Food is always good, and there is a wide variety. I prefer to eat early, so the service is also good. Except for the man talking loudly on his cellphone in the bar, it was an enjoyable meal.

Food was good but service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not even busy, since we arrived about 4pm. We had a party of over 6 (7 people) so they automatically added an 18% gratutity. This amount of tip would have been fine if the service was worth it, but unfortunately it was not!

Having lived in the Caribbean for 7 years, conch fritters became one of my favorite things to eat. The palms makes them just like they do in the islands. Great service too.

The palms is great if a bit overpriced. Stick to the burgers and don't get fancy. You might want to drink before or after you eat there because the mixed drinks are weak and overpriced. Blooming onion is their saving grace.

The palms was absolutely horrible for the first time I will probably never go back they had bad service just list there main chef and gave my salad after my steak not before had horrible flabby fries and tried to make it up by giving 4 people 1 piece of cheese cake to share

There are few restaurant choices in Newberry and very few locally owned ,which I always seek out, as is The Palms. I've eaten at Palms for lunch and dinner and have never seen the restaurant unclean. I have on occasion seen manager out front clearing tables, bringing out food, helping at bar when necessary which keeps a good flow when busy. Brenda is a great waitress and when possible I request her. She is knowledgeable of menu and always has been on top of service. Some items are a bit pricey (lunch) but there are usually specials and the food is good with plentiful portions, atmosphere has always been pleasant. The bar area appears tidy, bar is not sticky or gross and stools are comfortable. The restaurant has a nice appearance, the restroom (women's) has always been clean and stocked with soap and paper towels. There are multiple TV screens with varied channels on at a time. I've never had to wait a long time for service nor to get food. Ice tea is always fres- I hate stale or spoiled tea. A lunch favorite of mine is the salad with beef strips, the chicken salad on croissant is also a good choice. The homemade fries are fantastic but I always ask mine to be a bit more crisped which they can easily do upon request, otherwise they serve as "floppy" which is also yummy. I've had dessert twice and both were good.

I was going on a poker run with my dad on a rainy Saturday morning and after an hour of riding we stopped here for a quick bite and the service was delightful and the burger I had was great! I would definitely recommend this place as a great place to eat at.

Our first time eating there today from Johnston SC. Brenda our waitress/ bartender was absolutely awesome and informative about everything. Very clean awesome environment even for late lunch, great food and I was surprised to see they served Natral light . Most places don’t. We will return again

We stumbled on this place passing through the historical town of Newberry, SC. one evening about 9:30 pm. The food and service was great. Had the best fried green BLT sandwich ever...wow it was great. The burgers were great, also and everything was reasonably priced. Well worth the stop.

25.00 for a seafood platter should have more then three items on the plate i got the deviled crab with scallops and flounder, for that price they should have added the shrimp and clam strips, coming from Maine this is my opinion. My wife had the chicken tenders and said they were very good and the price was reasonable good portion. The atmosphere was clean and normal noise level for a restaurant all in all was a good experience prob will go back and try again just not for the seafood.

Wife and I stopped in tonight for our first time. Our waitress was amazing, Food was excellent, Price was great. While dining we noticed that every single employee was constantly busy, helping each other out. Manager never stopped helping out also. I stopped him briefly to thank him for a great evening out for me and my wife. All around perfect evening. This staff is well trained and great with one another. I highly recommend dining here.

Croissants with the salad appear to come from the store, not house made, as I've come to expect with other restaurants. House salad dressing was good. Conch fritters a little tough, no warning that the remoulade was a little spicy hot.

1st time to this restuarant and had a very good experience. Had no wait time for a table but place was busy. Ordered the southwest grilled chicken wife had popcorn shrimp both were delicious and the price was not bad. I will definitely be back to The Palms even with the 45 min drive.

Drove through Newberry this evening so decided to stop here to eat. My wife had eaten here before but I had not. I had the chopped steak (or as I call it "Hamburger Steak" and it was really good. I would most certainly eat here again. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star was because the service was a tad slow but nothing extreme that would warrant me to be overlay upset about it.

The food was good, the wait for the food was over an hour ...I wanted to try their conch and was very disappointed ...they were so hard I was afraid I would crack a tooth if I continued to eat it. I got the steak and shrimp dinner and that was awesome!!! My husband had the fried shrimp and scallop dinner and he really enjoyed his meal ...the wait staff was great ...

The food was alright. Quite flavorless. The chicken tenders (fried) were tough, and I asked to have them tossed in wing sauce. I couldn't even taste the wing sauce! The highlight of my meal was the baked potato and even that was sub par! There was also quite a long wait time for a waiter to come around, even though the place wasn't busy. So disappointed!

Our waitress walked pass our table and didnt acknowledge us until we asked if she was our waitress. We ordered our food after being there for about 20 minutes. Food arrived about 15 minutes later. My husband ordered buffalo wings all flats with no ranch or blue cheese. They gave him 5 drums and 5 flats and the dressing was wasted on the chicken. We mentioned to the server that the order was wrong and she replied oh well I just bring out the food. She then took the chicken back and returned with the same chicken minus the drums and wiped off the ranch...really

This is a great place to eat. The wife and I stopped there for lunch and were really impressed with the freshness and quality of the food. The food was cooked perfectly, the ingredients were fresh and our waitress was excellent. There is a wide selection of food to choose from and the prices were reasonable. Thank you Brandon the Manager for allowing us to celebrate my husbands 40th bday! Brandon did an awesome job personally overseeing everything went smooth. Lisa our waitress was outstanding! Our drinks were never empty and we did not have to wait on anything despite our big crowd. And lastly thanks to Stewart and the kitchen crew for serving us such hot delicious food. We had a variety of foods that were all done well and tasty. I definitely recommend The Palms for your night out!

The food here is great, one of my favorites in town. The portions are large, and I've never ordered anything here that wasn't delicious. The atmosphere is hit or miss however--with part of it being a bar it can sometimes be loud or less than family friendly. Overall definitely a great place to eat if you want a place that's reasonably priced and satisfying.

This place is fantastic! Work has brought me to the area in the past couple of weeks and my wife and I have eaten here twice. I love about an hour away and would seriously consider driving here for dinner. Great service, awesome portions and quality food. They are not afraid to feed you here. I’ve had the grilled shrimp and scallops as well as the shrimp and grits. We also really enjoy the hot crab dip! Keep up the good work Palms, you will continue to be successful!

We come almost every Friday. I love the variety of the specials. My Husband loves the Paddy Melt and orders it quite frequently. The atmosphere, staff and service is outstanding. Chef STEWART is the best cheft in SC. Palms is so well managed by Brandon and the owner Keven could not have chosen a better person. The bar is courteous and efficient. I suggests you consider driving the distants to try this fabulous restaurant. Oh, and the prices are very affordable too!!!.
