My dad and I went here on our last full day of vacation. I ordered the BBQ bacon burger and chili cheese fries, and let me tell you, that was the most flavorful burger I have ever had. Oh, and the chilli cheese fries, those were soft and crunchy at the same time. I cant wait to come back to this bar on our next vacation.

Great food. The owner brought us our food and took care of us. Very nice person and place. Light music in the background. Price for food and drinks are very reasonable. We will go back before we leave town. Had pizza, chicken parm sandwich and tater skins.

Came here first day at the beach. They has the best chicken, they buy them fresh everyday & sauces are homemade. Want a good hot dog, definitely try the Carolina! The coleslaw was amazing. Great drink specials all day & at happy hour! The owner is the definition of great customer service & dining. The only downfall is you are able to smoke inside the restaurant but we were cool with that.

This is a great spot. Don't judge a book by it's cover. It doesn't look like a lot from the outside but the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Probably the best tasting food for the $ in the Myrtle Beach area. It's very affordable. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing experience! Had time to wait for flight so decided to get lunch here before going to the airport. My SO and our 10 month old got here a half hr before they opened (11:30) and the owner came out and invited us in even though kitchen didn’t open till noon! She was soooo sweet! Wings were great! Crisiy skin and juicy inside. Had hot dog for kiddo. Atmosphere was dark but typical fun spots bar with 2 pool tables and many TVs. You can tell this is a local hangout and really impressed with the friendliness to us (tourists). You could tell owner was really proud and hung out with everyone while asking me several times how we were. Would totally come here again!

Went here in a night out from our hotel/tourist stay. Was walking distance, didn’t expect much. Bars a bit run down but the owner came up to us and recognized we were new and made sure to talk/greet us. That makes a place. Bartender was nice too.

Working as a cook here I got to see the kitchen, the ingredients in the recipes, and talk to the owner. The owner genuinely cares about everyone who takes the time to come in. He makes sure the food is always top quality here as well. If you've never been to The Barrel, you definitely should give it a try.

Fun little place. Super casual and comfy. TVs, jukebox, pool tables, darts. Great burgers and homemade pizza. I highly recommend the Pineapple Upside Down Cake cocktail. The staff is crazy friendly.

Stopped for one drink at this bar on the way to another one just to check it out. Ak glad my friends and I were only PLANNING on stopping for one drink because our stay wasnt so pleasurable. It seemed like unless you were a regular or local you were disregarded completely. Although it was a very busy weekend ( memorial day ) there were probably only 10 people there. The bartender took her time over to see what we wanted and never smiled or seemed to greet us in a welcoming manner at all. The other patrons had all of her attention since she seemed to know them all. We ordered margaritas and they were served with the reciept.of our bill!!! REALLY??????? We were sitting at the bartoo! What if we did want another drink? Geez! Wont return

1st time there... on our way to the airport. Wanted to see the shore and then get some quick eats. This B+ dive bar of sorts, with great good! A great experience minus the cigarette smoking. The service was good, food very yummy. I recommend the shrimp tacos with dirty rice, hubby had the shrimp po'boy with Cajun fries... all with a cold beer. Left full and ready for the flight home.

I visited here while on business and even though I was a first timer, they made me feel like a regular. The drinks were great and fairly priced, and their wings were EXCELLENT (I had medium and Thai chili). The owner said that they get the wings fresh from a local butcher.

We're from out of town and thought we'd check out this little beach bar in Myrtle Beach. But don't come here. There are men at the bar harassing women for being older and on facebook. The bartender is spacey with a terrible attitude. All she'll do is argue with you if she gets your drink wrong. the food is great. But the bartender will call the police on you for standing up to harassment. My husband and I felt so bad tonight for these women. This father son duo kept making fun of these ladies and when one finally told him to shut up, they started screaming at her from the bar! Then the bartender started in and started yelling that there were kids in the bar, but instead of taking care of the guys she was throwing the women out! The bartender kept making fun of the ladies, saying they were old and hags. I was so shocked told my husband we were leaving. That girl was so slow to get our tab and rolled her eyes at us when we told her we thought she was rude. She basically threw my husband's card and pen at him while she was yelling at the ladies again, tell them she was calling the police. I have never been so embarrassed to be in an establishment like this. if your visiting myrtle beach, stay away from this redneck hell.

My husband and I went on a Monday night with two college boys. We all had a fantastic time playing bingo, shooting pool, eating the appetizer specials ALL while waiting for a pizza, Burgers and Patty melt! Needless to say, the boys took food home! The owner, Done, was fabulous and Miss Judy was a pleasure to talk with. The boys are going back next week without us! ( I think you have a couple regulars!) Thank you so much for was wonderful night!

Cozy atmosphere, great owner and staff, very attentive, yet not overbearing. Best "bar" food on the beach. Wings are out of this world. Homemade pizzas are better than a lot of pizza parlors I have been to. Burgers are huge and other sandwiches, such as their Rueben and fish sammich, were spot on authentic. The Carolina burger and Carolina dog were authentic with cheddar (burger), chili, onions, slaw, and mustard... Messy and delicious!!! Many televisions and anything and everything when it comes to sports broadcasts. Although the bartender at the time was a Jets fan, he was very personable and had a keen eye making him aware of my every need before I even know I needed something,,,he was always one half step ahead. If you come to Myrtle Beach and don't stop in, then you're vacation is a complete fail.

Went there at 10pm for a couple of drinks and get a pizza. Not exactly a stylish place, but the locals were really chatty, the bartender was pleasant and the atmosphere was easy going. Prices were good and there wasn't any food leftover. Glad I stopped in.

Place was really cool, it's nice to have a drink and a smoke if you are a smoker. Yes I know some don't like it but oh well, if you want a non smoking restaurant go to a chain restaurant. The macho nachos were really good and the server was really nice. I ordered philly cheese steak and fries and wifey ordered patty melt. Very impressed with both. We went at happy hour, not too busy and prices were reasonable. I would go again when we are back in town, would like to check out the live band next time.

Kinda hard to actually rate the place. More a locals joint but staff very kind to tourist and the locals were nice also. The truth is i needed a place to kill time near the airport with 3 kidults 17 19 20 and myself 47. So in the end food quality 3 people 4.0 staff 5 and the place smelled and was dark needed a good make over on most aspects. Would i make it my next myrtle beach time killer before my plane? Yes

Went in on a Tuesday evening while on vacay, mainly because of reviews. Not busy at all!! Thankfully we didn't let the empty parking lot(can sometimes be a bad sign) keep us from going in! The food was awesome! 3 burgers, 1 Philly, 1patty melt and some wings! Not one complaint! Great service, prices and food! Def be back!

Food was amazing. It was really dark in the bar though and it felt like a bit of a local bar. No one made us uncomfortable though and we played pool and joked around. There was only one woman working though (bar and all the tables) so it understandably took her a little longer to take care of us.
