The service was incredibly slow. We waited for 10 minutes before I sought out a server. After we ordered, it took almost 45 minutes for our food to come out. It was mediocre at best. The shrimp were about the size of a nickel. For what we paid and the service we got, we will not go back.

Went for lunch with a group, saw a variety of items from the very interesting menu. Everyone enjoyed what they had, the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese on Hawaiian bread was a big hit.

Cool location. Free concerts but expect to smell like stale cigarettes if you go out back and expect 30 minute waits for any form of beverage on Sundays. Appears to be only 5 bartenders serving several hundreds of patrons.

Loved going to the Boathouse when in Myrtle Beach but the last 2 years we were there it was very different. The food was the same delicious meals but the service and whole atmosphere had changed. Unfortunately, we haven't been back in a while and have no plans to.

The most fun, laid-back bar in Myrtle Beach. I always looked forward to Sunday Funday, they have a pretty decent concert lineup that doesn't get super crowded. They attract some decently well known bands for some weekends. The food is good and affordable, but the beer selection is lacking (as is the norm for most places in Myrtle). There's tons of places to hang out - indoor bar, the back deck, the grass lawn, the volleyball court, or the docks down on the waterway. On weekends they have a band indoors and a DJ outside. I only had table service once, which left a lot to be desired (the server was nasty for no apparent reason), so I recommend just coming to drink or order food at the counter and bring it down to the grass or the water and enjoy the weather.

4 stars would be 5 but, I have a suggestion. With the summer Sunday funday show, yall could cut out a lot of single use plastic by have a refillable water station and it would save your bar tenders time to make more $ for drinks. So conserve and make more $.

The Boathouse has been my favorite place in Myrtle Beach since the first time I ever went to an event there over a decade ago. Great events, no cover charge, and the best have performed there. And it’s always free!!! Great prices on food and drinks. Stage inside and the main stage outside is on a grass hill facing the waterway. You can pull up on your boats or plenty of parking for the cars. Bars inside and out. Sand volleyball, wooded picnic tables and sitting area top of hill and there’s always vendors outside selling great merchandise during shows. Love this place, always will. Lived 45 minutes from it before I moved to Alabama recently. Miss it and glad my family lives there so I can check out events schedule and go see a show when back home. Highly recommend for those who love good music and a good time:)

Will go back, this place is an awesome hangout and has bands all the time. Famous ones sometimes. The food is almost there, the food can be a bit dry. Servers and the amount of beers on tap are the saviors for this place when there arent bands in town. Great place to meet locals and get into the society out here.

Great hidden gem along the waterway. Food and drinks were great and reasonably priced. Awesome outdoor bar & patio overlooking the water. Free concert Fridays are so fun and there's an outdoor stage as well for larger shows. Highly recommend of you're in town!

After 3 recommended restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area were either closed or total cigarette filled dive bars..... WE FOUND A clean, spacious, welcoming place, right on the water!!! The waitress was very quick, and quite nice. The cheese sticks were hand beaded, and I could've eaten 5 baskets of them. The chicken wings were pretty yummy, and they even have bands on certain nights. We will definitely be going back! Thank you for being the light at the end of our vacation tunnel!!

Pretty good place but unfortunately there’s an employee there named Lauren who doesn’t know how to separate work from home apparently. Has a very bad attitude, speaks badly about guests (which I overheard as a guest) and has been harassing girls and threatening them at work and outside of work. If you’re a pretty female, please watch out as she will give you dirty looks, gossip to her coworkers and is just a buzzkill! This has happened multiple times I’ve been and when friends of mine have been! Won’t be back if she is still there!

Food was a little better than jail food, but barely. The service was absolutely terrible.the bartender went to get our ketchup and stopped to talk to the manager for 5 minutes ,we were finished eating by the time she turned around to give it to us. Then this heavy woman who said she was the manager cussed a nice lady out after she forgot to bring her drink out. I would have fired her on the spot.rating maybe a 2

We stopped in the doorway for sometime. Finally a lady yelled across the bar to seat ourselves and so we walked past her to the patio and sat down. We were not greeted or waited on. We finally left. The bar was full and there was one large table that I noticed when we got there so it wasn't like they were busy.

Just got appetizers and beer. Beer selection wasn't great and they didn't have the first 2 I ordered. Untapped menu hadn't been updated in a few weeks. Appitzers were pretty decent and staff was excellent. Spot seemed pretty cool. Little room at back right on the water. Had some game indoors and lots of TV's.

Nice roomy place. Patio seeing over looking the river. They have love entertainment on Sundays. The food is good. Fish chips were dinner perfectly and the fried chicken sandwich is humongous. It was a fun atmosphere and we all had a great time.

The food was wonderful! I have no complaints about the food whatsoever. The service was decent. We did have a very large crowd so that could have been part of the reason as to why we didn't get the best of service. The place we sat at was in a large back room. It was very comfortable, but it was very, very hot. After coming off of the boat, this was somewhat of a let down since we were looking for AC. However, this is just based off of one experience. The view itself was very relaxing and enjoyable. The environment was also nice. I will most likely be going back despite my experience due to the amazing food they serve!

The Boathouse is a really cool spot in Myrtle Beach because during the season they will do free shows on Sundays. Usually when you think of free shows you thinking cruddy bands, but these guys really bring out great names and great music. All the locals are a huge fan of The Boathouse, I can pretty much guarantee any time that I go there if it's a good show almost everyone from my local high school will have been there

The Best Back Yard in town!! The Boathouse is always so much fun, they always have some sort of live entertainment and the Sunday Funday Concert Series every summer is wonderful! It's a great place for the whole family to sit out and have a great time. Highly recommend grabbing a blanket or a dre chairs and stopping by for.

Dropped in for a bite after a concert at the Opry. The beer was cold, the tacos were tasty and the patrons were pleasant. It's a great venue right on the Waterway. Off season it's never crowded but good luck in season. It's a fun place.

Def a cool spot facing the Intracoastal Waterway while enjoying the band. Free admission with some bigger names than you might expect. Alcohol is a little pricier than the average bar around here, but still reasonable considering the free show (I paid $6 for an IPA of which they had quite a few to choose from as well as $5.50 for a shot of Fireball, and I understand if you discount my review for my liquor selection). The venue is large enough inside and out that even with a thousand or so people that it didn't feel too crowded (bigger names will pack it tighter, obviously). Decent mix of a crowd that any age group should feel comfortable, but again a lot of that is depending on the band. Could use more or larger bathrooms, and some of the staff could smile a bit more, which is pretty much my only knock on it. Guys, there's plenty of fine women running around. Be courteous and respectful, don't get too drunk and unruly, and you'll really have a good time

The rib eye steaks were tough. The seafood platter was terrible. There were 8 of us. The chicken tenders got a 'thumbs up'. Or else I would have given it 1 star. I have eaten there in the past and the food was good. Something's happened there. I won't be going back.

This place is fun but a bit of a contradiction. Straws are paper, stir sticks are bamboo, cups are one use plastic. I'm not sure I can this purely American cuisine. Our table is active arguing about what kind of cuisine this should be called. It's a bit of contradiction all the way around. Shrimp nachos are amazing because of the shrimp. Duck BLT amazing. Chicken and biscuit sandwich amazing. Burgers are good, but compared to above just average.... Drinks are fun.

Best chicken strips and fries ever!!! AND THEY HAVE PAPER STRAWS! They have recently changed their menu and its AWESOME! I highly reccomend the Shrimp and Grits! You also can go wrong with their Grilled Chicken Avocado Sandwich. Or you could just enjoy the view of the Waterway while you enjoy a beer or other beverages of your choice in their beautiful new Beer Garden. Oh and let's not forget they have live music events!

Worst service ever experienced. had to flag down rude waitress to make order which was never delivered then flagged down a waiter who was kind enough to take order then disappeared for 40 min. When finally returned order was inquired about to no avail. Waited another 30 min before asking to talk to manager who was defensive and rude ( wonder where the waitresses get their attitude). No offer of apology only defensive excuses and insinuations of lying about wait time. Food finally delivered after 1 hr 20 min. Without any sign or offer of oversight or lack of attention. Management has NO sense of customer service or customer satisfaction. This establishment is in dire need of sensitivity training not to mention resturant management. Food was acceptable but not nearly worth the time spent of my life I will never be able to recover. To illustrate the total nerve and disrespect for customer satisfaction no offer of compensation or reason was offered for the total ineptitude of the staff and management. I was totally disgusted and dissatisfied with this poor excuse for a resturant offering a pleasant meal and service. My only reason for continuing my exhaustive wait for mediocre food was to see just how ineptitude this resturant could achieve. Well I found out but fool me once shame on you fool me twice no chance. I look forward to your closure.

Great place to grab a drink (nothing fancy) and even listen to live music on Friday evenings, where it gets PACKED but you cab step out back for a nice view of the water and catch some fresh air. Food was actually pretty good bar food! No high-end alcohols but still a good place to go and unwind. In waking distance to a few hotels, so you can people-watch quite a variety. TVs everywhere to watch the game (football, golf, UFC, etc.) And converse with your fellow man.
