely raised the bar when it comes to customer service; it was a complete and utter delight to be taken care of by such attentive staff. The gnocchi is completely authentic and light, and the sauce is phenomenal. Everything on the menu is desirable even after you’re stuffed! The wine list? Exemplary. I’ll most definitely be coming back as soon as I can.

Great place to have a calm and sane experience in a tourist place. The live music, well prepared food and calming atmosphere was a welcome change from the usual food options. The Frutti di Mare was prepared spot on with each kind of seafood done exactly right and the Veal Absolut was excellent. The meal includes bread, soup, pasta, salad and brushetta as a starter so no need for an appetizer, and dessert...only if you did not eat anything else. My personal preference would have put more forward flavors in the marinara and more semolina in the homemade pasta but definitely a place for well prepared dishes. Courses are paced well and the place was full for a Tuesday evening at the end of the season

This restaurant is not overrated at #4. We have been there 4 times and each time is consistently excellent. We always get Rincardo’s creation which is row chicken breast stuffed with spinach Florentine and topped with an orange cream sauce. Unbelievable! And since it is his creation you can only get it here. Service is attentive and not intrusive. There is a nice selection of wines both by the glass and by the bottle Thanks for another great meal

We have been coming here for the last 4 years. Every time we visit Myrtle Beach we always visit Villa Roma. It was our 10th wedding anniversary yesterday so my wife and I visited the restaurant. The staff were pleasant but I felt we were being rushed to order as it was around 8pm and the restaurant closes at 9pm. The food was not as great as its been in the past. I hope it was a one off experience as my wife and I love this place. I hope to come back next year and give it another try. Hopefully the experience will be better.

Maybe I'm living in a hole, but this was some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Very pleased with the meal and the whole experience to be had. The accordion player also played Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" which was an extra treat. Excellent place! Extremely happy with everything.

If you are looking for a classy place... this is it, tje atmosphere makes you think that you are in Rome, statues, fountain, pictures, each table decorated with a fresh rose,super efficient staff and reasonable for the top notch quality. Now for the food, my wife had the stuffed flownder and I just had to have a bite... WOW super fresh, succulant and enough, I had the Shrimp Parmesan and what a dish this was, either 10 or 12 shrimp engulfed with parmesan in a light tomato based sauce, this dish also very delicious. I forgot to mention that we were served fresh baked bread, a cup of soup and with the meal also fresh home made spaghetti side. There was live acordian music also. I highly recommend this establishment

Very special and unexpected gem in heart of Myrtle Beach. Walked to it deom Sea Crest Resort where we stayed. Gnocci is home made. Tasty entrees, wine by glass if you want,. Entrees come with soup and salad. Even desserts we're first rate. Packed at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Not surprised considering food, service and ambience.

Our group of 16 went here this past week and had a great meal. The old fashioned decor is nice, unique. There are plenty of items on the menu to please all guests, although I was hoping for a pizza option! We got there for our 830pm reservation and left around 1030pm without being rushed, even though they were closing. Staff were friendly and quick. I was going between the 4 chicken dishes and she helped me narrow the choices and pick the best for my likes. It was delicious! All non pasta meals come with a salad, spaghetti, bread and your main! Come hungry! All of our party was happy with their meals and we'll return next time we are in MB!

This restaurant was OKAY. I know, I know... there are plenty of "5 star reviews" of this place, but from my experience here (and observation of interactions with other tables), I am beginning to "believe" that either a) the reviews are questionable due to coupons or b) locals are reviewing multiple times under different pseudonyms. Let me explain. The salad had a strange "oil only" dressing which rendered it virtually inedible. The main courses were good (ex: Eggplant Parmesan) but not exceptional or varying from standard Italian fare. But the side spaghetti (served with main courses) was UNDERCOOKED (definitely not al dente)... there is NO EXCUSE for an "authentic" Italian Restaurant to "mess up" spaghetti. #sad As for the reviews, we were literally surrounded by folks that the servers (and a manager/ owner(?)) knew by first names, who were served dishes that looked eerily similar to ours but yet different. For example one female had spaghetti w/ meatballs that "looked different" than what my companion ordered. Not saying that maybe some of the reviewers could be biased, but if "it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..." 3 stars for good service and clean establishment. Otherwise, I rate Olive Garden higher than this local eatery.

This place is wonderful!! I went with a group for dinner and everything was so delicious. Sandy was an excellent server and made great menu recommendations. The table got the zucchini appetizer which I would definitely recommend! I got the eggplant parm which was cooked perfectly and I was given a bite of the veal Caesar and fettuccine alfredo which was all amazing! Our friends just got back from Rome and even they were impressed. We ended the meal with the tartufo and cheesecake. Everything was great and I’m sure anything on their menu would be delicious!

We love veal and had it many times in Connecticut. Moved to NC ten years ago and miss good veal in restaurants. Myrtle Beach vacation found this restaurant. OM Golly! Beautiful interior, friendly, helpful staff. AND everything we are from the bruchetti to the chicken soup to the salad was more than tasty. Than came our Veal Cesar and Veal Marsala with mushrooms not only was a huge portion but also delicious times 3. We are returning for meal number 2. The lady who took our reservation asks which waiter and our choice of tables. We can't wait to try Villa Romana again tomorrow.

An excellent place to dine on New Year's Eve. I began a review at some point yesterday but was called away. My husband and I had a wonderful meal once before on our many trips to Myrtle Beach. It was with a group of people, we had a great time eating and listening to Mike, the roving accordion player adds to the atmosphere in a cool not tacky way. Not only does he play songs one would expect to hear in an Italian restaurant, but also a bit of Pink Floyd ...so for New Year's Eve: we had a reservation for 7:45. Good planning as the line was out the door. Instead of the regular menu, there was a one page menu for the evening. Of course, the full wine menu was available and our server was quite knowledgeable. My lobster ravioli was in a vodka sauce with several shrimp and crab meat. Others at the table had veal, and seafood in a delicate Alfredo sauce. Each meal started with antipasta, a romantic wedding soup. All staff were very attentive and quick as one would expect in a good restaurant. My partners shared a bottle of a red wine, but as a migraine sufferer, I had a bit of a white Zinfandel . Our guest, a local stated that the restaurant always has great food & attentive service every time he's visited.

Since my wife picked this restaurant I was somewhat hesitant. But they did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The fettuccine alfredo with shrimp was like mana from the gods. The shrimp san marzano (?) was divine. Definitely try it. The wait staff was polite, helpful, and quick to refill my glass. Cant say enough good things about this place. As a side note, the parking spaces are tight.

Being from NY, we're a little picky about our Italian food, but this place knocked it out of the park not once, but twice in 2 nights. Our server Chris was excellent, knowledgeable, attentive and almost became a member of our family. The accordion player, Mike D, was great: funny, witty, great w/kids and could play ANYTHING well (from Spanish Eyes to Pink Floyd!). The food? Excellent, we'll prepared, presented, plentiful and AUTHENTICALLY Italian. Sauces? Great! Meats and Pasta? Great! Fish, Clams? Great! Wine and spirits? Top notch! Prices? Fuggettaboutit! For the amount of appetizers, drinks, entrees, desserts; we're used to paying 2 bills. Our first night we came in under $100. The 2nd night we celebrated our 20th anniversary and came in not too much higher. Considering the quality and amount of food/drinks, the place is VERY affordable. Add the quality of service and entertainment, the owners should be proud and we'll definitely be back if in MB again. No place bats 1000, so any bad reviews you see COULD be credible, but I think we all understand the embellishments in bad reviews. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!

While we were waiting the music was so loud that we never heard our name called. When I brought this to the 2 ladies that were handling the guest book...they couldn't have cared less & was even rude when we had to go up to them for a 3rd time. The waitress wiped her nose with her hand while serving our food. Will not be back. Food wasn't the best either.

Best Italian restaurant experience I've had to date. Makes me wish I lived in myrtle beach as there's nothing comparable close to where I live in Tennessee. Service staff was excellent, professional and personable throughout the entire meal. To top it off the owner visited the table and made my wife and daughter feel like family. If that wasn't enough the accordion player visited our table and played songs by request for my 6 year old daughter. Can't wait to come back to Myrtle Beach as we will definitely be go back to this restaurant when we do.

We have never had a bad meal here. If you are a local I would recommend going in the off-season as the wait can get quite long. You can’t go wrong with any of the meals. We especially enjoy talking with the accordion player who performs nightly.
